Amazon Live India 2026: How to Watch and Shop Creator Livestream Deals

Amazon Live India explainer: watch and shop creator livestream deals during the Great Indian Festival 2026, with a brass diya from a live stream shelf

Zoutons Explains, Amazon Live

A creator talking you through festival deals, with the products pinned under the video. We watched two streams on the second day of the Great Indian Festival to see how it works and whether the prices are any different.

Prices & codes last verified October 10, 2026

The short answerAmazon Live is a section of Amazon.in and the Amazon app where creators run live shopping streams. Open amazon.in/live or search “Amazon Live” in the app. On October 10, 2026, four creators were live at once, the stream shelves carried Great Indian Festival deal prices (a 36-inch toran at Rs. 136, a Galaxy S25 Ultra at Rs. 94,999), and we found no stream-only price below the deal page. Watch it for the walkthrough and the questions, buy wherever the price is the same.

Somewhere between a teleshopping channel and an Instagram live, Amazon Live has been running on Amazon.in since the 2022 festive season without most shoppers noticing it. There is no banner for it on the homepage. You reach it by typing “Amazon Live” into the search bar or opening amazon.in/live, and what you get is a video player, a creator holding up a product, a chat column and a shelf of deals that updates as the stream moves on. We opened it on October 10, 2026, with the Great Indian Festival in its third day, and read two streams product by product to see what the shelf prices were and whether the format adds anything to a sale you can already browse on your own.

What Amazon Live is, and where it lives

A live shopping section inside Amazon.in, hosted by creators, not by Amazon staff.

Amazon describes Amazon Live as a live shopping programme on Amazon.in where customers interact directly with content creators, who showcase products, answer questions and offer limited-time deals. In practice it is a page with three tabs:

  • Discover. The default view. A featured live stream plays at the top with its product shelf below, and a “Watch more livestreams” row leads to the others running right now.
  • Following. Streams from creators you have followed. It asks you to sign in before it shows anything.
  • Browse. Labelled “Browse All”. When we opened it signed out on desktop it rendered empty, so expect this tab to work properly in the app, signed in.

Three ways to get there. Open amazon.in/live in a browser. Type Amazon Live into the search bar of the Amazon app, which is the route the page itself suggests with the line “Find us again: Search for Amazon Live”. Or open a creator's channel link directly, which is what you get when a creator shares a stream on Instagram or YouTube.

The service launched in India on September 29, 2022, during that year's Great Indian Festival, with more than 150 creators and a schedule of about 15 streams a day between 10 am and 1 am, hosted by names ranging from tech reviewers to Parineeti Chopra and PV Sindhu. Four years on, the celebrity bookings are gone and the roster is working creators with their own Instagram and YouTube followings. On October 10 the Featured Creators rail listed ten channels: The Great Kitchen Fest, Baby Ka Sawaal Hai, Gargee Agarwal, Hackindtech, Anjali Jalan Agarwal, Hell of Tech, Kajal's Store, Indu Sharma, Electrical Unboxing and Kanchan Chauhan.

What was streaming on day three of the Great Indian Festival

Four creators live at 4 pm, two of them read product by product.

Amazon's site header read “Great Indian Festival | Live Now” and the live page had four creators with a red LIVE badge at the same time. We watched two. The first, Gargee Agarwal's “Festive Home Finds | Everyday Essentials”, was scheduled for 4 pm, had between 1.3K and 1.7K viewers while we watched, and carried a shelf of about forty Diwali decor products. The second, Hackindtech's “Price Cut On Premium Smartphones This Sale”, had 1.2K viewers and a shelf of flagship and mid-range phones.

Every stream has the same furniture. The creator's name sits under the player with an “Earns commissions” label and a Follow button. A chat column runs down the right, and you must be signed in to post. The product shelf below the video marks one item as “Featured now”, which changes as the creator moves to the next product, and each card shows the deal price against the list price with a “Great Indian Festival” or “Mega Festival Deal” tag where one applies.

A detail worth knowingThe “See more” link under a stream carried the creator's own Amazon affiliate tag in the URL. That is how “Earns commissions” works: a purchase from the stream shelf is credited to the creator, not priced differently for you.

The prices on the stream shelf, and how they compare

Festival deal prices, with the festival badge, and nothing we could find below them.

The question that matters is whether a livestream gets you a lower price than the deal page. On the two streams we read, it did not. Every product with a festival badge showed the same deal price the badge carries on its own product page, and the products without a badge showed an ordinary deal-versus-list pair. Amazon's own description says creators can offer limited-time deals, so stream-only drops may exist, but we did not see one on October 10.

The discounts look large because the list prices on small decor items are generous to begin with. A 77% cut on a toran is Rs. 463 of saving. Our under Rs. 999 festival list uses the same deal prices and is easier to compare across sellers than a scrolling shelf.

The phone stream is a better test, because phone prices are watched closely and the sums are large:

The Galaxy S25 Ultra at Rs. 94,999 and the iPhone 16 at Rs. 76,999 were the festival prices on the product pages that afternoon. Our festival mobile price list, built on launch day, had recorded the iPhone 16 at Rs. 71,999, so phone prices move within the sale and a shelf is only as current as the hour you watch it. The 10% SBI card instant discount that Amazon advertises for the sale is applied at checkout, so it is not reflected in any shelf price, on a stream or off it.

How to watch and shop a stream, step by step

Six steps, none of which require the app, though the app is where it works best.

