AJIO's saree, co-ord, heels and handbag listings held 163 items on 1 September 2026, and 95 of them cost under Rs. 800 — from Rs. 222 for a printed saree upward.
The 70-plus per cent badges above those prices are the part to ignore. Thirteen unrelated listings on this shelf share one Rs. 1,999 MRP while selling between Rs. 460 and Rs. 1,279.

📅 Update log:
1 Sep 2026 — first published. Every price, MRP and discount percentage on this page was read from AJIO's own listing responses for the searches "saree", "co-ord set women", "women heels" and "women handbag" on 1 September 2026, with no filters, no sort applied and no account signed in. The 163-listing shelf is those four searches de-duplicated. Category medians, price bands, the count under Rs. 800 and the shared-MRP groupings are our own arithmetic over that data and are described as such. AJIO returned no rating values for any of these listings, so none are quoted. We re-read this shelf and log what changes.
Ninety-five of 163 listings cost under Rs. 800
We read AJIO's listings for sarees, women's co-ord sets, women's heels and women's handbags on 1 September 2026 — no filters, no sort, no account signed in. That is 163 distinct listings from Rs. 222 to Rs. 4,499.
Ninety-five of them are under Rs. 800, and 23 are under Rs. 500. Three of the four categories have a median selling price below Rs. 810. This is a genuinely cheap shelf in rupees, and that part needs no interpretation.
The discount percentages, on the other hand, tell you almost nothing — and the reason is visible in the MRPs themselves.
| Category | Listings | Price band | Median off | Median price |
|---|
| Co-ord sets | 41 | Rs. 299 – Rs. 1,598 | 75% | Rs. 628 |
| Sarees | 41 | Rs. 222 – Rs. 2,600 | 75% | Rs. 805 |
| Women's heels | 40 | Rs. 390 – Rs. 1,832 | 73% | Rs. 688 |
| Women's handbags | 41 | Rs. 253 – Rs. 4,499 | 60% | Rs. 1,279 |
💡 Handbags behave differently from the rest. They carry the shallowest median discount here (60 per cent) and the highest ceiling (Rs. 4,499). The other three categories all sit around a 73–75 per cent median with medians under Rs. 810.
One MRP, thirteen products, three times the price range
Across 163 listings there are only 93 distinct MRPs, and the repeated ones repeat hard. Thirteen listings share an MRP of exactly Rs. 1,999 — and they are not variants of one product. They are handbags and heels, from SHEZONE, Shoetopia, NZS, LUXY and Styli, selling anywhere from Rs. 460 to Rs. 1,279.
The Rs. 4,999 MRP is stranger still: ten listings, spanning co-ord sets, handbags and sarees from ASHRIFAB, Nyrika, Allen Solly and Lavie, selling from Rs. 585 to Rs. 4,499. One reference price, four brands, three product categories and an almost eightfold spread in what is actually charged.
Read that way, the MRP on this shelf is functioning as a round-number band label rather than as a price anything was previously sold at. Which is precisely why the percentage calculated from it cannot rank one listing against another.
| Shared MRP | Listings | Actually selling for | What they are |
|---|
| Rs. 1,999 | 13 | Rs. 460 – Rs. 1,279 | Handbags and heels, five different brands |
| Rs. 4,999 | 10 | Rs. 585 – Rs. 4,499 | Co-ord sets, handbags and sarees |
| Rs. 2,999 | 8 | Rs. 480 – Rs. 1,380 | All four categories at once |
| Rs. 2,995 | 8 | Rs. 779 exactly | Eight heels, one identical selling price |
| Rs. 1,599 | 7 | Rs. 496 – Rs. 1,007 | Co-ords, handbags and sarees |
| Rs. 2,499 | 6 | Rs. 625 – Rs. 1,000 | Handbags, heels and sarees |
| Rs. 1,499 | 5 | Rs. 435 – Rs. 824 | Co-ords, handbags and heels |
₹ Eight heels share an MRP of Rs. 2,995 and all eight sell at exactly Rs. 779. When a whole group of listings lands on one identical price point, that price point is the merchandising decision — the 74 per cent badge above it is arithmetic run backwards from it.
The rupee prices worth knowing
Since the percentages are near-uniform — 95 of the 163 listings are at 70 per cent or more, and the shelf-wide median is 72 — the only figure that distinguishes listings is what you pay.
The floor of each category on the day we read it: Rs. 222 for a printed saree, Rs. 253 for a sling bag, Rs. 299 for a co-ord set and Rs. 390 for a pair of heels.
Below is the sub-Rs. 900 end of all four categories as listed. We have not handled any of these, so nothing here is a quality judgement — it is what AJIO was charging, and for which item.

| Saadhvi Women Floral Print Saree, Contrast Border | Saree | Rs. 222 | Rs. 1,388 | 84% |

| Everqupid Women Embellished Sling-Back Platform Sandals | Heels | Rs. 420 | Rs. 2,099 | 80% |
| FASTRACK Women Sling Bag with Adjustable Strap | Handbag | Rs. 420 | Rs. 2,098 | 80% |
| Indie Picks Occasional Solid Lace Border Silk Saree | Saree | Rs. 426 | Rs. 1,854 | 77% |
| Kiana House Of Fashion Women Leaf Print 2-Piece Co-Ord | Co-ord | Rs. 437 | Rs. 2,298 | 81% |

| ASHRIFAB Women Shirt & Pants Co-Ord Set | Co-ord | Rs. 585 | Rs. 4,999 | 88% |
| CAPRESE Women Baguette Stylish Handbag | Handbag | Rs. 589 | Rs. 3,799 | 84% |

