AbhiBus is running a Diwali bus sale through November. The headline rate and the rate most readers will actually get are different numbers, and AbhiBus publishes both.

📅 Update log:
4 November 2026: first published. Read from AbhiBus's own offer payload on abhibus.com/bus-ticket-offers, logged out, from India. The DIWALI code window (2–30 November 2026), the new-user and existing-user split, every cap and minimum, and all expiry dates are AbhiBus's own published figures as they stood on that date.

AbhiBus is running a Great Indian Bus Sale – Diwali Special through November, under the code DIWALI. We read its offer data — AbhiBus's own published offer payload, the same text that renders on abhibus.com/bus-ticket-offers — on 4 November 2026, logged out, from India.

The tile says "Get up to 20% OFF on Bus Bookings". The terms underneath say who gets the 20%: "New AbhiBus users get 20% instant discount up to ₹200 + 20% cashback up to ₹200. Existing users get 6% instant discount up to ₹150 + 6% cashback up to ₹150."

So if you already have an AbhiBus account, the instant rate on this sale is 6%, and the most it can take off a fare is Rs. 150. That is still worth having — it is simply a different number from the one on the banner, and AbhiBus publishes both.

Dates, from AbhiBus's own offer record: valid from 2 November 2026 until 30 November 2026, 11:59 PM. Minimum booking value Rs. 500. Once per user, login required. Private bus operators only — "not applicable on Govt RTC buses" — and it "cannot be combined with any other offer". AbhiBus adds that it "reserves the right to modify or withdraw the offer at any time without prior notice", so check the code on the live page before you book.

New user or existing user: the two versions of the same code

On a DIWALI bookingNew AbhiBus userExisting AbhiBus user
Instant discount rate20%6%
Instant discount capRs. 200Rs. 150
Cashback rate20%6%
Cashback capRs. 200Rs. 150
Most you can take off the fare at checkoutRs. 200Rs. 150
Fare at which the cap bitesRs. 1,000 (20% of Rs. 1,000 = Rs. 200)Rs. 2,500 (6% of Rs. 2,500 = Rs. 150)

The two rows worth sitting with are the last two. Because both the rate and the cap differ, the fare at which you stop gaining anything differs too.

For a new user, 20% of a Rs. 1,000 fare is Rs. 200, which is the cap — so above roughly Rs. 1,000, the instant discount stops growing. For an existing user, 6% reaches the Rs. 150 cap at roughly Rs. 2,500. Below that, an existing user's discount is 6% of whatever they are paying.

And the cashback half is not money off the ticket. AbhiBus states: "Cashback will be credited to the AbhiBus wallet as per standard cashback terms." It is usable on a future AbhiBus booking, which is a real benefit and a different one from a lower price today. This page describes it as wallet credit everywhere, because that is what AbhiBus calls it.

If you have never booked on AbhiBus, compare DIWALI against ABHIFIRST before you apply either. ABHIFIRST is "exclusively for new users on their first booking" at 15% up to Rs. 150 off plus 15% up to Rs. 225 cashback; DIWALI gives a new user 20% up to Rs. 200 off plus 20% up to Rs. 200 cashback. Neither can be combined with the other — both state they cannot be used with any other offer — so it is one choice, not two.

The rest of the November offer shelf, with its caps and its dates

Twenty-nine live offers came back in this read. What follows is the set that carries a code, a stated cap and a stated expiry, in AbhiBus's own numbers. Every expiry below is the offer's own published end date as it stood on 4 November 2026.

Two card codes that cancel each other out by day of the week

This is the oddest thing in the November shelf, and it is worth knowing if you hold both cards.

RBL300 — 10% up to Rs. 300 with an RBL Bank credit card, minimum Rs. 1,500 — carries the condition: "This offer is valid for all days except Thursday & Friday."

SBICAB — flat Rs. 200 off with an SBI credit card, minimum Rs. 2,000 — carries the opposite: "The coupon code is valid only for payments made on Thursday or Friday during the offer period."

So the two never overlap. On a Monday the RBL card is the one with an offer; on a Thursday it is the SBI card. SBICAB adds two further limits: "Discount is applicable once per SBI Credit Card, per month during the offer period" and "The coupon is applicable on only selective Bin cards" — so not every SBI credit card qualifies. RBL300 is likewise "Valid on select RBL Bank Credit Cards only".

Neither can be combined with the Diwali code, since each states it "cannot be combined with any other offer". On a Rs. 2,000 private-bus fare booked on a Thursday by an existing user, SBICAB's flat Rs. 200 is larger than DIWALI's 6% (Rs. 120) — which is the kind of comparison worth doing at checkout rather than assuming the festival code wins.

Government bus bookings are a separate set of codes

DIWALI, ABHIFIRST, ASSURED and RBL300 all exclude state transport buses in their own words — "valid only on private bus operators; not applicable on Govt RTC buses", or the same thought in slightly different wording.

AbhiBus runs a parallel set of codes for the state corporations, and several of them carry larger rupee caps than the festival code does. These are the ones published with codes and caps in this read.

