Sixty-five foundation listings read on one morning. The same 40 ml bottle sells at Rs. 234 and at Rs. 344, the MRP never moves, and the discount badge only tells you which shade you clicked.
We read sixty-five foundation listings on myntra.com on 13 September 2026, and the number that decides what you pay is not the brand or the bottle size. It is the shade. One MARS SPF50 40 ml foundation came back three times at Rs. 234, Rs. 284 and Rs. 344, all against the same Rs. 379 MRP, so the discount badge reads 38 percent, 25 percent and 9 percent for the same formula. Maybelline and Mamaearth do it too, in tighter bands. The fix takes fifteen seconds: open two or three shades before you add one to the cart.
Every price below was pulled from Myntra on September 13, 2026 and checked against the MRP on the listing. Stack them with the live codes on our Myntra coupons page, which the deals desk re-verifies daily.

Rs. 239 for a 30 g 5-in-1 skin tint — Rs. 7.97 per gram.
Why it earned its spot The lowest per-gram figure, on a listing with 516 ratings.
Rs. 660 for an 8 g stick — Rs. 82.50 per gram.
Why it earned its spot The top of the page in both price and per-gram rate.
Rs. 568 for a Super Stay Flex 30H powder foundation compact.
Why it earned its spot Seated because the listing states no weight, and that is worth saying.
Rs. 293 for a 3-in-1 matte foundation, moisturiser and SPF 30 mini.
Why it earned its spot A named brand at a low absolute price, with a real four-figure sample.
Rs. 290 for a full-cover matte concealer, 45% off a Rs. 529 MRP.
Why it earned its spot Seated so the page prices the product most foundation buyers add to the cart.
The serum crossover, the full-coverage bottle from a brand that also sits at Rs. 275, and the highest star average on the page.
Rs. 451 for 30 ml of water-resistant matte serum foundation.
Why it earned its spot Nearly five figures of ratings on a mid-priced Indian brand.
Rs. 559 for 30 ml of full-coverage vitamin-C foundation — Rs. 18.63 per ml.
Why it earned its spot Prices the top of the 30 ml band from a brand that also sits near the bottom.
Rs. 439 for 35 ml that claims to be primer, moisturiser, SPF 30 and base.
Why it earned its spot The best star average on the page, on a sample small enough to say so.
First: open more than one shade of whatever you were going to buy. On this read the spread between the cheapest and dearest shade of one MARS bottle was 47 percent, and on Maybelline 9 percent — it is a brand-by-brand decision, so the only way to know is to look. Second: divide by the millilitres in the title. The shelf runs Rs. 4.69 to Rs. 54.00 per ml and the ranking barely resembles the price ranking. Third: do not assume the bigger bottle is the cheaper millilitre — Fit Me's 18 ml beats its own 30 ml by 30 percent per ml. Fourth: treat the badge as the MRP a brand printed; the 70 percent tile on this page is a Rs. 1,299 list price on a Rs. 389 foundation with 35 ratings behind it. For the rest of the beauty aisle, our Myntra beauty read priced lipstick, kajal and skincare the same way.

This is the finding that organised the page. Where a listing page returned the same product in several shades, we kept them side by side instead of collapsing them to one card. MARS SPF50 High Coverage 40 ml came back at Rs. 234, Rs. 284 and Rs. 344 — a 47 percent spread on one formula — and because all three carry the same Rs. 379 MRP, the badge reads 38 percent, 25 percent and 9 percent. Maybelline's 30H Super Stay Lumi-Matte 35 ml came back at Rs. 453, Rs. 477 and Rs. 495. Mamaearth's Glow Serum 30 ml at Rs. 275 and Rs. 359. Nothing in the listing text separates them except the shade.
Foundation is sold in bottles from 8 ml to 55 ml, so the shelf price tells you very little on its own. Seventeen of the twenty-four listings seated here state a millilitre volume, and per millilitre they run from Rs. 4.69 (SHRYOAN's 55 ml at Rs. 258) to Rs. 54.00 (KIRO's 10 ml pigment at Rs. 540) — 11.5 times, against a median of Rs. 11.97. The arithmetic is ours; the volume is the seller's claim in the title.
