Sort this shelf by sub-brand instead of by discount and it stops being a hunt for a bargain. Four lines, four price tiers, and only one of them ever moves.
We read ninety in-stock lip listings from SUGAR Cosmetics' own product feed on August 1, 2026 - lipstick, liquid lipstick, lip cream, crayon, gloss, oil, balm and liner, priced between Rs. 115 and Rs. 1,992 - and then sorted them by sub-brand rather than by discount, which is the opposite of how the category page invites you to shop. The shelf became legible immediately. SUGAR runs four lip lines at four distinct tiers: SUGAR POP starting at Rs. 115, SUGAR Play sitting almost entirely between Rs. 199 and Rs. 249, the core SUGAR range from Rs. 199 up to Rs. 899, and SUGAR Mettle at Rs. 1,049 and Rs. 1,249. Every single SUGAR Play lip product in our read carried a discount between fifty and fifty-eight per cent, and not one sat at full price. Meanwhile fifty of the ninety listings - a clear majority - carried a discount of exactly zero, and almost all of those were core-range flagships or Mettle: Matte As Hell at Rs. 899, Mousse Muse Lip Cream at Rs. 599, Drop A Tint at Rs. 599, both Mettle lipsticks at full MRP. That pattern is not a sale you have arrived at the wrong moment for. It is how the brand prices, and it changes the practical advice completely. Because SUGAR sells its own goods on its own site, there is no third-party seller inventing an MRP to slice, which is exactly why the flagship formulas have no discount to give - and why waiting for Matte As Hell to drop is a way of not owning it. So the useful question on this shelf is not how deep the badge goes but which of the four lines does the job you need, and that is how we have organised the twenty-one picks below. One exception is worth reading closely before you buy anything: the Mousse Muse Lip Cream sits at Rs. 599 on its main seven-shade listing and at Rs. 249 on three separate single-shade listings for the identical cream. Our earlier reads of SUGAR's gift sets and kits and the rest of the catalogue beyond lips cover the same brand from other angles.
Every price below was pulled from SUGAR Cosmetics on August 1, 2026 and checked against the MRP on the listing. Stack them with the live codes on our SUGAR Cosmetics coupons page, which the deals desk re-verifies daily.
The cheapest way into the range. A liner at Rs. 115, a satin matte bullet at Rs. 174, and a matte lipcolour with twenty-four shades in stock - more than any other product on the shelf. This is where the discounts and the shade range overlap.
Rs. 115 against a stated Rs. 229 - the lowest price among all ninety lip listings we read.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 115 for a lip liner, and it is the cheapest way into the range by some distance.
Rs. 149 at full price - one of fifty listings on this shelf carrying exactly zero per cent off.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 149 for a tinted balm in seven shades, and the price has no theatre in it.
Rs. 174 against a stated Rs. 349 - half off, in nine shades, and the anchor of the whole entry line.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 174 for a satin matte bullet in nine shades - the best rupees-per-lipstick on the shelf outside a multipack.
Rs. 279 at full price, with twenty-four shades in stock - more than any other lip product we read.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 279 for a matte bullet, and twenty-four shades means the colour you want is probably here.
Rs. 399 against a stated Rs. 699 - five shades stacked in a single twist-up, at Rs. 80 a shade.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 399 for five shades in one barrel - the cheapest way to find out what suits you.
Every Play lip product we read carried a discount between 50% and 58%, and not one sat at full price. A whole sub-line priced permanently at half off is a decision about the line, not an event - so there is nothing to wait for, and the rupee figure is simply the price.
Rs. 199 against a stated Rs. 399 - the entry point to SUGAR's younger line, at half price.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 199 for a high-shine gloss that is not sticky - the cheapest thing in the Play range.
Rs. 249 against a stated Rs. 599 - fifty-eight per cent, the largest single-product discount here.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 249 for a twist-up matte crayon in five shades - and it is a quarter of the Matte As Hell price.
Rs. 249 against a stated Rs. 499 - a pH-reactive oil that shifts colour on contact.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 249 for a colour-changing lip oil - fun, and genuinely useful if you dislike choosing shades.
Rs. 249 against a stated Rs. 499 - the least expensive liquid lipstick among all ninety listings.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 249 for a transfer-resistant liquid matte - a fifth of what the Mettle liquid costs.
Fifty of the ninety lip listings we read carried exactly zero per cent off, and almost all of them are here. Matte As Hell at Rs. 899, Mousse Muse at Rs. 599, Drop A Tint at Rs. 599 - no sale is coming. Except that the same Mousse Muse shade sits on another listing at Rs. 249.
