Flipkart's homepage carried two links next to each other on the morning of 2 October 2026: 'Upcoming Big Billion Days' and 'Early Bird Offers Live'. Both are its own words. The sale you can shop today has been running since 24 September; the one everyone is searching for opens at midnight on 8 October for Plus, VIP and Flipkart credit card holders, and on 9 October for everyone else.
Both store pages have already named prices, which is the useful part. And they name the same iPhone 17 twice - Rs. 77,999 on the Early Bird page with a Flipkart Axis Bank Credit Card, Rs. 79,999 on the Big Billion Days page with no card attached. Below: every figure Flipkart has committed to in print, which ones are claimable today, and which are announcements for a sale that has not opened.
Early Bird is live · Big Billion Days is not
BBD: 8 October (Plus, VIP, Flipkart card) · 9 October (everyone)
Early Bird deals live since 24 September 2026 — both dates are Flipkart's own, read 2 October 2026
📅 Update log:
2 October 2026 — first published. Both of Flipkart's own store pages - flipkart.com/early-bird-deals-store and flipkart.com/big-billion-days-store - were read on the morning of 2 October 2026 with scrapling, logged out, in India, with nothing purchased, along with the homepage footer. Every date, rupee figure, percentage, brand name, sponsor and bank offer on this page was taken from those pages on that date. The Early Bird page's three named theme days (25, 28 and 29 September 2026) had all passed at publication and are shown as history rather than as upcoming.
The sale running on Flipkart today is not the Big Billion Days
If you went looking for a Flipkart sale on 2 October 2026, you found one - and it is not the one most people are searching for. Flipkart's own homepage footer carries two links side by side: 'Upcoming Big Billion Days' and 'Early Bird Offers Live'. Those are Flipkart's words, in that order, read on the morning of 2 October.
The Early Bird store page dates itself: 'Early Bird deals live, starting September 24, 2026.' So the discounts on the site right now have been running for more than a week. The Big Billion Days sale itself has a separate page which still says 'Upcoming', with early access from midnight on 8 October 2026 for Flipkart Plus, VIP members and Flipkart credit card holders, and general access from 9 October 2026.
That distinction matters for one practical reason. The prices Flipkart has named for Early Bird are live and claimable today; the prices it has named for BBD are announcements for a sale that has not opened. Below we have listed both, kept apart, exactly as Flipkart publishes them.
The one-line version: Early Bird is live and has been since 24 September 2026. The Big Billion Days opens at midnight on 8 October for Plus, VIP and Flipkart credit card holders, and on 9 October for everyone else.
The prices Flipkart has named for Early Bird
Under a heading it calls 'Offer Revealed: Top Deals You Can't Miss', the Early Bird store page lists specific products at specific rupee figures. Every one of these numbers is Flipkart's own and every one carries Flipkart's own asterisk, which in its usual reading means the price applies to selected variants, selected sellers or a limited window. We have not bought any of them and we did not reach a checkout page.
The one worth reading twice is the iPhone 17. The Early Bird page states Rs. 77,999 and attaches a condition to it in the same line - 'Only with Flipkart Axis Bank Credit Card'. The Big Billion Days page, read the same morning, states the iPhone 17 'Starting from Rs. 79,999' with no card named. Two Flipkart pages, one phone, a Rs. 2,000 gap, and the gap is a payment instrument rather than a discount.
| Early Bird price named by Flipkart, 2 Oct 2026 | Flipkart's stated figure | Condition stated |
|---|
| iPhone 17 | Rs. 77,999* | Flipkart Axis Bank Credit Card only |
| Hisense 65-inch QLED TV | Rs. 39,999* | "Available at just" |
| Motobook Core i5 OLED | Rs. 63,990* | "Starting from" |
| Nova 2 Power 5G | From Rs. 15,999* | "Starting from" |
| Moto g56 Power | From Rs. 13,999* | "Starting from" |
| OPPO K12x 5G | From Rs. 12,499* | "Starting from" |
| Soundbars | From Rs. 849 | "Deals starting from" |
| Nike athletic shoes | Minimum 45% off | Category-level claim |
| Makeup and beauty | Up to 70% off | Category-level claim |
| Farshi ethnic sets | Minimum 70% off | Category-level claim |
Note the shape of that table. Six entries are a rupee figure for a named product; four are a percentage for a whole category. The rupee figures are checkable against a product page in a minute. The percentages are not - 'up to 70% off' on makeup is satisfied by a single lipstick at 70% off and tells you nothing about the rest of the aisle. When a retailer names a number and a product in the same breath, that is the part of a sale announcement worth keeping.
