AJIO Candle and Cushion Cover Prices September 2026: From Rs. 95

We read AJIO's own search API for four home categories on 26 September 2026 — candles, vases, cushion covers and home decor — and got 166 distinct listings with full prices, stated MRPs and discount badges. Not one of the 166 publishes a rating. No star average, no rating count, no reviews.

This is not a scraping gap; it is how AJIO's catalogue is built. We read Myntra's decor shelf the same morning and 62 of its 96 decor listings published a rating, the best-rated of them carrying 4,536. On AJIO there is nothing of the kind to read on any product on this shelf.

Which changes what a price page can usefully do. With no feedback signal at all, the only two things distinguishing one AJIO candle from another are the cash price and the brand name on it — so below we set out both: the brand-by-brand badge ladder, the candle price ladder from Rs. 95 up, and what a cushion cover costs per piece rather than per listing.

Fourteen brands have four or more listings in this read, and their discount badges sort them almost perfectly into two groups. Home Centre sits at a median 10% off across 15 listings, Arte Casa at 29%, Fabindia at 31%, CHUMBAK at 44%. At the other end Cortina Eyelet Curtain runs at 71% across ten listings, Aromaticfables at 70%, Memoir at 70% and Habere India at 68% across 15.

The first group is the shop-floor group: Home Centre is Landmark's own label, Fabindia and CHUMBAK are established retail brands, Arte Casa is a house label. The second group prices against reference figures several times what it charges — Habere India's ceramic vases at Rs. 3,224 and Rs. 3,529 against stated MRPs of Rs. 10,399 and Rs. 9,049, Cortina's sofa cover at Rs. 760 against Rs. 3,999.

AJIO's ceiling is still modest by marketplace standards: 5.26x. Myntra's decor shelf reached 8.02x the same morning and Flipkart's wall shelf aisle 14.27x. Only four of AJIO's 166 listings are badged 80% or more, while 15 are at 10% or less. A stated MRP is what the seller declares, so these are observations about declared numbers rather than findings about anyone's conduct.

The candle shelf is the clearest illustration. The cheapest candle in the read is Fabindia's Gardenia wax pillar at Rs. 95, badged 40%. The dearest is CHUMBAK's etched metal candle at Rs. 649, badged 35%. In between, a Rs. 252 atorakushon two-pack carries a 79% badge and a Rs. 629 Fabindia pillar carries 10%.

Sort the shelf by badge and you get a completely different order from sorting it by price, and neither order tells you anything about wax type, weight, burn time or fragrance strength — none of which appear consistently in the titles. What the titles do give you is the number of pieces, and there the cheap end is real: EBLOOMING's set of 12 floating candles at Rs. 279 and AROMAHPURE's votive set at Rs. 175 are the only multi-piece candle listings under Rs. 300.

Median candle price on this shelf is Rs. 333. Four CHUMBAK tin candles share one price and one stated MRP (Rs. 333 against Rs. 595) and four Aromaticfables jar candles share another (Rs. 350 against Rs. 1,166) — different scents at identical prices, which is ordinary practice and, with no ratings anywhere, the only way to tell them apart is the label.

Cushion and sofa covers are sold both singly and in sets here, and the titles state which. Divide by the piece count and the rate runs from Rs. 105 a cover to Rs. 2,159, with a median of Rs. 540.

The cheapest rate belongs to Urbanarts' four-piece satin pillow cover set at Rs. 420, and its two-piece set at Rs. 320 works out at Rs. 160 each. Haus & Kinder's five-piece cotton duck set at Rs. 999 is Rs. 200 a cover and TANLOOMS' five-piece set at Rs. 1,236 is Rs. 247 — all four of those sets cost less per cover than any single cover in the read except one.

The dear end is mostly sofa covers rather than cushion covers, which is a different product sold in the same search: Cortina's five-piece microfiber chenille set at Rs. 920, its three-seater at Rs. 1,340 and Stylista's velvet premium cover at Rs. 2,159, the last of those at only 10% off its stated MRP. Fabric weight, fit and whether a cover stretches are not in these titles and not in this arithmetic.

One last pattern worth knowing when there are no ratings to disambiguate anything. Cortina's self-design one-seater sofa cover appears three times in this read, every copy at Rs. 760 against a stated Rs. 3,999, the titles differing only in whether they say "Durable" or "Set".

The same shape repeats across the shelf: four Aromaticfables jar candles at Rs. 350, four CHUMBAK tin candles at Rs. 333, three Urbanarts two-piece pillow cover listings at Rs. 320, three SAF wall-art pairs at Rs. 379. In each group the price and stated MRP are identical and only colour, print or scent differs.

On a shelf with ratings, a shopper could tell which variant people actually bought. Here they cannot. Listing variants separately is ordinary practice and no allegation is made against AJIO or any seller; the practical consequence is only that a page of results contains fewer distinct choices than it appears to.