Rs. 199 at MRP - a core-range balm in seven shades, with no discount and no pretence of one.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 199 for a moisturising tinted balm in seven cocktail-named shades.
Rs. 539 against a stated Rs. 599 - ten per cent, and the only meaningful discount in the core range.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 539 for a shimmer gloss - the only core-range lip product here carrying a real discount.
Rs. 599 at MRP for the seven-shade listing - and the identical shade sits elsewhere at Rs. 249.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 599 for the Mousse Muse cream on its main listing, where all seven shades live.
Rs. 249 against a stated Rs. 599 - the same cream and shade the listing above sells at Rs. 599.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 249 for the Mousse Muse cream in 02 Pinkie - Rs. 350 less than the shade picker charges.
Rs. 599 at MRP - seven shades of tinted care oil, at more than twice the Play oil's price.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 599 for a tinted lip oil in seven shades - the grown-up version of the Play novelty.
Rs. 599 at MRP - a limited-edition run of the longwear bullet, in ten shades.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 599 for a creamy longwear lipstick - the middle of the core range, in a limited run.
Rs. 899 at MRP, fifteen shades - SUGAR's best-known lip product, and it does not go on sale.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 899 for the Matte As Hell crayon - the product the brand is known for, at the price it always is.
Both SUGAR Mettle lipsticks sit at MRP, Rs. 1,049 and Rs. 1,249. Then the multipacks, which are the one place the arithmetic genuinely breaks your way: Rs. 83 a lipstick for three, Rs. 80 for ten, Rs. 300 each for the long-wear liquids.
Rs. 1,049 at MRP - the cheapest way into SUGAR Mettle, and six times the entry lipstick's price.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 1,049 for a satin bullet in SUGAR's premium line - and it never discounts.
Rs. 1,249 at MRP - the most expensive single lip product on the shelf, in six shades.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 1,249 for the Mettle liquid matte - five times the cheapest liquid lipstick on the same site.
Rs. 249 against a stated Rs. 897 - three Satin Matte bullets, at Rs. 83 each.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 249 for three lipsticks - the cheapest complete purchase anywhere on this shelf.
Rs. 799 against a stated Rs. 2,990 - ten lipsticks at Rs. 80 each, the shelf's best per-unit rate.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 799 for ten Satin Matte lipsticks - Rs. 80 apiece, less than half the single-unit price.
Rs. 899 against a stated Rs. 2,699 - three 18-hour liquid lipsticks, at Rs. 300 each.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 899 for three long-wear liquid lipsticks - Rs. 300 each, against Rs. 1,249 for one Mettle.
Four rules from a ninety-listing read. First: work out which line you need before you look at a single price. SUGAR POP is the entry tier and where the shade ranges are widest - twenty-four shades of Matte Lipcolour against six for the premium Mettle liquid. SUGAR Play is the younger, cheaper line and is permanently around half off. The core SUGAR range holds the formulas the brand is known for and almost never discounts. Mettle is the premium tier and never discounts at all. Choosing the tier first makes the rest of the decision small. Second: stop waiting for sales on the core products. Matte As Hell appeared three times in our read - standard, limited edition and anniversary - at Rs. 899 every time, with zero per cent off in all three cases. If you want it, the price today is the price. Third: search the shade name before you buy from a main listing. The Mousse Muse Lip Cream is Rs. 599 on its shade-picker listing and Rs. 249 on single-shade listings for 02 Pinkie, 08 Spring Flower and 09 Girl With Peaches - the same cream, Rs. 350 apart, and nothing on the category page points you to the cheaper one. Fourth: if you are relaxed about which shades you get, the multipacks are the only place the arithmetic genuinely breaks your way - Rs. 83 a lipstick for three, Rs. 80 for ten, against Rs. 174 bought singly. If you need a specific colour, they are a trap, because you do not choose the shades. Our SUGAR Cosmetics coupon page tracks live codes, and our earlier read on the brand's sets and kits covers the multipack side in more detail.

Every price, stated MRP and discount percentage on this page came from in.sugarcosmetics.com's own product feed on August 1, 2026 - 90 in-stock lip listings covering lipstick, liquid lipstick, lip cream, crayon, gloss, oil, balm and liner, priced between Rs. 115 and Rs. 1,992. Because SUGAR is a direct-to-consumer brand selling its own goods on its own site, there is no third-party seller setting an inflated MRP, which is why so many listings carry no discount at all. The feed does not publish customer ratings or review counts, so no pick on this page shows a rating pill. That absence is the platform's; we will not manufacture a score to fill it.
