Eighty-seven listings read on 4 October. One brand sells an identical stated volume at four prices, and the two cheapest carry all the ratings.
Room spray hides its price behind the can, so the shelf only becomes legible when you divide by the volume each title states. Do that to the 87 listings Amazon returned on 4 October and one brand's stated 180 ml can turns out to sell at Rs. 97, Rs. 98, Rs. 136 and Rs. 139 - the same brand, the same size, 43% apart, with nothing between them but the fragrance. The two cheapest carry a shared pool of 20,661 ratings; the two dearest have 35 and 99.
Every price below was pulled from Amazon India on October 4, 2026 and checked against the MRP on the listing. Stack them with the live codes on our Amazon India coupons page, which the deals desk re-verifies daily.

Four rules make this shelf legible. First: divide by the volume in the title, including when the title spells out a pack - '440 ml Combo (Pack of 2, 220 ml each)' and '3 X 150 Ml - 450ML' both give you the total. Doing it moves the largest single can on the page from looking like the bulk buy to being the fourth dearest millilitre on it. Second: ignore the second figure beside the price. On this shelf it is a unit rate whose unit changes between listings - a per-can rate on one tile, a per-100 ml rate on another, and a repeat of the selling price on single cans - and on 18 of 20 listings there is no MRP at all, which is why this page shows only two discount badges. Third: check the fragrance premium within a brand before crossing brands. The widest gap in this entire read is inside one brand at one size: Rs. 97 to Rs. 139 for a stated 180 ml can. Fourth: read the rating count beside the scent, not beside the brand. Two cans here share one pool of 20,661, while the dearer cans of the same brand and size carry 35 and 99 ratings - so a famous name on the tin does not mean the variant in your basket has been rated by anyone. If the brief is simply to make a room smell of something, the arithmetic is blunt: Rs. 97 buys a stated 180 ml can from the best-evidenced listing on the shelf, Rs. 199 buys a stated 490 ml across two cans at Rs. 0.41 a millilitre - the cheapest rate on the page. Everything above Rs. 0.78 a millilitre here is a single can, and the single can you pay most for per millilitre is the 100 ml one that no one has rated. We did not buy, spray or smell anything on this page, and no coverage or duration claim printed on any of these cans is assessed by us.

Each selling price, stated MRP, rating average, rating count and printed unit rate on this page was read on 4 October 2026 from amazon.in search results for 'air freshener room spray', 'room freshener spray', 'car air freshener' and 'bathroom air freshener', logged out, in India, with nothing purchased. Eighty-seven unsponsored listings were returned and 21 are seated.
Gels, blocks, pocket sachets, plug-in refills, car hangers and anything without a stated millilitre figure in its own title were dropped, because a block and a spray cannot be compared on volume. Where a title states a pack - '440 ml Combo (Pack of 2, 220 ml each)' or '3 X 150 Ml - 450ML' - we use the total the title itself gives.
We divide the selling price by the total stated volume and print the result on every card and in the comparison table. It is the only figure that compares a 100 ml can with a three-can combo listing, and on this shelf it reorders things sharply: the largest single can is the fourth dearest millilitre on the page.
On a Rs. 206 twin-pack it reads Rs. 103, which is the price per can. On a Rs. 232 three-can combo it reads Rs. 51, which is the price per 100 ml of the stated 450 ml. On single cans it repeats the selling price. Three conventions on one shelf, none of them a maximum retail price, which is why this page divides by the title's own volume instead.
Eighteen of the 20 seated listings publish no figure above their selling price that we could verify as a list price. Two do - both at Rs. 189 against a stated Rs. 249, a 1.32x multiple - while a third identical listing at the same Rs. 189 states none. We have not verified that any item was ever sold at its stated MRP.
Two cans from one brand here, both stated 180 ml, show the identical 4.1 stars from 20,661 ratings. Ratings attach to a product record rather than to a scent, so that pool is not evidence about either fragrance individually, and the cards say so rather than printing a large number as though it belonged to one can.
'Long-lasting', 'odour eliminator', '70 days', '2,600 sprays', '5,600+ sprays' and every fragrance description are the listings' own printed words, reproduced as printed. We did not buy, open, spray, smell, weigh or time anything. A stated millilitre is a declared fill volume and nothing more.
In this read of 87 listings on 4 October 2026, the cheapest to buy was a stated 180 ml can at Rs. 97, and the cheapest per millilitre was a two-can listing at Rs. 199 for a stated 490 ml, or Rs. 0.41 a millilitre. Those are different answers to different questions: every rate below Rs. 0.50 a millilitre on this shelf belongs to a multi-can listing. Prices and stock change continuously, so check the live page.
We can only report that it does. One brand's stated 180 ml can appeared four times in this read at Rs. 97 (jasmine), Rs. 98 (cool aqua), Rs. 136 (sandal) and Rs. 139 (citrus) - a 43% spread on identical stated volume from one brand. The rating pools differ sharply too: the two cheapest share a single pool of 20,661 ratings, while the sandal can has 35 and the citrus can 99. We make no claim about why the prices differ and allege no impropriety by anyone.
Not on this shelf, unless 'bigger' means more cans. The largest single can in the read, a stated 275 ml at Rs. 215, works out at Rs. 0.78 a millilitre - the fourth dearest rate on the page - while a stated 180 ml can at Rs. 97 is Rs. 0.54. Every rate under Rs. 0.50 a millilitre here belongs to a two, three-can listing. Within one brand, moving from a stated 180 ml can to a stated 200 ml one cost Rs. 42 for the extra 20 ml.
Because they publish no MRP. Eighteen of the 20 seated listings state no figure above their selling price that we could verify as a list price, so 19 of the 21 cards here show the price alone. The number amazon.in prints beside the price on this shelf is a unit rate rather than an MRP, and its unit changes between listings - Rs. 103 on a Rs. 206 twin-pack is the price per can, while Rs. 51 on a Rs. 232 three-can combo is the price per 100 ml. Only two listings here state a real MRP, both Rs. 249 against Rs. 189.
Not necessarily, and this shelf shows why. Two cans of one brand here, in different fragrances, display the identical 4.1 stars from 20,661 ratings - one shared pool across both listings. Ratings attach to a product record rather than to a scent, so those 20,661 people were not all rating the variant in your basket. Meanwhile the same brand's sandal can, separately listed, carries 35 ratings. We bought, sprayed and smelled nothing and make no claim about any fragrance.
