Zoutons Picks — Myntra, September 2026

Twenty-four slings, crossbodies and totes read on 17 September, sorted by the size of the badge. It describes the seller, not the bag.

Prices & codes last verified September 17, 2026

We read Myntra's sling and handbag listings on 17 September 2026 and seated 24 of the 55 that returned a price. Sorted by badge size rather than price, the shelf tells you more about sellers than bags: the brands with their own shops in India claim a median 38 per cent and three claim nothing at all, while Myntra's in-house labels claim a median 68 and the tail runs to 84. The bags at the loud end are often fine. The savings are not.

Every price below was pulled from Myntra on September 17, 2026 and checked against the MRP on the listing. Stack them with the live codes on our Myntra coupons page, which the deals desk re-verifies daily.

“Marks & Spencer charges Rs. 3,499 for a leather tote. A PU satchel on the same shelf claims a Rs. 3,999 list price and sells for Rs. 640.” Zoutons Editorial Team

Four rules for buying a bag on Myntra

First: read the badge as a fact about the seller. If the brand has shops you can walk into, its stated MRP has to survive contact with its own price tags, which is why nothing in that group here claims more than 50 per cent. A label that exists only on marketplaces can print any number it likes. Second: judge the bag at its selling price and only at its selling price. Several of the loudest listings on this page - the Rs. 687 Anouk shopper, the Rs. 703 Mast & Harbour tote - are good bags at what they cost, and would be exactly as good with no badge on them. Third: check whether a rating count is shared. Open the same bag in another colour; if the count is identical to the digit, as it is for two Bewakoof slings and two Urban Monkey slings here, it is a style-family pool. Fourth: at four figures, insist on evidence. Under Rs. 700 an unrated bag is a small bet on an obvious object. At Rs. 1,599 with five ratings, when Rs. 968 buys a sling with 2,470, it is a bad one.

What we skipped — and why

What we skipped, and why: our pull returned 55 bags across the sling bag and handbag pages, and the largest group left out was the unrated tail. Twelve listings publish no rating and no count at all, and we seated four of them - the METEAMO sling, the WildHorn half moon, the StyleCast tote and the Marks & Spencer leather tote - because each one made a point about pricing, leaving out Vesara, VRPRIME, Maisha, LAZYwindow, bagneeds, Bellissa and LARCH, where a bag with no feedback and an invented MRP gives a reader nothing to weigh. We also dropped several very thin samples, including two Puma bags with five and seven ratings, a MustHome sling with five and an F Gear sling with nine. Where a brand appeared repeatedly - DailyObjects returned ten listings and Puma six - we seated the best-evidenced few rather than the whole run, except for the two Bewakoof slings and the pooled DailyObjects crossbody, which are here deliberately. Every listing whose photograph duplicated one already used was dropped. Nothing was excluded for an inflated MRP.

What we look for

We group the shelf by the size of the discount claim, not by price

It is the one variable on this page that sorts the listings into something meaningful. The eight brands here that run their own stores in India - adidas, Converse, Puma, MANGO, Marks & Spencer, Fastrack, Lino Perros and uppercase - post a median badge of 38 per cent across our whole pull and never exceed 50. Myntra's own in-house labels post a median of 68. The rest of the shelf runs to 84. A brand with a shop window cannot print a list price its own till would contradict; a marketplace label has no such constraint.

We name the three listings that carry no discount at all

An adidas tote at Rs. 599 against a stated Rs. 599, a Marks & Spencer leather tote at Rs. 3,499 against Rs. 3,499, and a METEAMO sling at Rs. 1,648.80 against Rs. 1,648.80 to the paisa. These are the control group for every other number on this page. When a seller has nothing to gain from a crossed-out figure, it prints the price twice - and the Marks & Spencer's real Rs. 3,499 for leather sits Rs. 500 below a PU satchel's imaginary Rs. 3,999 further down the shelf.

We check whether a rating count belongs to the bag or to its family

Myntra pools ratings across a style family rather than a listing. Our pull caught it three times among the bags seated here: two Bewakoof stackable slings in black and olive both publish 4.5 from exactly 171 ratings, two Urban Monkey slings both publish 3.4 from 5, and two DailyObjects Wing crossbodies both publish 4.5 from 23. Every card carrying a pooled count says so. A large count means the style sells; it is not a verdict on the colourway in the photograph.

We say plainly where there is no evidence at all

Twelve of the 55 listings in our pull publish no rating and no rating count, and eight more publish fewer than ten ratings. Four unrated bags are seated here - the METEAMO sling, the WildHorn half moon, the StyleCast tote and the Marks & Spencer leather tote - and each card states it. We print a rating pill only where a listing carries at least 20 ratings, so the uppercase sling's 4.8 from 13 and the Converse's 3.9 from 8 appear in the text and not as a pill.

