AJIO Jeans and Trousers July 2026: What Rs. 750 Actually Buys

AJIO men's jeans and trousers July 2026 Zoutons Picks collage — POSHAX relaxed-fit jeans, Levi's 505 straight jeans, NETPLAY tapered chinos and a SNITCH relaxed cargo
Zoutons Picks — AJIO Menswear, July 2026

On AJIO's men's bottomwear shelf the discount percentage is a fact about the seller's declared MRP, not about the money leaving your account.

Prices & codes last verified July 31, 2026

The short of it AJIO men's bottomwear, 179 listings read on July 31. Rs. 750 at 85% off Rs. 4,999, Rs. 750 at 50% off Rs. 1,499 — same money. Reliance's own labels use exactly two rates, 49% and 29%. A 19%-off jean at Rs. 649 beats every 85% listing. Best buy: the Levi's 505 at Rs. 992.

We read 179 in-stock men's jeans, trousers, chinos and cargo pants from AJIO's own search responses on July 31, 2026, and instead of sorting them by discount we sorted them by price — which is the only sort that survives contact with this shelf. Nine listings sell at exactly seven hundred and fifty rupees. Their badges read eighty-five per cent, seventy-five, seventy and fifty, because POSHAX declares a maximum retail price of Rs. 4,999 for a pair of relaxed jeans, Vogaan declares Rs. 2,999 for a cargo, Buda Jeans Co declares Rs. 2,499 and John Players Jeans declares Rs. 1,499. Every one of those four garments costs you seven hundred and fifty rupees. Drop one band and it happens again: seven listings at exactly six hundred rupees carrying eighty-five, eighty, seventy-six, seventy-six and seventy per cent, across five brands and stated MRPs from Rs. 1,999 to Rs. 3,999. Four listings at Rs. 1,120 carry sixty-eight and sixty. The discount percentage on this shelf is arithmetic performed on a figure the seller supplies, and across 179 listings we found 47 distinct declared MRPs producing 110 distinct selling prices — which is the numerical shape of a shelf where the badge is downstream of a choice rather than upstream of a saving. Two labels are the exception, and they are the reason chapter three exists. NETPLAY and DNMX are Reliance Retail's own brands, selling on Reliance's own platform, and between them they contributed twenty-six listings to our read: twenty at exactly forty-nine per cent and six at exactly twenty-nine. No other value appears anywhere in that set. That is a pricing rule applied to a catalogue rather than a badge negotiated per listing, and it means that inside those two labels — and nowhere else on this page — sorting by discount genuinely finds you the cheaper garment. The clearest single proof is a pair of NETPLAY tapered chinos at Rs. 407 and another pair of NETPLAY tapered chinos at Rs. 567, both against the same stated Rs. 799, separated only by which rate the listing sits on. At the far end of the shelf sit the labels that barely discount at all: MAX at fifteen and nineteen per cent, SNITCH at thirty-six to forty, Levi's at a median of sixty across nineteen listings. The MAX jean at Rs. 649 with its nineteen per cent badge is cheaper than every single eighty-five per cent listing in this read. If you want the version of this shelf sorted by label rather than by price, our AJIO menswear read and the piece on AJIO's unfamiliar labels cover it.

Every price below was pulled from AJIO on July 31, 2026 and checked against the MRP on the listing. Stack them with the live codes on our AJIO coupons page, which the deals desk re-verifies daily.

“A pair of NETPLAY chinos at Rs. 407 and a pair at Rs. 567 declare the same Rs. 799 MRP. Only the rate differs.” Zoutons Editorial Team

How to buy trousers on a shelf where the badge means nothing

Four rules follow from 179 listings where the discount is a property of the declared MRP. First: sort by price, never by discount. On this shelf that one change moves nine listings from looking like four different deals to being one price, and it puts a Rs. 649 MAX jean with a 19% badge ahead of every 85%-off listing in the read. Second: read the stated MRP as a claim, not a fact. When a pair of relaxed jeans declares Rs. 4,999 and sells at Rs. 750, and a slim jean from a thirty-year-old Indian label declares Rs. 1,499 and sells at the same Rs. 750, the second number is the one you can picture on a price tag in a shop. Prefer it, all else equal. Third: learn the two house labels. NETPLAY and DNMX price to a rule — 49% or 29%, nothing else across 26 listings — and inside those labels the badge is real information, so there the usual advice inverts and you should sort by discount. They are also where the genuinely cheap plain trousers live, from Rs. 407 up. Fourth: decide what the garment is for before you open the page. A Rs. 600 flat-front trouser and a Rs. 992 Levi's 505 are not competing purchases — one is the trouser you wear on Tuesdays and replace next year, the other is the pair still in your wardrobe in 2029. The shelf is deep enough to serve both, and the badge will help you with neither. Our AJIO coupon page tracks live cart codes, and our first-order guide and Rs. 500-off-Rs. 1,250 page cover the reductions that come off on top of these prices.

