Zoutons Picks — Dot & Key, September 2026

One hundred and fifty-one Dot & Key listings read on 6 September, and not one carries a discount. So the only question left is what your money actually buys - and on the sunscreen shelf, Rs. 595 answers it two ways.

Prices & codes last verified September 6, 2026

We pulled Dot & Key's own product feed on 6 September 2026 and read all 151 in-stock listings. Not one is discounted - no struck-through price, no percentage, nothing. That makes this a rare kind of price page, because there is no badge to argue with and the only thing left to compare is what a rupee buys. On the sunscreen shelf that turns out to matter enormously: two products at exactly Rs. 595 differ five and a half fold in how much you get, at the same stated SPF 50+ PA++++.

Every price below was pulled from Dot & Key on September 6, 2026 and checked against the MRP on the listing. Stack them with the live codes on our Dot & Key coupons page, which the deals desk re-verifies daily.

Four rules for buying Dot & Key

First: stop looking for a discount, because there is not one. In this read all 151 in-stock listings sold at list price, so waiting for a badge on this site is waiting for something that was not there on the day we looked. What does exist is the brand's coupon page and any bank offer at checkout. Second: divide by the pack size before every purchase, because that is the only number that varies here - it is what shows the 100 g barrier cream at Rs. 3.99 per gram beside an 80 g cream at the identical Rs. 399 sticker, and the 110 ml spray beside the 20 g stick at an identical Rs. 595. Third: buy the sunscreen stick as a top-up rather than as your sunscreen; at Rs. 29.75 per gram it is the priciest product per unit on this page, and a stick is not applied thickly enough to reach its stated SPF as a primary layer. Fourth: compare against the same categories elsewhere before committing - we priced Plum's face-care shelf the same morning, where a flat 15 per cent applies to everything and serums run about Rs. 17 per millilitre.

What we skipped — and why

What we skipped, and why: the 54 combo listings and the 28 listings typed as free items in the feed, because a bundle cannot be priced per millilitre against a single and a free item has no price to read. We left out the five lip balms and the Strobe Cream, whose feed variants are shades rather than sizes, so no per-unit figure can be calculated for them honestly. The four clay masks, two eye-care products, three hair-care and six body-care listings were left out to keep this a face-care read rather than a catalogue dump - they are priced on the same no-discount basis as everything else. Where a product sells in more than one size we seated the feed's first variant and named that size on the card; other sizes of the same product exist at different per-unit costs and we have said so in the card text where it changes the answer. Nothing was excluded for carrying an inconvenient price.

What we look for

We report that there is nothing to discount

All 151 in-stock listings in this 6 September 2026 read carry a selling price equal to their list price. Not one has a struck-through reference price or a percentage badge. That is unusual enough to be the headline, and it means no card on this page shows a discount, because showing one would be inventing it.

We price every pick per millilitre or per gram

With no discount to compare, per-unit cost is the only lever a buyer has. It is also the only way to see that Rs. 595 buys either 20 g of sunscreen stick or 110 ml of sunscreen spray on the same shelf - a 5.5-fold difference at an identical price.

We name the pack size the price belongs to

Several of these products sell in more than one size at different per-unit costs, and the size is not always obvious from the product name. Every card states the size its price attaches to, so the per-millilitre figure can be checked rather than taken on trust.

We report what the feed does not publish

Dot & Key's feed carries no rating average and no rating count, so no rating pill renders anywhere on this page. It states SPF and PA ratings and active percentages on pack, which we quote as printed. We have not applied, patch-tested or laboratory-verified anything here.

FAQs

Does Dot & Key ever offer discounts?

Not on its own site on the day we read it. In our 6 September 2026 pull of Dot & Key's product feed, all 151 in-stock listings sold at their list price — not one carried a struck-through reference price or a percentage badge. That is genuinely unusual for an Indian beauty brand and it is the single most useful thing to know before shopping there: on this evidence, there is no sale to wait for on the brand's own site. We can only report the day we read, and a brand can run a promotion at any time, particularly around festival periods. Coupon codes and bank offers at checkout sit outside the feed and are worth checking separately, as are Dot & Key's prices at Nykaa, Amazon and Flipkart, which are set by those retailers.

Which Dot & Key sunscreen is the best value?

