MakeMyTrip's long-weekend code is MMTESCAPE, and the number attached to it depends on what you book. Read on 27 August 2026, it sits on four different offer cards: up to Rs. 1,000 off cabs, up to Rs. 500 on train alternate trip plans, up to Rs. 300 on buses, and up to 40 per cent on a card covering flights, stays and packages. All four expire on 5 September.

The other thing worth knowing before you compare codes: the four regional bus codes are one offer. MMTNORTH, MMTSOUTH, MMTEAST and MMTWEST all print flat 8 per cent off buses and differ only in the region your journey starts from.

📅 Update log:
27 Aug 2026 — first published. Every code, category tag, headline discount and expiry line on this page was read from makemytrip.com/offers/ on 27 August 2026, rendered in a headless browser because plain requests to that host fail with an HTTP/2 error. Eighteen cards carried a copyable code. Four of them are the same MMTESCAPE code on different products, with four different ceilings - Rs. 1,000 on cabs, Rs. 500 on train alternate trip plans, Rs. 300 on buses and 40 per cent on the multi-product card - and four more are the regional bus codes, which print an identical flat 8 per cent and differ only by boarding region. One card is listed but not usable: MMTBLACK's flat Rs. 150 off bus tickets carries the line "Starts on 10 Oct". No minimum booking value or payment restriction is printed on any card, and we have not inferred either. We re-read this page weekly and log every code that is added, expires early or changes its printed ceiling.

One code, four different ceilings

The long-weekend code on MakeMyTrip right now is MMTESCAPE, and it is worth being precise about what it does, because the offers page carries it on four separate cards with four different published limits. Read on 27 August 2026, the cab card says up to Rs. 1,000 off, the bus card says up to Rs. 300, the train card says up to Rs. 500 on Alternate Trip Plans, and a fifth card spanning flights, stays, packages, cabs, buses and trains says up to 40 per cent. All four expire on 5 September 2026.

So the headline number you see quoted for MMTESCAPE depends on which card someone read. If you are booking a cab, the rupee cap is the one that matters and it is the largest on the page. If you are booking a bus, the same code is capped at Rs. 300. Every figure carries an asterisk on MakeMyTrip's own card, and the card does not print the minimum booking value or the payment conditions behind it - check those at the payment page before you count on the ceiling.

💡 The cap is per product, not per code. MMTESCAPE on a cab booking is capped at Rs. 1,000; the same code on a bus booking is capped at Rs. 300. Book the cab leg and the bus leg separately if you want both ceilings.

Every code live on the offers page today

Eighteen offer cards on makemytrip.com/offers/ carried a copyable code on 27 August 2026. Four of them are the same MMTESCAPE code on different products and four more are the regional bus codes, which are also one offer - so the eighteen cards are closer to eleven distinct discounts. The table prints each card exactly as it appears, including the expiry line beneath it.

One entry is not usable today and is listed anyway: the MMTBLACK bus card reads Starts on 10 Oct, so the flat Rs. 150 off bus tickets it advertises is scheduled rather than live. RTCNEW is a welcome offer restricted to a first booking. VISASIGNATURE is a card-linked benefit rather than a discount percentage, and its card does not print a rupee figure at all.

🚚 Nine of the eighteen cards are bus offers. That is the shape of MakeMyTrip's coupon page in late August 2026: buses carry the most codes, cabs carry the biggest rupee cap, and flights are handled through airline sale cards and card-linked benefits rather than through public codes.

The four regional bus codes are the same 8 per cent

MMTNORTH, MMTSOUTH, MMTEAST and MMTWEST look like four different offers and are one. Every card prints the identical headline - Grab FLAT 8% OFF* on Buses - and the only thing that changes between them is the region named underneath: Delhi and Uttar Pradesh for MMTNORTH, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh for MMTSOUTH, Gujarat and Maharashtra for MMTWEST, Kolkata and Bihar for MMTEAST. All four expire on 30 December 2026.