What we skipped — and why

What we skipped, and why: the cheapest listings in the read, which are cheap enough to be worth naming but too thin on brand history for us to recommend blind — TROMKO relaxed trousers at Rs. 256 with an 84% badge, Fabflee X AG pants at Rs. 267 and Rs. 272, TIGERSNAKE at Rs. 286, Indiclub trackpants at Rs. 260 and trousers at Rs. 290. The duplicate colourways and near-identical listings we fold into the picks rather than giving separate slots: three more POSHAX cargos at Rs. 750 to Rs. 950, two more Buda listings at Rs. 750 with the same 70% badge, three KOTTY jeans all at Rs. 480 and 76%, two Lee Cooper cargos at Rs. 884, two Highlander cargos at Rs. 756, and the second John Players Jeans straight fit at Rs. 750. The deep end we found too expensive to be interesting: a GAS cargo at Rs. 2,370 with a stated MRP of Rs. 9,480 — the highest declared MRP anywhere in the read — an LP Jeans cargo at Rs. 2,064, a GAP cargo at Rs. 1,750 and a U.S. Polo Assn. flared jean at Rs. 1,900. And the mid-shelf formalwear we left out because it is a different purchase from the one this page is about: Louis Philippe trousers at Rs. 1,196 and Rs. 1,651, Allen Solly at Rs. 1,474, Raymond checked trousers at Rs. 858 and four Arrow tapered trousers between Rs. 936 and Rs. 1,250.

What we look for

We read AJIO's own men's bottomwear listings

Every selling price, stated MRP and discount percentage on this page was read from AJIO's own search responses on July 31, 2026 — 179 in-stock men's jeans, trousers, chinos and cargo pants, across 47 distinct stated MRPs and 110 distinct selling prices. Not one listing in the read carried a customer rating or a review count, which is why there are no rating pills on this page: we do not publish a score we cannot source.

Then we grouped the shelf by what you actually pay

Sorting by discount is what the page invites you to do and it produces nonsense here. Nine listings sell at exactly Rs. 750 and their badges run 50%, 70%, 75% and 85%. Seven sell at exactly Rs. 600 with badges of 70%, 76%, 80% and 85%. Four sell at Rs. 1,120 with badges of 60% and 68%. Grouping by selling price instead makes the shape of the shelf visible in one pass: the badge is a fact about the declared MRP, and the MRPs range from Rs. 799 to Rs. 9,480 for garments that all cost between Rs. 256 and Rs. 2,370.

And we checked whether any label prices to a rule

Two do. NETPLAY and DNMX — both Reliance Retail's own labels, sold on Reliance's own platform — contributed 26 listings and every one is at exactly 49% (20 listings) or exactly 29% (6). No other value appears. That is the only place on this shelf where a bigger badge reliably means a bigger reduction, because the rate is fixed and only the MRP tier moves. Buda Jeans Co, with 25 listings, runs a median of 73% across a 58-79% spread; POSHAX runs 81-86%; Levi's runs 51-70%; MAX runs 15-19%.

So every pick states its price first and its badge second

Each of the 21 picks below leads with the rupees and names the stated MRP the percentage was calculated from, because those are the two numbers that let you compare listings honestly. Stated MRPs are the seller's own figures — we report them and do not verify them as prices anything has sold at. Where the same declared MRP produces two different selling prices, as with the Rs. 799 NETPLAY chinos at Rs. 407 and Rs. 567, we say so. Prices read July 31, 2026 and can change without notice.

FAQs

Why do AJIO listings at the same price show different discounts?

