AbhiBus lists 33 offers on its own offers page, and eleven of them set different terms for new and returning customers. On all eleven, the figure in the title is what a first-time booker gets. "Save upto Rs.500 on UPSRTC bookings" pays an existing user "10% upto Rs.50 cashback"; "50% off on RSRTC" becomes 10%, and arrives as wallet credit rather than money off the fare. We read every offer's own text on 8 October 2026. Below: the full new-versus-existing table, the caps that matter more than the percentages, and the codes where a returning customer is treated evenly.

Every headline on the offers page is the new-user number
AbhiBus publishes 33 offers on its own offers page. Eleven of them set out different terms for new and returning customers, and the pattern across all eleven is the same: the number in the offer title is what a first-time booker gets. What a returning customer gets is in the body text.
That is not hidden — the terms are published, in full, on the page, which is more than many travel sites manage. But a returning customer scanning titles is reading a list of numbers that do not apply to them, and on some of these offers the difference is very large.
The sharpest case: "Save upto Rs.500 on UPSRTC bookings" and "Save upto Rs.500 on HRTC Bookings". New users get 10% up to Rs. 250 off plus 10% up to Rs. 250 cashback. Existing users get, in AbhiBus's own words, "10% upto Rs.50 cashback". The headline is ten times the returning customer's ceiling.
Read on for the full table, the "50% off" that becomes 10%, and the distinction between a discount and cashback that decides what you actually pay today.

The "50% off" that is 10% off for most people
The single largest advertised percentage on the whole offers page is RSRTC: "50% off on RSRTC bookings", code RJ100, which has been running since 18 November 2023.
AbhiBus's own description: "New users get 50% upto Rs.100 Instant Discount + 10% upto Rs.100 AbhiBus Cashback. Existing users get 10% upto Rs.50 AbhiBus Cashback."
So for a returning customer the 50% is actually 10% — a fifth of the advertised rate — and it arrives as wallet cashback rather than money off the fare. The maximum benefit falls from Rs. 200 to Rs. 50.
There is a second thing worth noticing about this one even for new users. Fifty percent sounds enormous, but it is capped at Rs. 100, so the cap binds on any fare above Rs. 200. On a Rs. 800 Rajasthan state bus ticket, "50% off" is Rs. 100 — 12.5%. The percentage describes the first Rs. 200 of your fare and the cap describes everything after it. Setting a cap on a promotional discount is completely standard and the cap is published next to the percentage; it simply means the headline rate and the real rate diverge the moment the ticket costs anything substantial.
Cashback is not a discount, and on these offers that is the whole difference
Look again at how the RTC offers are worded. The new user's benefit comes in two halves: an "instant discount" and a "Promo AbhiBus Cashback". The returning customer's benefit, on most of them, is only the second half.
That distinction decides what leaves your bank account today. An instant discount comes off the fare at checkout. Promo cashback is credit in the AbhiBus wallet — useful if you book buses on AbhiBus regularly, worth nothing if this is the one trip you take this year, and spendable only back through the same platform.
On APSRTC, TGSRTC and UTC300 the existing-user term is "10% up to Rs.150 Promo AbhiBus Cashback" with no instant discount at all. The fare at checkout is the full fare; the benefit shows up afterwards, in the wallet, for next time. It is a real benefit and it is honestly labelled — it is just not a lower ticket price.
None of this is improper and nothing here suggests it is. Offering better terms to new customers is how acquisition pricing works everywhere, cashback is a legitimate and common reward mechanism, and AbhiBus publishes all of these terms openly rather than burying them. The reason to set it out is simply that the offers page sorts by headline, and the headline is written for someone who has never booked.
Where returning customers are treated evenly
A page that only listed the bad cases would be a misleading page, so here are the offers where coming back costs you little or nothing.
GSRTC is the fairest on the list. New users get 10% up to Rs. 50 instant discount plus 10% up to Rs. 50 cashback; existing users get 10% up to Rs. 50 — the same rate and the same cap as the new user's discount half. The gap is one of the two halves, not a tenth.
APSRTC, TGSRTC and UTC300 keep the rate and the cap identical for returning customers at 10% up to Rs. 150, and only the instant-discount half is withheld. Half of Rs. 300 is Rs. 150, which is a far cry from Rs. 500 becoming Rs. 50.