The practical rule is simple: match the code to where your bus starts, not to where it is going, and do not spend time comparing the four. If your route does not begin in a listed region, the general bus codes are the fallback - MEGABUS at up to 10 per cent, or an operator-specific code if you are booking that operator: FLIX15 gives a flat 15 per cent on FlixBus, PRIMODAY a flat 10 per cent on Primo, INTRCITY up to Rs. 50 on IntrCity, and RTCNEW a flat 10 per cent on state road transport corporation buses for a first booking.

What these cards do not tell you
  • No minimum booking value is printed on any card. Every headline carries an asterisk and the terms behind it live on the booking page, not the offer card. A "flat 8 per cent" can still carry a floor and a ceiling.
  • No payment restriction is printed either. Several travel coupons on any platform apply only to specific wallets or cards; MakeMyTrip's cards do not say, and we have not assumed.
  • MMTESCAPE's four caps may not stack. Nothing on the cards says a single multi-product booking gets more than one ceiling, and the sensible reading is that one booking gets one cap.
  • "Up to" is doing work. Up to 40 per cent, up to 10 per cent and up to Rs. 1,000 are ceilings. A flat figure - FLAT 8% on the regional bus codes, FLAT 15% on FlixBus, FLAT 20% on FIRSTHOMESTAY - is the more predictable kind of offer.
  • MMTBLACK is a membership tier. Its Rs. 150 bus card is scheduled to start on 10 October 2026 by the card's own line, and membership benefits change without a public announcement.
  • Expiry dates are as printed on 27 August 2026. Offer cards get pulled early and get extended; the date on the card is a statement of intent, not a guarantee.

Which code to use, by what you are booking

The honest summary of this page is that MakeMyTrip's coupon shelf in late August 2026 is a bus shelf with a long-weekend overlay. If your trip is before 5 September, MMTESCAPE is the code to try first on every product because it carries the largest ceilings. After that date it disappears and the standing codes take over, and those are almost entirely for buses.

For stays, the pickings are thinner and more conditional: FIRSTHOMESTAY is a flat 20 per cent but only on a first villa or homestay booking and only until 4 September, and LASTMINUTE points at a rotating set of limited-time hotel and package deals rather than a fixed percentage. For flights there is no public percentage code at all on the offers page today - what exists is VISASIGNATURE, a benefit tied to a specific credit card, and a set of airline sale cards that price fares directly rather than discounting them.

The short version

Before 5 September, use MMTESCAPE and check which card's ceiling applies to your product - Rs. 1,000 on cabs, Rs. 500 on train alternate trip plans, Rs. 300 on buses, and the 40 per cent headline on the multi-product card.

After 5 September, the standing codes are a bus shelf: the four regional codes are one flat 8 per cent offer sorted by where your journey starts, and the operator codes - FLIX15 at a flat 15 per cent, PRIMODAY and RTCNEW at a flat 10 - beat it when you are booking those specific services.

