Prices & codes last verified August 9, 2026

The short of it Vijay Sales' own category pages, 49 rows read on August 9. Seven 32-inch sets sit inside Rs. 3,600, at 21 to 43 per cent off. One is Full HD at the HD Ready price. A 43-inch Sony is Rs. 44,990; a 55-inch LG is Rs. 46,890. No listing here carries a rating.

We read 49 Vijay Sales listings on August 9, 2026 and seated 17 televisions. Seven 32-inch sets land inside a Rs. 3,600 window with badges running from 21 to 43 per cent, and one brand owns three of the seven at a Rs. 550 spread. Inside that window the discount tells you nothing and the specification tells you plenty: a Full HD TCL costs exactly what an HD Ready LG costs. The decision that matters, though, crosses the size boundary - a 43-inch Sony is Rs. 44,990 and a 55-inch LG is Rs. 46,890.

Every price below was pulled from Vijay Sales on August 9, 2026 and checked against the MRP on the listing. Stack them with the live codes on our Vijay Sales coupons page, which the deals desk re-verifies daily.

Five rules for buying a television here

First: group by screen size before reading a badge - seven 32-inch sets here span Rs. 3,600 and 22 badge points. Second: compare across the size boundary, because 55 inches on this shelf costs Rs. 4,300 less than a 43-inch Sony. Third: read the operating system, since a proprietary OS depends entirely on the brand for app updates and outlives nothing. Fourth: check resolution rather than panel marketing - one 32-inch set here is Full HD at the same price as HD Ready rivals, the same kind of hidden step this series found on Reliance Digital's 55-inch wall. Fifth: confirm wall-mount charges, delivery and card offers at checkout, which is where large-screen money actually moves - as on the same retailer's monsoon shelf.

What we skipped — and why

What we skipped, and why: 32 of the 49 rows. Three deserve naming - our category pull returned an Acer Aspire 3 at Rs. 40,599, a second Acer Aspire 3 at Rs. 48,599 and an HP Thin & Light at Rs. 52,990, and we dropped all three rather than seat laptops on a television page. A structural note as well: vijaysales.com paginates client-side, so this read covers the server-rendered first page of two category slugs rather than the retailer's whole range. The remaining rows we left out repeated a size and price rung already seated: further 32-inch HD Ready sets between Rs. 15,000 and Rs. 17,000, several 43-inch 4K models within Rs. 1,500 of cards above, and two sets above Rs. 60,000. Nothing was excluded for being a bad product.

What we look for

We group by screen size before reading any badge

Seven 32-inch sets in this read sit between Rs. 13,490 and Rs. 17,090 - a Rs. 3,600 window - while their badges run from 21 to 43 per cent. One brand alone has three of the seven, at Rs. 16,540, Rs. 16,990 and Rs. 17,090, claiming Rs. 20,990, Rs. 24,490 and Rs. 24,990 and showing 21, 31 and 32. When one size and one price band produce that spread, the discount column is describing the MRP field. Grouping by size is the only way to see that a Full HD TCL and an HD Ready LG cost the same Rs. 16,990.

We compare across the size boundary, because that is where the real money is

The single most useful comparison on this page crosses two chapters: a 43-inch Sony at Rs. 44,990 against a 55-inch TCL at Rs. 40,690 and a 55-inch LG at Rs. 46,890. Twelve extra inches costs Rs. 4,300 less or Rs. 1,900 more depending on which you pick. Screen size changes how a television feels in a room more than processing does for most viewing. We say so rather than ranking within a size class and letting the boundary go unexamined.

We name the operating system, because it decides the set's useful life

Three platforms appear in this read: Google TV, LG's webOS and SANSUI's own Coolita. Google TV brings the Play Store and Chromecast; webOS is mature with the main streaming apps and a smaller catalogue; a proprietary OS depends entirely on the brand for updates and app additions. On the cheapest set here that is the real difference the Rs. 2,009 step buys. A panel outlasts its software support more often than the reverse, so we print the platform on every card.

We report resolution and panel type as stated, and say what they do

Every 32-inch set in this read is HD Ready at 1366x768 except one Full HD TCL at 1920x1080, which costs the same as an HD Ready LG. At 43 inches, 4K starts at Rs. 29,990. QLED and NanoCell are colour treatments - a quantum-dot film and a nanoparticle filter respectively - and improve colour volume rather than sharpness, which matters most in a bright room. These are the listings' own descriptions, reported not endorsed, and we have not viewed any of these panels.

FAQs

What size television should I buy for an Indian living room?

