Zoutons Picks — AJIO, August 2026

Two hundred and thirty listings read on 23 August, and not one of them carries a rating.

Prices & codes last verified August 23, 2026

We read 230 AJIO men's shoe listings on 23 August 2026 and seated 24, from Rs. 150 to Rs. 1,500. Two facts govern the shelf. AJIO publishes no rating for any of them, so there are no scores on this page and no way to rank these shoes by how they wear. And the discount badge is set by the brand, not the shoe: all 36 RED TAPE listings in the pull are 80 to 86 per cent off, their stated MRPs rising with price to hold the badge steady, while Shein cuts 19 per cent and Liberty 41.

Every price below was pulled from AJIO on August 23, 2026 and checked against the MRP on the listing. Stack them with the live codes on our AJIO coupons page, which the deals desk re-verifies daily.

Four rules for buying shoes on AJIO

First: never compare badges across brands here, because a RED TAPE 86 per cent and a Liberty 41 per cent are measuring completely different things - compare the rupee prices instead. Second: look for a named model, because AJIO publishes no ratings and a searchable model number like the Puma Tychonic or the Liberty Leap7X is the only route to review evidence. Third: prefer listings that state a sole, an upper or a closure over the many that say only "casual shoes", since on a shelf with no ratings the specification line is all you have. Fourth: check the live coupon page before checkout, the same discipline we applied to AJIO jeans and trousers under Rs. 999, because AJIO coupon thresholds usually need a cart rather than one Rs. 500 pair.

What we skipped — and why

What we skipped, and why: thirty-five of the thirty-six RED TAPE listings, because seating more than one would have filled a third of this page with a single brand running a single badge - we seated the cheapest and described the pattern instead. Twenty-five of ASIAN's twenty-six and sixteen of Campus's seventeen went the same way. We dropped every listing whose product photograph had already appeared, which on AJIO is substantial since each colourway gets its own listing. We dropped an Action knitted slip-on at Rs. 697 for a different reason: its listing photograph is genuinely low-resolution, below the file-size floor our own quality gate sets for a real product photo, and we would rather lose the pick than show you a smeared thumbnail. We also dropped the ninety-nine listings in the pull priced above Rs. 1,600, which is outside what this page is about, and every listing missing either a price or a stated MRP. Nothing was excluded for being poorly rated, because there are no ratings on this shelf to exclude anything by.

What we look for

We print no rating pills, because AJIO publishes no ratings

Not one of the 230 listings we read on 23 August 2026 carried a rating or a review count - the fields come back empty across the entire shelf. That is a material absence and we are not going to paper over it with a substitute score of our own invention. Every judgement on this page is therefore made on price, stated MRP, brand history and what the listing itself specifies about the shoe. Where a listing names a searchable model - the Puma Tychonic, the Liberty Leap7X Watson-1E, the New Balance Drift - we have said so, because looking that model up elsewhere is the only way to get review evidence for anything on this page.

We read the discount badge as a brand policy, and we checked whether it is one

RED TAPE returned 36 listings in this pull and every one is discounted between 80 and 86 per cent, with stated MRPs from Rs. 5,899 to Rs. 9,599 that rise in step with the selling price. Buda Jeans Co, OFF LIMITS and ASTEROID show the same pattern in miniature across three, three and two listings. That is a pricing rule applied to a catalogue, not 36 individual offers. Meanwhile Shein discounts by 19 per cent, Liberty by 41 and Campus between 33 and 56. We print each badge because AJIO prints it, and we never treat a large one as evidence that a shoe is worth more than its selling price.

We check the MRP against the price, and say so when the two stop relating

Only three of the 24 listings seated here state an MRP below Rs. 1,000. Two separate shoes claim exactly Rs. 1,999 while selling at Rs. 200 and Rs. 420 - a hundred and ten per cent apart. Across the sixteen sub-Rs. 500 listings in the full pull, stated MRPs run from Rs. 499 to Rs. 3,499. Where a listing does behave coherently we have flagged that too: MONZA's Rs. 842 is the only unrounded MRP in the read, and Shein, Liberty, Neemans and Campus all state list prices their own retail actually charges.

We seat one listing per photograph, and prefer listings that specify the shoe

AJIO gives each colourway its own listing and reuses one photograph across them, so we de-duplicated on the product image before selecting, and spread the 24 seats across as many distinct brands as the shelf allows rather than seating six near-identical RED TAPE entries. Within that, we favoured listings that state something checkable - a sole material, an upper, a closure, a named model - over listings that say only 'casual shoes'. On a shelf with no ratings, the specification line is the only thing a buyer has left to read.

