The discount climbs from 26% to 51% as the stated MRP climbs. The price you actually pay stays around Rs. 1,140. Four products within Rs. 89 of each other carry badges 40 points apart.
We read 264 in-stock products from Nykaa Fashion's own category API on July 28, across both the women's and men's trees, and the discount badge follows one rule with no exceptions we could find: it climbs with the stated MRP. Products listed under Rs. 1,000 averaged 26.4% off. Between Rs. 1,000 and Rs. 1,999, 40.0%. Between Rs. 2,000 and Rs. 3,499, 48.1%. Between Rs. 3,500 and Rs. 5,999, 50.9%. Above Rs. 6,000, 51.3%. Five bands, five steps, in perfect order — which means the percentage is arithmetic performed on the reference price rather than a signal about the garment. The second half of the finding is the useful one: while the badges spread out, the prices converge. The median price across our whole pull was Rs. 1,140, and moving from the Rs. 1,000-Rs. 1,999 MRP band to the Rs. 2,000-Rs. 3,499 one shifts the median actually paid from Rs. 990 to Rs. 1,360. So a stated MRP more than twice as high is buying you about Rs. 370 of real difference. Chapter Three makes this as concrete as we can: four products priced within Rs. 89 of each other, carrying badges of 74%, 71%, 50% and 34%. Repeating reference prices are everywhere once you look — six PIMU dresses at exactly Rs. 800 against exactly Rs. 3,999, five Jack & Jones tees at exactly Rs. 600 against Rs. 1,499, all eight Indian Garage Co products at precisely 65% off and all seven BROADSTAR items at precisely 60%. And one cross-check we could make because we read a second store the same day: both Voyage sunglasses here list against Rs. 3,000, the identical figure that all ten Voyage frames in our AJIO pull carried. The practical conclusion is simple — sort by price, read the fabric line, and treat the percentage as decoration. Our Nykaa Fashion app offer page covers the concession that does move the price.
Every price below was pulled from Nykaa Fashion on July 28, 2026 and checked against the MRP on the listing. Stack them with the live codes on our Nykaa Fashion coupons page, which the deals desk re-verifies daily.
Four picks from Rs. 154 to Rs. 600 at 89%, 70%, 67% and 60% off. The deepest cuts in our pull sit on the cheapest things in it, because the badge is arithmetic performed on the reference price.

Why it earned its spot Rs. 3,000 stated MRP, identical to the figure the brand uses on other marketplaces.
Rs. 800 at 80% off — one of six identical-priced PIMU dresses, all against Rs. 3,999.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 800 against Rs. 3,999, a pairing repeated on six dresses in our pull.
Rs. 874 at 54% off — a buffalo-check regular fit, the roomiest shirt cut here.

Four picks within Rs. 89 of each other, carrying badges of 74%, 71%, 50% and 34%. Same money, wildly different percentages — which is the clearest proof on this page that the badge describes the MRP.
Rs. 910 at 74% off — a zip-up gym jacket for under a thousand rupees.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 910 for a training jacket, the cheapest activewear layer in our picks.
Rs. 957 at 71% off — a printed midi dress for under a thousand rupees.

Rs. 999 at 50% off — flare pants with a genuine hidden back pocket, from a specialist.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 999 for the only activewear here with a stated functional pocket.
Five picks starting exactly at the store's midpoint. The median price across all 264 products we read was Rs. 1,140, so everything from here on is in the more expensive half of Nykaa Fashion.
Rs. 1,092 at 58% off — a floral V-neck midi from an established Indian womenswear label.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 1,092, just below the store's median price of Rs. 1,140.
Rs. 1,128 at 53% off — a striped shirt from a brand that sells mostly direct.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 1,128 from a direct-to-consumer brand, at a mid-range badge.
Rs. 1,107 at 10% off — the house lingerie label, at a tenth of the discount of the dresses above.
Why it earned its spot Ten percent, the smallest badge among the picks under Rs. 1,200.
Rs. 2,000 at 60% off — loose-fit jeans from a real denim label, at a flat two thousand.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 2,000 exactly, the cheapest branded loose-fit denim in our picks.
Rs. 2,099 at 64% off — an embroidered flared midi, measured against Rs. 5,899.
Why it earned its spot Sixty-four percent off the highest MRP among our sub-Rs. 2,500 picks.
Three picks at 50%, 68% and 15% off. The last two cost within Rs. 500 of each other and their badges are fifty-three points apart, because one is measured against Rs. 11,500 and the other against Rs. 4,895.
Rs. 2,400 at 50% off — high-rise straight-fit denim from another Bestseller label.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 2,400 for high-rise straight denim, at a mid-range badge.
Rs. 3,680 at 68% off — measured against Rs. 11,500, the highest reference price in this article.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 11,500 stated MRP, the largest reference price among our 21 picks.
Rs. 4,161 at 15% off — the dearest pick here and the smallest discount, on a real running shoe.
Why it earned its spot Fifteen percent, the smallest badge across all 21 picks.
If the badge tracks the MRP band rather than the value, the levers are elsewhere. First: sort by price, not by discount. On this store the two sorts return almost the same order at the cheap end and completely different orders at the expensive end, and only one of them tells you what leaves your account. Second: the flat concessions matter far more than the percentages at these prices. On a Rs. 900 top, an extra 10% app discount or a flat coupon is worth more than moving between two tiles whose badges differ by thirty points — our app-only extra 10% page and the extra 15% coupon coverage track what is live. Third: on brands with flat rules — Indian Garage Co at 65%, BROADSTAR at 60%, PIMU at Rs. 800 — nothing is expiring, so there is no penalty for waiting until you actually need the shirt. Fourth: cross-check the same brand elsewhere before buying, since we found the identical Voyage MRP on two different marketplaces on one day, and the selling prices differed. Fifth, for what is genuinely moving rather than permanently marked down, our brand sale tracker and discount-depth analysis are the pages to read next.