The two festive-season offers are the most generous to returning customers in absolute terms. The live FESTIVAL code gives existing users 8% up to Rs. 200 off plus 8% up to Rs. 200 cashback — a lower rate than the new user's 20%, but with the same Rs. 200 caps and, crucially, including an instant discount. For a returning customer this is worth more than any RTC code on the page, with a maximum of Rs. 400 against the RTC codes' Rs. 50 to Rs. 150. It requires a minimum booking value of Rs. 500, applies only to private bus bookings and not government RTCs, and AbhiBus states it is valid only for journey dates between 8 October 2026 and 25 October 2026.
ASSURED, the other split offer, gives returning customers 8% up to Rs. 100 instant discount plus 8% up to Rs. 100 cashback on private operator bookings.
Some of these "offers" have been running for nearly four years
A detail that emerges from the offer objects' own validity dates. Several of these promotions are not seasonal at all:
HRTC has been live since 18 May 2022. APSRTC and Kerala RTC since 1 December 2022. TGSRTC since 14 December 2022. RSRTC since 18 November 2023. UPSRTC since 31 October 2023. The Rs. 500-off-first-booking offer carries a start date of 9 January 2024. Most now carry an expiry of 31 December 2026, with APSRTC running to 16 April 2027 and two card offers to 31 May 2027.
The HRTC offer, in other words, has been continuously available for more than four years. That is useful information rather than a criticism: it means these state-transport codes are standing terms rather than flash sales, so there is no reason to rush a booking to catch one. Keeping a long-running promotion open is an ordinary commercial decision. The genuinely time-bound offer on the page is the festive one, whose journey-date window closes 25 October 2026.
Dates and terms are AbhiBus's own, read 8 October 2026, and can be changed by AbhiBus at any time.
What a returning customer should actually do
One: if you are booking a private operator, use the festive code rather than a state code. For existing users FESTIVAL is worth up to Rs. 400 (8% off up to Rs. 200 plus 8% cashback up to Rs. 200), against Rs. 50 to Rs. 150 on the RTC codes — and part of it comes off the fare rather than into a wallet. It needs a Rs. 500 minimum, excludes government RTCs, and its journey-date window ends 25 October 2026.
Two: if you are booking a state bus, check which state. The RTC codes are not interchangeable and the returning-customer value ranges from Rs. 50 (UPSRTC, HRTC, RSRTC) to Rs. 150 (APSRTC, TGSRTC, UTC300). Same operator type, three times the benefit, depending on the state.
Three: read the word before the cap. "Instant discount" lowers the fare now; "Promo AbhiBus Cashback" is wallet credit for a future AbhiBus booking. If you are not a regular, treat the cashback half as worth less than its face value.
Four: compare the cap against your fare, not the percentage. A 50% code capped at Rs. 100 is a Rs. 100 code on anything above Rs. 200. On most of these offers the cap is the real number.
Five: check the bank and UPI offers separately. Several are not split by customer age at all — the RBL, AU Bank, Visa credit and debit, SBM ZET, MobiKwik UPI, Paytm UPI, Amazon Pay and BHIM offers on the same page apply on their own terms, and for a returning customer one of those may beat every code above.
All figures read from abhibus.com's own offers page on 8 October 2026. Offer terms change without notice; the terms shown at your own checkout prevail.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do AbhiBus offers work for existing users?
Most do, at a lower rate. Of the 33 offers published on AbhiBus's offers page on 8 October 2026, eleven set out separate new-user and existing-user terms, and on every one of those the figure in the offer title is the new-user figure. For returning customers the best on the page is the festive FESTIVAL code at 8% off up to Rs. 200 plus 8% cashback up to Rs. 200 (new users get 20% and 20%). The state RTC codes range from 10% up to Rs. 150 in cashback (APSRTC, TGSRTC, UTC300) down to 10% up to Rs. 50 (UPSRTC, HRTC, RSRTC). Offering better terms to first-time customers is ordinary commercial practice and no wrongdoing is alleged; the terms are published in full on the page.
Is AbhiBus's 50% off RSRTC offer real?
