Six Myntra shelves, 203 listings, all read within an hour on the morning of 28 September 2026. The median discount badge runs from 11.5% on men's grooming to 62% on home furnishing.
The tempting reading is that some categories discount harder than others. Half of it is true. The other half is that three of these six medians belong to one seller that has filled the shelf with tiles - and on the storage shelf, stripping that seller out moves the median from 14% to 79%. Below: who holds what, why the same shelves have almost no ratings, and where the real bargains sit.
📅 Update log:
28 September 2026 — first published. All 203 listings were read the same morning from myntra.com's own listing payload for /home-furnishing, /kitchen-dining, /bath, /storage, /men-innerwear and /mens-grooming, logged out, in India, with nothing purchased, deduped on Myntra's own product id. Every price, stated MRP, badge, star average and rating count on this page was read on that date.
Six Myntra aisles, one morning, and a badge that runs 11.5% to 62%
Everything below was read from myntra.com's own listing data on the morning of 28 September 2026 - 203 listings across six non-apparel shelves, logged out, in India, with nothing purchased. Home furnishing shows a median discount badge of 62%. Men's grooming, in the same shop on the same morning, shows 11.5%.
That is a wide spread, and the obvious explanation - different categories discount differently - turns out to be only half true. Three of these six medians are not really describing an aisle. They are describing one seller that has filled the aisle with tiles.
The storage shelf is the clearest case. Its median badge is 14%, the second-shallowest on this page. But 25 of its 32 listings belong to a single brand, and the other seven have a median badge of 79%. Both numbers are true; only one of them describes what is on sale.
| Myntra shelf, read 28 Sep 2026 | Listings | Median price | Median stated MRP | Median badge | Listings publishing a rating |
|---|
| Home furnishing | 47 | Rs. 499 | Rs. 1,400 | 62% | 35 of 47 |
| Bath | 28 | Rs. 480 | Rs. 799 | 51% | 25 of 28 |
| Kitchen & dining | 32 | Rs. 583 | Rs. 1,399 | 33% | 3 of 32 |
| Men's innerwear | 32 | Rs. 408 | Rs. 798 | 18.5% | 28 of 32 |
| Storage | 32 | Rs. 751 | Rs. 1,250 | 14% | 3 of 32 |
| Men's grooming | 32 | Rs. 393 | Rs. 398 | 11.5% | 18 of 32 |
One seller holds 25 of the 32 storage listings
On the storage shelf, 25 of 32 listings are ARMORO. Between them they carry three product names - Storage Bag Clearview RH18, Storage Bag Canvas RH18 and Storage Bag Airflow RH18 - spread across 25 tiles at nine different prices from Rs. 644 to Rs. 1,368.
Every one of those 25 badges sits between 9% and 15%. Seventeen of them are exactly 14%. So the shelf's 14% median is not a category behaviour, it is one seller's pricing rule reproduced 25 times. The seven listings that are not ARMORO have a median badge of 79%, with a range of 50% to 89% - a completely different shelf hiding behind the same median.
The kitchen and dining shelf does the same thing more bluntly. SWASUM holds 11 of its 32 listings under a single product name, and all eleven are priced at exactly Rs. 399 with exactly 33% off. Eleven identical tiles. Take them out and the other 21 listings have a median badge of 57% rather than 33%.
| Shelf | Listings held by one seller | That seller's badge | Median badge with them | Median badge without them |
|---|
| Storage | ARMORO, 25 of 32 | 9% to 15% | 14% | 79% |
| Kitchen & dining | SWASUM, 11 of 32 | 33% on all eleven | 33% | 57% |
| Men's grooming | VETONI, 13 of 32 | 0% on eight, 3% on five | 11.5% | 24% |
| Home furnishing | none above 5 listings | — | 62% | 62% |
| Bath | none above 4 listings | — | 51% | 51% |
| Men's innerwear | none above 5 listings | — | 18.5% | 18.5% |
The one-line version: a category median on a marketplace is an average over tiles, not over products. If one seller has posted 25 of the 32 tiles, the median is that seller's price list. Sorting a shelf by discount will not show you this, and neither will the shelf itself — you have to count the brand names.
