What we skipped, and why: the five queries returned 210 distinct listings, and only 48 are dry dog bags with a pack weight printed in the title - those 48 are the only listings any number on this page is computed from. In our 27 September 2026 read, the cheapest rate among 48 dry dog bags was Rs. 95 a kilo - a 10 kg bag at Rs. 949, carrying 317 ratings. Close behind were an 11 kg bag at Rs. 116 a kilo with 11,567 ratings and a 10 kg bag at Rs. 117 a kilo with 10,161. The median rate across all 48 was Rs. 213 a kilo. Cheapest by rate and best-reviewed are not the same listing here, and we have not tested or compared the food itself.

Is the 20 kg bag of Pedigree cheaper per kg than the small one?

Yes, substantially, on the recipe where we could check all four sizes at once. Pedigree Meat & Rice cost Rs. 172 a kilo in the 20 kg bag (Rs. 3,432) and Rs. 255 a kilo in the 1.2 kg bag (Rs. 306) - 48% more per kilo for the small pack. The 10 kg sat at Rs. 208 and the 3 kg at Rs. 234. On the Chicken & Vegetable recipe the ladder flattened: the 5.5 kg and the 10 kg were both Rs. 210 a kilo, so the saving is not automatic at every step.