Doing that made the shelf legible in a way that sorting by price does not. SUGAR runs four lip lines at four tiers: SUGAR POP from Rs. 115, SUGAR Play at Rs. 199-249, the core SUGAR range from Rs. 199 to Rs. 899, and SUGAR Mettle at Rs. 1,049-1,249. Every Play product we read was discounted 50-58%. Fifty of the ninety listings - overwhelmingly the core-range flagships and both Mettle lipsticks - carried exactly zero. The discount tracks which sub-brand a product belongs to, not how good it is or whether you have caught a sale, so the useful question is which line does your job.
It does, once, and it is worth knowing about. The Mousse Muse Lip Cream sits at Rs. 599 with no discount on its main seven-shade listing, while three single-shade listings of the same cream - 02 Pinkie, 08 Spring Flower and 09 Girl With Peaches - were live at Rs. 249, 58% off the same Rs. 599. We read that as ordinary single-shade clearance rather than anything untoward, and say so. We also checked a second apparent gap and rejected it: Nothing Else Matter at Rs. 699 against Rs. 599 is a standard run versus a limited edition, which are different products, so we have not presented it as a duplicate.
Each card states the selling price, the stated MRP, the formula and the number of shades in stock, because on a shelf where half the listings never discount, the badge carries almost no information and the shade range often matters more than the price. We have not worn, swatched or tested any product on this page - claims about finish, wear time and formula are the listings' own descriptions or general category knowledge, clearly framed as such. Prices read August 1, 2026, and can change without notice.
Not in our read. Matte As Hell Crayon Lipstick appeared three times in the 90 lip listings we pulled on August 1, 2026 - the standard listing, a Times of India edition and an anniversary edition - and all three sat at Rs. 899 with a discount of exactly zero per cent. More broadly, 50 of the 90 lip listings carried no discount at all, and almost all of those were core-range flagships or the premium Mettle line. Because SUGAR sells directly on its own site, there is no third-party seller inflating an MRP to discount from, which is the structural reason the flagship formulas have no badge to give.
Bought singly, the SUGAR POP Satin Matte Luxe Lipstick at Rs. 174, which is 50% off a stated Rs. 349 and comes in nine shades. Bought in a set, the per-unit price falls much further: the Set of 10 Satin Matte Lipstick at Rs. 799 works out to Rs. 80 a lipstick and the Set of 3 at Rs. 249 works out to Rs. 83. The catch with both sets is that you do not choose the shades, so a set is only cheaper in practice if you will actually wear what arrives. If you need a specific colour, the Rs. 174 single is the better buy.
They are four sub-brands at four price tiers. SUGAR POP is the entry line, starting at Rs. 115 for a lip liner and Rs. 174 for a bullet lipstick, and it carries the widest shade ranges - the Matte Lipcolour had 24 shades in stock. SUGAR Play is the younger line, priced at Rs. 199-249, and every Play lip product we read was 50-58% off. The core SUGAR range holds the formulas the brand is known for, from Rs. 199 to Rs. 899, and almost none of it discounts. SUGAR Mettle is the premium tier at Rs. 1,049 and Rs. 1,249, always at full MRP.
We found the Mousse Muse Lip Cream at Rs. 599 with no discount on its main listing, which offers all seven shades through a picker, and at Rs. 249 on three separate single-shade listings - 02 Pinkie, 08 Spring Flower and 09 Girl With Peaches - each 58% off the same stated Rs. 599. That is a Rs. 350 gap for the same cream in the same shade. We read it as ordinary single-shade clearance rather than anything untoward, but it does mean the listing you land on decides what you pay. Search the site for the product name plus your shade before buying from the main listing; single-shade listings also sell out without notice.
We cannot tell you that, and we would be wary of anyone who says they can from a price list. Both were live on SUGAR's site on August 1, 2026 - the Play Vibe Check at Rs. 249 and the Mettle Liquid Lipstick at Rs. 1,249 - and we have not worn either, so any verdict on pigment density, wear time or how they set would be invented. What we would say practically is that neither price is going to move, so there is no urgency, and that Rs. 249 is a sensible amount to spend finding out whether liquid mattes suit you at all before committing Rs. 1,249 to one.