  1. Open the page. Go to amazon.in/live, or search “Amazon Live” in the Amazon app. The Discover tab opens on a featured stream.
  2. Pick a stream. Scroll past the featured player to “Watch more livestreams” for the rest, or tap a creator on the Featured Creators rail. Channels with a red LIVE badge are on air; the others show their past videos.
  3. Read the shelf before you listen. The product cards under the player show the deal price, list price and badge for everything the creator plans to cover. If nothing on the shelf is on your list, move on.
  4. Tap a product to open its page. The card leads to the normal product page, where you can check the seller, the bank offer line and the exchange value before adding to cart. The stream keeps playing in the app.
  5. Sign in to chat or follow. Questions in chat are answered on air, which is the one thing a stream does that a deal page cannot. The Follow button adds the creator to your Following tab so you see their next stream.
  6. Pay the way you would anyway. Bank instant discounts, no-cost EMI and exchange offers are applied at checkout exactly as they are for any festival order. Nothing about buying from a stream changes your invoice.

Two things to expect. A stream can run for an hour or more and the useful product may be at minute forty, so the shelf, not the video, is the quick route. And the chat is a public room, so the usual care about what you post applies.

When a livestream is worth it, and when a deal page is enough

Use it for the walkthrough and the questions, not for the price.

Worth it for products you cannot judge from a listing. The home-decor stream is the stronger case for the format. A toran, an urli or a pooja mandir looks like every other one in a search result, and the creator unboxing it and holding it against a wall answers the size and finish question a listing photo cannot. The same goes for kitchen appliances, which is why a kitchen channel sits on the Featured Creators rail.

Worth it for a live comparison. On the phone stream the value was not the price but the creator answering “this or that” questions between two phones at the same budget, in real time. If you are choosing between a Redmi Turbo 5 at Rs. 40,999 and a Tecno CAMON 50 Ultra at Rs. 39,999, a reviewer handling both is a reasonable way to spend twenty minutes.

Not worth it for the discount. We found no price on a stream shelf that was lower than the product page. If you already know what you want, the deal page, the bank offer and the exchange calculator get you to the same number faster. Our TV and appliance price list and kitchen appliance offers cover the large-ticket categories the streams only touch.

Watch for the selection, not the pitch. A creator's shelf is a curated forty out of a category with forty thousand listings, chosen by someone who earns only if viewers buy. That is a reasonable filter, and it is also a sales incentive. Read it the way you would read any recommendation that pays the recommender.

How the creators get paid, and who can stream

An extension of the Amazon Influencer Program, which is free to join and now has 1.25 lakh members.

Amazon Live is part of the Amazon Influencer Program, the creator arm of Amazon Associates. Creators earn a commission on qualifying purchases made through their storefront, their links and their streams, and the rate depends on the product category. Amazon says the programme grew to over 1.25 lakh creators in 2025, that customers spent 43 million minutes watching creator-led content on Amazon.in in a 30-day window, and that nearly 70% of creator-led purchases come from non-metro cities.

To join, Amazon asks for a YouTube, Instagram or Facebook account, with Instagram and Facebook applicants on a business account. Applications are reviewed on content quality, relevance and engagement as well as follower count. Joining is free. Once approved, creators manage streams, posts and earnings from Creator Central, Amazon's hub for the programme, and the Live tools sit inside it. Amazon has not published a separate follower threshold for streaming, so treat Live access as something you apply for after the Influencer Program approves you.

For shoppers, the practical consequence is the one noted above: the creator is paid on what you buy, the price is set by Amazon and the seller, and the two do not interact. Follow the creators whose taste you trust, and check the price the way you would anywhere else.

The stream is not where the discount lives. The discount is the festival deal price, and the stream is a person explaining which of forty products to actually buy.Zoutons Editorial

Frequently asked questions

What is Amazon Live in India?

Amazon Live is the live shopping section of Amazon.in and the Amazon app, where creators stream video, show products and pin a shelf of deals under the player. Viewers can chat, follow the creator and buy from the shelf. It launched in India in September 2022 and runs creator streams through the Great Indian Festival 2026.

How do I find Amazon Live in the Amazon app?

Type Amazon Live into the search bar of the Amazon app, or open amazon.in/live in a browser. The page opens on the Discover tab with a featured live stream. The Following tab shows creators you follow once you sign in, and the Browse tab lists all streams.

Are Amazon Live prices lower than normal Amazon prices?

Not on the streams we checked on October 10, 2026. The shelf prices matched the Great Indian Festival deal prices on the product pages, for example a Galaxy S25 Ultra at Rs. 94,999 and a 36-inch toran at Rs. 136. Amazon says creators can offer limited-time deals, so a stream-only drop is possible, but check the product page before assuming one.

Do bank offers and EMI apply when I buy from an Amazon Live stream?

Yes. Tapping a product on the stream shelf opens the normal product page, and checkout is the same as for any festival order. The 10% SBI card instant discount, no-cost EMI and exchange offers are applied at payment and are not shown in the shelf price.

How do Amazon Live creators earn money?

Creators are members of the Amazon Influencer Program and earn a commission on qualifying purchases made through their streams, links and storefront, at a rate that depends on the product category. Links from a stream carry the creator's affiliate tag. The programme is free to join and requires a YouTube, Instagram or Facebook account.

Zoutons may earn a commission when you shop through links on this page, at no extra cost to you. Stream names, viewer counts and shelf prices were read from amazon.in/live on October 10, 2026, between 4 pm and 5 pm IST, signed out, with delivery set to Delhi. Live streams change by the hour and festival deal prices change without notice, so treat every figure here as a snapshot and check the product page before you pay. Background figures on creator counts and watch time are Amazon's own published numbers.
