Only a third of Sugar's catalogue is discounted, and the kits are cut least of all. One lipstick set costs Rs. 79.90 a stick; another costs Rs. 300. The badge cannot tell you which.
Sugar's own product feed on July 28, 2026 held 225 in-stock products carrying images, and only 78 of them were priced below their stated MRP — 34.7%, which means two-thirds of this catalogue is simply not on sale. That is unusual enough among Indian direct-to-consumer brands to change how you should read the page: where near-universal discounting makes a badge meaningless, a discount on a third of a catalogue still tells you something. What it tells you is where the marketing and the arithmetic part company. Across those 78 listings, single products carry the deepest cuts — foundations and concealers average 64.5%, lip creams 58%, perfume 55%, liquid lipsticks 52.5% — while the items sold as value carry the shallowest: kits average 26.2% across 23 listings, value sets 26.7% across six, and combos 15.2% across four. So we did the per-unit maths on every set here, which takes about ten seconds each and contradicts the badge in both directions. A set of ten satin matte lipsticks at Rs. 799 is Rs. 79.90 each against Rs. 174 bought singly, and that is a genuine saving. A pack of three liquid lipsticks at Rs. 899 is Rs. 300 each against Rs. 249 for a single liquid lipstick — more expensive per unit, behind a badge of 67% against the single's 50%. And running underneath all of it is what a beauty discount actually measures: the same Mettle foundation stick appears twice in this feed, Rs. 249 in shade 52 and Rs. 599 in shade 48, identical formula, identical stated MRP, because one shade is being cleared and the other is not. We covered the set side of this shelf separately in our Sugar sets piece; this page is about the other two-thirds.
Every price below was pulled from Sugar Cosmetics on July 28, 2026 and checked against the MRP on the listing. Stack them with the live codes on our Sugar Cosmetics coupons page, which the deals desk re-verifies daily.
Six picks from Rs. 75 to Rs. 799. The deepest badges in Sugar's catalogue sit on single shades being cleared, on pouches and vanity cases, and on gift sets — not on the products people repurchase.
Rs. 249 for a foundation stick at 79% off — and the same product in another shade is Rs. 599.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 249, the deepest cut in the shop, on one specific shade.
Rs. 75 for a zip pouch — the lowest price anywhere in our picks.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 75, and it is a pouch, which is exactly what it looks like.
Rs. 200 for a mini vanity case, from the same cleared-accessory shelf.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 200 for a vanity case, at the same 75% as the pouch.
Rs. 799 for ten lipsticks — Rs. 79.90 each, against Rs. 174 for a single one.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 79.90 per lipstick, less than half the price of buying one.
Rs. 249 for three lipsticks — Rs. 83 each, at the lowest total outlay here.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 83 per lipstick, on a set small enough to actually get through.
Rs. 299 for a perfume gift set, from the deepest-discounted end of the shelf.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 299 for a set of perfumes, at 70% off.
Rs. 899 and Rs. 1,599. One of these costs Rs. 300 per lipstick against Rs. 249 for the same thing bought singly; the other is the largest basket here behind the smallest badge. Kits average 26.2% off across 23 listings.
Rs. 899 for three 18-hour liquid lipsticks — Rs. 300 each, against Rs. 249 for a single.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 300 per liquid lipstick, which is more than the single-unit price.
Rs. 1,599 for a multi-product kit — 54%, the smallest badge in this chapter.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 1,599 for a full kit, at the shallowest discount among our sets.
Seven picks, and three of them at exactly Rs. 249 with an identical 58% badge — which means the choice is purely finish. Lip creams average 58% off, the deepest lip format in our reading.
Rs. 249 for a whipped matte lip cream — from the deepest-cut lip category here.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 249, from the format Sugar discounts hardest.
Rs. 249 for a high-shine gloss — the same money as the matte formats above it.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 249, and the only high-shine finish among our lip picks.
Rs. 249 for a lip crayon — the same price again, in the most forgiving format.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 249 for the format that needs no mirror.
Rs. 174 for a satin matte bullet — the reference price the multipacks are judged against.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 174 single, which is the number that made the set-of-ten worth it.
Rs. 115 for a matte lip liner — the lowest price of any cosmetic in our picks.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 115, and it makes everything above it last longer.
Rs. 249 for a liquid matte — the price that undercuts the three-pack above.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 249, which is Rs. 51 less per unit than the set of three.
Rs. 249 for a colour-changing lip oil — a pH-reactive formula that reads differently on everyone.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 249 for the one product here whose colour you cannot see in advance.
Two picks at Rs. 424 and Rs. 599. The foundation here is the identical stick that opened the page at Rs. 249 — a Rs. 350 gap explained entirely by which shade the catalogue is clearing.
Rs. 424 for a waterproof concealer — the most expensive single product in our picks.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 424, and waterproof is the specification that matters in July.
Rs. 599 for the shade the catalogue is not clearing — against Rs. 249 for the one it is.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 599 for the identical formula that opened this page at Rs. 249.
Four picks from Rs. 149 to Rs. 212, closing on the smallest discount in the article. Two-thirds of this catalogue carries no discount at all, and this is the edge of the third that does.
Rs. 199 for a caffeine eye cream — half price, in a category Sugar barely discounts.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 199, from the skincare end of a makeup catalogue.