Seven listings here state a weight rather than a volume — Lakme's 25 g mousse, Just Herbs' 30 g, Insight's 30 g tint, RENEE's 8 g stick. Foundation density is not published, a whipped mousse is not a liquid, and converting one into the other would invent a number. Those cards are priced per gram and are only compared with each other; the per-millilitre ranking on this page contains no gram products at all.
Just Herbs shows 70 percent off a Rs. 1,299 MRP on a foundation selling at Rs. 389, with 3.9 stars from 35 ratings behind it. The MARS shade at Rs. 344 shows 9 percent against the same Rs. 379 MRP that produces a 38 percent badge two cards earlier. A percentage on a Myntra beauty tile is a function of the list price the brand chose to print and of which shade you clicked; it is not an event you are catching. We quote MRPs because Myntra displays them and treat none of them as evidence of a saving.
Myntra pools ratings across the shades of one foundation, and on this shelf it is blatant. Every Fit Me 18 ml shade displays exactly 171,479 ratings; all three MARS shades display 38,419; all three Maybelline 30H shades display 27,255. When two tiles show the same figure to the digit they are one sample, not two, and the number belongs to the formula rather than to the shade in the photograph. Several cards below carry genuine samples in the single or double digits — six, ten, thirty-five — and we say so instead of printing a star average as though it settled anything.
Because the price is set per listing, and on Myntra each shade is its own listing. In this read on 13 September 2026, MARS SPF50 High Coverage 40 ml appeared at Rs. 234, Rs. 284 and Rs. 344 — the same formula, the same volume, the same Rs. 379 MRP, three different selling prices and therefore three different badges (38%, 25% and 9%). Maybelline's 30H 35 ml ran Rs. 453 to Rs. 495 and Mamaearth's Glow Serum Rs. 275 to Rs. 359. Not every brand does it — two Pilgrim shades were a rupee apart — so the only reliable move is to open two or three shades of the bottle you want and compare before adding to cart.
Of the sixty-five listings we read, the cheapest seated bottle was Rs. 180 — Maybelline Fit Me Matte+Poreless in the 18 ml tube, 4.4 stars from 171,479 pooled ratings. The cheapest per millilitre was Rs. 4.69, a SHRYOAN 55 ml at Rs. 258, though that listing carries only 51 ratings at 3.6 stars. On the gram side the floor was Rs. 7.97 per gram, an Insight 30 g skin tint at Rs. 239. Prices change daily and by shade, so the live listing is authoritative.
Not on this shelf. Maybelline Fit Me in the 18 ml tube works out at Rs. 10.00 per ml and the same formula in the 30 ml bottle at Rs. 12.97 — the bigger bottle is 30 percent dearer per millilitre, and the extra 12 ml effectively costs Rs. 17.42 each. Across all seventeen seated bottles that state a volume there was no clean relationship between size and unit price at all: the cheapest millilitre was a 55 ml and the dearest a 10 ml, but a 40 ml and an 18 ml sat within Rs. 4 of each other. Divide by the millilitres in the title every time.
They are real percentages of the MRP the brand printed, which is not the same as a saving. The deepest badge in this read was 70 percent off a Rs. 1,299 MRP on a foundation selling at Rs. 389 with 35 ratings behind it. The same MARS bottle showed 38 percent in one shade and 9 percent in another because the Rs. 379 MRP never moved while the selling price did. Several of the better-rated products here carry badges of 10 to 12 percent. Compare selling prices with each other and ignore the percentage.
Read the count first, and check it for repeats. Myntra pools ratings across the shades of one foundation, so the same sample appears on every shade tile — in this read every Fit Me 18 ml shade displayed exactly 171,479 ratings, all three MARS shades 38,419, all three Maybelline 30H shades 27,255 and all six Just Herbs shades 35. When two tiles show an identical figure to the digit, that is one sample, not independent confirmation, and it describes the formula rather than the shade you are looking at. Several listings here carry genuinely thin samples of six, ten or sixteen ratings, and we flag those on the cards instead of quoting their averages.
