Ninety-four winter-bedding listings at one marketplace. Thirty-six of them will not tell you their fabric weight, and among the ones that do, the same 550 grams per square metre costs Rs. 1,679 and Rs. 3,706.
We read ninety-four winter-bedding listings on myntra.com on 15 September 2026 and checked each one against GSM, the grams-per-square-metre figure that is the closest thing a listing gives you to a warmth rating. Fifty-eight state one and thirty-six do not. Among those that do, the price per gram of fabric runs from Rs. 1.05 to Rs. 24.16. The clearest case sits on this page: the heaviest thing in the whole read, an 800 GSM comforter with 7,406 ratings, costs Rs. 997, while a 550 GSM blanket costs Rs. 3,706.
Every price below was pulled from Myntra on September 15, 2026 and checked against the MRP on the listing. Stack them with the live codes on our Myntra coupons page, which the deals desk re-verifies daily.

First: find the GSM before anything else, and treat its absence as information — thirty-six of the ninety-four listings we read do not state one. Second: read the number, not the adjective. Two blankets here state an identical 300 GSM, one labelled "AC room" and one "mild winter", and two Story@home dohars state an identical 150 GSM five hundred rupees apart. Third: divide price by GSM, but only compare within one bed size, because a single and a double at the same weight are different quantities of fabric. Fourth: check whether the rating count is shared. Two LA VERNE blankets on this page carry counts of 2,271 and 13,583 that each appear on a second colourway, which is one pool, not two verdicts. The same pooling showed up in our read of Myntra carpet and rug prices.

GSM is grams per square metre — the weight of the fabric, and the closest thing to a warmth rating a listing gives you. Fifty-eight of the 94 winter-bedding listings in this read state one; thirty-six do not. Where it is stated the figures run from 110 to 800. Every card on this page prints the GSM where the seller gives it and says nothing where they do not, and the two seated listings with no GSM are flagged on the card itself.
Dividing the price by the stated GSM gives a rate, and the rate is where this shelf stops making sense. Across the listings that state a figure it runs from Rs. 1.05 to Rs. 24.16 per GSM — a 23x spread. The single most striking pair on the page: an 800 GSM comforter at Rs. 997 and a 550 GSM blanket at Rs. 3,706. One important caveat, which we state on every card: GSM is weight per square metre, so this rate is only comparable between items of the same bed size, and a cotton dohar and a fleece blanket are not doing the same job at any weight.
The listing titles carry the labels and they mean genuinely different things. Forty-three of the 94 say 'AC room' (110 to 250 GSM — a summer layer under a running air conditioner), eighteen say 'mild winter' (roughly 150 to 350), sixteen say 'heavy winter' (350 to 800) and seventeen say nothing at all. Buying an AC-room blanket for a Delhi January is the most expensive mistake available on this page, and the titles make it easy to make.
Not always. Myntra pools one rating across every colourway of a product, so an identical star-and-count pair appearing on several listings is one pool, not independent evidence. Two LA VERNE blankets seated here carry counts — 2,271 and 13,583 — that each appear on a second listing in this read, so neither card shows a star pill and both say why. A pill appears on this page only where the pair is unique across all 94 winter-bedding listings.
The median badge across the 94 is 56 percent and the deepest is 85. The largest multiple in the read is a Rs. 1,858 quilt printing a Rs. 12,000 MRP — 6.46x, and it is not seated. Among the cards here the range runs from a 10 percent badge on the Rs. 3,706 Monte Carlo to 84 percent on a Rs. 642 dohar. We quote MRPs because Myntra displays them and treat none of them as evidence of a saving.
It depends where you are, and the listing titles are a poor guide. In this read Myntra sells 'AC room' at 110 to 250 GSM (a summer layer under a running air conditioner), 'mild winter' at roughly 150 to 350 and 'heavy winter' at 350 to 800. For a north Indian January you want the heavy band; for Mumbai, Bengaluru or Chennai the 300 GSM range covers the coldest nights. The labels overlap — two blankets here state an identical 300 GSM under different weight-class labels — so read the number.
This read cannot tell you, and that is the honest answer. A 550 GSM bsb home double sells at Rs. 1,679 and a 550 GSM Monte Carlo double at Rs. 3,706 — Rs. 3.05 against Rs. 6.74 a GSM. The Monte Carlo rates 4.4 from 101 ratings and the cheaper blanket 3.6 from 26, so there is some evidence of a quality difference, and brand, finish and fibre quality are not captured by a weight figure. What we can say is that the specification you are shown does not explain the gap, and that Rs. 2,027 is a lot to pay for the part the listing does not describe.
A dohar is a light quilted cotton layer, usually reversible, and it is what most Indian households actually use for eight or nine months of the year. In this read the dohars run from Rs. 557 to Rs. 3,125 and cluster at 120 to 210 GSM, well under the winter blankets. The best-evidenced one here is a Huesland pure cotton dohar at Rs. 899 with 4.6 stars from 1,220 ratings — though that listing, like 36 of the 94 we read, states no GSM at all.
The selling price is what you pay; the percentage above it describes a list price. The median badge across these 94 listings is 56 percent and the deepest is 85. The largest multiple in the read is a Rs. 1,858 quilt printing a Rs. 12,000 MRP, 6.46x, which we did not seat; the deepest we did seat is a Rs. 642 dohar under a Rs. 3,999 MRP. At the other end, a Rs. 3,706 Monte Carlo blanket carries a 10 percent badge. The badge tells you what a seller printed, not what you saved.
At the same stated GSM a filled comforter usually traps more air than a woven blanket, and on this shelf the comforters also happen to be better value: the heaviest listing in the whole read is an 800 GSM microfibre comforter at Rs. 997 with 7,406 ratings, which is Rs. 1.25 a GSM, the cheapest rate on this page. The heaviest blanket we found states 550 GSM and costs between Rs. 1,679 and Rs. 3,706. They are not identical products, but they compete for the same bed on the same night.
