We read the offers payload behind abhibus.com/bus-ticket-offers on 17 October 2026 — 34 offer cards, 26 of them carrying a coupon code — and pulled the cap, the minimum fare and the user-type conditions out of each card's own terms text.

Every percentage offer is capped in rupees, and the cap binds early. Divide the cap by the rate and you get the fare at which the headline stops applying: RJ100's '50% off' is 50% up to Rs. 100, so it pays 50% only up to a Rs. 200 fare; at Rs. 800 it is 12.5%. OSRTC's 20% stops at Rs. 375, PAYAL30's 30% at Rs. 667, ROYAL30's 30% at Rs. 833.

And the big number on a card is usually a sum. ABHIFIRST's 'Rs. 500 off on your 1st booking' is Rs. 150 off at checkout, Rs. 225 of AbhiCash after the journey, and a chance at a Rs. 125 voucher. Existing users often get a different offer entirely under the same code. Nothing was booked for this page.

The break-even fares and the Rs. 800 worked examples are our own arithmetic over those published figures.

Every AbhiBus percentage has a rupee ceiling, and it binds early

We read the offers payload behind abhibus.com/bus-ticket-offers on 17 October 2026 — 34 offer cards, 26 of them carrying a coupon code — and pulled the cap, the minimum booking value and the user-type conditions out of each card's own terms text.

Not one percentage offer is uncapped. Every single one pays its headline rate only up to a fixed number of rupees, and the fare at which that ceiling takes over is just the cap divided by the rate.

The arithmetic is unkind. A code advertising 50% off pays 50% only up to a Rs. 200 fare. One advertising 20% stops at Rs. 375. Two advertising 30% stop at Rs. 667 and Rs. 833. A typical intercity fare sits above most of these thresholds, which means the number you should be reading is the cap, not the percentage.

The rule: fare at which the percentage stops = cap ÷ rate. RJ100's 50% up to Rs. 100 stops at a Rs. 200 fare. OSRTC's 20% up to Rs. 75 stops at Rs. 375. Above those fares every one of these codes is a flat rupee discount wearing a percentage's clothes.

Read the fourth column against your actual fare. Below it, the percentage is real; above it, you are getting a flat rupee amount and the percentage on the card is decoration. At Rs. 800 — an ordinary intercity ticket — six of the twelve codes here are already pinned to their cap.

Two codes are capped at their own minimum. VISACC pays 10% up to Rs. 200 but requires a Rs. 2,000 transaction, so the cap binds at exactly the minimum fare: it is a flat Rs. 200 off, never more and never less, and never available below Rs. 2,000. RBL300 needs Rs. 1,500 to start and a Rs. 3,000 fare to pay its full Rs. 300 — and it is void on Thursdays and Fridays.

The deep percentages are operator-locked. The 30% codes work only on two named private operators; the 50% works only on one state transport corporation. There is no code in this read that pays 30% on any bus you like.

The headline number is a sum, not a discount

The second thing the terms text gives you is what the big number on each card actually adds up. In most cases it is an instant-discount cap plus a cashback cap — and once, plus a prize draw.

The card headlineCodeWhat the terms actually sayWhat that means

The cashback half is not money off. AbhiBus credits it to the AbhiCash wallet after the journey completes, and it can only be spent on a later booking. If you are comparing what you will pay at checkout today, the cashback column is not part of the answer.

And the user type changes the offer, not just the amount. FESTIVAL is 20% for new users and 8% for existing ones under the same code. On RJ100, APSRTC and UPSRTC an existing user gets no instant discount at all — only wallet credit, capped at Rs. 50 in two of the three cases.

None of this is hidden. Every figure on this page is quoted from the terms text AbhiBus publishes on its own offer cards; the headline is simply the best case for a first-time user, summed across all the components. This page does not say any offer is misleading — it says the headline and the cap answer two different questions, and the cap is the one that decides your fare.

How to pick a code before you book

Start from your fare, not from the biggest percentage. Divide each cap by its rate to find where the code flattens out. If your ticket costs more than that, compare the caps in rupees and ignore every percentage on the page.

Check the operator first. The deepest codes in this read are locked to one bus company or one state corporation. A 30% code is worth nothing if your bus is run by someone else, and the two 30% codes here are new-user-only on top of that.

Split the headline into discount and cashback. Half of several 'save up to Rs. X' headlines is AbhiCash credited after travel. For the money you pay today, only the instant-discount cap counts.

