Flipkart Tyre Inflator Price September 2026: Rs. 213 to Rs. 6,999

A tyre inflator is one of the few things on a marketplace that advertises its own headline specification in the product title, every time. We pulled Flipkart's results for "tyre inflator" on 25 September 2026 and all 56 listings print a psi figure in their own title.

Forty-two of the 56 print the same one: 150 psi. Those 42 listings sell from Rs. 646 to Rs. 6,999. That is a spread of 10.8 times behind an identical claimed number, on the same search page, on the same day. The Rs. 646 listing and the Rs. 6,999 listing make exactly the same headline claim about what they do.

Divide price by claimed psi and the shelf turns over completely. The cheapest listing in the read, Rs. 213, claims 300 psi - Rs. 0.71 a psi. The dearest, Rs. 6,999, claims 150 psi - Rs. 46.66 a psi. That is sixty-six times the rate for half the claimed pressure. We have not verified a single psi figure on this page and we are not going to pretend we can; what we can do is print the arithmetic the titles invite.

Here is the whole inflator shelf ordered by what one claimed psi costs. The median is Rs. 7.22 a psi. Half the shelf is under that and half above, and brand recognition sorts the two halves almost perfectly. Portronics, AGARO, GoMechanic, Woscher and Tusa occupy nearly all of the dear half; the cheap half is Maakhodiyar, TEXUM, RETLATE, Windek, LIRZEG, VEKIN and TULUA.

The rating counts do not follow the rate. The Rs. 213 listing claiming 300 psi carries 3.5 from 2,330 ratings. The Rs. 6,999 listing claiming 150 psi carries none at all. The largest sample on the entire shelf belongs to a Rs. 892 TEXUM foot pump claiming 190 psi - 3.9 from 9,834 - and the second-largest to GoMechanic's Gusto T2 at Rs. 2,037, 4.3 from 6,937.

None of which settles whether a Rs. 213 pump reaches 300 psi, or whether a Rs. 6,999 one is worth its price for build, battery, duty cycle or safety cut-off - things a title does not carry and a price page cannot test. What the table does establish is that on this shelf the number in the title is not doing the work you might assume it is: it is constant across 42 listings whose prices differ tenfold.

Inside the cheap half of that table sits a block we have now seen three times on three different Flipkart shelves in one morning. Ten listings share the title "Car Tyre Inflator DC Pump 3Mtr Cable", under two brand names - VEKIN and TULUA - at Rs. 670 and Rs. 682 respectively, every one of them against a stated MRP of exactly Rs. 1,999.

What varies is a model code appended to the title: T06, T09, T22, T34, T38, T42, T48, T58, T78 - and T22 appears twice, once under each brand. All ten publish no rating. The five VEKIN listings are identical to each other in price, MRP and description; so are the five TULUA ones; and the two groups differ from each other by Rs. 12.

The consequence for a shopper is the same as on the pantyliner and music-bulb shelves we read this week: sorting by price shows you what looks like ten options and is, by its own descriptions, one. None of that is an allegation about either seller - listing variants separately is ordinary marketplace practice - but it does mean the number of results on a page is not the number of choices on it.

The same two pages of search results also returned 63 car seat covers and 75 car vacuum cleaners, and the three categories behave almost identically on the two numbers that are comparable across them.

The median discount badge is 64%, 65% and 68% respectively. The share of listings publishing no rating at all is 20 of 56, 28 of 63 and 27 of 75 - between a third and just under half. And the largest stated MRP multiple in each category lands within a hair of the same figure: 8.9x on an inflator, 8.7x on a seat cover, 8.8x on a car vacuum.

The seat cover case is the starkest: a cotton cover listed at Rs. 837 against a stated MRP of Rs. 7,299, which is an 89% badge, with no rating published. The car vacuum equivalent is Rs. 571 against Rs. 4,999, also 89%, with 3.2 from 130 ratings. We name these as arithmetic on published numbers and nothing more - a stated MRP is what the seller declares, and a badge computed from it is only as meaningful as that declaration.

Nothing on this page was bought, unboxed, plugged in, run against a tyre or measured with a gauge. No pressure figure here has been verified. Every psi number on this page is the listing's own printed claim, and every rate per psi is our own arithmetic over that claim.

That arithmetic is deliberately narrow, and it does not mean what it might look like it means. A low rate per claimed psi is not evidence that a pump is good, and a high one is not evidence that a pump is overpriced. Maximum pressure is one of the least important things about an inflator in practice - a car tyre takes about 32 psi - and the things that actually differ across this shelf are battery capacity, duty cycle, how fast it inflates, whether it shuts off at a set pressure, cable length, build materials and warranty. None of those are in the title, none are in our table, and several of them are exactly what separates a Rs. 646 pump from a Rs. 2,037 one.