Why we call these MRPs unverified
Every discount percentage on this page is AJIO's own, calculated against an MRP printed on its listing. We read both numbers off the site on 1 September 2026 and report them as published. What we cannot do is confirm that any of these items was previously sold at its stated MRP, and the repetition described above — thirteen unrelated products sharing Rs. 1,999, ten sharing Rs. 4,999, eight heels all landing on Rs. 779 — is the reason we treat those percentages as the site's figures rather than as savings. The rupee price survives the objection either way: Rs. 222 is Rs. 222 whether the reference price above it means anything or not. Separately, AJIO's listing responses carried no rating or rating-count values for any of these 163 rows, so this page makes no claim about customer ratings in either direction.
How to use this shelf
Filter by rupee price, then by what the thing is. Sorting AJIO by discount on these categories will hand you back a list that is 70-something per cent off from top to bottom, which is the same as no sort at all.
If your budget is under Rs. 500, the shelf is real but narrow — 23 listings, weighted toward sarees and co-ord sets. Between Rs. 500 and Rs. 800 it opens up properly across all four categories, and that band holds the bulk of the shelf.
For handbags, expect to pay more: the median is Rs. 1,279 against roughly Rs. 650 for the others, and the named brands here (Caprese, Fastrack, Lavie, Zouk, Puma) sit in the Rs. 589 to Rs. 4,499 range. Our AJIO kurta page under Rs. 1,000 covers the adjoining ethnic aisle, and the AJIO versus Myntra kurta comparison shows how the same MRP arithmetic looks from the other store.
The short version
AJIO's saree, co-ord, heels and handbag listings ran Rs. 222 to Rs. 4,499 on 1 September 2026, with 95 of 163 under Rs. 800 — cheap in rupees, and provably so.
The 70-plus per cent badges are not the story. Thirteen unrelated listings share one Rs. 1,999 MRP and eight heels share one Rs. 779 selling price, so read the rupee figure and ignore the percentage.
Frequently Asked Questions
How cheap are sarees on AJIO?
On the listings we read on 1 September 2026, AJIO's saree shelf ran from Rs. 222 (a Saadhvi floral print with contrast border, shown at 84 per cent off Rs. 1,388) to Rs. 2,600, with a median of Rs. 805. Roughly half the saree listings sat under Rs. 800. Prices change without notice, so check the listing before you buy.
Are AJIO's 70% and 80% discounts real?
The percentages are AJIO's own, calculated against the MRP it prints, and we report them as published — but they cannot be verified as savings. On this shelf 13 unrelated listings (handbags and heels, five brands) share an MRP of exactly Rs. 1,999 while selling between Rs. 460 and Rs. 1,279, and 10 listings across three categories share an MRP of Rs. 4,999. A reference price reused that way across unrelated products is a band label rather than a former price, so we treat the rupee figure as the reliable number.
What is the cheapest thing in AJIO's women's section?
Across the four categories we read on 1 September 2026, the floor was Rs. 222 for a printed saree. The cheapest in each of the others: Rs. 253 for an AVAASA sling bag, Rs. 299 for a co-ord set and Rs. 390 for a pair of heels. Twenty-three of the 163 listings were under Rs. 500.
Which AJIO category discounts the least?
Handbags. Their median discount was 60 per cent against 73 to 75 per cent for sarees, co-ord sets and heels, and handbags also hold the shelf's ceiling at Rs. 4,499. Their median price, Rs. 1,279, is roughly double the other three categories' medians — the named-brand bags (Caprese, Fastrack, Lavie, Zouk, Puma) sit at the top of that band.
Should I sort AJIO by discount percentage?
It will not help much on these categories. Ninety-five of the 163 listings we read were at 70 per cent off or more and the shelf-wide median was 72 per cent, so a discount sort returns a list that is near-uniform from top to bottom. Sorting or filtering by price is the only thing that separates these listings, because the selling price varies far more than the badge does — under one Rs. 1,999 MRP alone, prices ranged 2.8 times.
Prices & codes last verified: 1 September 2026
Every price, MRP and discount percentage on this page was read from AJIO's own listing responses for the site searches "saree", "co-ord set women", "women heels" and "women handbag" on 1 September 2026, with no filters applied, no sort order changed and no account signed in, and is reported as published. The 163-listing shelf is those four searches de-duplicated; it is not AJIO's full catalogue in any of these categories, and a different search, a signed-in session or a different day may return different listings and different prices. Category medians, price bands, the counts under Rs. 800 and Rs. 500, the distinct-MRP count and the shared-MRP groupings are our own arithmetic over that data rather than figures AJIO states. Discount percentages are AJIO's own, calculated against MRPs it publishes; we have not verified that any item was previously sold at its stated MRP, and given that single round MRPs recur across unrelated products and brands, those percentages are reported as the site's figures and expressly not as savings. AJIO returned no rating or rating-count values for these listings, so no claim is made about customer ratings in either direction. We have not bought, handled, worn or inspected any item on this page, so nothing here reports fabric, fit, sizing, construction, colour accuracy, returns or delivery, and no ranking between brands or listings is made or implied. Prices exclude coupons, bank offers and any discount applied at checkout, which are priced separately. AJIO changes listings and prices without notice, so this is one day's read; the price at your checkout is the one that applies. Zoutons may earn a commission if you buy through links on this page; it does not change what you pay, and nothing here was reviewed or approved by AJIO or any brand named.
