Nykaa Delivery Charges 2026: Rs. 70 Below Rs. 299, COD Rules

We read Nykaa's Shipping Policy and its Terms of Use on the morning of 20 September 2026, logged out, in India. Both were live, both are linked from the site's own footer, and they do not say the same thing about cash on delivery. The Shipping Policy says Nykaa is not currently accepting cash on delivery orders below Rs. 200 or above Rs. 20,000 for new customers. Clause 9 of the Terms of Use says COD is available for almost all pin codes within India on orders above Rs. 249.

Rs. 200 and Rs. 249 are both floors for the same payment method, published on the same site on the same day. We have not placed an order to find out which one the checkout enforces, and we are not suggesting either page is wrong - large retailers update policy pages at different times and one of these is probably simply older. The practical point is narrow: if your basket is between Rs. 200 and Rs. 249 and you need to pay cash, the published rules do not tell you whether you can.

The shipping charge itself is stated consistently. Orders of Rs. 299 and above ship free; below that, Rs. 70 applies, and Prive Platinum and Gold members ship free on all orders. That Rs. 299 threshold also appears in clause 3 of the Terms, which refers to 'delivery fees for orders below Rs. 299 or dynamic surcharges' being shown at checkout.

Nykaa now runs two delivery models, and the Terms of Use name them: Standard Delivery and Nykaa Now, its expedited service, with shipping, cancellation and return rules that the Terms say vary by model.

The language around the quick service is worth reading before you rely on it. The Terms state that the delivery timeframe shown in the app or in marketing is an approximate estimate, that timelines featured in marketing materials - the example given in Nykaa's own text is '30-Minute Delivery' - are averages based on ideal conditions and are not legally binding guarantees, and that actual times are subject to rider availability, traffic, weather and store stability, for which Nykaa says it is not liable.

There is also a clock definition most people would not guess: the delivery timer commences strictly upon successful order confirmation and payment and ends at delivery. If a payment takes two minutes to go through, those two minutes are not in the thirty. None of this is unusual for quick-commerce terms, and all of it is stated plainly rather than hidden - which is the reason to read it rather than the reason to complain about it.

Clause 4 of the Terms of Use contains the sentence that matters most for anyone buying beauty products online: Nykaa states it 'operates as an intermediary facilitating transactions between independent sellers and buyers', that it does 'not take ownership of the goods', nor does it 'manufacture or inspect them', and that 'liability regarding product claims or trademark infringement remains between the buyer and the seller'.

The Shipping Policy describes something that sounds different in tone: products 'inspected thoroughly to ensure they are in a perfect condition' and passing 'the final round of quality check' before packing. We quote both because both are Nykaa's own words. They are not necessarily in conflict - a warehouse condition check before packing is a different thing from legal responsibility for what a product contains or whether it is genuine - and we allege no conflict. But if you are buying an expensive product specifically because you believe a marketplace has vetted it, clause 4 is the sentence to read first.

Two more clauses belong in the same paragraph. Nykaa does not warrant that product descriptions, colours or images are accurate and says pictures are indicative. And if a product causes side effects or does not suit you, the Terms say Nykaa is not responsible - that sits with the manufacturer. For a category built on skin, that is a meaningful allocation of risk and it is standard across Indian beauty marketplaces.

The Terms of Use run to roughly 37,000 characters across 25 clauses. Most of it is boilerplate that appears on every Indian e-commerce site. Four things are worth knowing anyway.

You have one year to bring a claim. Clause 17 states that no claim or action arising out of use of the site or the terms may be brought more than one year after the cause of action arose. Disputes go to Mumbai. Clause 21 gives the courts at Mumbai exclusive jurisdiction and sends disputes to a mutually appointed arbitrator seated in Mumbai under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act 1996.

The terms can change without telling you. The preamble reserves a unilateral right to change them at any time without notice, effective immediately on upload, and treats continued use as acceptance 'whether or not you have read them'. And a wrongly priced item can be cancelled after you order - clause 7 lets Nykaa refuse or cancel an order placed at an incorrect price due to a technical error, unless the product has already been delivered. The one piece of consumer-friendly detail buried in here: on a split shipment, the Shipping Policy says you pay the shipping or COD charge only on the first package.
