A hundred and twenty-five listings read on 18 October. The rating counts repeat, the stated MRPs repeat, and the badge has almost nothing to do with the price.
Two things repeat on this shelf. We read 125 Flipkart sofa cover and mattress protector listings on 18 October 2026, and found that seven listings sold under the brand name "Mattress Protector" all display exactly 105,214 ratings at seven different prices — with three more houses repeating one pool across seven, five and four tiles. The second pattern is the badge: the two recognised sleep brands here badge 22% to 49% while the other 120 listings run a median of 71.5%, and yet both sell for roughly the same money, Rs. 543-878 against a median of Rs. 497.50. Prices run Rs. 196 to Rs. 2,448; 23 listings state exactly Rs. 1,999.
Every price below was pulled from Flipkart on October 18, 2026 and checked against the MRP on the listing. Stack them with the live codes on our Flipkart coupons page, which the deals desk re-verifies daily.

Four habits survive this read. First, do not sort by discount. The badge range here is 3% to 89% while the price range is Rs. 196 to Rs. 2,448, and the two do not track each other: the 22% tile and the 89% tile are nineteen rupees apart. Second, check whether the rating count is shared. Seven listings here display the identical 105,214, seven more display 7,712, five display 11,140 and four display 914 — a big number beside a cheap tile may belong to a pool rather than to that tile. Third, check how often the stated MRP repeats. These 125 listings state only 36 distinct MRPs; Rs. 1,999 appears 23 times against prices from Rs. 348 to Rs. 877, so a badge computed from it is describing a price band. Fourth, read the seat count or the bed size. A 1-seater cover at Rs. 347 and a six-seater at Rs. 623 sit on the same shelf, and no printed percentage reflects that difference. This page read prices; it did not buy, fit or wash anything.

Each selling price, stated MRP, discount badge, star average and rating count on this page was read on 18 October 2026 from flipkart.com's own search response for 'sofa cover' and 'mattress protector', logged out, in India, with nothing purchased. 125 distinct listings came back and 25 are seated. Search results are ranked and personalised and change continuously, so a different reader, device or hour will not see the same set.
Five of the 125 listings belong to the two recognised sleep brands in this read - four from one, one from the other. Their badges are 34%, 38%, 39%, 49% and 22%. The median badge of the other 120 listings is 71.5%. Their selling prices are Rs. 543 to Rs. 878 against an others-median of Rs. 497.50. Those are the figures the page's headline claim rests on and all five of those listings are seated here so they can be checked.
Where two or more listings in this read display an identical rating count, the card says how many listings share it and at what prices: 105,214 across seven listings, 7,712 across seven, 11,140 across five, 120,993 across three, 914 across four. Where a listing's pool might be shared with tiles that did NOT come back in this read, the card says that too rather than implying the count is unique to the tile.
The full price range is Rs. 196 to Rs. 2,448 but the median is Rs. 500, so quoting the range alone would describe the two outliers rather than the shelf. Both ends are seated and labelled. The two halves are also reported separately because they differ: 63 sofa covers at a median of Rs. 701, 62 mattress protectors at a median of Rs. 473.
This is a price read. It makes NO claim about fabric, GSM, waterproofing, breathability, stretch, elastic strength, stitching, shrinkage, colour fastness, how any cover fits any particular sofa or how long anything lasts. 'Terry Cotton', 'Waterproof', 'Breathable', 'Velvet', 'Jacquard', 'Chenille' and 'Polyster' are the listings' own printed words, reproduced as printed and unverified. Stated MRPs are the sellers' own figures; this page does not assert that any of them is false or that any item has or has not sold at its stated MRP. We did not buy, fit or wash anything.
In this read of 125 listings on 18 October 2026, prices ran Rs. 196 to Rs. 2,448 with a median of Rs. 500. The two halves differ: the 63 sofa covers had a median of Rs. 701 and the 62 mattress protectors a median of Rs. 473. Seat count is the biggest driver of what you actually receive — a 1-seater cover and a 3+1+1 set sit side by side on the same shelf at similar prices — and it is printed on every tile. Prices change continuously, so check the live page.
Because the count belongs to a pool of listings rather than to the single tile you are reading. In this read, seven listings whose brand name is literally "Mattress Protector" all displayed exactly 105,214 ratings, at Rs. 343, Rs. 361, Rs. 408, Rs. 417, Rs. 430, Rs. 430 and Rs. 450. Seven more listings from another house all showed 7,712; five from another all showed 11,140; four from another all showed 914. Nothing improper is implied — retailers commonly group variants — but it does mean a large rating count beside a cheap tile may not be about that tile, and two listings with identical counts have not been separately judged.
This page cannot tell you whether anything ever sold at its stated MRP, and it does not claim otherwise. What it can report is the shape of the shelf. The 89% tile costs Rs. 868 and states Rs. 8,199 — 9.45 times its price — and publishes 6 ratings. The 22% tile costs Rs. 849 and states Rs. 1,089, 1.28 times its price, on 6,714 ratings. Nineteen rupees apart, and one of the two claims is checkable against a meaningful pool of buyers. The badge is not a measure of value here; it is a measure of how big a second number the seller printed.
Not in this read, and that is the surprise. The five listings from the two named sleep brands sold at Rs. 543, Rs. 724, Rs. 725, Rs. 849 and Rs. 878 — against a median of Rs. 497.50 across the other 120 listings. So yes, modestly dearer at the midpoint, but well inside the same band, and cheaper than plenty of unbranded tiles. What changes dramatically is the badge: 22% to 49% for them against a 71.5% median for everyone else. They state a smaller MRP, not a higher price. This is a price read and makes no claim that either brand's product is better made.
It depends entirely on the tile, and the price does not tell you. In this read the seated listings range from a 1-seater cover at Rs. 347 to a 3+1+1 five-seat set at Rs. 876 and a 6-seater at Rs. 623 — the larger set costing less than the smaller one. Check the seat configuration printed on the tile before comparing two covers on price; it is the single biggest difference in what arrives. 'Velvet', 'Jacquard', 'Chenille', 'Polycotton' and 'Stretchable' are the listings' own printed words, reproduced here as printed and not verified by us. We did not buy or fit anything.
