Reliance Digital publishes the full terms of its No Cost EMI programme as two separate pages on its own site. We read both on 25 October 2026, along with the six bank-offer pages that mention No Cost EMI.
The rule almost nobody knows is the first one: your cart must contain exactly one item. Both pages state that any additional product or service line automatically disqualifies the offer — so adding installation to a washing machine order can cost you the entire benefit. Nothing in the purchase flow says so.
📅 Update log:
25 Oct 2026: first published. Every quotation, date, bank name and condition on this page was transcribed from reliancedigital.in's own terms pages — /page/ncemi-on-tv-and-la-tc-2608 and /page/sda-ncemi-tc-2604 — together with the store's six bank-offer terms pages, all located via its own /sitemap/pages.sitemap.xml and read by plain fetch on 25 October 2026, logged out, from India. Nothing was purchased and no EMI was taken, so no behaviour at checkout has been tested. The interest-waiver column in the comparison table is illustrative arithmetic, not a quotation from the store.
Reliance Digital runs No Cost EMI under two separate sets of published terms, both of which it hosts on its own site. We read both on 25 October 2026, along with the six bank-offer pages that reference No Cost EMI. Every quotation below is transcribed from those documents.
The rule almost nobody knows is the first one: your cart must contain exactly one item. Both terms pages state that any additional product or service item in the cart automatically disqualifies the No Cost EMI. On a large appliance, that means adding installation can cost you the whole benefit — and nothing on the product page tells you.
There are two No Cost EMI schemes, not one
They cover different product groups, run to different end dates and name different banks. Both were live when we read them on 25 October 2026.
| Scheme covers | Cards named | Validity as stated | Terms page |
|---|
| Televisions and large appliances | Credit and debit cards from eligible banks, as listed on each product page | Valid till 30 November 2026 | reliancedigital.in/page/ncemi-on-tv-and-la-tc-2608 |
| Small domestic appliances | HDFC, SBI and ICICI — named on the page | Valid till 31 December 2026 | reliancedigital.in/page/sda-ncemi-tc-2604 |
Why two schemes matter in one basket. If you are buying a refrigerator and a mixer grinder, those sit under different No Cost EMI terms with different end dates — and because the cart must hold a single item, you cannot take No Cost EMI on both in one order anyway. Two separate orders is the only route, and each must be the sole item in its own cart.
The five rules, quoted from the store's own pages
| Rule | What the terms page actually says | What it means for you |
|---|
| Cart must hold one item only | "The product selected should be the only product in your cart to be eligible for the offer. Any additional product/service item in the cart/order will automatically disqualify for the No/Low Cost EMI and/or cashback offer." | Both pages. A service item counts — installation, extended warranty or a second accessory will do it. |
| Only select products and select banks qualify | "No Cost EMI is made available on select products and with select banks, as determined from time to time." | The eligible banks and card types are listed only on the individual Product Description page, under Finance offers. |
| Brand cashback has its own threshold | "Additional Brand Cashback visible under 'Save More with EMI / Cashback' is available only if the net product amount is within the threshold." | The threshold itself is not published on either terms page. The payment page is stated to be the place where final eligibility is confirmed. |
| Your bank may still charge you | "Some banks may charge additional fees for EMI conversion, please check with issuing bank." | This is the cost in "No Cost". It is levied by the card issuer, not the store, and does not appear at Reliance Digital's checkout. |
| No Cost EMI blocks the instant bank discount | "Offer is NOT applicable on Brand subvented transactions (No Cost EMI transactions)." | Appears on every instant-discount terms page the store publishes — SBI festive, multibank, Axis, Kotak and the live appliance offer. |
Check the Finance Offers panel on the product page, not the banner. Both terms pages say the same thing: eligible banks and card types "will have details ... mentioned on the Product Description pages under the Finance offers section". No offer page, and no category banner, can tell you whether the item in front of you qualifies or which of your cards will work on it.
No Cost EMI or the instant discount - you have to choose
This is the most consequential line in the whole set, and it appears on every instant-discount terms page Reliance Digital publishes: "Offer is NOT applicable on Brand subvented transactions (No Cost EMI transactions)". Brand subvention is the mechanism that makes No Cost EMI free — the brand absorbs the interest the bank would otherwise charge. Take it, and you have taken a subvented transaction, and the bank's instant discount no longer applies.
The awkward part is presentational. A Reliance Digital product page shows the instant bank discount and the No Cost EMI option in the same Finance Offers panel, with no indication that selecting one removes the other. The exclusion lives only in the terms pages.
