Croma AC Prices September 2026: 1.5 Ton From Rs. 29,990 Across 46 Models

We read 46 in-stock air conditioners from Croma's own search API on 4 September 2026 — 42 split units and four window units. Twenty-nine of the 46 are the standard 1.5-ton size, which lets us hold cooling capacity constant and price the efficiency step on its own.

The 18 listings that are 1.5 Ton, 3 Star sell at a median of Rs. 37,740. The nine that are 1.5 Ton, 5 Star sell at a median of Rs. 49,990. That is Rs. 12,250 for one efficiency grade at the same tonnage, and the badge does not flag it — the 3-star group is badged a median 28% off and the 5-star group a median 26%.

Whether that premium is worth paying depends entirely on how many hours a year you actually run the machine and what you pay per unit of electricity, which is not something a price shelf can tell you and not something we are claiming to know. What the shelf can tell you is the size of the cheque: Rs. 12,250 up front, on the same cooling capacity, before installation.

Across all 46 listings prices run Rs. 26,490 to Rs. 55,090 at a median of Rs. 35,642 and a median 28% off. The shelf is narrower than most electronics aisles: the dearest AC here is barely twice the price of the cheapest.

One ton is 11 listings at a median Rs. 32,990, running Rs. 28,790 to Rs. 37,490. One-and-a-half tons is the bulk of the shelf at 29 listings and a median Rs. 39,490, but it is also the widest band by far — Rs. 29,990 to Rs. 55,090 — because it holds everything from a 2-star fixed-speed window unit to a Rs. 55,090 O General inverter split. Two tons is only three listings, all above Rs. 46,000.

Four window ACs survive on this shelf, all of them 1.5 ton, running Rs. 29,990 to Rs. 35,290. Three of the four are Croma's own label. If you want a window unit, that is effectively the choice on offer here.

Group the 46 listings by brand and the badges cluster hard. Carrier's three listings are badged 43–50% off. LG's four are 41–47%. Samsung's single listing is 43%, Lloyd's two are 39–41%, Voltas 29–42%, Blue Star 32–41%.

Then the other cluster. Croma's own label runs 12–28%, Godrej 21–31%, Daikin 21–28%, Panasonic 26–27%, and a single O General carries a 2% badge on a Rs. 55,090 machine. The two groups sell into the same price band — Carrier's median is Rs. 34,190 and Croma's Rs. 32,990 — but their stated reference prices differ enormously. Carrier's deepest listing is Rs. 34,190 off a stated Rs. 68,290; the Croma unit closest to it in price is Rs. 30,994 off a stated Rs. 40,500.

We cannot verify whether any stated maximum retail price on this shelf was ever a live selling price, we make no claim either way, and no wrongdoing by Croma or by any brand named is alleged or implied. The practical point is narrow and useful: on this aisle a 50%-off badge and a 24%-off badge can land on machines that cost about the same.

Eleven of the 46 listings are Croma-branded — more than any other name on the aisle, and more than LG, Carrier, Voltas, Lloyd and Samsung put together. They are also the cheapest cluster by median at Rs. 32,990 against Rs. 37,490 for everything else, and they carry the shallowest badges: a median 24% off a median stated Rs. 44,000, against 34% off a median stated Rs. 57,990 for the rest of the shelf.

Read that carefully, because it is the opposite of how the badge usually reads. The house label is not discounting deeply; it is starting from a lower stated price and ending up cheaper anyway. Three of the four window ACs on the shelf are Croma units, and the cheapest 1-ton split at Rs. 28,790 is a Croma too.

What the shelf cannot tell you is anything about how these machines perform, how the installation or the service network compares, or what the warranty covers. We have not tested any air conditioner on this page.

Thirty-two of the 46 listings carry a customer rating. The median number of ratings behind those scores is three. Twenty-four of the 32 have fewer than ten ratings, and the best-supported listing on the entire shelf has 39.

Seventeen listings show a perfect 5.0, and 15 of those seventeen are built on fewer than five votes. A 5.0 from two people and a 4.8 from 39 people are not the same object, and the shelf displays them the same way.

This is not a criticism of Croma's review system and we are not suggesting anything is wrong with it — big-ticket appliances simply do not accumulate reviews the way phone cases do. It does mean that on this particular aisle, sorting or filtering by rating is close to sorting by noise, and you are better off checking the specific model number somewhere with a deeper review pool.

Price the star rating, then decide. On the same 1.5-ton capacity, the 5-star median is Rs. 49,990 against Rs. 37,740 for 3-star. Whether Rs. 12,250 comes back to you depends on your running hours and your tariff — but you should at least know you are being asked for it, because the badge does not say so.

Ignore the percentage, compare the rupees. A Carrier at 50% off and a Croma at 24% off both land near Rs. 32,000–34,000 on this shelf. The badge is tracking each brand's stated reference price, not the money you hand over.

Do not sort by rating here. The median listing has three ratings and 17 of the 46 show a perfect 5.0, most of them from fewer than five people. Look the exact model number up somewhere with a deeper review pool, and get the installation cost quoted before you commit.