FAQs

Which shoe should I actually buy on AJIO under Rs. 1,500?

This page cannot rank them on quality, because AJIO publishes no ratings for any of the 230 listings we read. What we can do is point you at the listings where the money and the information line up best. The Puma Tychonic at Rs. 1,200 and the New Balance Drift at Rs. 1,500 both name a searchable model from a real footwear company, so you can find reviews for them elsewhere - that is the strongest position you can be in on this shelf. The Liberty Leap7X Watson-1E at Rs. 1,297 is a named model from a sixty-year-old Indian manufacturer at a 41 per cent badge over a list price its own shops charge. Below a thousand rupees, the Campus ANON at Rs. 854 comes from India's largest volume manufacturer at a restrained 43 per cent.

Why is every RED TAPE shoe on AJIO 80 per cent off?

Because it is a catalogue-wide pricing rule rather than a sale. RED TAPE returned 36 listings in our 23 August 2026 pull and every single one is discounted between 80 and 86 per cent. The selling prices run from Rs. 896 to Rs. 1,598 and the stated MRPs run from Rs. 5,899 to Rs. 9,599 - they rise in step with the price, which is exactly what holds the badge constant. If the discount were a response to demand or to stock, you would expect it to vary across 36 shoes; it does not vary at all. The practical advice is to judge a RED TAPE listing on its rupee price and ignore the percentage entirely, because the percentage is the same on everything.

Why does AJIO not show ratings on shoes?

We do not know, and we are not going to speculate about a retailer's product decisions. What we can report is the fact: across all 230 men's shoe listings we read on 23 August 2026 - sneakers, casual shoes and sports shoes, two pages of each - the rating and review-count fields came back empty every time. Myntra, by contrast, publishes rating counts on effectively every listing, though it pools them across a brand's catalogue. The practical consequence for you is that AJIO shoe listings have to be judged on price, brand and specification alone, and that a listing naming a searchable model is worth substantially more than one that does not.

Are Rs. 200 shoes on AJIO worth buying?

At Rs. 200 you are buying a mesh-and-synthetic object with a short life expectancy, and you should buy it on that basis rather than on the 90 per cent badge attached to it. That badge is arithmetic over a claimed Rs. 1,999 that nothing about the shoe supports - the same brand states Rs. 999 or Rs. 1,999 across nine listings selling between Rs. 200 and Rs. 480. The genuinely interesting listings at the bottom of this shelf are the ones with coherent numbers: FRISBEE at Rs. 150 against a stated Rs. 499, CRISTOFANO at Rs. 300 against Rs. 999, MONZA at Rs. 421 against an unrounded Rs. 842. Those three are the only sub-Rs. 500 listings here whose two numbers have a believable relationship.

Do AJIO coupons work on cheap shoes?

Most AJIO coupon offers carry a minimum cart value, which is the practical problem on a shelf where a usable pair costs between Rs. 500 and Rs. 1,500 - one pair will often not clear the threshold and two will. We did not test any code at checkout for this page and will not quote a discount we have not seen applied; the live coupon page is linked above. What this read gives you is the baseline to beat on 23 August 2026: Rs. 150 for the cheapest shoe on the shelf, Rs. 854 for the cheapest listing from a major manufacturer, and Rs. 1,200 for the cheapest global-brand shoe with a model number you can research.

More AJIO coverage on Zoutons

How Zoutons picks deals Zoutons may earn a commission when you buy through links on this page. Every price, stated MRP and discount percentage here was read on 23 August 2026 from AJIO's own listing pages across three queries - men sneakers, men casual shoes and men sports shoes, two pages each. Two hundred and thirty listings came back; 131 priced under Rs. 1,600 carried both a price and a stated MRP, and the 24 seated here were chosen for brand and price spread after removing every listing whose product photograph had already been used, because AJIO gives each colourway its own listing. AJIO published no rating and no review count for any of the 230 listings, so this page carries no rating pills and no score of any kind; nothing on it should be read as a quality ranking. An MRP is the figure the listing states and we have not verified that any shoe here was ever sold at it, so every discount percentage on this page is arithmetic over AJIO's own two numbers rather than a measured saving - and where a brand applies one badge across its whole catalogue, as RED TAPE does across all 36 of its listings in this pull, we have said so. Upper materials, sole materials, closures and model names are quoted from the listings themselves and are reported rather than inspected; we have not handled any shoe on this page. AJIO prices change frequently and can differ once a coupon or bank offer is applied at checkout - re-check before paying.