What Flipkart says is coming on 8 and 9 October
The Big Billion Days store page is separate, still headed 'Upcoming', and it names its own set of prices under 'Top Deals Coming Soon'. These are not live today. They are what Flipkart has committed to in print before the sale opens, which is useful mainly as a baseline to check its own claims against once it does.
The laptop list is the specific part. Flipkart names four Samsung laptops at four separate figures - Book4 i3 at Rs. 47,990, Galaxy Book4 Core i5 at Rs. 54,990, Book4 i7 at Rs. 64,990 and Book5 AI at Rs. 71,990 and Rs. 77,990 - which is an unusually precise thing for a retailer to publish a week early. It also names two Hero two-wheelers, the Xtreme 125R from Rs. 84,700 and the Splendor+ from Rs. 71,048.
| BBD price Flipkart names in advance | Stated figure | Live on 2 Oct 2026? |
|---|
| iPhone 17 | From Rs. 79,999* | No - sale opens 8/9 Oct |
| Samsung Galaxy Book4 Core i5 | Rs. 54,990* | No |
| Samsung Book4 i3 | Rs. 47,990* | No |
| Samsung Book4 i7 | Rs. 64,990* | No |
| Samsung Book5 AI | Rs. 71,990* and Rs. 77,990* | No |
| Motorola Edge 70 Fusion | From Rs. 29,999* | No |
| Hero Xtreme 125R | From Rs. 84,700* | No |
| Hero Splendor+ | From Rs. 71,048* | No |
| Trolley combos | From Rs. 2,299* | No |
Two Flipkart pages, one iPhone, two prices. The Early Bird page says the iPhone 17 is Rs. 77,999 with a Flipkart Axis Bank Credit Card. The Big Billion Days page says it starts at Rs. 79,999. Both were read on 2 October 2026 and both are Flipkart's own published figures. If you are comparing, compare the conditions and not just the numbers.
Who is sponsoring it, and why that tells you where the discounts are
Flipkart states the commercial arrangement on the page itself: 'The sale is powered by Puma and co-powered by Mamaearth, featuring associate sponsors GIVA, Pilgrim, Ajmal, Aquafresh, and Nasher Miles.' That is a list of brands with money in the event, and it lines up neatly with the categories the same page then puts forward - Puma and Nike footwear, Mamaearth and Pilgrim and Ajmal in beauty and grooming, GIVA in jewellery, Nasher Miles in luggage.
This is ordinary and disclosed sale practice rather than anything hidden, but it is a reasonable guide to where the depth is. A sponsor's aisle is the one with the budget behind it. The page also flags Flipkart's own labels - Billion TVs, Kenstar and MarQ appliances - as being at 'lowest prices of the season', which is Flipkart pricing Flipkart's own brands and worth reading as such.
- Fashion - men's jeans stated at 70%+ off, women's kurta sets, dresses, sarees, footwear from Puma and Nike
- Beauty and grooming - Pilgrim, Ajmal, Mamaearth, Conscious Chemist, Glamveda
- Mobiles - Realme P4 and P4S, POCO C81 and M8X, Infinix, Lava Virat V1, Motorola G-series
- Appliances - 5-star ACs, refrigerators, washing machines, fans and geysers from Kenstar and realme TechLife
- Luggage - Nasher Miles, Safari, American Tourister, Skybags, with sets stated from Rs. 1,099
- Jewellery - GIVA and Rubans Voguish, pieces stated under Rs. 799
- 2-wheelers - booking deals on TVS, Bajaj, Hero, Ather Rizta and the Suzuki e-Access
The dated sub-events, including three that have already happened
Flipkart ran a 'Save the Date' block on the Early Bird page with three named theme days. All three are in the past as of 2 October 2026, and we are listing them as history rather than as something to plan around - a sale page that still advertises last week's theme day is the commonest way these pages go stale.
| Named Early Bird theme day | Date stated by Flipkart | Status on 2 Oct 2026 |
|---|
| The Glam Drop - makeup, fragrance, skincare | 25 September 2026 | Past |
| Sneaker Fest - footwear brands | 28 September 2026 | Past |
| Trip & Trolly Utsav - luggage and travel bags | 29 September 2026 | Past |
| Early Bird period overall | From 24 September 2026 | Live |
| BBD early access - Plus, VIP, Flipkart card | 8 October 2026, midnight | Upcoming |
| BBD general access | 9 October 2026 | Upcoming |
The recurring deal formats Flipkart names on this page
Tyohaar Drops - festive picks at Rs. 99, Rs. 199, Rs. 299 and Rs. 499, with the selection changing. Deal pe Deal - extra limited-time offers, stated as refreshed every three hours in the evening. Flat Rate Bazaar - selected products at fixed price points of Rs. 99, Rs. 199, Rs. 299, Rs. 499, Rs. 699 and Rs. 899. Buy More, Save More - extra savings on certain items; Flipkart's own example is buying two T-shirts for an additional discount. Flash Sales - discounts on chosen items for one hour. Weekend Bonanza - four deal windows across one weekend. Surprise Product of the Hour - select products at a discount for a limited period. All seven descriptions are paraphrased from Flipkart's own copy on the Early Bird store page, read 2 October 2026. None of them is a price, and none of them can be verified in advance - a fixed Rs. 99 price point tells you the price but not the product.