Rs. 199 for a vitamin C serum — the cheapest active-ingredient product in our picks.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 199 for a vitamin C serum, at 50% off.
Rs. 212 for an SPF 30 sunscreen — the only product here that does something medical.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 212, and SPF 30 is the floor worth using rather than the number to aim for.
Rs. 149 for a 16-hour eau de parfum — 40%, the shallowest discount in our picks.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 149, at the smallest badge here, closing the argument.
Four rules follow from a catalogue built this way. First: divide before you buy. Every set on this site has a per-unit price and a single-unit equivalent sitting a few clicks away, and the comparison takes ten seconds — it endorsed the set of ten and it demolished the pack of three on this very page. Second: check whether a discounted shade is your shade before you get excited about a badge, because the deep cuts in colour cosmetics attach to specific shades being run down rather than to formulas. A Rs. 249 foundation you cannot wear is not a bargain, and the same stick in a shade that suits you may be Rs. 599. Third: the highest-leverage cheap thing here is a Rs. 115 lip liner, which makes whatever you already own last longer — that kind of purchase never carries an impressive percentage and is frequently the best use of the money. Fourth: because only a third of this catalogue is ever discounted, the site-wide events and first-order concessions matter more here than on shelves that are permanently marked down. Our Sugar coupon page tracks those, and for the same reading applied to a much larger beauty shelf, our Nykaa want-versus-need piece covers 101 products across six categories.

Sugar's own product feed on July 28, 2026 carried 225 in-stock products with images, and only 78 of them — 34.7% — had a price below their stated MRP. That is the opposite of most Indian direct-to-consumer catalogues, where near-universal discounting is the norm. Two-thirds of this shop is at full price, which means a Sugar discount carries information that the same number elsewhere does not.
Across the 78 discounted listings: foundations and concealers 64.5% across four, lip creams 58% across four, perfume 55% across two, liquid lipsticks 52.5% across two, lipsticks 40.4% across eight, lip gloss 32.7% across three, concealers 33.5% across two, kajal 20% across two — and then the products marketed as value, kits at 26.2% across 23 listings, value sets at 26.7% across six, and combos at 15.2% across four. The singles are discounted roughly twice as hard as the baskets.
It contradicts the badge in both directions, which is why it is worth doing. Ten satin matte lipsticks at Rs. 799 is Rs. 79.90 each against Rs. 174 bought singly — the set wins comfortably, and its 73% badge agrees. Three liquid lipsticks at Rs. 899 is Rs. 300 each against Rs. 249 for a single liquid lipstick — the set loses, behind a 67% badge that is larger than the single's 50%. Neither of those is visible from the percentage alone, and both take ten seconds to check.
The Mettle cream-to-powder foundation appears twice in the feed: shade 52 at Rs. 249 and shade 48 at Rs. 599, identical formula, identical Rs. 1,199 stated MRP, badges of 79% and 50%. Nothing about the product differs. What differs is which shade is being run down, which is the clearest illustration we found of what a beauty discount actually measures — sell-through on a specific shade rather than the value of a formula. Categories with fewer than ten listings describe those listings rather than a stable rate, and we have said so throughout. Sugar's feed carries no customer ratings, so this page has no rating pills and no scores of our own. Prices read July 28, 2026.
Sometimes, and the badge will not tell you which. On July 28, 2026 a set of ten satin matte lipsticks was Rs. 799, which is Rs. 79.90 each against Rs. 174 for a single satin matte lipstick — a genuine saving. But a pack of three La La Love liquid lipsticks was Rs. 899, which is Rs. 300 each against Rs. 249 for a single Play liquid lipstick, so the set costs more per unit despite carrying a larger 67% badge. Divide the pack price by the pack count before you decide; it takes ten seconds.
Because the discount attaches to the shade rather than to the formula. The Mettle cream-to-powder foundation appears twice in Sugar's own feed on July 28, 2026: shade 52 Corretto at Rs. 249 and shade 48 Irish at Rs. 599, against an identical stated MRP of Rs. 1,199, producing badges of 79% and 50%. Nothing about the product differs. Our reading is that one shade is being run down and the other is not, which is how colour cosmetics inventory usually works — buy the shade that matches you, and treat a cheap match as luck.
About a third. We read 225 in-stock products with images from the brand's own feed on July 28, 2026, of which 78 were priced below their stated MRP — 34.7%. That is unusual: many Indian direct-to-consumer catalogues discount almost everything at once, which makes their badges uninformative. Here the discount is selective enough to be worth reading, and it concentrates on single products, single shades and accessories rather than on the kits and combos the marketing calls value.
On leverage rather than headline price, the Rs. 115 Velvet Matte Lip Liner. It is the cheapest cosmetic in our picks and it makes lipstick you already own last measurably longer by stopping bleed and giving colour something to grip. On outright value, the set of three satin matte lipsticks at Rs. 249 works out to Rs. 83 a stick — nearly the same per-unit price as the ten-piece set, with far less risk of ending up with shades you never wear.
It is a base rather than a full answer. SPF 30 sits at the lower end of what dermatologists commonly advise for Indian conditions, where SPF 50+ is the more usual recommendation, and a sunscreen built into a makeup range is generally a lighter, more cosmetic formulation than a dedicated one. At Rs. 212 it is a reasonable primer-and-protection layer under makeup, and we would not rely on it alone for a long day outdoors. Nothing here is medical advice.