It is real for new users, capped, and much smaller for everyone else. AbhiBus's own text for code RJ100 reads: "New users get 50% upto Rs.100 Instant Discount + 10% upto Rs.100 AbhiBus Cashback. Existing users get 10% upto Rs.50 AbhiBus Cashback." Two things follow. For a returning customer the rate is 10%, not 50%, and it is wallet cashback rather than money off the fare. And even for a new user the 50% is capped at Rs. 100, so on any fare above Rs. 200 the cap binds — on a Rs. 800 ticket the discount is Rs. 100, or 12.5%. Capping a promotional percentage is standard and the cap is published beside it.
What is the difference between AbhiBus instant discount and AbhiBus cashback?
An instant discount comes off the fare at checkout; "Promo AbhiBus Cashback" is credit added to your AbhiBus wallet, spendable on a future AbhiBus booking. This matters because on the state RTC offers the existing-user benefit is usually cashback only — APSRTC, TGSRTC and UTC300 all give returning customers "10% up to Rs.150 Promo AbhiBus Cashback" with no instant discount, so the amount you pay on the day is the full fare. If you book buses on AbhiBus regularly, cashback is worth close to its face value. If this is a one-off trip, it is worth considerably less, and an offer that includes an instant discount is the better choice.
Which AbhiBus state RTC coupon code gives the biggest discount?
It depends entirely on whether you have booked before. For new users, UPSRTC and HRTC are the largest at up to Rs. 500 each (10% up to Rs. 250 off plus 10% up to Rs. 250 cashback), followed by APSRTC, TGSRTC, KSRTC and UTC300 at up to Rs. 300. For returning customers the ranking inverts: APSRTC, TGSRTC and UTC300 are the best at 10% up to Rs. 150, while UPSRTC, HRTC and RSRTC drop to 10% up to Rs. 50. GSRTC and OSRTC are smaller in absolute terms (Rs. 100 and Rs. 150 ceilings) but GSRTC keeps the same 10% up to Rs. 50 for existing users. Each code works only on that state corporation's buses.
Is the AbhiBus FESTIVAL offer still valid in October 2026?
As published on 8 October 2026, yes, within a stated window. AbhiBus's terms for code FESTIVAL say the offer is "valid only for journey dates between 8 October 2026 and 25 October 2026" — note that is the journey date, not the booking date. New users get 20% off up to Rs. 200 plus 20% cashback up to Rs. 200; existing users get 8% off up to Rs. 200 plus 8% cashback up to Rs. 200. A minimum booking value of Rs. 500 applies, it works on private bus bookings and not government RTCs, you must be logged in, and it can be used once per user during the offer period. Offer terms can change at any time; check the live page before booking.

Offer terms, percentages, caps, codes, eligibility and validity windows are set by AbhiBus and its partners and can be added to, withdrawn or changed at any time without notice, so the terms described here may already differ from those that apply to your booking; the terms shown on AbhiBus's own page and at your own checkout prevail over anything on this page. Nothing on this page alleges that any offer, headline, percentage, cap, cashback term or set of eligibility conditions described above is false, misleading, improper or unlawful, or that any dark pattern, bait advertising, drip pricing, unfair trade practice, misleading advertisement or breach of the Consumer Protection Act, the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, the Guidelines for Prevention and Regulation of Dark Patterns or any other law, rule or guideline has been committed by AbhiBus, by ixigo, by any state road transport corporation named above, by any private bus operator, bank, card network or payment provider, or by any associated entity, and no wrongdoing is alleged or implied. Offering more generous terms to first-time customers than to returning ones, capping a promotional percentage at a rupee amount, paying a benefit as wallet cashback rather than as an instant discount, titling an offer with its maximum value, restricting an offer to one operator or state corporation and running a promotion for an extended period are all ordinary and lawful commercial practices; this page sets out published terms so that a returning customer can compare them, and the terms themselves are published openly by AbhiBus rather than concealed. Statements that a benefit is 'worth less' as cashback than as a discount describe the practical difference between wallet credit redeemable on a future AbhiBus booking and money deducted from the fare at checkout, and are not a claim that cashback is not paid or is not genuine; we did not book, pay, redeem a code or receive cashback, so this page describes published terms rather than how any of them operate in practice, and a reader's own experience may differ. Rupee illustrations such as the discount on a Rs. 800 fare are arithmetic examples applying the published percentage and cap, not quotations, offers or observed fares.