The bank offers, and the ceiling on them
Flipkart states the payment side plainly. 'Get up to 10% immediate discount' on select Axis Bank and ICICI Bank card purchases, with no-cost EMI subject to its terms. On the BBD page the same offer is worded as 'Up to 10% discount on eligible transactions with Axis Bank and ICICI Bank cards', plus 10% off a first transaction via Supermoney and 5% off a Flipkart Digital Gift Card bought via UPI.
Two things are worth separating here. 'Up to 10%' is a ceiling, not a rate, and Flipkart's bank offers have historically carried a rupee cap per transaction that the percentage hits quickly on a large basket - the page does not state that cap, so we cannot quote one. And the credit products listed alongside are credit: the page names Flipkart EMI with credit up to Rs. 20,00,000, a personal loan up to Rs. 1,00,00,000 and Pay Later up to Rs. 1,00,000. Those are borrowing limits, not discounts.
The card-linked figures are also where the biggest single number on either page sits. The iPhone 17 at Rs. 77,999 is conditional on holding one specific co-branded credit card, which Flipkart advertises on the same page with Rs. 1,250 in welcome vouchers and zero joining fee. Whether a card is worth taking for a Rs. 2,000 gap on one phone is a decision about credit, and this page is not advice on it.
What we would actually do with this
Treat today and 8 October as two different sales. Early Bird has been live since 24 September and the ten figures Flipkart has named for it are claimable now. The nine figures it has named for the Big Billion Days are not - they are a published baseline for a sale that opens at midnight on 8 October for Plus, VIP and Flipkart credit card holders, and on 9 October for everyone else.
Write down the named prices before the sale opens. That is the whole value of a retailer publishing figures a week early: on 9 October you can check the Samsung Book4 i3 against Rs. 47,990 and the iPhone 17 against Rs. 79,999 rather than against a discount badge. Two of our own pages exist for exactly this - a pre-sale price baseline across 381 Flipkart listings, and the dates page.
And check which number applies to you. The single sharpest thing on these two pages is one phone at two prices: Rs. 77,999 with a Flipkart Axis Bank Credit Card, Rs. 79,999 without. Every rupee figure on both pages carries Flipkart's own asterisk.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Flipkart sale live right now in October 2026?
Yes, but it is the Early Bird sale and not the Big Billion Days. Flipkart's own Early Bird store page states 'Early Bird deals live, starting September 24, 2026', and its homepage footer carried the links 'Upcoming Big Billion Days' and 'Early Bird Offers Live' side by side when we read it on 2 October 2026. The Big Billion Days sale itself opens at midnight on 8 October 2026 for Flipkart Plus members, VIP members and Flipkart credit card holders, and on 9 October 2026 for the general public, both dates stated on Flipkart's BBD store page. So discounts are running today, under a different name.
What prices has Flipkart actually named for the Early Bird sale?
Ten, on its own store page, each with Flipkart's own asterisk: iPhone 17 at Rs. 77,999 (stated as Flipkart Axis Bank Credit Card only), a Hisense 65-inch QLED at Rs. 39,999, a Motobook Core i5 OLED from Rs. 63,990, Nova 2 Power 5G from Rs. 15,999, Moto g56 Power from Rs. 13,999, OPPO K12x 5G from Rs. 12,499 and soundbars from Rs. 849, plus three category claims - minimum 45% off Nike athletic shoes, up to 70% off makeup and minimum 70% off Farshi ethnic sets. We read these on 2 October 2026 and did not buy, price at checkout or verify any of them on a product page; they are the figures Flipkart advertises.
Why is the iPhone 17 a different price on two Flipkart pages?
Because one price has a card attached to it. Flipkart's Early Bird page states the iPhone 17 at Rs. 77,999 and adds 'Only with Flipkart Axis Bank Credit Card' in the same line. Its Big Billion Days page states the iPhone 17 'Starting from Rs. 79,999' with no card named. Both were read on the morning of 2 October 2026 and both are Flipkart's own published figures, each asterisked by Flipkart. The Rs. 2,000 difference is a payment condition rather than a deeper discount, and nothing improper is alleged - card-linked pricing is normal, disclosed practice. Check which of the two numbers you actually qualify for before comparing it with anything else.
