Croma's own label is discounted 24.4% and the brands 24.7% — the same badge. The difference is the price: a median of Rs. 12,790 against Rs. 22,990.
We read Croma's own search API on July 28, 2026 across four large-appliance categories — air conditioners, washing machines, refrigerators and microwaves — and collected 84 in-stock listings carrying a live discount, 21 in each. The first thing we tested was whether the retailer discounts its own label harder than the brands it stocks, which is the sort of thing that would be worth knowing. It does not: Croma's own-label listings averaged 24.4% off across 25 products and everything else averaged 24.7% across 59, a difference of no consequence. What separates them is the price itself. The median own-label listing in our sample was Rs. 12,790; the median branded one was Rs. 22,990. So the house brand's entire proposition is a lower number at the same badge, which has a practical consequence worth stating plainly: anyone shopping this catalogue by percentage will walk straight past the cheapest way to buy an appliance here. The second finding is seasonal. Air conditioners averaged 30.5% off, well clear of refrigerators at 23.6%, washing machines at 23.1% and microwaves at 21.3% — late July is the tail of the Indian cooling season, and cooling stock that does not move now has to sit through a winter. That is our inference rather than a Croma statement, but if you need an air conditioner, this is the better half of the year to buy one. One more number for the road: a Daikin and a Voltas in these picks are both 1.5 ton 3 star inverter splits at an identical Rs. 38,990, behind badges of 29% and 42%. Our Croma home appliances piece goes further into what the listings can and cannot evidence.
Every price below was pulled from Croma on July 28, 2026 and checked against the MRP on the listing. Stack them with the live codes on our Croma coupons page, which the deals desk re-verifies daily.
Four picks from Rs. 1,899 to Rs. 38,990. Croma's own-label appliances averaged 24.4% off across our reading and the branded ones 24.7% — the same badge, at a median of Rs. 12,790 against Rs. 22,990.
Rs. 1,899 for Croma's own 10-litre OTG — a seventh of the price of the branded one below.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 1,899, and the badge is almost identical to the Rs. 13,899 alternative.
Rs. 13,899 at 54% off — a 52-litre digital OTG, against Croma's 10-litre at Rs. 1,899.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 13,899, and a 54% badge that tells you nothing the Rs. 1,899 badge did not.
Rs. 20,990 for a 10 kg 5-star top loader — the largest washing capacity in our picks.
Why it earned its spot Ten kilograms for Rs. 20,990, from the house brand.
Rs. 38,990 for a 1.5 ton 3-star inverter split — the price to hold in mind all page.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 38,990 is roughly what a branded 1.5-ton inverter split costs here.
Five picks from Rs. 29,994 to Rs. 51,490. Air conditioners averaged 30.5% off across 21 listings, against 21.3% for microwaves — which is what the tail of a cooling season looks like.
Rs. 35,490 at 49% off — a window unit, and the largest air-conditioner discount in our picks.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 35,490, and window units are the format the market has left behind.
Rs. 40,490 at 46% off — a 6-in-1 convertible split with a monsoon mode.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 40,490 for the feature-heavy 1.5 ton split.
Rs. 29,994 at 41% off — a 1.2 ton unit, the smallest and cheapest split in our picks.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 29,994, and 1.2 ton is the right size more often than people think.
Rs. 51,490 for a 5-star 1.5 ton split — the efficiency pick, at 40% off.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 51,490, and the 5-star rating is what the extra money buys.
Rs. 37,490 at 39% off — from the brand that primarily makes cooling equipment.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 37,490, and Blue Star's business is air conditioning rather than everything.
Rs. 33,790 to Rs. 59,490, at 35%, 32% and 29% off — including a Daikin at exactly the same Rs. 38,990 as chapter one's Voltas, behind a badge thirteen points smaller.
Rs. 59,490 for a 2 ton dual inverter — the biggest AC and the highest price in our picks.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 59,490 for 2 ton, which most rooms do not need.
Rs. 33,790 at 32% off — Croma's own 1.5 ton split, Rs. 5,200 below the Voltas.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 33,790 for a 1.5 ton inverter split with Wi-Fi, from the house label.
Rs. 38,990 at 29% off — the same price as the Voltas, at two-thirds of the discount.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 38,990, identical to the Voltas, behind a 29% badge instead of 42%.
Rs. 8,090 to Rs. 23,990, spanning semi-automatic to inverter front load. A complete range from a single house brand, which most retailers cannot offer.
Rs. 9,490 for an 8 kg semi-automatic — under ten thousand rupees for a full-size machine.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 9,490, and a semi-automatic uses far less water than a fully automatic.
Rs. 23,990 for a 7 kg inverter front loader — the machine that washes best, at 40% off.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 23,990, and front loaders wash better and use less water.
Rs. 12,790 for a 6.5 kg 5-star top loader — the median Croma own-label price, almost exactly.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 12,790, which is the median price of Croma's own-label range.
Rs. 8,090 for a 6.5 kg semi-automatic — the lowest washing-machine price in our picks.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 8,090, the least you can spend on a washing machine here.
Three picks from Rs. 15,990 to Rs. 43,290 at 37%, 34% and 28% off. A fridge runs every hour of every day for a decade, which makes the energy rating a bigger number than the badge.