What to do before you apply a code

  • Work out whether you are a new user or an existing one first. On DIWALI that is the difference between 20% and 6%, and between a Rs. 200 cap and a Rs. 150 one.
  • Check that your operator is private. The festival code and most of the card codes exclude government RTC buses, which have their own set.
  • Check the minimum. DIWALI needs Rs. 500, ASSURED Rs. 300, RBL300 Rs. 1,500 and SBICAB Rs. 2,000.
  • Check the day of the week if you are paying by card. RBL300 is excluded on Thursday and Friday; SBICAB works only on Thursday and Friday.
  • Do the arithmetic on your actual fare rather than taking the headline. A flat Rs. 200 beats 6% on anything under about Rs. 3,300.
  • Treat the cashback as wallet credit, because that is what it is. AbhiBus credits it to the AbhiBus wallet "as per standard cashback terms".
  • Expect to log in and expect one use. DIWALI states "can be availed only once per user. Login is required."
  • Verify the code on the live page before booking. AbhiBus states on essentially every offer that it "reserves the right to disqualify any transaction or discontinue the offer promotion at any time without notice".

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the AbhiBus Great Indian Bus Sale 2026 coupon code and when does it end?
The code is DIWALI, and AbhiBus's own offer record runs it from 2 November 2026 until 30 November 2026, 11:59 PM. AbhiBus titles it "Great Indian Bus Sale – Diwali Special" and headlines it as "up to 20% OFF on Bus Bookings". A minimum booking value of Rs. 500 applies, it can be used once per user, login is required, and it is valid only on private bus operators — "not applicable on Govt RTC buses". It cannot be combined with any other offer. Read 4 November 2026; AbhiBus "reserves the right to modify or withdraw the offer at any time without prior notice", so check the live page.
Do existing AbhiBus users get the full 20% off in the Diwali sale?
No — existing users get 6%. AbhiBus's own terms for the DIWALI code read: "New AbhiBus users get 20% instant discount up to ₹200 + 20% cashback up to ₹200. Existing users get 6% instant discount up to ₹150 + 6% cashback up to ₹150." So the most an existing user can take off a fare at checkout under this code is Rs. 150, reached at a fare of about Rs. 2,500. The cashback half is credited to the AbhiBus wallet, not to your card: "Cashback will be credited to the AbhiBus wallet as per standard cashback terms." Tiering an offer this way is ordinary promotional practice and AbhiBus publishes the split in its own terms.
Which AbhiBus code is best for a first booking?
It is a choice between DIWALI and ABHIFIRST, because neither can be combined with another offer. For a new user, DIWALI gives 20% up to Rs. 200 instant plus 20% up to Rs. 200 cashback, on a Rs. 500 minimum. ABHIFIRST is "exclusively for new users on their first booking" and gives 15% up to Rs. 150 off plus 15% up to Rs. 225 cashback, with the cashback credited "post journey completion". DIWALI has the larger instant discount; ABHIFIRST has the larger cashback cap. Both exclude SRTC buses and both require you to be logged in. ASSURED is a third option on AbhiAssured buses: 20% + 20% with Rs. 250 caps for new users, on a Rs. 300 minimum.
Can you use AbhiBus card offers on Diwali sale bookings?
No — each code states it cannot be combined with any other offer, so it is one code per booking. That makes the comparison worth doing at checkout. RBL300 gives 10% up to Rs. 300 with select RBL credit cards on a Rs. 1,500 minimum, but is "valid for all days except Thursday & Friday". SBICAB gives a flat Rs. 200 off with an SBI credit card on a Rs. 2,000 minimum, but is "valid only for payments made on Thursday or Friday", once per card per month and on "only selective Bin cards". For an existing user on a Rs. 2,000 fare, SBICAB's flat Rs. 200 beats DIWALI's 6% (Rs. 120) — if you are booking on a Thursday or Friday.
Does the AbhiBus Diwali offer work on government buses?
No. The DIWALI code states it is "valid only on private bus operators; not applicable on Govt RTC buses", and ABHIFIRST, ASSURED and RBL300 carry the same exclusion. AbhiBus runs a separate set of codes for state transport corporations, several with larger rupee caps than the festival code: UPSRTC and HRTC are published as up to Rs. 500, APSRTC, TGSRTC, KSRTC and UTC300 as up to Rs. 300, OSRTC at 20% off, GSRTC at 10% off and RJ100 for Rajasthan at 50% off. Most of those expire 31 December 2026; APSRTC's published expiry is 16 April 2027. Check each on the live page before booking.
Prices & codes last verified: November 4, 2026
Every coupon code, percentage, cap, minimum booking value, restriction and expiry date on this page was read from AbhiBus's own published offer data, served on abhibus.com/bus-ticket-offers, on 4 November 2026, logged out, from India, with nothing booked. No fare and no rupee saving is calculated here from any fare we did not see — the worked examples apply AbhiBus's own published rates and caps to a stated hypothetical fare and are labelled as such. Cashback is described throughout as credit to the AbhiBus wallet, never as money off the ticket, because that is how AbhiBus describes it. Offers expire and change without notice: AbhiBus states on essentially every offer that it "reserves the right to disqualify any transaction or discontinue the offer promotion at any time without notice or liability of whatsoever nature", and on the Diwali offer that it "reserves the right to modify or withdraw the offer at any time without prior notice". Verify any code on the live AbhiBus page before booking. Card offers depend on the issuing bank's own terms, on card BINs and on eligibility we cannot check. Nothing here alleges wrongdoing by AbhiBus or by any bank or operator named — offering new customers a deeper rate than existing ones is ordinary promotional practice, and AbhiBus publishes both rates in its own terms.
