Three kitchen appliances sold on Vijay Sales — a Lifelong mixer grinder, a Lifelong digital air fryer and a Lifelong electric kettle — arranged as a colour-block layout, on this page about Vijay Sales kitchen appliance prices

An air fryer on Vijay Sales starts at Rs. 2,615. The median mixer grinder on the same aisle is Rs. 6,318. The appliance that used to be the aspirational one is now the cheap way into the shelf.

We read 131 listings across eight kitchen categories on 3 September 2026. Below: what each category actually costs, where the 62 sub-Rs. 3,000 listings sit, and why a Lifelong badge and a Philips badge are not the same kind of number.

All 131 listings were read from the server-rendered product cards on eight vijaysales.com kitchen appliance category pages on 3 September 2026, as served to a logged-out visitor, with nothing purchased. Vijay Sales moves these prices without notice, so we re-read the aisle and log what has changed here.

The air fryer is now cheaper to start than the mixer grinder

We read 131 kitchen appliance listings across eight Vijay Sales category pages on 3 September 2026. The number that stops you is the entry price on the air fryer shelf: Rs. 2,615.

The median mixer grinder on the same aisle is Rs. 6,318. The appliance that arrived in Indian kitchens as a premium, aspirational purchase now starts at under half the price of the aisle's standard blender — and cheaper than a good many sandwich makers.

It is not only the entry price. Air fryers carry a median 44% off, against 34% on mixer grinders and 30% on juicer mixer grinders, and five of the six deepest badges on the whole aisle are air fryers. This is what a category being cleared looks like in listing data.

Hand blenders and hand mixers22Rs. 699 – Rs. 5,649Rs. 2,44919%
💡 The one exception, and it is instructive. Hand blenders and hand mixers — 22 listings, the second-cheapest category to enter at Rs. 699 — carry the shallowest discounts on the aisle at a median 19% off. Nothing is being cleared there, which is usually a sign that the shelf is selling at its own pace.

62 of 131 listings are under Rs. 3,000

Prices on this aisle run from Rs. 249, a Pigeon 400 ml hand chopper, to Rs. 25,800 at the top of the air fryer shelf. The median is Rs. 3,360.

Just under half the aisle — 62 listings — sits below Rs. 3,000, and 41 below Rs. 2,000. Under Rs. 1,000 there are 12 listings, and they are all choppers, kettles, hand blenders or a single sandwich griller. Under Rs. 3,000 the range opens up considerably: entry air fryers from three brands, mixer grinders from Rs. 1,199, pop-up toasters from Rs. 1,529.

The Rs. 3,000 line is a real boundary rather than a round number. Above it you are into Philips and Prestige mixer grinders, Ninja's blender range and the larger air fryers; below it the aisle is Lifelong, Pigeon, Wonderchef, KENT, Kenstar, Havells and Maharaja Whiteline.

No ratings on this aisle. Vijay Sales' category pages publish no rating or rating count, so there are no star figures anywhere on this page. Price, stated MRP and the badge are the whole of the published data, which is worth remembering before you read a 76% badge as evidence of anything.

Every deep badge on the aisle is one of two things

Six listings on this aisle are discounted 67% or more. Five are air fryers; the sixth is a wireless chopper.

The shape is consistent. A Lifelong 4.2 L air fryer at Rs. 2,615 against a stated MRP of Rs. 10,999 (76%). Its detachable-handle sibling at Rs. 2,949 against Rs. 12,499 (76%). KENT's Digi Plus 4 L at Rs. 2,799 against Rs. 10,000 (72%) and its Classic at Rs. 2,649 against Rs. 8,000 (67%). Morphy Richards' 5 L at Rs. 5,099 against Rs. 15,999 (68%).

We cannot tell you whether those stated MRPs were ever live shelf prices — Vijay Sales publishes the number and we are reporting it. What the pattern does establish is that the air fryer shelf is the one where the stated MRP and the checkout price have come furthest apart, and that four different brands are doing it at once.

The badge tells you the brand before it tells you the bargain

Group the same 131 listings by brand and the aisle sorts into two halves that behave very differently.

Lifelong runs a median 70% off across its five listings, KENT 54%, Kenstar 52%, Wonderchef 46%, Morphy Richards 44%, Bajaj 43%. At the other end, Ninja runs 14% across 13 listings at a median price of Rs. 10,999, Boss 21%, and Philips 24% across 20 listings — the largest brand presence on the aisle and one of the shallowest badges on it.

Neither group is doing anything improper; they are setting the stated MRP differently. But it does mean a 24% Philips badge and a 70% Lifelong badge are not comparable quantities, and the only figure that compares cleanly across the whole aisle is the rupee price. What separates a Rs. 2,615 air fryer from a Rs. 9,499 one — basket coating, fan design, warranty, how it behaves after a year — is not in the listing data, and we did not test any of these appliances.

How this page was read, and what it does not tell you

All 131 listings were read on 3 September 2026 from the server-rendered product cards on eight vijaysales.com category pages: mixer grinders, air fryers, juicer mixer grinders, kettles, sandwich toasters, hand mixers and blenders, choppers and pop-up toasters, as served to a logged-out visitor in India. Price, maximum retail price and discount are Vijay Sales' own published figures, reproduced without adjustment. Category, brand, median, count and band figures are ours, computed only from those 131 rows. Vijay Sales publishes no rating or rating count on these cards, so no rating appears on this page.

