Twenty-one winter listings read on 25 September, priced by the pair and by the piece. The same label sells both ends of the socks aisle, and the badge points the wrong way in both cases.
Winter accessories are sold two ways at once - by the piece and by the pack - and AJIO's results page mixes them without comment. We read its socks, gloves, muffler and thermal listings on 25 September 2026: 139 with both a price and a stated MRP. Divide the multipacks by the count printed in their own titles and the socks aisle splits clean in two, at Rs. 31.67 a pair against Rs. 89. The discount badge points the other way, and no listing on the shelf publishes a rating to break the tie.
Every price below was pulled from AJIO on September 25, 2026 and checked against the MRP on the listing. Stack them with the live codes on our AJIO coupons page, which the deals desk re-verifies daily.

First: divide by the pack count before you compare anything. Twenty-five of these 139 listings state a count in the title, and on socks the multipacks work out at a median Rs. 31.67 a pair against Rs. 89 for a single - while wearing a bigger badge, not a smaller one. Second: treat the percentage as a statement about a declared number. Eighteen listings here declare exactly Rs. 999 and fourteen declare exactly Rs. 399, which is what produces badges of 86 to 92 per cent on socks selling for Rs. 39 to Rs. 136. Third: read the title before you read the category, because AJIO's 'gloves' results mix winter knits with ski gloves, boxing gloves and sun sleeves, and only the words tell them apart. Fourth: accept that this shelf offers no independent signal at all - no rating, no count, no fibre content, no GSM - so the picture, the pack count and the price are the whole of the evidence.

Every selling price, stated MRP and discount badge on this page was read on 25 September 2026 from ajio.com's own search results for gloves, muffler, thermal and socks, logged out, in India. 139 distinct listings returned a price and a stated MRP - 36 thermals, 35 mufflers, 34 socks and 34 gloves. Nothing was bought.
Twenty-five of the 139 listings state a pack count in the title - 'pack of 5', 'set of 2' - and 23 of those are socks. Every per-pair and per-set figure here divides the selling price by that stated count and nothing else. A listing that states no count is treated as one item, which is what the title says.
Socks, gloves, mufflers and thermals have different price bands and different badge medians, and the gloves query alone returns sun sleeves, ski gloves, boxing gloves and winter knits. We publish no single average across the shelf, because an average over those four would describe nothing a shopper could buy.
Not one of the 139 listings in this read publishes a rating average or a rating count. That is AJIO's own display rather than a gap in our reading, and it is why no card on this page carries a rating pill. On Myntra's comparable shelves roughly six in ten listings publish a count.
'Thermal', 'waterproof', 'abrasion resistant', 'everyday' and every other description on these cards is the listing's own text, reproduced as printed and not verified. No fibre content, GSM, warmth rating or size claim appears anywhere here, because none of these listings publishes one.
It depends entirely on whether you buy a pack. In our 25 September 2026 read of 34 sock listings, the 23 multipacks worked out at a median Rs. 31.67 a pair and ran from Rs. 17.80 to Rs. 149.50, while the 11 single-pair listings had a median of Rs. 89 and ran from Rs. 39 to Rs. 550. The cheapest rate in the read was a five-pack at Rs. 89, which is Rs. 17.80 a pair; the cheapest seated on this page is three pairs for Rs. 57.
Not on this shelf, and socks show why. The multipacks carry a median badge of 72 per cent and the single pairs 46 per cent — yet the multipacks cost about a third as much per pair. The badge is arithmetic on an MRP each listing declares for itself, and those declarations cluster on round numbers: 18 of the 139 listings declare exactly Rs. 999. The largest multiple in the read is 12.13 times, on a Rs. 39 pair of socks declaring Rs. 473.
Not on anything we read. None of the 139 socks, gloves, muffler and thermal listings pulled on 25 September 2026 published a rating average or a rating count. That is AJIO's own display rather than a gap in our reading — the same scrape returns ratings on other retailers. It means there is no sample size to separate two listings at the same price, which on the mufflers happens five times over at Rs. 120.
In this read the cheapest listing of any kind is a single pair of ankle-length socks at Rs. 39, carrying the largest badge on the shelf at 92 per cent off a declared Rs. 473. The cheapest glove is Rs. 51, the cheapest muffler Rs. 120 and the cheapest thermal piece Rs. 200. By rate rather than ticket, the cheapest socks are a five-pack at Rs. 89, or Rs. 17.80 a pair.
Both, and the titles do say which. In this read the thermal group ran from Rs. 200 for a single top or bottom to Rs. 1,094 for a set, with a median of Rs. 549. One label lists tops and bottoms separately at Rs. 200 each off a declared Rs. 399, so a matching pair costs Rs. 400 in two orders, and one listing is a two-set pack at Rs. 470 — Rs. 235 a set. As everywhere on this shelf, the pack count is in the title and the badge is calculated on the whole pack.
