Thirty-five listings read on one morning. The best-known tiffin brand in India advertises a median 4% off; the names you have not heard of advertise up to 53% — and they charge a hundred rupees less.
A HAZEL lunch box here costs Rs. 630 and its tile claims Rs. 629 off. A Cello lunch box costs Rs. 649 and its tile claims Rs. 28. Tata CLiQ's lunch box and tiffin results on 10 October 2026: 35 rows, Rs. 589 to Rs. 6,850, median badge 26%. Milton's five listings badge 2%, 3%, 4%, 4% and 12% at a median Rs. 999; ALLO's five badge a median 36% at Rs. 899, and HAZEL, Nestasia and Goodhomes badge 41% to 53%. The brands most Indian kitchens already own advertise the least and charge slightly more.

Four checks before you add to bag. First, read the rupees claimed off, not the percentage. A HAZEL box at Rs. 630 claims Rs. 629 off and a Cello box at Rs. 649 claims Rs. 28; nineteen rupees separate what you actually pay. Second, do not read a badge as a brand signal in reverse. On this shelf the established names — Milton at a median 4%, Cello at 10%, Varmora at 10%, Lock & Lock at 14% — advertise least, and they sit in the middle of the price range, not above it. Third, do not trust a capacity you have not read on the product page. Nineteen listings print a millilitre figure and many also print a container count without saying which the millilitres describe; '3 Inner, 630 ML' is either 630 ml or 1,890 ml, and sixteen listings print no capacity at all. Fourth, accept there is no customer evidence here. Fourteen rows publish a rating count and the values are 1, 2, 3 and 7 — the best-rated item on the shelf has been rated by seven people, so a four-star average would mean nothing. This is a price page: nothing was bought, filled, sealed or carried, and no box is assessed for leaking, heat retention or dishwasher safety.

Each selling price, stated MRP, discount badge and rating count here came from the search payload tatacliq.com itself serves for 'lunch box', 'tiffin box' and 'casserole set', read on 10 October 2026, logged out, in India, with nothing purchased. 35 rows came back and 21 are seated. Every count, median and range on this page is computed on all 35 rows.
Nineteen of the 35 rows print a millilitre figure and many also print a container count — '3 Inner ... 630 ML', 'Set of 4, 320 ml'. No title states whether the capacity is per container or for the whole box, and the difference is three or four fold. Rather than divide and be confidently wrong, every card prints both published figures and says the division is unavailable. Sixteen rows print no capacity at all.
Milton's figure comes from all five of its rows, ALLO's from all five, Borosil's from all three, Bergner's from all three, and HAZEL's, Cello's, Lock & Lock's, SignoraWare's and Goodhomes' from both of each. Where a brand has two rows the card says so rather than presenting two listings as a pattern.
Fourteen of the 35 rows publish a rating count and the only values anywhere on the shelf are 1, 2, 3 and 7. Not one listing reaches double digits. No star average is shown on any card and no score of our own is substituted; where a listing has one or two ratings the spec strip says exactly that, because a single rating is not evidence.
This is a page about published prices. 'Airtight', 'leak proof', 'borosilicate', 'Tritan', 'stainless steel' and every stated capacity are the listings' own printed wording, reproduced as printed and not measured, filled, sealed or tested by us. No box on this page is assessed for leaking, heat retention, microwave or dishwasher safety, lid durability or food safety, and a lower price is a statement about money only.
Because Milton states maximum retail prices very close to its selling prices. In this read of 35 listings on 10 October 2026, Milton's five rows badge 2%, 3%, 4%, 4% and 12% — a median of 4% — at a median price of Rs. 999. The claimed savings are Rs. 16, Rs. 26, Rs. 36 and Rs. 126. Against that, ALLO's five rows badge a median 36% at Rs. 899, HAZEL's two badge 48%, Nestasia's three 41% and Goodhomes' two 53%. Setting a list price and choosing how deeply to discount are ordinary and lawful commercial decisions and nothing here alleges otherwise. The practical point is that the discount filter on this shelf sorts by brand strategy, not by price — and Milton costs about a hundred rupees more than the deep-badge group, not several hundred.
The read's floor was Rs. 589, on a Nestasia glass lunch box not seated here, and the cheapest listing with a card is a HAZEL 285 ml stainless steel box at Rs. 599, badged 46%. A Cello MF Meal Station at Rs. 649 and a Bergner set of two at Rs. 689 sit just above. The shelf's median price is Rs. 901 and the full range runs to Rs. 6,850, though the top of that range is brass vintage tiffins and a casserole rather than lunch boxes. Those figures describe these 35 listings on that date rather than Tata CLiQ's full catalogue.
The listing does not say, and that is exactly why this page publishes no price per millilitre for any item on this shelf. Nineteen of the 35 rows print a capacity and many of those also print a container count — '3 Inner ... 630 ML', 'Set of 4, 320 ml', '3 compartment, 740 ml'. If the figure is per container a three-inner box holds 1,890 ml; if it is the total it holds 630 ml. A threefold difference, unresolved by the title. Sixteen further rows print no capacity at all. If volume matters to your purchase, open the product page and read the specification table rather than the search tile — something this page has not done for any of these 35 rows and does not claim to have done.
There are barely any ratings to be reliable or otherwise. Fourteen of the 35 rows publish a rating count, and the only values anywhere on the shelf are 1, 2, 3 and 7. The best-evidenced listing in the whole read — a Borosil bundle at Rs. 1,284 — has been rated by seven people. No card on this page carries a rating pill, because a star average backed by one or two raters is noise rather than information, and no score of our own has been substituted. On this shelf the only numbers a shopper has are the price and the seller's own stated MRP.
Not on these numbers. The HAZEL box badging 50% sells at Rs. 630; the Milton badging 2% sells at Rs. 999; the Cello badging 4% sells at Rs. 649. The deep-badge and shallow-badge groups on this shelf overlap almost completely on price — the shelf median is Rs. 901 and Milton's is Rs. 999 — so the badge is describing the seller's claimed list price rather than a bargain. What this page genuinely cannot tell you is which box is better: steel gauge, lid sealing, gasket life, heat retention and whether a box survives a year in a bag are the things that separate tiffins, and none of them was tested here.
