AJIO's return window is 10 days — unless you bought a watch, a saree, a pair of sunglasses or a bedsheet, which get 7, or anything from beauty, innerwear, electronics or kitchen, which get none.

There is no single AJIO return window
The number most people are looking for is 10 days, and for apparel, footwear, accessories, winterwear and bags that is right. But AJIO's policy, read on 2 September 2026, runs a category table — Annexure A — with three different answers.
Sunglasses, watches, sarees, dress material, home furnishing and jewellery get 7 days, not 10. And a long list of categories gets nothing at all: innerwear other than bras, all beauty and skin care, hair care, fragrances, makeup, shaving, smartphones, smart watches, tech accessories, gadgets and appliances, kitchen and dining, decor, home essentials, toys, baby care, idols and coins.
One quiet detail sits in the bags row: they are 10-day returnable, but “Exchange not available”, and laptop bags are non-returnable outright. AJIO adds throughout that individual brands can set their own terms, so the product page is the authority for the item in your cart.

💡 The window starts from delivery and it is the shorter clock that usually applies. A saree is 7 days while the kurta next to it is 10; a watch is 7 while the bag it came with is 10. Check the product page before you buy, not after.
Ordering the wrong size is not a returnable reason
This is the line that decides the most arguments, and it is unambiguous. AJIO states it will not accept a return “if you have placed the order for a wrong product model, colour or incorrect Product”.
The returnable reasons the policy lists are about what AJIO did, not what you chose: the product is damaged, the product and shipping package are both damaged, the product is defective or not working, or what arrived is not what was ordered. Those are what the policy calls a Non-Compliant Product.
There is a separate route for size, and it is the exchange process rather than the return process — AJIO allows an exchange request where the product delivered is “of different fit and/or size than the fit and/or size of Product that was ordered”, within the exchange period shown on the product page. That is not the same as changing your mind about the size you picked.

₹ Frequent returners are on notice. The policy reserves the right to charge a “standard convenience fee for future orders” to any account with excessive returns, shown before you place the order. It is one of the few consequences the document attaches to the customer rather than the product.
When the money comes back, and what it leaves out
Refunds are processed within 7 to 10 business days of AJIO approving them, credited to the original payment method or to the AJIO Wallet if you pick that. For a cash-on-delivery order, the choice is between the wallet and a verified bank account — the policy is explicit that “we do not make any cash refunds”.
Two deductions matter. The refund does not include shipping charges or the convenience fee, except where the product itself was non-compliant. And for jewellery or watches, the refund is only made once the item reaches the brand showroom or verification centre — a longer path than a normal apparel pickup.
Cancellation is the cleanest part of the policy but the shortest-lived: you can cancel fully or partially only before the order is packed and the invoice is generated. What to keep, and for how long
AJIO's return conditions are a checklist about the physical item, and every one of them can fail a pickup. Keep the product unused and unwashed, the price tag and bar code intact, the brand tags on, the original packaging and brand box, the invoice, the warranty card, the user manual and every accessory that came with it.
For fragrances, the water seal sticker has to be unbroken. For electronics, the item has to go back sealed in the poly jiffy bag it arrived in, and you are responsible for wiping personal data off any device that stores it — AJIO states it is not liable for misuse of information left on a returned device.
If a free gift came with the order and you are returning the product, the gift goes back too, unused. And if you bought a set or a bundled package, the whole set goes back, not the half you did not like.

The three things worth remembering
One: check the product page before you buy anything that is not plain apparel. The default is 10 days for clothes, shoes, bags and winterwear, 7 days for sunglasses, watches, sarees, home furnishing and jewellery, and nothing at all for beauty, innerwear, electronics, kitchen, decor, toys and baby care.
Two: a return has to be AJIO's mistake, not yours. Damaged, defective, or not what was ordered are the returnable reasons; picking the wrong colour or size is explicitly not, and the route for size is the exchange process.
Three: keep everything. Tags, box, invoice, accessories, free gifts, seals and the jiffy bag. The refund arrives in 7–10 business days, never as cash, and never with the shipping fee attached.

Can I return an AJIO order if the size is wrong?
Not through the returns route if you chose that size. AJIO states it will not accept a return “if you have placed the order for a wrong product model, colour or incorrect Product”. Returns are for products that are damaged, defective, or not what was ordered. Size is handled through the separate exchange process, which AJIO allows when “the Product delivered is of different fit and/or size than the fit and/or size of Product that was ordered”, within the exchange period on the product page. Note that bags are 10-day returnable but marked “Exchange not available”.
How long does an AJIO refund take?
7 to 10 business days from the point AJIO approves the refund, credited to the payment method you used or to your AJIO Wallet if you choose it. For cash-on-delivery orders the refund goes to the AJIO Wallet or a bank account you provide — the policy states plainly that “we do not make any cash refunds”. The refund does not include shipping charges or the convenience fee unless the product was non-compliant, and for jewellery or watches it is processed only after the item reaches the brand showroom or verification centre.
What can't be returned on AJIO?
AJIO's non-returnable list includes swimwear, fragrances and deodorants, home fragrances, hair care, innerwear (other than bras), shaving, skin care, makeup, beauty and care, idols and coins, mobiles and accessories, music and entertainment, gadgets and appliances, tech accessories, smart wearables, bath and laundry, decor and gifting, home needs, kitchen and dining, beauty appliances, some night and loungewear, gloves, masks and handkerchiefs, and parts of baby care. Laptop bags and ‘Made to Order’ products are also excluded. Non-returnable items can still be returned where there is a defect or deficiency accepted by AJIO.
Can I cancel an AJIO order after placing it?
Only up to a point. AJIO allows full or partial cancellation before the order is packed and the invoice generated, with the refund initiated within 10 business days. Once the order has been packed and invoiced, the policy states cancellation is not allowed, and an email asking for one after that point will be directed to the returns process instead. Cancellation requests go through the Self Care section on AJIO or customercare@ajio.com.