Roughly how the two compare
The live instant discount on appliances is 10% capped at Rs. 10,000 with a minimum cart of Rs. 10,000, running 7 October to 30 November 2026. No Cost EMI instead waives the interest, which on a typical 6-month retail EMI is in the region of 10% of the principal annualised — so very roughly similar in cash terms at the bottom of the range, and better above the discount's cap. The figures below are illustrative arithmetic to show where the crossover sits, not quotes from the store.
| Purchase value | Instant discount (10%, capped at Rs. 10,000) | Interest waived at an illustrative 10% | Which looks better |
|---|
| Rs. 15,000 | Rs. 1,500 | Rs. 1,500 | Instant discount |
| Rs. 30,000 | Rs. 3,000 | Rs. 3,000 | Instant discount |
| Rs. 50,000 | Rs. 5,000 | Rs. 5,000 | Line ball — check the fee |
| Rs. 1,00,000 | Rs. 10,000 (capped) | Rs. 10,000 | Instant discount, just |
| Rs. 1,50,000 | Rs. 10,000 (capped) | Rs. 15,000 | No Cost EMI |
| Rs. 2,00,000 | Rs. 10,000 (capped) | Rs. 20,000 | No Cost EMI |
Treat that table as a method, not a quote. The instant-discount column is the store's own published offer. The interest column is illustrative arithmetic at a flat 10% — your actual rate, tenure and any conversion fee come from your card issuer, and Reliance Digital's own terms warn that "some banks may charge additional fees for EMI conversion". Get the real numbers from your bank before deciding. Nothing here is financial advice.
The exact wording of the single-product rule, from both pages
Identical on ncemi-on-tv-and-la-tc-2608 and sda-ncemi-tc-2604:
"The product selected should be the only product in your cart to be eligible for the offer. Any additional product/service item in the cart/order will automatically disqualify for the No/Low Cost EMI and/or cashback offer."
Three things are worth drawing out of that sentence. First, "product/service" — a service line such as installation or an extended warranty counts as an additional item. Second, "cart/order" — it applies to the order as placed, not only to what is on screen when you select the payment option. Third, "and/or cashback" — the same disqualification reaches the brand cashback, not just the interest waiver.
Neither page states whether the disqualification is applied automatically at checkout or discovered afterwards, and we have not tested it, having bought nothing.
What to do before you pay
- Empty the cart down to the one item. Buy accessories, installation and warranties in a separate order after the main purchase has gone through.
- Read the Finance Offers panel on that specific product page for which banks and card types qualify. No category page or offer page carries it.
- Ring your card issuer about the EMI conversion fee before choosing No Cost EMI over the instant discount. The store's own terms flag that fee and place it outside its control.
- Decide between the two routes deliberately. Below about Rs. 1,00,000 the 10% instant discount is generally the simpler win; above its Rs. 10,000 cap, waived interest on a larger principal starts to pull ahead.
- Check the end date for your product group — 30 November 2026 for TVs and large appliances, 31 December 2026 for small domestic appliances, as stated on 25 October 2026.
The honest summary
Reliance Digital's No Cost EMI terms are clearly written and freely published — they are simply not where a shopper is looking. The single-product cart rule, the bank list living only on the product page, the conversion fee your own bank may add, and the fact that No Cost EMI forfeits the instant bank discount are all stated plainly on two pages that nothing in the purchase flow links to.
The practical takeaway is one sentence: if you want No Cost EMI, the product must be the only thing in the cart, and you are giving up the instant bank discount to get it. Everything else is detail.
Frequently Asked Questions
What disqualifies you from No Cost EMI at Reliance Digital?
Having more than one item in your cart. Both of Reliance Digital's No Cost EMI terms pages, read on 25 October 2026, carry the same sentence: "The product selected should be the only product in your cart to be eligible for the offer. Any additional product/service item in the cart/order will automatically disqualify for the No/Low Cost EMI and/or cashback offer." Note the word service — adding installation, an extended warranty or a second accessory is enough to remove the benefit, and the same disqualification reaches the brand cashback, not just the interest waiver. Beyond that, No Cost EMI is only "made available on select products and with select banks", and the eligible banks and card types for any given item appear only on that product's own description page, under Finance offers. The practical advice is to strip the cart back to the single item and buy accessories in a separate order.
Is Reliance Digital's No Cost EMI really free?