Per unit, the Watermelon Cooling Sunscreen Body Spray at Rs. 595 for 110 ml, which works out at Rs. 5.41 per millilitre — but it is a body product, so for your face the answer is one of the three 50 g gel sunscreens at Rs. 445, or Rs. 8.90 per gram. All of them state the same SPF 50+ PA++++, so you are choosing on texture and extras rather than on protection. The one to be deliberate about is the 20 g Strawberry Sunscreen Stick: it also costs Rs. 595, which is Rs. 29.75 per gram, five and a half times the spray. A stick is a genuinely useful thing for reapplying over makeup during the day, and a poor choice as your only sunscreen, because almost nobody applies one thickly enough to reach the stated SPF.

Why do two Dot & Key products cost the same but come in different sizes?

Because this site prices by shelf rather than by pack. Several categories here have one or two price points that repeat across quite different formats: three face sunscreens at Rs. 445, two sunscreens at Rs. 595, two moisturisers at Rs. 399, two 100 ml face washes at Rs. 249. When the price is fixed and the pack size is not, the per-unit cost does all the moving — which is why the Barrier Repair Intense at 100 g and the Strawberry + Niacinamide at 80 g both cost Rs. 399 but work out at Rs. 3.99 and Rs. 4.99 per gram. Neither is a bad product for it; the formulas differ and suit different skin. It just means the sticker price cannot tell you which is better value, so you have to divide.

Is Dot & Key expensive compared with other Indian skincare brands?

On the categories we have priced, it sits above the cheapest D2C brands and below premium ones, and the absence of discounting narrows the gap in its favour less than you might think. Its serums run about Rs. 20 per millilitre against roughly Rs. 17 for Plum's ThinkDerma line in our read of that shelf the same morning, and its face washes at Rs. 2.49 per millilitre are cheaper than Plum's Rs. 2.42 to Rs. 2.54 band by a hair. Its barrier moisturisers at Rs. 3.95 to Rs. 3.99 per gram are notably good value because of the 100 g pack size. Because Dot & Key never discounts and Plum is permanently at 15 per cent off, the list prices are not comparable directly — only the prices you actually pay, which is what we have used throughout.

Do Dot & Key listings show ratings?

Not in the product feed we read. Dot & Key's Shopify feed publishes no rating average and no rating count for any product, which is why no rating pill appears on any card on this page. Star ratings do appear on the brand's own product pages and on marketplace listings at Nykaa, Amazon and Flipkart, but those are different sellers with different review pools, and importing a marketplace rating onto a page about direct-site prices would be mixing two things. We have not applied, patch-tested or laboratory-verified any product here, so nothing on this page is a judgement of how any formula performs — it is a price read.

More Dot & Key coverage on Zoutons

How Zoutons picks deals Zoutons may earn a commission when you buy through links on this page. Every selling price, list price and pack size here was read on 6 September 2026 from dotandkey.com's own Shopify product feed as served to a logged-out visitor in India; 151 in-stock listings with images were returned and 23 face-care products are seated, chosen for category spread and pack-size variation. The statement that nothing is discounted describes those 151 listings on that day: none carried a compare-at price above its selling price. It is not a claim about Dot & Key's pricing at any other time, on any other channel, or about coupon codes, bank offers or cart-level promotions, which sit outside the product feed; the same products sell at Nykaa, Amazon, Flipkart and other retailers at prices set by those retailers and often discounted there. No claim is made about Dot & Key's pricing strategy, costs or margins, and no wrongdoing by the brand or its parent is alleged or implied. Where a product sells in several sizes, the price seated is the feed's first variant and the card names that size; per-millilitre and per-gram figures are our own arithmetic over the listed price and that stated size. This feed publishes no rating average and no rating count, so no rating pill appears on any card and nothing here reflects customer feedback. SPF values, PA ratings and active-ingredient percentages are quoted from the listings and pack faces as printed; we have not tested, applied, patch-tested or laboratory-verified any product, have not assessed any efficacy or in-vivo testing claim, and our notes on how ingredients such as salicylic acid, glycolic acid, retinol, niacinamide, vitamin C, hyaluronic acid, ceramides and mineral versus organic UV filters behave describe those ingredient classes in general rather than these specific formulas. Nothing here is medical or dermatological advice; skincare actives and sunscreens can irritate, sun protection depends heavily on how much product is applied and how often it is reapplied, and anyone with a skin condition or a history of reactions should speak to a doctor rather than rely on a price page. Prices change frequently and can differ at checkout after a coupon or bank offer - re-check before paying.