And check the date and the day. FESTIVAL requires journey dates between 8 and 25 October 2026 and expires on 25 October; RBL300 is void on Thursdays and Fridays; several codes are once per user and one is once per card per month. Terms change without notice, so re-read the live offer card before relying on anything here.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why did my AbhiBus coupon give less than the advertised percentage?
Almost certainly because the cap bound before the percentage did. Every percentage offer on AbhiBus's offers page on 17 October 2026 carried a rupee ceiling, and the fare at which that ceiling takes over is simply the cap divided by the rate. RJ100's '50% off' is 50% up to Rs. 100, so it pays 50% only up to a Rs. 200 fare; at Rs. 800 it is still Rs. 100, which is 12.5%. OSRTC's 20% stops at Rs. 375, PAYAL30's 30% at Rs. 667 and ROYAL30's 30% at Rs. 833. On a typical Rs. 800 intercity fare, most of these codes are already paying their flat cap rather than their headline rate.
Does AbhiBus's ABHIFIRST code really give Rs. 500 off?
Not as an instant discount. The card says 'Get Rs. 500 Off on your 1st Booking'; the terms say 15% up to Rs. 150 off, plus 15% up to Rs. 225 cashback, plus a chance to win a voucher worth Rs. 125. Added together those three ceilings make Rs. 500, but only Rs. 150 of it is money off at checkout, the Rs. 225 is AbhiCash credited after the journey completes, and the Rs. 125 is a prize draw you may not win. On a Rs. 800 fare the instant discount is Rs. 120. The offer is new-user, first-booking, private buses only.
Do AbhiBus coupons work the same for existing users?
No, and the same code can mean two different offers. FESTIVAL pays 20% to new users and 8% to existing ones, both capped at Rs. 200, on a minimum booking of Rs. 500. On RJ100, APSRTC and UPSRTC an existing user gets AbhiCash cashback only and no instant discount at all — UPSRTC's existing-user ceiling is 10% up to Rs. 50 against a card headline of Rs. 500. The terms on each card state which group gets what; the headline figure is almost always the new-user maximum.
Is AbhiCash cashback the same as a discount?
No. The cashback share of these offers is credited to your AbhiCash wallet after the journey is completed, not deducted at checkout, and it can only be spent on a later AbhiBus booking. That distinction matters because several headline numbers are mostly cashback: APSRTC's 'up to Rs. 300' is Rs. 150 off plus Rs. 150 of wallet credit, and UPSRTC's 'up to Rs. 500' is Rs. 250 plus Rs. 250. If you are comparing the fare you will actually pay today, use the instant-discount column and ignore the cashback entirely.
Which AbhiBus coupon is best for a Rs. 800 bus ticket?
It depends which operator you are booking, because most of the deepest codes are operator-locked. On an Rs. 800 fare in this read: ROYAL30 pays Rs. 240 (30%) on New Royal Travels (Raipur), PAYAL30 pays Rs. 200 (25%) on Payal Travels, FESTIVAL pays Rs. 160 to a new user on any private bus, ABHIFIRST pays Rs. 120 on a first booking, and RJ100 pays Rs. 100 on RSRTC. The card-linked codes (RBL300 at a Rs. 1,500 minimum, VISACC at Rs. 2,000) do not apply at that fare at all. Check the operator and the user-type conditions on the live offer card before you rely on any of these.

Every percentage, rupee cap, minimum transaction value, user-type condition and expiry date here was read on 17 October 2026 from the offers payload embedded in abhibus.com/bus-ticket-offers, logged out, from India, with nothing booked and AbhiBus not contacted; 34 offer cards were returned, 26 of them carrying a coupon code. Each figure is quoted from that offer card's own terms text as AbhiBus printed it on that date. The break-even fares (cap divided by rate) and the worked examples at a Rs. 800 fare are our own arithmetic over those published figures, and the formula is shown on the page so it can be checked. This page does NOT assert that any AbhiBus offer is misleading, unlawful or wrongly advertised - the caps and conditions described here are published by AbhiBus on the offer cards themselves, and this page reproduces them alongside the headline so the two can be read together. Cashback described here is AbhiCash wallet credit applied after journey completion under AbhiBus's own terms, not a reduction in the fare charged at checkout. Offers, caps, minimums, operator eligibility and expiry dates change without notice and several codes are limited to new users, to one bus operator, to particular bank cards or to a number of uses per user; the terms shown on the live offer card and the price shown at your checkout prevail over anything here.