What that means for what you can conclude. Vijay Sales renders roughly the first screen of each category server-side and paginates the rest client-side, so these 131 listings are the first page of each of eight categories rather than the full catalogue — nothing here is a claim about the cheapest appliance Vijay Sales sells, and a category median computed from one page is a description of that page. Prices move without notice; bank offers, exchange values, store-only pricing and anything applied at checkout are not visible in this data and can move your final price in either direction. We cannot verify whether any stated maximum retail price was ever a live selling price and make no claim either way. Nothing here is a judgement of build quality, wattage claims, coating durability, safety, warranty terms or after-sales service: no appliance was handled, plugged in or tested, wattage and capacity figures are those stated in Vijay Sales' own listing titles rather than anything we measured, and a discount percentage is not a recommendation to buy.

What to do with this before you buy

If you have been putting off an air fryer, this is the shelf that moved. Entry price Rs. 2,615, median 44% off, and four brands clearing at once. Whether a Rs. 2,615 fryer lasts is a question the listing cannot answer, but the price barrier people remember from a few years ago is no longer there.

If you are buying a mixer grinder or a hand blender, the badge will not help you. Those two categories run 34% and 19% median discounts, and Philips, which dominates them with 20 listings, discounts at 24%. Compare wattage, jar count and price directly; there is no clearance to time.

Under Rs. 1,000 the aisle is small appliances only. Twelve listings, all choppers, kettles, hand blenders or one sandwich griller, from Rs. 249. For the bigger-ticket end of the same store, our Vijay Sales TV price list and refrigerator page cover how the same pricing habits look on large appliances.

The short version

Vijay Sales' kitchen aisle runs Rs. 249 to Rs. 25,800 across the 131 listings we read, median Rs. 3,360 at a median 37% off, with 62 under Rs. 3,000 and 12 under Rs. 1,000.

The air fryer is the category being cleared: entry price Rs. 2,615, median 44% off, and five of the aisle's six deepest badges. That entry price is under half the median mixer grinder at Rs. 6,318. Hand blenders are the opposite — cheap to enter at Rs. 699 and the shallowest badges on the aisle at 19%. By brand, Lifelong runs 70% off and KENT 54%, while Philips runs 24% across 20 listings and Ninja 14%. Compare rupee prices; the percentage is describing the brand.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the cheapest air fryer at Vijay Sales?
On the air fryer category page we read on 3 September 2026, the lowest price was Rs. 2,615 for a Lifelong 4.2 litre 1350W digital air fryer, a 76% badge against a stated MRP of Rs. 10,999. Close behind were a KENT Classic 4 litre at Rs. 2,649 (67% off Rs. 8,000), a KENT Digi Plus 4 litre at Rs. 2,799 (72% off Rs. 10,000) and a second Lifelong 4.2 litre at Rs. 2,949. The shelf runs up to Rs. 25,800 with a median of Rs. 9,499. These are the cheapest on the first page of that category, not necessarily across Vijay Sales, and prices move without notice.
How much does a mixer grinder cost at Vijay Sales?
On the mixer grinder page we read, prices ran from Rs. 1,199 (a Lifelong Power Pro 500W with three jars, 66% off a stated Rs. 3,500) to Rs. 15,299, with a median of Rs. 6,318 and a median discount of 34%. The separate juicer mixer grinder shelf ran Rs. 3,699 to Rs. 21,990 with a median of Rs. 6,099. Philips is the largest brand presence in these categories with 20 listings across the aisle, at a median 24% off and a median price of Rs. 4,545.
Which kitchen appliances are most discounted at Vijay Sales right now?
By category, choppers lead at a median 66% off (three listings), then electric kettles at 48%, sandwich makers at 45% and air fryers at 44%. Air fryers are the substantial one: 26 listings, and five of the aisle's six deepest badges. The shallowest are hand blenders and hand mixers at a median 19% off, juicer mixer grinders at 30% and pop-up toasters at 32%. Bear in mind that a discount percentage is measured from a stated maximum retail price the brand sets for itself, so it compares poorly between brands — Lifelong's median badge is 70% and Philips' is 24%.
What can I buy under Rs. 1,000 on this aisle?
Twelve of the 131 listings we read were under Rs. 1,000, and all of them were small appliances: a Pigeon 400 ml hand chopper at Rs. 249, a Lifelong wireless rechargeable chopper at Rs. 449, a Lifelong 1.5 litre 1500W electric kettle at Rs. 499, a Pigeon 1.5 litre kettle at Rs. 600, a Prestige kettle at Rs. 660, a Maharaja Whiteline 175W hand blender at Rs. 699 and a Wonderchef 750W sandwich griller at Rs. 999. Mixer grinders start at Rs. 1,199 and air fryers at Rs. 2,615, so neither fits that budget.
Does Vijay Sales show customer ratings on these listings?
Not on the category pages. The product cards Vijay Sales renders on its kitchen appliance category pages carry the product name, image, price, stated MRP and discount, but no rating and no rating count — which is why this page reports no star figures at all. Individual product pages may carry reviews where shoppers have left them, but they are not part of the category listing data we read. For this aisle, the price and the stated MRP are the only published numbers, and the stated MRP is set by the brand rather than by Vijay Sales.
