186 of 227 sale products are at exactly 60% off. The ones that are not are newborn three-packs and F-J cup bras — the things people buy on need rather than on price.
We read 227 sale products across five Marks & Spencer India sale categories on July 28, and 186 of them are at exactly 60% off. A further five sit at 59% or 61% purely because their round rupee prices round a point either way, which makes them the same 60% wearing a different hat. That leaves 36 products genuinely priced outside the wall — and only three of those above it, at 80%, 80% and 70%. When a sale is that uniform the badge stops being able to rank anything, so the interesting question is not what is on the 60% rack but what managed to stay off it. Read those 36 and the pattern arrives immediately. The 30% shelf is a nursery: three-packs of cotton bodysuits, sleepsuits and rompers sized from six and a half pounds, plus single newborn tees. The rest of the 30% shelf, and most of the 20% one, is lingerie — but specifically the structured, sized and technical end of it, wired plunge bras across A to E cups and no-VPL knicker multipacks, with the F-H and F-J ranges sitting at 20%. What those two groups share is that they are bought because a baby exists or because a size is genuinely hard to find elsewhere, which is demand that does not require a discount and does not get one. Two comparisons make it concrete, and both come from within this single sale. The Flexifit lace bralette in standard sizes is Rs. 500 at 80% off; the same bralette family in F-H cups is Rs. 1,999 at 20% — four times the price at a quarter of the badge. And a pure cotton tee for a two-to-eight-year-old is Rs. 400 at 60%, while a smaller one for a newborn is Rs. 559 at 30%: less fabric, higher price, half the discount, on the same website on the same day. Our earlier piece on this sale counted the exceptions; this one reads them.
Every price below was pulled from Marks & Spencer India on July 28, 2026 and checked against the MRP on the listing. Stack them with the live codes on our Marks & Spencer India coupons page, which the deals desk re-verifies daily.
Five picks from Rs. 140 to Rs. 400. Of the 227 sale products we read, 186 are at exactly 60% off — so the badge cannot rank anything, and the useful question is what sits outside it.
Rs. 140 at 60% off — the lowest price across all 227 sale products we read.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 140, the cheapest item in the entire M&S India sale on July 28.
Rs. 320 at 60% off — cotton-rich jersey shorts for a child, at the price of a coffee.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 320, the joint-lowest kidswear price in our pull.
Rs. 320 at 60% off — the identical price and badge as the shorts, in a pure cotton top.
Why it earned its spot The same Rs. 320 at the same 60%, from an identical Rs. 799 reference.
Rs. 400 at 60% off — a printed pure cotton tee, the size most parents buy in threes.

Rs. 400 at 60% off — and the same bra appears elsewhere in the sale at Rs. 699 and 30%.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 400 here against Rs. 699 for the identically named bra at 30% off.
Four picks at 80%, 80%, 70% and 61%. Only three products in 227 genuinely exceed the flat rate; the 61% and 59% listings are the same 60% expressed in round rupee prices.
Rs. 500 at 80% off — the largest discount across all 227 products, and still here a month on.
Why it earned its spot Eighty percent, the deepest cut in our July 28 pull.
Rs. 500 at 80% off — a kids' wrap dress at the same price and badge as the bralette.
Why it earned its spot The same Rs. 500 and the same 80%, from an identical Rs. 2,499 reference.
Rs. 600 at 70% off — the single product between the 80% pair and the 61% shelf.
Why it earned its spot Seventy percent, and the only item at that figure in 227 products.
Rs. 1,299 at 61% off — a point above the wall, which is what a rounded price produces.
Why it earned its spot Sixty-one percent, one point above the flat rate that covers 186 products.
Four newborn picks at Rs. 350 to Rs. 583 a garment. A single tee for a four-year-old is 60% off; a single tee for a newborn is 30% off and costs Rs. 159 more.
Rs. 1,049 for three bodysuits — Rs. 350 each at 30% off, half the badge of the rack above.
Why it earned its spot Thirty percent, against the 60% covering most of this sale.
Rs. 1,749 for three sleepsuits — Rs. 583 each at 30%, while single kids' tees are at 60%.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 583 a sleepsuit at 30% off, against 60% on older children's clothing.
Rs. 1,749 for three rompers — Rs. 583 each, identical money to the sleepsuits above.
Why it earned its spot The same Rs. 583 a garment, on the same 30% shelf.
Rs. 559 at 30% off — a single newborn tee, the least expensive thing on this shelf.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 559, the lowest price among the 30% newborn items.
Four lingerie picks from Rs. 699 to Rs. 1,999. The structured, sized and technical pieces hold their price while the unstructured lace sits at 80% — including the same bralette in two size ranges.
Rs. 1,189 for three pairs — Rs. 396 each at 30%, while single knickers are at Rs. 140.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 396 a pair against Rs. 140 for the single knickers in Chapter One.
Rs. 1,189 at 30% off — a wired push-up plunge in A to E cups, at half the sale's headline rate.
Why it earned its spot Thirty percent on a fitted, wired, multi-size bra.
Rs. 699 at 30% off — a non-wired plunge across A to E, the least expensive fitted option.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 699, the lowest price among the sized bras on the 30% shelf.
Rs. 1,999 at 20% off — the same bralette family as the 80% pick, in F to H cups.
Why it earned its spot Twenty percent on the F-H version of a bralette that is 80% off in smaller sizes.
Four picks from Rs. 1,599 to Rs. 6,299. Extended-size lingerie, current-season menswear and tailoring — the three things a clothing retailer clears last, and one of them for a reason worth knowing.