We do not repeat material or capacity claims we cannot check

Nothing on this page was carried, loaded, weighed or measured. 'PU', 'vegan leather', 'textured', 'water resistant' and every capacity figure are the sellers' own listing text, quoted as such. Only one bag in this read states leather - the Marks & Spencer tote - and the difference between stated leather at Rs. 3,499 and stated PU at Rs. 640 is the single most consequential specification on the shelf, which is why we repeat where it is claimed and never infer it where it is not.

FAQs

Are the 80 per cent discounts on Myntra bags real?

Not in the sense of money you have saved. In our 17 September 2026 read, the biggest badges belong to sellers with no shops to contradict them: a ROSS BROWN PU satchel at Rs. 640 claims 84 per cent off a stated Rs. 3,999 and a Mast & Harbour tote at Rs. 703 claims 80 per cent off Rs. 3,499. For comparison, Marks & Spencer actually charges Rs. 3,499 for a leather tote on the same shelf, with no discount on it at all. The selling price is the only number on those listings that describes anything real.

Which Myntra bag is the best value right now?

On the published evidence, the Fastrack textured structured sling at Rs. 968 - 4.7 from 2,470 ratings, the best average-and-sample combination under Rs. 1,000 in our read, from Titan's accessories brand, at a 43 per cent badge off a stated Rs. 1,699 that its own stores could charge. If you want a tote rather than a sling, the Anouk oversized shopper at Rs. 687 carries 4.5 from 7,475 ratings, and the ZOUK shoulder tote at Rs. 1,699 has the largest count on the page at 19,047.

Why do two Myntra bags in different colours show the same number of ratings?

Because Myntra pools ratings across a style family rather than attaching them to one listing. Our pull caught it three times among the bags seated here: two Bewakoof stackable slings, black and olive, both publish 4.5 from exactly 171 ratings; two Urban Monkey slings both publish 3.4 from 5; and two DailyObjects Wing crossbodies both publish 4.5 from 23. The count tells you the style sells and that buyers broadly like it. It does not tell you that this colour has been rated by that many people.

Is a PU bag worth buying, or should you pay for leather?

Only one bag in this read states leather - the Marks & Spencer structured tote at Rs. 3,499 - and everything else that states a material says PU or fabric. PU is a coated synthetic: it looks close to leather when new, weighs less, costs a fraction and eventually cracks at the fold lines rather than softening. At Rs. 577 to Rs. 703 for the structured PU totes here, that is a sensible trade. At Rs. 1,258 for a PU tote claiming a Rs. 4,199 list price, it is worth asking what the extra money is buying, because it is not material.

Why do so many Myntra bag listings have no rating?

Because the catalogue turns over faster than feedback accumulates. Twelve of the 55 listings in our pull publish no rating and no rating count at all, and another eight publish fewer than ten. New listings from small marketplace labels make up most of that group - Vesara, VRPRIME, bagneeds, Bellissa, LARCH and Maisha among them. We seated four unrated bags here because each said something about pricing, and every one of those cards states plainly that nothing is published.

More Myntra coverage on Zoutons

How Zoutons picks deals Zoutons may earn a commission when you buy through links on this page. Every selling price, MRP, discount badge, rating average and rating count here was read on 17 September 2026 from myntra.com's own listing data across the sling bag and handbag pages, logged out, in India. Fifty-five listings returned a price and an MRP and 24 are seated, chosen for price, badge size and evidence spread after removing every listing whose product photograph duplicated one already used. Rating averages are rounded to one decimal place from the figures Myntra publishes, and a rating pill is printed only where a listing carries at least 20 ratings. Where our own pull found the identical rating count on a second listing from the same brand - two Bewakoof slings, two Urban Monkey slings and two DailyObjects crossbodies - the card says so, because Myntra pools feedback across a style family; we have not audited Myntra's ratings beyond what our pull returned. An MRP is the figure the listing displays and we have not verified that any bag sold at it, so every percentage here is arithmetic over two numbers the seller chose rather than a measured saving. The grouping of brands by whether they operate their own stores in India is our own characterisation, based on those brands' publicly known retail presence, and is offered as context for their pricing rather than as an allegation about any seller; no wrongdoing by any brand, label or platform named here is alleged or implied, and displaying a manufacturer's stated MRP is lawful. Materials, capacities and water-resistance claims are the sellers' listing text and were not verified - nothing here was carried, loaded, weighed or measured. Prices change without notice and can differ at checkout after coupons or bank offers; re-check before paying.
