Libas kurta sets and ethnicwear in the brand's own campaign photography - the garments its return and no-exchange rules apply to

One sentence on Libas's refund page gives two answers to the same question. "At Libas we have 15 days Refund policy, it gives you an option to return items purchased from Libas.in for any reason within 7 days of receipt of the item." Fifteen in the headline, seven in the clause that actually does the work.

The rest of the page is clearer and tighter than most. No exchange policy at all, video proof of unboxing for missing items within 24 working hours, three pickup attempts, and a Rs. 100 cap on self-shipped returns. Below: what each clause means for a kurta still in its bag, and the one thing to do before you open the parcel.

The two different windows in one sentence are reported exactly as published and we make no claim about which Libas applies. No order was placed and no timeline was tested.

Fifteen days or seven? The page says both

One sentence on Libas's refund page contains two different numbers. "At Libas we have 15 days Refund policy, it gives you an option to return items purchased from Libas.in for any reason within 7 days of receipt of the item." That is the brand's own wording, read on 1 October 2026.

The headline says fifteen. The operative clause says seven. A buyer who reads the first half, puts the parcel aside and raises a return on day ten is outside the second half. We do not know which figure governs - only Libas can say that, and its customer care team is the place to ask - but the safe reading for anyone with a kurta set still in its bag is the shorter one.

What is not ambiguous is that this is a change-of-mind policy, which makes Libas unusual among the brands whose terms we read the same morning. The words "for any reason" appear in that sentence. Beardo, Dot & Key, Minimalist and mCaffeine all restrict returns to damage, a wrong item or a defect; Libas does not - it asks instead that tags are intact, the item is in its original packaging, and the garment is unwashed and undamaged.

The one-line version: film yourself opening a Libas parcel, and raise anything wrong with it the same day. The page asks for video proof of unboxing within 24 working hours for missing or wrong items, and says claims without it may not be entertained.

Film the unboxing. The page is explicit about it.

This is the clause most likely to cost somebody money, and it is worth quoting in full. "For all claims related to receiving missing items or wrong product, we advise you to share a video evidence of unboxing and raise the issue within the 24 working hours from the date of delivery. We may not be able to entertain claims of missing product being received without a video proof of unboxing."

Twenty-four working hours, and video, or the claim may not be entertained. Nothing about that is unusual in Indian fashion e-commerce - several large marketplaces ask the same - but it is a requirement you can only meet before you open the parcel, not after. One continuous clip from a sealed bag to the contents laid out is what the clause describes.

Returns themselves are free where Libas got it wrong. The page says returns are done at no cost "if wrong products (incorrect style), wrong sizes (size other than that ordered) or damaged products are received by the customer". It also warns that returned goods face a quality check at the warehouse and that "If the picked-up product does not pass the quality check, we will ship it back to you" - so tags and packaging matter in practice, not just on paper.

There is no exchange, and the pickup gets three tries

"Exchange - We do not have any exchange policy," the page states flatly. If a size is wrong, the route is a return and a fresh order, not a swap. The single carve-out runs the other way: "Only Libas Art Products have easy 3 days exchange. The items are only exchangeable for the same or a different size, if available, and cannot be returned." So on that sub-range you may swap a size within three days but you may not have your money back at all.

The logistics are specific too. Libas offers pickup at the address used to place the order, raised through 'Return Request' under My Orders or by emailing care@libas.in with the order id, product name and SKU. "We make three attempts to pick up the item, if the item is not picked up in the third attempt, Pickup request will be marked as failed."

If your pin code is not serviceable for reverse pickup, you ship it yourself and Libas reimburses the cost to a maximum of Rs. 100. Two more limits are worth knowing before you buy: returns are accepted only for items purchased directly on Libas.in - the page says requests for goods bought from "indirect online and offline distributors will be declined" - and where an order shipped from more than one warehouse, the return must go back in the same package it came in.

