Prices & codes last verified August 11, 2026

We read 46 Vijay Sales laptop and tablet listings on August 11, 2026 and seated 22. One retailer, two aisles, two different sets of rules. The laptop aisle runs to 59 per cent off and nine of its 25 rows are badged 40 per cent or deeper. The tablet aisle produced a ceiling of 34 per cent across 21 rows and could not beat it once. The difference is not the hardware - it is who is allowed to state the MRP. And nothing on this wall carries a single customer rating.

Every price below was pulled from Vijay Sales on August 11, 2026 and checked against the MRP on the listing. Stack them with the live codes on our Vijay Sales coupons page, which the deals desk re-verifies daily.

Five rules for buying a laptop or tablet online

First: never compare a discount across the two aisles, because the laptop wall runs to 59 per cent and the tablet wall stops at 34 for reasons that have nothing to do with the products - the same MRP-field arithmetic we found across the percentage-versus-rupees read. Second: sort by price, then read the specification, because two identical Core 5 machines here sit Rs. 600 apart and seven badge points apart. Third: read the GPU suffix - a 6GB RTX 3050, a 4GB RTX 3050 and a 4GB RTX 3050A are three different parts sharing one name. Fourth: treat 16GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD as the floor for a machine you want to keep for years; that pairing starts at Rs. 65,999 here. Fifth: on a tablet, read the battery capacity and the storage before anything else, since neither can be upgraded later - the same fixed-at-purchase problem we flagged on the smartwatch wall.

What we skipped — and why

What we skipped, and why: 24 of the 46 rows. The largest single group was colourway and storage-variant duplication - a second Samsung Galaxy Tab A11 Plus identical to the seated one but in a different finish, two further Redmi Pad 2 Pro rows at Rs. 31,999 repeating the 16 per cent badge, and two Xiaomi Pad 8 rows at Rs. 37,999 that differ from each other in nothing our data can see. We also left out a second OnePlus Pad 4 listing at the same Rs. 59,999 and five per cent, three further Samsung slates between Rs. 34,999 and Rs. 39,999 clustered at an identical 31 per cent, and a long tail of laptop rows between Rs. 84,990 and Rs. 1,90,999 whose badges of nought to three per cent repeat the point the zero-badge cards already make. One row sits above everything else in the read - an Asus ProArt creator laptop at Rs. 2,69,990 - which we left out because a single Snapdragon X2 Elite workstation has no comparison anywhere else on this wall. Nothing was excluded for being a bad machine.

What we look for

We compare the two aisles before we read a single badge

This retailer's laptop aisle gave us 25 rows at a median Rs. 93,499 and a median badge of 35 per cent, with nine rows at 40 per cent or deeper and a ceiling of 59. Its tablet aisle gave us 21 rows at a median Rs. 34,999 and a median badge of 26 per cent, and not one row in the entire aisle beat 34 per cent off. That is not a statement about laptops being better value than tablets. It is a statement about who gets to fill in the MRP field: tablet manufacturers set and police the price their products are advertised against, and on the laptop side the stated MRPs are visibly free. We read the two aisles separately for that reason and we do not rank a laptop against a tablet on discount.

We compare machines at the same price, and specifications at the same specification

Two laptops in this read carry the same Core 5 processor, the same 16GB of RAM, the same 512GB SSD and the same 15.6-inch Full HD panel. They cost Rs. 69,999 and Rs. 70,599 - six hundred rupees apart - and they are badged 36 per cent and 29 per cent, because their stated MRPs are Rs. 1,08,850 and Rs. 99,999. Anyone sorting that aisle by discount would have ranked two identical purchases seven points apart on the strength of a number neither seller has to justify. Price and specification are the only two fields on this wall that carry meaning between listings.

We read the graphics card suffix, not just its name

Three machines in this read carry an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 and no two of them are the same part. One is a 6GB card, one is a 4GB card, and one is a 4GB 3050A - a lower-power variant that runs cooler and slower than the plain card. Those differences decide what the machine will actually do at 1080p and they are buried at the end of a hundred-character title. The same applies to RAM figures that look odd: a 12GB configuration usually means a soldered 8GB plus a 4GB stick, which changes what you can upgrade later.

We say when there is no crowd evidence, rather than inventing some

Not one of the 46 listings in this read carries a rating or a rating count. There is no customer evidence on this wall at all, which means we have attached no rating pill to any card on this page and every argument here is made from published specification and price. That is a genuine limit on what we can tell you: we can say which machine has more RAM, a better panel or a fuller-memory GPU for the money, and we cannot tell you which one has a keyboard people end up disliking or a hinge that fails in year two. Where a specification is the seller's own claim, we say so.

