A hundred and sixty-two listings read on day two of Big Billion Days. The brands with fifty thousand reviews are badged in the twenties; the ones badged ninety per cent cost about thirty rupees less.
Flipkart's air freshener shelf returned 162 unique listings priced Rs. 64 to Rs. 1,566, median Rs. 234, with badges running from 0% to 91%. Split them by whether you have heard of the brand and the shelf sorts itself. The 69 listings from Godrej Aer, Odonil, Airwick, Ambipur and Involve badge a median 30% at a median Rs. 249. The other 93 badge a median 54% at Rs. 215. Twenty-four points of badge, thirty-four rupees of money — and six times the reviews on the shallow-badged side.
Every price below was pulled from Flipkart on October 9, 2026 and checked against the MRP on the listing. Stack them with the live codes on our Flipkart coupons page, which the deals desk re-verifies daily.

Four checks. First, read the cash figure and ignore the badge. On these 162 listings a 24-point difference in median badge corresponds to a Rs. 34 difference in median price, so sorting by discount rearranges the shelf without changing what you pay by much. Second, check the pack count before dividing. The deepest badges here sit on multipacks of three, four and six, whose stated MRPs are naturally larger than a single's — that is arithmetic, not a bargain, and the counts come from listing titles we did not verify. Third, look at where the review pool sits, and remember what it measures. The largest counts here, up to 49,736, belong to the familiar brands, but a big count measures how much a thing sells rather than how well it works; one 12,655-rating listing on this page averages 3.9 stars. Fourth, price the refills, not just the unit. Two seated listings are automatic dispensers that need cartridges, and this page prices the unit only. Flipkart publishes no end date for Big Billion Days and its own copy concedes that prices move during the sale, so the figure on screen when you buy is the only one that counts. We did not buy, open, install or smell anything here, and nothing on this page assesses how any fragrance performs or how long it lasts.

Each selling price, stated MRP, discount badge, star average and rating count on this page came from what flipkart.com's own search returned for 'air freshener', 'car air freshener' and 'room freshener' on 9 October 2026, logged out, in India, with nothing purchased. 194 rows were returned, 162 unique after removing listings that came back under more than one key, and 20 are seated.
The 162 unique listings were divided into the five household names present on the shelf - Godrej Aer, Odonil, Airwick, Ambipur and Involve, 69 listings - and everything else, 93 listings. Household names: median badge 30%, median price Rs. 249, median 1,421 ratings. Everything else: median badge 54%, median price Rs. 215, median 234 ratings. Those six numbers are the page.
The obvious story - deep badges belong to listings with no reviews - does not hold here and we are not going to print it. The 25 listings badged 70% or deeper carry a median 525 ratings; the 59 badged 30% or shallower carry a median 484. The 18 listings with no rating at all do skew deep, at a median badge of 53%, and that is the narrower claim this page makes instead.
Flipkart's search returns the same listing under several keys, so 194 raw rows contain 162 distinct products. Every median, range and count on this page is computed on the 162, not the 194, because counting a listing twice would weight whichever products the search happens to repeat.
We did not buy, open, install or smell any product on this page. Claims about how long a block lasts, how far a spray reaches or how a scent develops are the listings' own wording, reproduced as printed and not tested. This is a price page about what two numbers on a tile mean.
In this read of 162 unique listings on 9 October 2026, air fresheners sold between Rs. 64 and Rs. 1,566, with a median of Rs. 234. Hanging car diffusers start under Rs. 100, block packs and room sprays cluster between Rs. 150 and Rs. 400, and automatic dispensers sit at the top of that band before refills. Multipack listings bring the per-piece figure lower, to around Rs. 40 on one six-pack seated here, though those pack counts are the listings' own and we did not verify them. The figures describe these searches on that date rather than Flipkart's full catalogue.
Because they print bigger stated MRPs, and the badge is arithmetic over that number. Across the 162 listings, the 69 from Godrej Aer, Odonil, Airwick, Ambipur and Involve badge a median 30%; the other 93 badge a median 54%. The deepest badge in the read states an MRP 10.7 times its selling price. What that difference is worth in cash is small: the household names sell at a median Rs. 249 and the rest at Rs. 215, a gap of Rs. 34. Setting a maximum retail price and choosing how deeply to discount it are ordinary and lawful commercial decisions, and no wrongdoing is alleged of any brand here.
We checked this and it is not true on this shelf, so this page does not say it. The 25 listings badged 70% or deeper carry a median 525 ratings; the 59 badged 30% or shallower carry a median 484. Essentially the same. One 59%-badged spray here has 11,228 ratings and an 84%-badged combo has 7,472. What is true is narrower: the 18 listings that publish no rating at all have a median badge of 53%, against 34.5% for the shelf, and the 16 listings with 10,000 ratings or more have a median badge of 30.5% with none above 67%.
Marginally dearer, and far less marginally than the badges suggest. The household-name listings in this read have a median price of Rs. 249 against Rs. 215 for everything else. Individual comparisons swing both ways: a Godrej Aer hanging diffuser here is Rs. 90 while an OLFENZA one is Rs. 80, ten rupees apart with badges of 24% and 80%. Whether the extra thirty-odd rupees buys a better product is not something this page can answer — we did not open, install or smell anything, and no product here is tested or compared for performance.
This read was taken on 9 October 2026, the day general access to Big Billion Days opened, so every figure here is a sale-period price and we have no matching pre-sale read of this shelf to set against it. Two things are worth knowing. Flipkart publishes no end date for the event and its own FAQ declines to give one, and its own deal copy refers to resetting items to "Day 0 prices", which is the retailer conceding that prices move during the sale. The practical consequence is that the price on screen when you check out is the only one that applies, whatever any page says.
