AJIO Juttis and Mojaris Under Rs. 1,000: Prices, September 2026

Three of the juttis and mojaris from this September 2026 read of AJIO listings - a black embroidered men's jutti, a grey embroidered pair and an embellished women's jutti - shown as they appear on their AJIO listing pages
Zoutons Picks — AJIO, September 2026

Twenty-four juttis and mojaris read on 18 September. Only twelve of the seventy-eight listings we pulled will tell you what the shoe is made of.

Prices & codes last verified September 18, 2026

We read AJIO's jutti, mojari and ethnic footwear listings on 18 September 2026 and seated 24 of the 78 that returned both a price and an MRP. Fifty-three sell under Rs. 1,000. The discount claims run from 1 to 83 per cent, but the number that matters is 12: that is how many of the 78 listings say what the upper is made of. On a shoe where leather stretches to your foot and synthetic never does, 66 sellers leave you to guess - and the four that state leather carry the shelf's smallest badges.

Every price below was pulled from AJIO on September 18, 2026 and checked against the MRP on the listing. Stack them with the live codes on our AJIO coupons page, which the deals desk re-verifies daily.

“The cheapest pair here that states leather costs Rs. 764. Three pairs that state synthetic cost more.” Zoutons Editorial Team

Four rules for buying juttis and mojaris on AJIO

First: look for the word 'leather' in the product title, and if it is not there, assume it is not leather. Only 12 of the 78 listings we read state a material, and the shoe is the material - a leather jutti moulds to your foot over three or four wearings, a synthetic one hurts in the same spot forever. Second: read the badge as a fact about the seller. The four stated-leather listings claim a median 54.5 per cent, the brands with their own shops claim 40 to 52, and the loudest claims on the shelf - 83, 82, 82 per cent - all come from sellers whose stated MRPs cluster on round numbers like Rs. 1,400, Rs. 2,999 and Rs. 4,000. Third: search the exact product name before paying. One seller here lists the identical words at Rs. 270 and Rs. 1,484. Fourth: buy traditional juttis slightly snug if they state leather, because leather gives; buy synthetic pairs in your true size, because they do not.

What we skipped — and why

What we skipped, and why: our pull returned 78 listings across three ethnic-footwear searches, and the largest group left out was repetition within single sellers. JM LOOKS returned nine listings, FAUSTO nine, Indie Picks eight, Nyrika seven, DFR six and DESICOLOUR five; we seated between one and three of each, choosing the listings that marked the ends of a seller's price or badge range rather than the whole run - except for the three Nyrika listings sharing one product name, which are all here deliberately. We left out Shoetopia, STYLESTRY, SWELIT ATELIER, Acai, H.M. LADIES FOOTWEAR, V WALK, ERIDANI, XE LOOKS, EL PASO and the second Fulkari, where the listing repeated a pattern already shown on this page. Every listing whose photograph duplicated one already used was dropped. Nothing was excluded for an inflated MRP, and nothing was excluded for a missing rating, because no listing on this shelf has one.

What we look for

We sort the shelf by whether the listing says what the shoe is made of

On ethnic footwear the upper material is the whole purchase: leather stretches to your foot and lasts years, synthetic never stretches and cracks at the flex line. Only 12 of the 78 listings we read state a material at all - four say leather, eight say synthetic or faux leather, and 66 say nothing. That silence, not the discount column, is the useful finding, and it runs from the Rs. 252 mojari at the bottom of the shelf to the Rs. 2,720 jutti at the top.

We compare the badges the two declared groups carry

The four listings that state leather post a median discount claim of 54.5 per cent. The eight that state synthetic post 70. And the cheapest stated-leather pair in the read, a Catbird men's jutti at Rs. 764, undercuts three of the stated-synthetic listings on the same page. Where the shelf is honest about material, it is also quieter about price - and the money buys more.

We name the three listings that share a product name and an MRP

Nyrika lists 'Nyrika Women Embroidered Flat Juttis' three times in our pull, all against a stated Rs. 1,499, at Rs. 270, Rs. 300 and Rs. 1,484 - a spread of 5.5 times on identical words. All three are seated so a reader can see the spread rather than take it on trust. We cannot tell from listing data whether these are three products or one, and nothing improper is alleged; the practical instruction is to search the exact product name before paying.

We say plainly that this shelf publishes no ratings at all

AJIO returned no rating and no rating count on any of the 78 listings we read. There is no feedback layer on this category - nothing from anyone who has worn a pair - which is why this page is built on what the listings state and what the sellers' pricing behaviour shows, and why no rating pill appears anywhere on it.