Rs. 43,290 for a 325-litre bottom-mount — the biggest fridge in our picks, at 37% off.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 43,290, and a bottom mount puts the fridge where your hands are.
Rs. 15,990 for a 190-litre 3-star single door — with a stabilizer built in.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 15,990, and the built-in stabilizer saves a separate purchase.
Rs. 19,390 for a 189-litre 4-star single door — smaller than the Haier and Rs. 3,400 dearer.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 19,390, and the 4-star rating is what the extra money buys.
Rs. 4,799 and Rs. 17,690, at 40% and 27% off — two machines that people buy interchangeably and should not, since one browns and the other steams.
Rs. 4,799 for a 19-litre OTG with rotisserie — the house label again, at 40% off.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 4,799 for an OTG with a rotisserie, which is a lot of oven for the money.
Rs. 17,690 at 27% off — a 28-litre charcoal convection microwave, the shallowest cut here.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 17,690, and 27% is the smallest discount in our picks.
Four things follow when the badge is flat across a catalogue. First: shop by price and specification, and look at the own label deliberately rather than waiting for it to advertise itself with a bigger percentage — it will not. Second: on anything that runs constantly, treat the energy rating as part of the price. A refrigerator runs every hour for a decade and an air conditioner for six hours a day through a summer, so the gap between a 3-star and a 5-star unit is a running cost that can approach the purchase-price difference over the life of the machine. Third: ask about the service network before you buy a house-brand appliance, because that is the genuine trade against a major brand and it is invisible in every number on this page. Fourth: the levers that actually move a large-appliance price at a big-box retailer are not the listing badges at all — exchange offers on your old machine, bank-card discounts, no-cost EMI and installation charges routinely swing the final figure by more than the percentages here. Our Croma Saving Days page and upcoming sale tracker follow those events, and the Croma coupon page carries the current codes.

Every price and MRP here comes from Croma's own search response on July 28, 2026, across air conditioners, washing machines, refrigerators and microwaves — 84 in-stock listings carrying a live discount, 21 in each category. Prices at a large-format retailer move with exchange offers, bank promotions and store-level negotiation, none of which appear in an API response, so treat these as the listed online price on that date.
Croma's own-label appliances in our sample averaged 24.4% off across 25 listings; everything else averaged 24.7% across 59. That is no difference at all. What did differ was the price: a median of Rs. 12,790 for the own-label listings against Rs. 22,990 for the branded ones. The house brand's proposition is a lower price at the same discount, not a deeper discount — which means anyone shopping by percentage will not find it.
Air conditioners averaged 30.5% off across 21 listings, refrigerators 23.6%, washing machines 23.1% and microwaves 21.3%. Late July is the tail of the Indian cooling season, and cooling stock that does not sell now has to overwinter — which is the most plausible explanation for the gap, and is our inference rather than a statement by Croma. If you need an air conditioner and can install it in the rain, this is the better half of the year to buy one.
Croma's API returns a star rating for many products and a review count for none of them. A 5.0 that might rest on one review and a 4.4 that might rest on four hundred are not comparable claims, and printing the score without the sample size would imply evidence we cannot show. So this page carries no rating pills and no scores of our own. Where a purchase this size is concerned, the specification that matters more than any score is the service network — and that is the one thing neither the API nor the badge can tell you. Prices read July 28, 2026.
No. In our July 28, 2026 reading of 84 discounted large appliances on Croma's own API, the retailer's own-label listings averaged 24.4% off across 25 products and everything else averaged 24.7% across 59 — no meaningful difference. What differs is the price: the own-label median was Rs. 12,790 against Rs. 22,990 for the branded listings. The house brand is the cheaper way to buy, not the more discounted one, which means shopping by percentage will hide it from you.
On the discount evidence, yes. Air conditioners averaged 30.5% off across the 21 listings we read on July 28, 2026, against 23.6% for refrigerators, 23.1% for washing machines and 21.3% for microwaves. Late July is the tail of the cooling season and unsold stock would otherwise have to overwinter, which is the most plausible explanation — our inference rather than a Croma statement. The practical caveat is installation: scheduling an outdoor-unit installation during monsoon rain can take longer than it would in April.
It depends entirely on how many hours the machine runs. A refrigerator runs every hour of every day for around a decade, so the efficiency gap compounds and a higher star rating can plausibly repay its premium over the life of the unit. An air conditioner running six hours a day through an Indian summer is similar. A washing machine running four loads a week is not, and paying extra for stars there is a poorer investment. In our picks the 5-star 1.5-ton split is Rs. 11,000 above the 3-star equivalent.
Because the percentage is calculated against each listing's own MRP, not against a market price. Among our picks, a Daikin and a Voltas are both 1.5 ton 3 star inverter splits listed at an identical Rs. 38,990, showing badges of 29% and 42% — the money leaving your account is the same and only the reference price differs. This is the clearest reason to compare selling prices, capacity, star rating and service network rather than ranking two appliances by badge.
It shows star ratings but no review counts, which is why this page prints none of them. Croma's search response returned a rating for many of the 84 products we read and a count for none, so a 5.0 that might rest on a single review is indistinguishable from a 4.4 resting on hundreds. We show a rating only when we can show the sample size beside it. For a purchase of this size, the more useful question is the service network for the brand in your city, which no rating on any site can answer.