Forty-three inches is where a set starts working properly at normal sofa distance, and 55 is comfortable in most drawing rooms. On this shelf, in our August 9, 2026 read, 43 inches started at Rs. 21,990 for a Full HD SANSUI and 4K at that size started at Rs. 29,990 for a Panasonic. Fifty-five inches started at Rs. 40,690 for a TCL P6L. The most striking comparison in the read is that the 55-inch TCL costs Rs. 4,300 less than a 43-inch Sony on the same page.

Why do 32-inch TVs at the same price show such different discounts?

Because the badge is arithmetic against a stated MRP each brand sets for itself. Seven 32-inch sets in our read sold between Rs. 13,490 and Rs. 17,090 - a Rs. 3,600 window - with badges of 21, 29, 31, 32, 36, 41 and 43 per cent. One brand had three of them at Rs. 16,540, Rs. 16,990 and Rs. 17,090, claiming Rs. 20,990, Rs. 24,490 and Rs. 24,990. Same brand, same size, Rs. 550 apart in price and eleven points apart in badge. The claims move; the televisions barely do.

Is Google TV better than webOS or a brand's own operating system?

Google TV and LG's webOS are both mature platforms with the major streaming apps; Google TV adds the Play Store and built-in Chromecast, which matters when an app you want is not preinstalled. A proprietary system such as SANSUI's Coolita depends entirely on the brand for updates and additions, and that is the real difference the Rs. 2,009 step from the cheapest set in our read to a Google TV set buys. Since panels usually outlast their software support, the platform is worth reading before the panel marketing.

Should I buy 4K at 43 inches, or is Full HD enough?

Buy 4K if the step is small, and on this shelf it was. A 43-inch Full HD TCL was Rs. 26,990 and a 43-inch 4K Panasonic was Rs. 29,990 - Rs. 3,000 for four times the pixels, on a set you will keep for years while streaming services increasingly default to 4K. At 43 inches the difference is subtle on film at normal distance and obvious on text, menus and sport. Below Rs. 25,000 at that size, Full HD is a reasonable compromise; above it, it is not.

What do QLED and NanoCell actually mean?

Both are colour treatments rather than panel types. QLED describes a quantum-dot film placed over a standard LED backlight, and NanoCell is LG's nanoparticle filter that absorbs unwanted wavelengths. Each widens colour volume, which is most visible in a bright room, and neither improves sharpness - that is what resolution does. In our read the quantum-dot step at 43 inches cost about Rs. 2,000 over a plain 4K set. We report these as the listings' own descriptions; we have not viewed any of these panels.

More Vijay Sales coverage on Zoutons

How Zoutons picks deals Zoutons may earn a commission when you buy through links on this page. Every price, stated MRP and discount percentage here was read on August 9, 2026 from vijaysales.com's own server-rendered category pages across two category slugs, with duplicate product codes removed, and all of them can change without notice. That yielded 49 rows, of which we seated 17 televisions; three laptops the pull returned were dropped as out of category. The derived figures we quote - that seven 32-inch sets sit between Rs. 13,490 and Rs. 17,090 with badges from 21 to 43 per cent, that one brand holds three of those seven across a Rs. 550 spread, that the smallest badge in the read is 18 per cent and the largest 48, that a 55-inch set costs Rs. 4,300 less than a 43-inch one, and the rupee value of every discount - are ours, calculated from those rows. The site paginates client-side, so this read describes those pages rather than the retailer's complete television range; nothing above Rs. 47,000, no OLED sets and nothing above 55 inches is represented. Vijay Sales publishes no rating or rating count on any of these rows, so no rating pill appears on this page and we have not substituted an editorial score. A stated MRP is the manufacturer's or seller's own figure and we have not verified that any product here was ever sold at it. We have not switched on, calibrated, measured or viewed any television on this page. Screen sizes, resolutions, panel descriptions including QLED and NanoCell, HDR support, processor names, operating system versions, audio decoding formats and remote features are quoted from the listings as the manufacturer's or seller's own wording, reported and not endorsed. We have made no assessment of picture quality, motion handling, upscaling, brightness, viewing angles, sound or build. Statements of category convention - that 43 inches is where a set starts working at normal Indian sofa distance, that quantum-dot and nanoparticle filters improve colour volume rather than sharpness, or that a panel usually outlasts its software support - reflect general category understanding rather than any testing we performed. Product images are Vijay Sales' own listing images, rehosted. Wall-mounting charges, delivery, installation, warranty terms and card offers should be confirmed before you order.