Everything on the page carries an asterisk and none of the cards print a minimum booking value, so treat every ceiling as a maximum rather than an expectation, and read the terms on the payment page before you commit to a fare.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the MMTESCAPE code on MakeMyTrip and how much does it save?
MMTESCAPE is MakeMyTrip's long-weekend code, and read on 27 August 2026 it appears on four separate offer cards with four different ceilings. On cabs the card prints up to Rs. 1,000 off, which is the largest rupee cap anywhere on the offers page. On buses it prints up to Rs. 300. On train Alternate Trip Plans it prints up to Rs. 500. A fifth card covering flights, stays, packages, cabs, buses and trains together prints up to 40 per cent. All four cards carry the same expiry, 5 September 2026. So the answer to how much it saves depends entirely on what you book, and the 40 per cent figure quoted around the internet belongs to one card rather than to the code as a whole. None of the cards print a minimum booking value, so check the terms at the payment page.
What is the difference between MMTNORTH, MMTSOUTH, MMTEAST and MMTWEST?
Only the region. All four cards on makemytrip.com/offers/ print the identical headline - flat 8 per cent off on buses - and the line underneath names where the journey starts: Delhi and Uttar Pradesh for MMTNORTH, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh for MMTSOUTH, Gujarat and Maharashtra for MMTWEST, Kolkata and Bihar for MMTEAST. All four expire on 30 December 2026. There is no point comparing them: pick the one matching your boarding region and move on. If your route starts somewhere not listed, MEGABUS is the general bus code at up to 10 per cent, and operator-specific codes are usually better where they apply - FLIX15 gives a flat 15 per cent on FlixBus and PRIMODAY a flat 10 per cent on Primo buses.
Does MakeMyTrip have a coupon code for flights right now?
Not as a public percentage code, in this read. On 27 August 2026 the offers page carried no copyable flight discount code of the kind it carries for buses. What it carried instead was VISASIGNATURE, a card-linked benefit for Visa Signature credit cardholders whose card describes exclusive benefits on domestic flights without printing a rupee figure or a percentage, valid to 31 March. Flights are otherwise handled through airline sale cards - IndiGo, Etihad, AirAsia, Air Astana, EVA Air and FLY91 all had live cards that day - which price specific fares rather than applying a discount to yours. The multi-product MMTESCAPE card does include flights in its list, capped at up to 40 per cent until 5 September.
Can I use a MakeMyTrip coupon on a booking that is already discounted?
The offer cards do not say, and we are not going to guess on your behalf. Every headline on the page carries an asterisk, and the terms those asterisks point at are published at the booking and payment stage rather than on the card. In practice a travel coupon usually applies to the base fare rather than to taxes and convenience fees, and usually does not stack with a bank instant discount on the same transaction - but neither of those is stated on the cards we read, so treat both as things to verify on the payment screen. What the cards do state clearly is the ceiling, and that is the number worth planning around: a flat 8 per cent on a Rs. 1,200 bus fare is Rs. 96, whatever else applies.
Which MakeMyTrip offers are expiring first?
The soonest are the two that matter most for a long weekend. FIRSTHOMESTAY, a flat 20 per cent on a first villa or homestay booking, is printed as expiring 4 September 2026. All four MMTESCAPE cards - cabs, buses, trains and the multi-product one - expire 5 September 2026. After that, LASTMINUTE runs to 30 September, MMTSPECIAL for tours and attractions to 30 November, and the whole bus set - the four regional codes, MEGABUS, PRIMODAY, FLIX15, RTCNEW and INTRCITY - to 30 or 31 December. Going the other way, the MMTBLACK bus card is not live yet at all: its own line reads that it starts on 10 October 2026. All dates are as printed on the cards on 27 August 2026 and can change without notice.
Prices & codes last verified: 27 August 2026
Every code, category, headline discount and expiry date on this page was read on 27 August 2026 from MakeMyTrip's own offers page at makemytrip.com/offers/, rendered in a headless browser with no account logged in, because plain requests to that host fail with an HTTP/2 protocol error. Eighteen offer cards carried a copyable code and all eighteen are listed, including one - MMTBLACK's flat Rs. 150 off bus tickets - whose own card states that it starts on 10 October 2026 and which therefore cannot be used today. Discounts are quoted exactly as the cards print them, including the asterisks: MakeMyTrip attaches terms to every headline and publishes those terms at the booking and payment stage rather than on the offer card. No card we read printed a minimum booking value, a maximum discount beyond the ceiling stated, or a payment-method restriction, and we have not assumed any of the three. Where a card says "up to", that is a ceiling and not an expected saving; where it says "flat", the percentage is fixed but may still apply to the base fare only. Our observation that MMTESCAPE carries four different ceilings, and that MMTNORTH, MMTSOUTH, MMTEAST and MMTWEST print an identical flat 8 per cent, is a description of what those cards displayed on one day; we have not asked MakeMyTrip how the offers are structured and make no claim about intent. Codes are withdrawn, extended and re-priced without notice, and availability can differ by route, operator, date of travel and account history - verify the code and its terms on the payment screen before you pay. Zoutons may earn a commission if you book through links on this page; it does not change what you pay, and nothing here was reviewed or approved by MakeMyTrip.