The filled aisles are also the aisles nobody has rated
There is a second signal that lines up almost exactly with the first, and it is visible on every tile. Storage publishes a customer rating on 3 of its 32 listings. Kitchen and dining publishes on 3 of 32. Those are the two shelves a single seller has filled.
The counts behind those few ratings are tiny: storage's median rating count is 8 and its largest is 39; kitchen's median is 17 and its largest is 20. On the same site the same morning, men's innerwear publishes a rating on 28 of 32 listings at a median of 3,481 - and its largest single count is 64,772, on a Levi's two-pack at Rs. 383.
Home furnishing and bath sit in between and behave normally: 35 of 47 and 25 of 28 rated, at medians of 370 and 239, with peaks of 31,675 and 22,379. So the aisles where real customers have accumulated is also where the assortment is genuinely varied - and where the discounts are deepest.
| Shelf | Listings publishing a rating | Median rating count | Largest count |
|---|
| Men's innerwear | 28 of 32 | 3,481 | 64,772 |
| Home furnishing | 35 of 47 | 370 | 31,675 |
| Men's grooming | 18 of 32 | 302 | 3,848 |
| Bath | 25 of 28 | 239 | 22,379 |
| Kitchen & dining | 3 of 32 | 17 | 20 |
| Storage | 3 of 32 | 8 | 39 |
Where the honest bargains on these shelves actually are
Home furnishing is the deepest-discounting shelf here and it is not a single-seller artefact - its biggest brand has five listings out of 47. The range runs Rs. 113 to Rs. 1,999 with a median of Rs. 499 against a median stated MRP of Rs. 1,400, and the deepest badges are real assortment: a reversible king bedsheet at Rs. 999 against a stated Rs. 9,000, and an Aura 180 TC king bedsheet with two pillow covers at Rs. 299 against Rs. 2,499.
Men's grooming is the shallowest shelf on the page, and the reason is instructive. VETONI's thirteen listings are priced Rs. 280 to Rs. 500 with eight of them at 0% off and five at 3% - it is simply not a discounting seller. The rest of the shelf, including Gillette's seven listings, runs at a 24% median. Note also that grooming has the smallest gap between price and stated MRP anywhere here: a median Rs. 393 against a median stated MRP of Rs. 398.
Men's innerwear is the one shelf where a small badge means something solid. Eleven of its 32 listings are at 0% off - and those include Jockey briefs at Rs. 219 and Rs. 225 carrying 55,107 and 15,286 ratings. A brand with tens of thousands of published ratings selling at its own stated price is a different proposition from a brand nobody has rated selling at 14% off.
Before you buy from a shelf like this: scroll and count how many different brand names you can see. If one name is on most of the tiles, the shelf's discount percentage is that seller's habit, and the rating counts will usually confirm it — on Myntra's storage shelf, 29 of 32 listings had no published rating at all.
What we would actually do
Buy the home-furnishing and bath shelves on price, because the assortment there is wide and the feedback is real. A median of Rs. 499 on home furnishing and Rs. 480 on bath, with 35 of 47 and 25 of 28 listings carrying published ratings, is a shelf you can navigate with the ordinary tools.
Treat the storage and kitchen shelves as a seller's catalogue rather than a market. Between them, 36 of 64 listings belong to two brands and 58 of 64 publish no rating at all. The prices may be perfectly fine - we have no view on that - but the discount badge and the aisle median are telling you nothing you can act on, so compare the rupee price against the same item elsewhere.
And do not read a small badge as a bad deal. The shallowest numbers on this page sit on Jockey briefs at 0% off with 55,107 ratings behind them and on a grooming brand that never discounts. The deepest number on the page, 89%, sits on a bedsheet against a stated MRP of Rs. 9,000 that we have not verified anyone ever paid. Nothing here was bought or handled; this is a record of what Myntra listed on 28 September 2026.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which Myntra home category has the biggest discounts?
Home furnishing, by a distance, in our 28 September 2026 read. Its 47 listings had a median discount badge of 62% and a median price of Rs. 499 against a median stated MRP of Rs. 1,400, with the deepest badges on bedsheets - a reversible king bedsheet at Rs. 999 against a stated Rs. 9,000. Bath followed at 51%. The storage shelf's 14% median is misleading, because 25 of its 32 listings belong to one seller; the other seven listings had a median badge of 79%.
