Two hundred and thirteen trimmers read on 29 September. Two of them charge the same Rs. 448 and print 72% and 55%.
A trimmer is bought on a red percentage more than almost anything else in a grooming aisle, so it is worth knowing what that percentage is made of. We read 213 Flipkart listings on 29 September 2026, priced Rs. 249 to Rs. 15,805. Sixteen of them share one model number under twelve brand names, sit within Rs. 172 of each other, and are badged from 51% to 88%. The badge is not describing the trimmer. It is describing the MRP the seller chose to print behind it.
Every price below was pulled from Flipkart on September 29, 2026 and checked against the MRP on the listing. Stack them with the live codes on our Flipkart coupons page, which the deals desk re-verifies daily.
Sixteen listings in this read carry the model number 538. They are priced within Rs. 172 of each other, they state six different MRPs between Rs. 999 and Rs. 3,999, and Flipkart badges them anywhere from 51% to 88%. Two of them charge the identical Rs. 448.

First: compare prices, never badges. On this shelf two listings at the identical Rs. 448 print 72% and 55%, and two clippers six rupees apart print 38% and 45% with the dearer one looking like the better deal. The median listing states an MRP 2.81 times its price, so a big flash is the shelf's ordinary behaviour rather than an offer. Second: search the model number in the title before you buy. Sixteen listings here carry 538 under twelve brand names within a Rs. 172 band; if one of them is out of stock or badly reviewed, the next is a search away at a similar price. Third: check whether the rating count belongs to the listing. Twenty-one rated listings in this read share a count of 3,000 or more with another listing, including 483,247 ratings across three NOVA trimmers - a pooled number describes a family, not the trimmer in the photograph. Fourth: if you want a believable list price, the brands with shops are where it is. Their 25 listings show a median badge of 38% against 69.5% for the other 188, and the most-rated trimmer in the entire read sits behind a 22% flash.

Each selling price, stated MRP, discount badge, star average and rating count on this page was read on 29 September 2026 from flipkart.com's own search results for "trimmer", "beard trimmer", "hair clipper" and "grooming kit", two pages each, server-side, logged out, in India, with listing keys deduped so no listing is counted twice. 213 distinct listings, Rs. 249 to Rs. 15,805. Nothing was bought.
The 'x times' figure on each card divides the MRP the listing itself displays by the price it itself charges. We have not verified that any trimmer here was ever sold at its stated MRP, so these are arithmetic over two published numbers rather than measured savings. The 2.81x median describes all 213 listings in the read, as do the Rs. 849 median price and the 64% median badge.
Twenty-one of the 152 rated listings display a rating count of 3,000 or more that at least one other listing also displays. Where a seated card's count is shared, we say so on that card and name the listings it is shared with, because a pooled count is evidence about a product family rather than the trimmer photographed. Where the same listing appears twice, we seat it once and say so.
Sixteen listings carry 538 in their titles under twelve brand names. We report what those titles, prices and stated MRPs say as published. We did not open, dismantle or compare any two units, and we do not assert that any two of the sixteen are the same manufactured product - only that they share a model designation, a Rs. 172 price band, and badges ranging from 51% to 88%.
This page reads prices, stated MRPs, badges, star averages and rating counts. Nothing was charged, run, cleaned or shaved with. Stated runtimes, length settings, blade materials, motor speeds and waterproofing are the listings' own printed claims, reproduced as printed and not tested or verified by us.
Because the stated MRP behind them is several times the selling price. In our 29 September 2026 read of 213 listings, the median stated MRP was 2.81 times the price and 38 listings displayed a badge of 80% or more. The clearest illustration is the sixteen listings sharing the model number 538: they sell for Rs. 423 to Rs. 595 but state MRPs of Rs. 999, Rs. 1,599, Rs. 1,899, Rs. 1,999, Rs. 2,499 and Rs. 3,999, which Flipkart renders as badges from 51% to 88%. A high stated MRP is legal and commonplace in Indian retail and we allege no wrongdoing by Flipkart or any seller; we simply have not found evidence these trimmers sell at those figures.
In this read the shelf ran Rs. 249 to Rs. 15,805, with a median of Rs. 849. Under Rs. 600 you are largely looking at the same handful of marketplace clipper designs under many brand names. Between Rs. 700 and Rs. 1,200 the brands with retail presence appear - Beardo at Rs. 703, boAt at Rs. 799, Vega at Rs. 849, Philips at Rs. 1,159, Xiaomi at Rs. 1,166 and Havells at Rs. 1,199 - and that band holds nearly all the listings with large published crowds. Above Rs. 3,100 the shelf moves into professional salon clippers.
Because Flipkart pools reviews across linked listings. In this read NOVA showed 483,247 ratings on three separate trimmers priced Rs. 628, Rs. 628 and Rs. 715, and 203,799 on three more at Rs. 534, Rs. 538 and Rs. 538. VGR showed 22,752 on three; One Plus 100,622 on two; Bombay Shaving Company 79,670 on two. Twenty-one of the 152 rated listings sit inside a shared count of 3,000 or more. When a count is shared it cannot help you choose between the listings sharing it. Separately, one boAt listing appeared twice at the identical Rs. 799 - that is a duplicate listing rather than a pool.
In this read, the Philips BT3101/15 at Rs. 1,159, with 488,640 ratings at 4.2 stars - and its badge is 22%, one of the smallest on the shelf. Behind it came three NOVA listings sharing 483,247, a Xiaomi at Rs. 1,166 with 89,556, a Philips at Rs. 1,649 with 73,720 and a Vega at Rs. 849 with 72,882. The pattern is worth noticing: every one of the largest unshared crowds sits on a listing priced above Rs. 800 and badged under 45%, while the 88% listing on this page publishes five ratings.
We cannot tell you that - nothing on this page was charged, run or shaved with, and cut quality, battery life and durability are not published on these tiles. What we can report is what the listings themselves show. The best-evidenced listing under Rs. 500 in this read was Flipkart's own SmartBuy at Rs. 473 with 13,906 ratings; the largest crowd inside the 538 family was 2,089 ratings at 3.8, on the Rs. 448 listing badged 55% rather than the one badged 72%. One of the sixteen 538 listings publishes no rating at all. Star averages in that family ran 3.6 to 4.7, mostly on very small counts.