Do I need Flipkart Plus to shop the Big Billion Days on 8 October?
To shop on 8 October, yes - or an equivalent. Flipkart states early access from midnight on 8 October 2026 for Flipkart Plus members, VIP members and Flipkart credit card holders, with general public access starting 9 October 2026. That is one full day of access ahead of everyone else, which matters mainly for stock-limited items rather than for prices, since Flipkart has published the same figures for both windows. Plus membership is earned with SuperCoins rather than bought outright; we have a separate page on how the SuperCoins, Plus and Black tiers work.
Are the Flipkart bank offers really 10% off?
'Up to 10%' is the ceiling Flipkart states, not a flat rate. Its own wording is 'Get up to 10% immediate discount' on select Axis Bank and ICICI Bank card purchases, with no-cost EMI subject to terms, plus 10% off a first Supermoney transaction and 5% off a Flipkart Digital Gift Card bought via UPI. Flipkart's bank offers have historically carried a per-transaction rupee cap, which these pages do not state, so we cannot quote one - read the offer terms at checkout. Separately, the credit limits listed on the same pages (Flipkart EMI up to Rs. 20,00,000, a personal loan up to Rs. 1,00,00,000, Pay Later up to Rs. 1,00,000) are borrowing facilities and not discounts.

Zoutons may earn a commission when you buy through links on this page. Every date, rupee figure, percentage, product name, brand, sponsor and bank offer on this page was read on the morning of 2 October 2026 from Flipkart's own store pages at flipkart.com/early-bird-deals-store and flipkart.com/big-billion-days-store and from the flipkart.com homepage footer, logged out, in India, with nothing purchased. We did not add any item to a basket, reach a checkout page, apply any coupon or bank offer, or hold or apply for any card or credit product named here, so no figure on this page is a price we observed at checkout or paid - each is a price Flipkart advertises, and every rupee figure marked with an asterisk carries Flipkart's own asterisk, which in its usual reading limits the price to selected variants, selected sellers, selected windows or stated card conditions. Sale prices, sale dates, early-access rules, sponsor lists, deal formats and bank offers are set by Flipkart Internet Private Limited and by the respective brands, banks and sellers, can be changed or withdrawn by them without notice, and may differ by city, by seller, by variant, by payment method and by account; the price and terms shown at your checkout prevail over anything here. The observation that the iPhone 17 appears at Rs. 77,999 on one Flipkart page and from Rs. 79,999 on another is a description of two figures Flipkart published on the same morning, with the card condition reproduced as Flipkart states it, and is not an allegation of mispricing, misleading advertising, a breach of the Consumer Protection Act or its e-commerce rules, the Legal Metrology Act, or any other law, rule, code or platform policy by Flipkart, by Apple, by Axis Bank, by ICICI Bank, by Supermoney, or by Puma, Mamaearth, GIVA, Pilgrim, Ajmal, Aquafresh, Nasher Miles, Nike, Hisense, Motorola, OPPO, Samsung, Realme, POCO, Infinix, Lava, Hero, TVS, Bajaj, Ather, Suzuki, Kenstar, MarQ, Billion, Safari, American Tourister, Skybags, Rubans Voguish, Conscious Chemist, Glamveda or any other brand, bank or seller named or unnamed, and no wrongdoing is alleged or implied; card-linked and offer-linked pricing is ordinary, disclosed retail practice. Category-level claims such as 'up to 70% off' and 'minimum 45% off' are Flipkart's own and describe a ceiling or a floor across an unstated number of listings rather than any individual product, and we have not verified the number of products at any stated percentage. Flipkart EMI, Flipkart Pay Later, the personal loan facility and the Flipkart Axis Bank Credit Card referred to on this page are credit products offered by Flipkart's financing partners and the limits quoted are borrowing limits, not discounts; nothing on this page is financial advice, credit advice, or a recommendation to apply for, take or use any card, loan, EMI facility or buy-now-pay-later product, and eligibility, interest, fees and caps are set entirely by the issuer. The three theme days dated 25, 28 and 29 September 2026 had already passed when this page was published and are reproduced as history. We have not handled, bought, unboxed or tested any product named on this page, and nothing here is a statement about any product's quality, specification, performance or fitness for any purpose. Product photographs in the banner are listing images previously published by retailers for products in the categories this page covers and are illustrative only; they are not the specific variants priced by Flipkart and may be styled or retouched.
