Three laptops on a colour-block banner — the product category Lenovo's Assured Exchange Bonus table applies to

Lenovo's exchange page does something most trade-in pages do not: it prints the bonus as a table. Seven rows, two variables — which Lenovo family you buy and how much you spend — and a gap of Rs. 15,000 between two machines at the same price. It also sets out who pays which half of the money and when, what a product return does to the bonus, and why the quote on screen is not yet an offer. Read on 12 October 2026, logged out, nothing bought and no quote requested. Published text only; not legal or financial advice.

📅 Update log:
12 October 2026 — First publication. lenovo.com/in/en/cashify-terms-and-conditons/ read in full: the "Assured Exchange Bonus" table and all seven of its rows with their purchase-value bands, the note that the bonus "is in addition to the exchange value of the product", the exchange-process steps 1 to 7 including the 48–72 hour pickup window, the 7-day and 30-day payment timelines and the product-return clause, the exchange support hours, and the Cashify "Terms of Use" section A (Use of Service) and section B (Representations), including the naming of Manak Waste Management Pvt Ltd, Lenovo's liability disclaimer and the "AS-IS" display statement. The page carried a "Sale Live Now!" label on the day of reading. No price for any laptop, desktop, monitor or trade-in device is asserted on this page. Content verified 12 October 2026.

The bonus is a published table, and it is worth reading before you pick a model

Lenovo India runs an exchange programme with Cashify: you get a quote for your old machine, buy the new Lenovo, and Lenovo adds an "Assured Exchange Bonus" on top of whatever Cashify pays for the old one. The page states the arithmetic plainly — "This exchange bonus is in addition to the exchange value of the product."

What makes it worth a close read is that the bonus is not a percentage and not a flat figure. It is a seven-row ladder keyed to two things: which Lenovo family you are buying, and what you spend. Reproduced exactly as published:

Product categoryNew product purchase valueExchange bonus
All MonitorsAnyValue of old product + Rs. 1,000
Yoga, IdeaPad 5 & LOQ LaptopsRs. 80,000 – Rs. 1,19,999Value of old product + Rs. 10,000
Legion, Yoga, IdeaPad 5 & LOQ LaptopsAbove Rs. 1,20,000Value of old product + Rs. 25,000
All Other Laptops, Desktops & AIORs. 60,000 – Rs. 79,999Value of old product + Rs. 2,500
All Other Laptops, Desktops & AIORs. 80,000 – Rs. 1,19,999Value of old product + Rs. 5,000
All Other Laptops, Desktops & AIORs. 1,20,000 – Rs. 1,49,999Value of old product + Rs. 10,000
All Other Laptops, Desktops & AIOAbove Rs. 1,50,000Value of old product + Rs. 15,000

The rung that matters most sits at Rs. 1,20,000. Cross it on a Legion, Yoga, IdeaPad 5 or LOQ and the bonus is Rs. 25,000. Spend exactly the same money on a machine in the "All Other Laptops, Desktops & AIO" row and the bonus is Rs. 10,000. Same outlay, Rs. 15,000 of difference, decided by the badge on the lid.

The gentler version of the same effect sits lower down the ladder: in the "All Other" rows the bonus steps Rs. 2,500 → Rs. 5,000 → Rs. 10,000 → Rs. 15,000 as the spend crosses Rs. 60,000, Rs. 80,000, Rs. 1,20,000 and Rs. 1,50,000. A machine priced just under a band edge earns the lower bonus, which is worth checking before you configure.

Monitors are the outlier. One row, no price bands, Rs. 1,000 on any purchase value.

The money arrives from two companies, up to 30 days apart

The page sets out a six-step process. The part most people will care about is step 5, quoted in full: "Upon successful verification, you will receive the Exchange value from Cashify (within 7 days) and the Bonus amount from Lenovo (within 30 days)."