Why do Myntra storage listings all show about 14% off?
Because 25 of the 32 storage listings in this read were from a single brand, ARMORO, and every one of its badges sat between 9% and 15% - seventeen of them at exactly 14%. Those 25 tiles carry three product names between them at nine different prices from Rs. 644 to Rs. 1,368. So the shelf median is one seller's pricing rule repeated, not a category norm. Listing one product under several tiles is ordinary marketplace behaviour and we allege no wrongdoing by Myntra or by any seller.
Do Myntra home and kitchen products have customer ratings?
Mostly not, on two of these shelves. Storage published a rating on 3 of 32 listings (median count 8) and kitchen & dining on 3 of 32 (median 17). Home furnishing and bath were far healthier at 35 of 47 and 25 of 28, with medians of 370 and 239. For comparison, men's innerwear on the same site published a rating on 28 of 32 listings at a median of 3,481. If a shelf shows you no rating counts, the discount badge is the only signal it is giving you, and it is a weak one.
Is 0% off on Myntra a bad deal?
Not necessarily, and the men's innerwear shelf is the example. Eleven of its 32 listings were at 0% off, including Jockey briefs at Rs. 219 and Rs. 225 with 55,107 and 15,286 published ratings. A brand selling at its own stated price with tens of thousands of ratings behind it is a very different thing from an unrated brand showing 14% off. The percentage describes the gap between two numbers the seller chose; it does not describe value.
What does men's grooming cost on Myntra?
In this read, Rs. 144 to Rs. 4,868 across 32 listings with a median of Rs. 393 - and it was the shallowest-discounting shelf on the page at an 11.5% median badge, with the median stated MRP (Rs. 398) sitting just Rs. 5 above the median price. That is largely one seller: VETONI held 13 of the 32 listings, eight at 0% off and five at 3%. The other 19 listings, which include Gillette's seven, had a median badge of 24%.

Zoutons may earn a commission when you buy through links on this page. Every selling price, stated MRP, discount badge, star average and rating count was read on 28 September 2026 from myntra.com's own listing payload for the /home-furnishing, /kitchen-dining, /bath, /storage, /men-innerwear and /mens-grooming shelves, logged out, in India, with nothing purchased, and deduped on Myntra's own product id, leaving 203 distinct listings. Every count, median and range on this page describes those 203 listings on that date rather than Myntra's full catalogue, and a product sold on Myntra that did not appear in these shelves does not appear here. Listing shelves are partly personalised and change continuously, so a different reader will not see the same set. Where this page reports that one brand holds most of a shelf's listings, it is describing the tiles the shelf returned on that date and nothing more: listing one product under several tiles, at several prices, or under several names is ordinary and lawful marketplace behaviour, we have not established that any two tiles are the same physical product, and no wrongdoing by Myntra, ARMORO, SWASUM, VETONI, Milton, Aura, Jockey, Levi's, Gillette, Cortina or any other brand or seller named or unnamed is alleged or implied. An MRP is the figure the listing displays and we have not verified that any product sold at it, so every percentage here is arithmetic over two numbers the seller chose rather than a measured saving; stating a high MRP is legal and commonplace across Indian retail. Medians computed with and without a single seller are published side by side precisely so the reader can see how the figure is constructed, and neither figure is presented as the more correct one. Materials, capacities, thread counts, dimensions, pack contents and the words 'heavy-duty', 'premium', 'durable' and every other description quoted here are the listings' own printed text, reproduced as printed and not verified. We did not buy, unbox, handle, wash or use any product on this page; build quality, fabric, sizing, durability, colourfastness, food safety, warranty and returns experience have not been examined by us and no claim about them is made or implied. Rating counts reflect how long a listing has been selling as much as product quality, and marketplaces pool reviews across linked listings, so a count describes a listing rather than necessarily a single item. Product photographs are the listings' own images as published by Myntra. Prices change without notice and can differ at checkout after coupons, bank offers or delivery charges; the price shown at your checkout prevails over anything here.