Across the 264 products we read on July 28, the average discount rises with the stated MRP in a perfectly ordered line: 26.4% off for products listed under Rs. 1,000, then 40.0% between Rs. 1,000 and Rs. 1,999, 48.1% between Rs. 2,000 and Rs. 3,499, 50.9% between Rs. 3,500 and Rs. 5,999, and 51.3% above Rs. 6,000. Five bands, five steps, no exceptions. The badge is a function of the reference price rather than of the garment.
It converges. The median price across our whole pull was Rs. 1,140, and the median in the Rs. 2,000-Rs. 3,499 MRP band was Rs. 1,360 against Rs. 990 in the Rs. 1,000-Rs. 1,999 band — so a stated MRP more than twice as high buys a real price difference of Rs. 370. Chapter Three makes this concrete with four products within Rs. 89 of each other carrying badges of 74%, 71%, 50% and 34%.
They are everywhere once you look. Six PIMU dresses at exactly Rs. 800 against exactly Rs. 3,999. Five Jack & Jones tees at exactly Rs. 600 against Rs. 1,499. All eight Indian Garage Co products at precisely 65% off, and all seven BROADSTAR items at precisely 60%. And a cross-check we could make because we read another store the same day: both Voyage frames here carry a stated MRP of Rs. 3,000, the identical figure all ten Voyage frames in our AJIO pull carried.
Composition, cut, rise, arch support, pocket design and sole type — each stated in the spec strip, each checkable, and none of them a percentage. Where a listing did not state what we were judging it on we left it out. Nykaa Fashion's category API returned no customer ratings for any product in this pull, so nothing on this page carries a rating pill and we have not substituted a score of our own. Prices read July 28, 2026.
Because the discount is calculated from the stated MRP, and the MRP band is what varies. In our July 28 pull of 264 products the average discount climbed in five clean steps as the MRP rose — 26.4% under Rs. 1,000, then 40.0%, 48.1%, 50.9% and 51.3% — while the price actually paid barely moved, with a median of Rs. 1,140 across the whole store. A high reference price manufactures a big percentage. It does not indicate a better garment, and it does not mean you are saving more.
Rs. 1,140 across the 264 in-stock products we read on July 28. That figure is more useful than any badge on the site, because it tells you what the store actually is: half of everything it sells right now costs less than about Rs. 1,150, regardless of what MRPs of Rs. 3,999 or Rs. 5,899 appear above the tiles. If you are budgeting, plan around Rs. 1,000 to Rs. 1,500 for a dress or a shirt and treat anything meaningfully above that as a deliberate step up.
Some plainly are and some are clearly platform-level settings. The tell is repetition. Six PIMU dresses in our pull carried the identical Rs. 3,999 against an identical Rs. 800 selling price; five Jack & Jones tees carried Rs. 1,499 against Rs. 600. And both Voyage sunglasses here list against Rs. 3,000 — the same figure all ten Voyage frames carried in a separate AJIO pull we made the same day. At the other end, Nykd by Nykaa, sold almost only here, sits at 10% off a Rs. 1,229 reference.
Several, and knowing them removes any urgency. All eight Indian Garage Co products in our pull sat at exactly 65% off against eight different MRPs, and all seven BROADSTAR items at exactly 60%. Six PIMU dresses were at exactly Rs. 800 and five Jack & Jones tees at exactly Rs. 600. A discount that holds constant across a brand is a pricing rule rather than a sale, which means it is not expiring and there is no penalty for waiting until you actually need the item.
Fabric composition, cut and rise, in that order, and then the price. Polyester crepe drapes beautifully and does not breathe, which is why a lot of Rs. 1,000 midi dresses photograph better than they wear in August. Oversized is a cut and not an invitation to size up. High rise stays where you put it; slim fit does not forgive lunch. Every pick on this page states the specification it was chosen on, because those are the things that differ between two items you will pay the same money for.