Because the percentage is calculated from the maximum retail price the seller declares, and sellers declare very different MRPs for similar garments. In our read of 179 men's bottomwear listings on July 31, 2026, nine sold at exactly Rs. 750 — one declaring an MRP of Rs. 4,999 and showing 85% off, one declaring Rs. 2,999 and showing 75%, one declaring Rs. 2,499 and showing 70%, and one declaring Rs. 1,499 and showing 50%. All four cost the same Rs. 750. The badge tells you what the seller wrote in the MRP field; it does not tell you what you save.

Are NETPLAY and DNMX cheaper than the other AJIO labels?

They are the most predictable rather than the outright cheapest. Across our read, all 26 NETPLAY and DNMX listings were discounted at exactly 49% (20 of them) or exactly 29% (6), with no other value appearing — both are Reliance Retail's own labels on Reliance's own platform. That fixed-rate structure is the one place on this shelf where a deeper badge reliably means a bigger reduction. Prices ran from Rs. 305 to Rs. 1,064, and the cheapest thing we picked anywhere on the page is a NETPLAY tapered chino at Rs. 407.

What is the cheapest pair of jeans worth buying on AJIO right now?

The DNMX mid-wash straight jean at Rs. 662, down 49% from a stated Rs. 1,299, is the cheapest denim in our picks and a straight leg is the cut least likely to date. If you want a mainstream label, the MAX rinsed regular fit at Rs. 649 is actually cheaper despite carrying only a 19% badge. And if you are buying one pair to keep, the Levi's 505 at Rs. 992 — 68% off a stated Rs. 3,099 — was the cheapest Levi's anywhere in the read and uses noticeably heavier fabric than anything else under a thousand rupees here.

Is an 85% off badge on AJIO ever worth chasing?

Only after you have looked at the price. In our read the 85% listings sold at Rs. 600 and Rs. 750, which is genuinely inexpensive — but a MAX jean carrying a 19% badge sold at Rs. 649, undercutting every 85% listing on the shelf, and John Players Jeans at 50% sold at the same Rs. 750 as the 85% pair. The deep badges cluster on labels declaring MRPs between Rs. 2,499 and Rs. 4,999 for garments that sell in the Rs. 600 to Rs. 950 band. Read the rupees, then the badge, in that order.

Which men's trousers on AJIO are best for office wear?

The plain slim flat-front trousers in the Rs. 500 to Rs. 700 band. The NETPLAY slim flat-front trouser at Rs. 509 (49% off a stated Rs. 999) is the least complicated buy — three separate NETPLAY listings sit at that exact price. If you want a label with a longer high-street history, the John Players slim flat-front trouser at Rs. 600 (70% off a stated Rs. 1,999) has the most believable MRP of anything at that price, and two more John Players chinos sit at Rs. 450. All of these are cotton flat-front cuts that take a shirt without looking casual.

More AJIO coverage on Zoutons

How Zoutons picks deals Zoutons may earn a commission when you buy through links on this page. Every selling price, stated MRP and discount percentage here was read from AJIO's own search responses on July 31, 2026 — 179 in-stock men's jeans, trousers, chinos and cargo pants — and all of them can change without notice. The central finding is our own analysis of that sample: nine listings at Rs. 750 carrying badges of 50%, 70%, 75% and 85%, seven at Rs. 600 carrying 70% to 85%, and 26 NETPLAY and DNMX listings carrying only 49% or 29%. Those counts describe the listings we read on that date; a larger or later pull would shift them. Stated MRPs are the seller's own declared figures, which we report and do not verify as prices anything has actually sold at, and our observation that some MRPs are more plausible than others is a judgement rather than a finding. None of the 179 listings we read carried a customer rating or a review count, so no pick on this page shows a rating pill — the absence is the seller's, not an omission of ours. Where the same declared MRP produces two selling prices, or the same listing name appears at two prices, we are describing how the shelf appears to a shopper and not alleging anything about how AJIO or its sellers set prices; discounting individual listings at different rates is ordinary marketplace practice and we cannot see stock or seller positions from outside. NETPLAY and DNMX are widely reported as Reliance Retail's own labels and AJIO is Reliance Retail's platform; that relationship is the basis for our reading of their fixed rates, and we have no visibility into the pricing decisions behind it. Descriptions of fit, rise, wash and fabric are the listings' own claims. Comments on garment behaviour — heavier denim outlasting lighter denim, straight legs dating less than fashion cuts, chino fabric weight differing between MRP tiers — reflect general understanding of these products rather than testing we have done. We have not worn any garment on this page.