What this page is, and what it is not

This is a plain-English reading of libas.in/policies/refund-policy as it stood on 1 October 2026. Quotations are the brand's own words, reproduced as printed, including its own spelling and punctuation. The two different windows in one sentence are reported exactly as published; we do not know which one Libas applies in practice and make no claim about it. We did not place an order, raise a return, or test any timeline. Policies change without notice and a brand may handle an individual case more generously than its written terms require; the live page and Libas's own customer care team are the authority on your order, not this article.

Before you buy: treat the window as seven days, film the unboxing, and keep the tags on until you are sure. On a Libas Art product, check the size twice - that sub-range can be exchanged for another size but, by the brand's own wording, cannot be returned for money.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Libas's return window - 15 days or 7?
The page states both in one sentence: "At Libas we have 15 days Refund policy, it gives you an option to return items purchased from Libas.in for any reason within 7 days of receipt of the item." The headline figure is fifteen days; the operative clause says seven days from receipt. We cannot tell you which governs - that is for Libas to clarify, and its customer care team at care@libas.in is the place to ask - but a buyer who works to the shorter figure is inside either reading.
Can I return a Libas kurta if I just do not like it?
The published policy says yes, with conditions. The words used are "for any reason", provided all product tags are intact and in the original packaging, and the product is unwashed and undamaged. That makes Libas less restrictive than the beauty brands we read the same morning, which accept returns only for damage or a wrong item. Returned goods go through a quality check at the warehouse, and the page says items that fail it are shipped back to you.
Does Libas offer exchanges?
"Exchange - We do not have any exchange policy," the page states. The only exception is the Libas Art range: "Only Libas Art Products have easy 3 days exchange. The items are only exchangeable for the same or a different size, if available, and cannot be returned." For everything else, a wrong size means returning the item and placing a new order rather than swapping it.
What happens if an item is missing from my Libas parcel?
The page asks for video. "For all claims related to receiving missing items or wrong product, we advise you to share a video evidence of unboxing and raise the issue within the 24 working hours from the date of delivery," and it adds that claims of a missing product without video proof of unboxing may not be entertained. That evidence can only be collected before you open the parcel, so filming the unboxing of any Libas order is the practical advice.
Who pays for a Libas return pickup?
Returns are free of cost where the wrong style, the wrong size or a damaged product was sent. Libas offers reverse pickup at the address used to place the order and makes three attempts before marking the request failed. If your pin code is not serviceable for pickup, you self-ship and Libas reimburses the shipping cost up to a maximum of Rs. 100. Returns are only accepted for items bought directly on Libas.in; the page says requests for goods bought from distributors will be declined.

Everything described here was read on 1 October 2026 from Libas's own published refund policy page at libas.in, and every quotation is the brand's own wording reproduced as printed, including its own spelling, capitalisation and punctuation. Where that page states both a 15-day refund policy and a 7-day return window in one sentence, both figures are reported exactly as published; we do not know which Libas applies in practice, we have not asked it, and nothing here asserts that any customer has been refused a return or treated unfairly. This is a plain-English summary for readers and is not legal advice, not a complete statement of Libas's terms, and not a substitute for reading the live policy page and the terms shown at your own checkout, which prevail over anything written here. We did not place an order, cancel one, raise a claim, return a garment or test any timeline on this page. Policies, windows, email addresses, phone numbers and reimbursement caps change without notice, sometimes between the date of this reading and the date you read it, and a brand may handle an individual case more or less generously than its published terms require. Comparisons with other brands describe what those brands published on their own pages on the same date and are statements about published terms only, not about the quality of anyone's goods, sizing or customer service. Nothing on this page is an allegation of wrongdoing, unfair trade practice, misleading advertising or of any breach of the Consumer Protection Act, the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules or any other law, rule or platform policy by Libas, by Libas Designs Limited or by any other company named or unnamed; requiring unboxing video for missing-item claims is common practice in Indian fashion e-commerce and is described here, not criticised. Nothing here is a statement about any garment's fabric, fit, sizing accuracy, colour fastness or fitness for any purpose, and nothing here affects any statutory right you may have under Indian consumer law. If you have a problem with an order, contact Libas customer care first; this page cannot resolve it and has no involvement in any order you place.