Rs. 1,599 at 20% off — a wired full cup in F to J, one of the widest ranges in the store.
Why it earned its spot Twenty percent on a bra sized F through J, at Rs. 1,599.
Rs. 2,799 at 20% off — stretch chino shorts, on the shelf that has not been cleared yet.
Why it earned its spot Twenty percent, the current-season menswear rate in this sale.
Rs. 3,199 at 20% off — high-waisted carrot-leg jeans, current season and priced like it.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 3,199, the highest price on the 20% shelf.
Rs. 6,299 at 30% off — the dearest product in the sale, at half the headline rate.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 6,299, the highest price across all 227 products in our pull.
If 186 of 227 products carry the same badge, the badge is not a tool and these four things are. First: shop the 60% rack by product rather than by percentage, because every tile on it says the same number and the only variable left is whether the garment and the size are right. M&S construction quality is genuinely good at the cheap end of that rack — Rs. 320 for cotton-rich kids' shorts is the sort of price where the fabric matters more than the discount. Second: do not wait for the nursery and the extended-size lingerie to reach 60%, because nothing in our pull suggests they will. A three-pack of newborn bodysuits at 30% and an F-J cup bra at 20% are priced where they are because the demand is there without a cut, and holding out costs you the size rather than saving you money. Third: search by product name rather than browsing the rack, since this sale contains the same cotton-mix padded bra twice, at Rs. 400 and Rs. 699 against an identical Rs. 999 MRP, and a rack view shows you one at a time. Fourth: treat the 80% tiles with the right expectations — we flagged both of them in an earlier piece and they are still here a month later, which tells you they are long-tail sizes and colours rather than a clearance about to vanish, so check the size before you get attached. Our flat-60 coverage and sale exceptions piece track how this rack has moved, and our M&S India sale page is re-verified as events change.

Very. Of the 227 sale products we read across five M&S India sale categories on July 28, 186 sit at exactly 60% off, and another five sit at 59% or 61% purely because their round rupee prices round a point either way. That leaves 36 products genuinely priced outside the wall, and only three of them above it. When a sale is that uniform the badge cannot rank anything, so the whole question becomes what escaped it.
Almost entirely newborn multipacks and structured or extended-size lingerie. Three-packs of bodysuits, sleepsuits and rompers sized from six and a half pounds sit at 30%. Wired and sized bras across A-E sit at 30%, and F-H and F-J ranges at 20%. These are things people buy because a baby exists or because a size is hard to find anywhere else — purchases that do not need a discount, and do not get one.
It is the cleanest possible evidence. The Flexifit lace bralette in standard sizes is Rs. 500 at 80% off; the same bralette family in F-H cups is Rs. 1,999 at 20% — four times the price at a quarter of the badge. A single cotton tee for a 2-8 year old is Rs. 400 at 60%; a smaller one for a newborn is Rs. 559 at 30%. And a cotton-mix full cup padded bra appears in this sale twice, at Rs. 400 and Rs. 699, against the same Rs. 999 MRP.
We wrote about the two 80%-off items in this sale in an earlier piece and said they looked unlikely to last the weekend. Both were still listed on July 28. That is worth reporting rather than quietly omitting, because it changes how to read an 80% tile here: these are long-tail sizes and colours at the bottom of a rack rather than flash clearances, so the discount will probably still be there and the size you want may well not be. Prices read July 28, 2026.
Yes, and it is unusually literal. Of the 227 sale products we read on July 28, 186 are at exactly 60% off, and five more sit at 59% or 61% only because their round rupee prices round a point either way. Three products are above the rate, at 80%, 80% and 70%. What the banner does not tell you is that 36 products sit below it, at 30% and 20% — and those are the ones worth understanding before you assume the whole site is on sale.
Because they are different kinds of purchase. Clothing for a four-year-old is discretionary and gets cleared; newborn essentials are bought because a baby exists, and demand for them does not depend on a discount. In our July 28 pull, every three-pack of bodysuits, sleepsuits and rompers sized from six and a half pounds sat at exactly 30%, while single tees and shorts for older children sat at 60%. A newborn tee at Rs. 559 actually costs Rs. 159 more than a larger tee at Rs. 400.
For the structured and extended-size ones, no. In our pull, wired and sized bras across A-E cups sat at 30% and the F-H and F-J ranges at 20%, while the deep discounts went to unstructured lace bralettes in standard sizes. The clearest case: the Flexifit lace bralette is Rs. 500 at 80% off in standard sizing and Rs. 1,999 at 20% in F-H. Hard-to-find cup sizes sell without a discount, so waiting is more likely to cost you the size than to save you money.
The cotton-rich kids' wrap dress at Rs. 500, down from Rs. 2,499 — one of only two 80% items in our whole pull, and a garment that would normally be a serious purchase. Worth knowing before you get attached: we flagged both 80% items in earlier coverage of this sale and both were still listed a month later, which suggests they are long-tail sizes and colours rather than a clearance about to disappear. Check the size is there first. At the cheap end, kids' cotton-rich shorts at Rs. 320 are hard to argue with.
Because colourways are listed separately and can sit on different shelves. In our July 28 pull, a cotton-mix plain full-cup padded bra appeared at Rs. 400 with a 60% badge and at Rs. 699 with a 30% badge, both against the identical Rs. 999 MRP. A rack view only shows you one at a time, so the practical advice is to search by the product name rather than browsing the category — the version you are looking at may not be the cheapest version on the site.