In our August 11, 2026 read of 46 Vijay Sales listings, the laptop aisle reached 59 per cent off with nine of its 25 rows badged 40 per cent or deeper, while the tablet aisle produced a ceiling of 34 per cent across 21 rows and never beat it. The reason is the MRP each discount is calculated against, not the products. Tablet manufacturers set and enforce the price their products may be advertised against, which keeps stated MRPs close to real ones and the resulting badges small. On the laptop side the stated MRPs are visibly free - one machine with integrated graphics carries a stated Rs. 1,84,990, which is flagship money for a mainstream 15-inch laptop. Compare prices, not percentages, and never compare a percentage across the two aisles.

Is a 59% discount on a laptop real?

The price is real; the saving usually is not. The deepest badge in our read is 59 per cent on a 13th-generation Core i5 with 16GB of RAM, a 512GB SSD and integrated Intel UHD graphics, priced at Rs. 75,999 against a stated MRP of Rs. 1,84,990. Rs. 1,84,990 is not a figure that machine was realistically sold at - that is workstation and flagship-ultrabook pricing, and this laptop has no discrete GPU. Judge it at Rs. 75,999, which is a fair price for that specification, and ignore the Rs. 1,08,991 the badge claims. The useful test is the one this page runs throughout: find another listing at a similar price and see whether its badge matches.

What laptop specification should I actually buy in 2026?

For general use, 16GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD is the pairing worth insisting on, because those are the two specifications that decide whether a machine still feels usable in three years and the two that are hardest to change on a thin chassis. In our read that combination starts at Rs. 65,999 with a Ryzen 5 and is available at Rs. 69,999 with a current Core 5. Below that everything drops to 8GB. For gaming, spend on the graphics card before the processor - at 1080p the GPU is the limiting component far more often - and read the exact card, since a 6GB RTX 3050, a 4GB RTX 3050 and a 4GB RTX 3050A are three different parts under one name.

Which listings here have no discount at all?

Two rows in our read are badged at nought per cent, and they are the most honest listings on the page. A Lenovo LOQ 15ARP10E gaming laptop sits at Rs. 1,18,999 against a stated Rs. 1,19,390 - a discount of Rs. 391. A Lenovo Idea Tab with pen sits at Rs. 28,999 against a stated Rs. 29,000, a discount of exactly one rupee. Nearby, the most capable device in the entire read - a OnePlus Pad 4 with a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, a 3.4K screen and a 13,380 mAh battery - is discounted five per cent. Current, in-demand hardware does not need a badge to sell, which is why the best things on this wall carry the smallest ones.

What is the best buy on this page?

For most people, the HP Thin & Light at Rs. 69,999 - a current Core 5 with 16GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD, the lowest price in our read that pairs all three. If your budget is tighter, the Acer Aspire 3 with a Ryzen 3 at Rs. 48,599 is the card we would take at the cheap end, because the Rs. 8,000 over the cheapest laptop here buys a real processor and a Full HD screen instead of a two-core Celeron and an HD one. For gaming, the Lenovo LOQ Essential at Rs. 93,499 is the cheapest route to the full 6GB RTX 3050. On tablets, the Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G at Rs. 33,999 sits at the aisle median with the largest battery and cellular data.

Every price, stated MRP and discount percentage here was read on August 11, 2026 from vijaysales.com's own listing data across two category listings - laptops and tablets - with duplicate name and price pairs removed, and all of them can change without notice. That yielded 46 rows, of which we seated 22. The derived figures we quote - that the laptop rows number 25 at a median price of Rs. 93,499 and a median badge of 35 per cent with nine rows at 40 per cent or deeper and a ceiling of 59, that the tablet rows number 21 at a median price of Rs. 34,999 and a median badge of 26 per cent with a ceiling of 34, that no tablet row in the read beats that 34 per cent, that the three largest stated rupee savings are Rs. 1,08,991, Rs. 1,07,291 and Rs. 1,03,891, that one brand filed 16 of the 46 rows, that not one of the 46 rows carries a rating or a rating count, and the rupee value of every discount - are ours, calculated from those rows. Because our pull fixed two category listings, these findings describe the listings we read rather than Vijay Sales' whole computing catalogue; no Apple hardware, no desktops, no monitors and no accessories are represented. A stated MRP is the seller's own figure and we have not verified that any product here was ever sold at it; where a claim is not credible on its face we say so on the card. Vijay Sales publishes no rating or rating count on any listing in this read, so no card on this page carries a rating pill and nothing here reflects customer experience. We have not benchmarked, opened, typed on, measured or otherwise tested any machine on this page, and all processor, graphics, memory, storage, display, battery and connectivity specifications are quoted from the listings as the seller's own wording, reported and not endorsed. Configurations sold under one model name frequently differ between retailers and between production batches - graphics variants sharing a single name, memory that is partly soldered and partly in a slot, and panel types the listing does not describe are all common - so the exact configuration, upgrade headroom, warranty terms, in-box contents and current selling price should be confirmed with the seller before you order.
