Flipkart prints a discount percentage on every diya tile. It does not print the price per diya — which is the only number that changes when you buy a bigger box.
One brand on this shelf sells the same clay diya in three box sizes. Fifty-one for Rs. 133, twenty-one for Rs. 103, eleven for Rs. 90. Every one of the three is badged exactly 55% off. Divide by what is in the box and you pay Rs. 2.61, Rs. 4.90 or Rs. 8.18 a diya. The percentage never moves; the money moves by more than three times. Flipkart's festive results on 11 October 2026: 210 rows, 79 diyas, 42 of them printing a pack count — which is what lets you check.
Every price below was pulled from Flipkart on October 11, 2026 and checked against the MRP on the listing. Stack them with the live codes on our Flipkart coupons page, which the deals desk re-verifies daily.

First, divide the price by the pack count printed in the title. It is the only figure on this shelf that tells you what a diya costs, and Flipkart does not show it. The cheapest sticker on this page, Rs. 115, is the eleventh cheapest diya on it. Second, ignore the badge when comparing pack sizes of the same product. Great Art's three packs are badged 55%, 55% and 55% at Rs. 2.61, Rs. 4.90 and Rs. 8.18 a diya; the percentage is derived from each pack's own stated MRP, so it can be constant while the rate triples. Third, check the stated MRP against the price. On this shelf the multiples run from 1.84x to 10.69x, and the two highest sit on the deepest badges; stated list prices of Rs. 1,464 and Rs. 468 appear here, which are not numbers anyone prints on a box. Fourth, read the rating count, not just the star. Ten of the twenty-four listings seated here publish no rating at all, and of those that do, the pools run from 4 people to 8,270. A 4.4 from five is not a verdict. This is a price page: nothing was bought, lit, filled or burned, and no diya here is assessed for burn time, brightness or finish.

Each selling price, stated MRP, discount badge, star average and rating count here came from the payload flipkart.com itself serves for 'puja thali', 'diya' and 'pooja samagri', read on 11 October 2026, logged out, in India, with nothing purchased. 210 rows came back; 79 of them are diyas, deepaks or akhand jyotis; 24 are seated. Every count, median and range on this page is computed over the full read, not over the 24.
A per-diya figure appears on a card only where the listing's own title states 'Pack of N' or 'Set of N'. 42 of the 79 diya rows do; the other 37 are not priced per piece anywhere on this page. The figure is the selling price divided by that stated count and nothing more — we did not count, weigh or open anything, and if a listing's stated pack count is wrong, the per-diya figure derived from it is wrong with it.
The Great Art ladder in Chapter One is three rows from the same read with the same brand and the same product name. The Spstar comparison is three rows from the same brand in the same read. No price here is compared with any other retailer, any other date or any price we did not read ourselves on 11 October 2026.
Ten of the twenty-four seated listings publish no star average and no rating count at all, and those cards carry no rating pill — we do not substitute an editorial score. Where a pill appears, the count appears beside it, because 4.4 from 5 people and 4.1 from 8,270 are not the same claim and both are on this page.
This is a page about published prices, published pack counts and published ratings. 'Water sensor', 'reusable', '15 hours', 'borosilicate', 'bone china' and every material word reproduced here is the listing's own text. No diya on this page was tested for burn time, brightness, water resistance, finish or safety, and no product is recommended over another on any ground except the arithmetic shown.
On this read, the lowest price per diya is Rs. 2.61 — Great Art's terracotta Traditional Mitti Diya Set, 51 pieces for Rs. 133. The lowest sticker price is a different listing entirely: a LeafBlu 3D pack of 12 at Rs. 115, which works out at Rs. 9.58 a diya, nearly four times the rate. That gap between 'cheapest to buy' and 'cheapest per diya' is the whole reason to divide by the pack count before you add to cart. Read on 11 October 2026; prices change without notice.
Because the percentage is calculated from the stated MRP, and on this shelf the stated MRPs run from 1.84 to 10.69 times the selling price. The clearest demonstration is Great Art: three pack sizes of the identical clay diya, all three badged exactly 55%, at Rs. 2.61, Rs. 4.90 and Rs. 8.18 a diya. The badge does not move at all while the thing you pay per diya moves by 3.13x. Separately, eleven of the 79 diya rows in this read state the same Rs. 999 list price on listings selling from Rs. 115 to Rs. 212. A badge is a fact about the MRP beside it, not about what you pay.
Not per diya, on this read. The plastic water-sensor LED packs seated here all fall between Rs. 7.33 and Rs. 14.83 a diya; the terracotta packs run from Rs. 2.61 to Rs. 8.18. The cheapest LED pack is still dearer per piece than two of the three clay packs. They are, of course, different things — an LED diya is reusable and a clay one is not, which is the trade the price reflects. This page compares money only. We did not light, float or test anything.
No, and this read has a clean counter-example. Spstar appears three times: 30 pieces at Rs. 8.73 each, 18 pieces at Rs. 9.22 each, and 24 pieces at Rs. 13.83 each. The 24-pack is larger than the 18-pack and costs 50% more per diya, and it carries the same 78% badge as the 18-pack. Great Art's ladder does fall the way you would expect — 51, 21 and 11 pieces at Rs. 2.61, Rs. 4.90 and Rs. 8.18 — but Spstar's does not. The only way to know is to divide.
That depends on the individual listing, and festive decor is frequently sold on replacement-only or no-return terms. We read Flipkart's general returns policy in full the same week — the full read is here — and the policy itself states repeatedly that the returns terms printed on the individual product page prevail over the general ones. So check the returns line on the product page before you buy, particularly on the clay packs, where breakage in transit is the obvious risk. Nothing on this page was ordered, so we have not tested any return.