The interest is waived by the brand, but your own bank may still charge you, and Reliance Digital says so. Both terms pages state: "Some banks may charge additional fees for EMI conversion, please check with issuing bank." That fee is levied by your card issuer, is outside the store's control, and does not appear at Reliance Digital's checkout — so the only way to know it is to ask your bank before you convert. The mechanism itself is genuine: No Cost EMI works by brand subvention, meaning the brand absorbs the interest the bank would otherwise charge you. That is also precisely why it cannot be combined with the store's instant bank discount, which excludes "brand subvented transactions" by name. Nothing here is financial advice — confirm the rate, tenure and any conversion or processing fee with your own issuer before borrowing.
Can you get both No Cost EMI and the bank discount at Reliance Digital?
No. On every instant-discount offer the store publishes, No Cost EMI transactions are excluded by name. The line "Offer is NOT applicable on Brand subvented transactions (No Cost EMI transactions)" appears in identical wording on the SBI festive, multibank, Axis, Kotak and live appliance instant-discount terms pages. So this is a choice, not a stack. What makes it easy to get wrong is that a Reliance Digital product page shows both in the same Finance Offers panel without indicating that selecting one removes the other — the exclusion lives only in the terms documents. As a rough guide: the live instant discount on appliances is 10% capped at Rs. 10,000 (minimum cart Rs. 10,000, 7 October to 30 November 2026), so below roughly Rs. 1,00,000 the discount is usually the simpler win, while above that cap the waived interest on a larger principal starts to pull ahead. The one exception we found is the HDFC deal on the iPhone 17 Pro, 17 Pro Max and iPhone Air running to 30 October 2026, which explicitly grants a flat discount plus a 6-month No Cost EMI as a single combined benefit.
Until when is No Cost EMI available at Reliance Digital?
There are two schemes with two different end dates, both read from the store's own terms pages on 25 October 2026. Televisions and large appliances: stated valid till 30 November 2026 (ncemi-on-tv-and-la-tc-2608), with eligible credit and debit cards listed per product. Small domestic appliances: stated valid till 31 December 2026 (sda-ncemi-tc-2604), which names only HDFC, SBI and ICICI. Both pages add that No Cost EMI is offered on select products and with select banks "as determined from time to time", so the scheme can narrow within those dates. If your basket spans both groups — a fridge and a mixer, say — you are under two different sets of terms, and because the cart must contain a single item you cannot take No Cost EMI on both in one order regardless. Two separate orders is the only route, each with its product as the sole item.
Why is No Cost EMI not showing on my Reliance Digital order?
On the store's own published rules there are four likely reasons, in rough order of how often they catch people out. One: there is more than one item in the cart. Any additional product or service line — installation, warranty, an accessory — "will automatically disqualify" the order. Two: the product is not on the eligible list. No Cost EMI applies to "select products" only, and the Finance offers section of that specific product page is the only place that says. Three: your bank or card type is not among the eligible ones for that product — the small-appliance scheme, for instance, names only HDFC, SBI and ICICI. Four: you have an instant bank discount applied, which excludes brand-subvented transactions, or a brand cashback whose "net product amount" threshold has been exceeded — that threshold is not published on either terms page, and the store's terms say final eligibility is confirmed at the payment page. We have bought nothing and cannot say how the disqualification is surfaced at checkout, only what the published terms state.
Prices & codes last verified: October 25, 2026
Every quotation, date, bank name, product group and condition on this page was transcribed from Reliance Digital's own terms-and-conditions pages at reliancedigital.in/page/, located through the store's own sitemap and read by plain fetch on 25 October 2026, logged out, from India. Nothing was purchased, no card was used and no EMI was taken, so no behaviour at checkout has been tested — in particular we cannot say whether the single-product disqualification is applied automatically on screen or discovered afterwards, only what the published terms state. Whether No Cost EMI applies to a given product, and which banks and card types qualify for it, cannot be established from any terms page: both state that the detail appears only on the individual product description page, and we have not verified eligibility for any specific item. The interest-waiver column in the comparison table is illustrative arithmetic at a flat 10% and is not a quotation from Reliance Digital, from any bank, or an estimate of any real offer; actual rates, tenures, processing charges and EMI conversion fees come from the card issuer, and the store's own terms warn that some banks levy fees it does not control. Nothing on this page is financial advice. EMI and No Cost EMI are credit products carrying costs and obligations, including on cancellation or return, and readers should read their own issuer's terms and seek independent advice before borrowing. Dates and scheme terms can be extended, withdrawn or amended by the store, the brand or the partner bank at any time without notice. Nothing here alleges that any term is improper, unlawful or deliberately concealed; the terms are freely published and we are reporting them as fact and not as allegation. Zoutons may earn a commission on purchases made through links on this page, which never affects what we report.