We do not repeat construction claims we cannot check

Nothing on this page was worn, flexed or tested. 'Leather', 'synthetic upper', 'faux leather', 'handcrafted', 'hand embroidered' and every traditional-form name are the sellers' own listing text, quoted as such. Where a material claim is the reason to buy - the Catbird and TEAKWOOD listings - we name the listing making the claim rather than asserting the hide ourselves.

FAQs

Are the 80 per cent discounts on AJIO juttis real?

Treat them as arithmetic over two numbers the seller chose. In our 18 September 2026 read the median discount claim across 78 listings was 68 per cent, and the loudest - 83 per cent on a DFR jutti at Rs. 509 - came from a seller whose six listings state only two MRP values, Rs. 2,499 and Rs. 2,999. By contrast, INC 5, a chain with its own stores, claims exactly 40 per cent on both its listings, and Catbird never exceeds 49 per cent across four. The clearest single case is Nyrika, which lists the identical product name at Rs. 270 and at Rs. 1,484, both against a stated Rs. 1,499. Displaying a stated MRP is lawful; it is simply not evidence of a saving.

Which juttis should I actually buy on AJIO?

On what the listings are willing to state, the Catbird men's leather ethnic jutti at Rs. 764 and the Catbird women's leather slip-on at Rs. 831 - the two cheapest listings in the entire read that state leather, at 49 and 48 per cent badges against plausible MRPs of Rs. 1,499 and Rs. 1,599. Both undercut several pairs on the same shelf that state synthetic. If the budget is under Rs. 500, the JM LOOKS jutti at Rs. 479 is the cheapest pair that tells you what it is made of, and what it is made of is synthetic.

What is the difference between a jutti, a mojari and a nagra?

They are closely related traditional Indian slip-ons and the words are often used interchangeably on listings. A jutti is the flat, closed-toe embroidered slipper associated with Punjab, with no left-right distinction in traditional pairs. A mojari is the broader Rajasthani and north Indian form, usually with a slightly more structured sole. A nagra is the men's version with a distinctly curled or upturned toe - the LOUIS STITCH listing at Rs. 2,039 here is one. In practice sellers on this shelf apply all three words loosely, and none of them tells you the material.

Is a leather jutti worth paying more for than a synthetic one?

On this shelf you often do not have to pay more. The cheapest stated-leather listing in our read, a Catbird men's jutti at Rs. 764, is cheaper than the SHEZONE synthetic jutti at Rs. 860 and the G L TREND faux-leather slip-on at Rs. 870. Where leather does cost more - the TEAKWOOD mojaris at Rs. 1,813 and Rs. 1,960 - the case depends on use: leather stretches to the shape of your foot and softens, synthetic never stretches and cracks at the flex line across the toe. For two functions a year, synthetic is enough. For regular wear it is not. We have not tested any pair; these are the sellers' own material claims.

Why does AJIO not show ratings on ethnic footwear?

We can only report what we found: none of the 78 listings in our read published a rating or a rating count, which is consistent with other AJIO shelves rather than specific to this category. The effect is that ethnic footwear on AJIO offers no feedback layer at all - no averages, no counts, nothing from anyone who has worn a pair. With sizing in this category being as unforgiving as it is, that is a real gap, and it is the reason this page leans on stated materials and seller pricing behaviour instead.

More AJIO coverage on Zoutons

How Zoutons picks deals Zoutons may earn a commission when you buy through links on this page. Every selling price, MRP and discount badge here was read on 18 September 2026 from AJIO's own search data for the queries 'juttis women', 'mojari men' and 'ethnic footwear', in India. Seventy-eight listings returned both a selling price and a stated MRP and 24 are seated, chosen to span the material-declaration groups and each seller's price range, after removing every listing whose product photograph duplicated one already used. AJIO published no rating and no rating count on any of the 78 listings, so no rating pill appears anywhere on this page and nothing here has been vouched for by a buyer. The counts of listings stating leather, synthetic or nothing are our own tally of the product titles AJIO returned, and a seller may describe materials elsewhere on a product page that our pull did not read. An MRP is the figure the listing displays and we have not verified that any pair sold at it, so every percentage here is arithmetic over two numbers the seller chose rather than a measured saving. Where one seller's identical product name appears at several prices against one stated MRP, we report what our pull returned and draw no conclusion about why - we cannot tell from listing data whether those are separate products or duplicate entries, no wrongdoing by any brand, seller or platform named here is alleged or implied, marketplaces accumulate duplicate listings as a matter of routine, and displaying a stated MRP is lawful. The grouping of brands by whether they operate their own retail in India is our own characterisation based on those brands' publicly known presence. Materials, hand-work and traditional form names are the sellers' listing text and were not verified; nothing here was worn, flexed or tested. Prices change without notice and can differ at checkout after coupons or bank offers; re-check before paying.