So the trade-in payment and the bonus are two separate payments from two separate companies on two separate clocks. Nothing is netted off the price of the new machine at checkout on this page's description — you pay for the Lenovo, then the money comes back in two instalments.

Before that, step 4: "Cashify representative will contact you within 48 - 72 hours to pickup your old device and verify the specifications." The same step adds that "Exchange value submitted by Cashify is subject to change basis Cashify's T&C."

And step 7 is a practical trap worth avoiding: "Please ensure that you mention the same contact details (Mobile number & Shipping address) for both Lenovo product purchase and Cashify exchange."

Step 6, reproduced in full: "In case of Product return, the Bonus amount will be reduced from refund value." If you return the new machine, the bonus does not stay with you — it comes off what you get back.

The quote is not an offer until someone has looked at the device

The terms of use on the page are Cashify's, not Lenovo's, and they are explicit that the number you see at the quoting stage is provisional: "All quotes are pending our evaluation of the device and no binding offer is made until we have had a chance to inspect the device. We reserve the right to change our quote at any time."

Three named grounds for changing or withdrawing it, quoted as published: if the device is found to be "A) a different brand or model than originally quoted, B) missing any parts or accessories not captured on valuation, C) in a different condition than stated". The practical reading: declare the dents, the missing charger and the exact model number at quoting time, because all three are checked at pickup.

There is also an ownership and paperwork requirement that is easy to miss: "You must have a stored copy or a photocopy of id proof and indemnity bond signed which proves that you own the right, title and all legal interest in the device", and the device "may not be counterfeited, stolen, or contain harmful or offensive content of any nature."

Who you are actually dealing with

This is the clause that frames everything else on the page. Lenovo publishes the terms but disclaims the service: "The Buyback Services (‘Services’) are provided by Manak Waste Management Pvt Ltd. (‘Cashify’) at its sole discretion and you agree to the Terms of Use of Cashify before availing the same. Lenovo is not responsible for, and expressly disclaims all liability for, damages of any kind arising out of use, reference to, or reliance on any information contained either on Cashify's Terms of Use or the services provided by them. Lenovo is displaying the Terms of Use AS-IS."

Two more Cashify terms sit alongside it. On changes: "We reserve the right to modify this Agreement at any time without giving you prior notice… Terms and conditions modifying the Agreement are effective immediately upon publication." On continuity: Cashify "may stop (permanently or temporarily) providing the Services (or any features within the Services) to you or to users generally at Cashify's sole discretion, without prior notice to you."

The bonus half is Lenovo's. The valuation, the pickup, the inspection and the first payment are Cashify's. Knowing which company owes you what is the single most useful thing on the page if something goes wrong.

The six published steps, in order
  1. Step 1 — "Enter your old laptop's specifications and receive a quote from Cashify".
  2. Step 2 — "Please proceed to purchase the new Lenovo product."
  3. Step 3 — "You will receive your newly-ordered Lenovo product at the Shipping address."
  4. Step 4 — "Cashify representative will contact you within 48 - 72 hours to pickup your old device and verify the specifications."
  5. Step 5 — "Upon successful verification, you will receive the Exchange value from Cashify (within 7 days) and the Bonus amount from Lenovo (within 30 days)."
  6. Step 6 — "In case of Product return, the Bonus amount will be reduced from refund value."

The page also prints a support window for exchange queries: Mon–Sat, 10:00am–06:00pm.

What to check before you commit

  • Which row your machine is in. Legion, Yoga, IdeaPad 5 and LOQ have their own rows above Rs. 80,000; everything else falls into "All Other Laptops, Desktops & AIO".
  • Which side of a band edge the price sits on. The published edges are Rs. 60,000, Rs. 80,000, Rs. 1,20,000 and Rs. 1,50,000.
  • That your declared condition matches the machine. Brand, model, missing accessories and condition are all named as grounds to revise the quote.
  • That both orders carry the same mobile number and address, which step 7 asks for explicitly.
  • Whether you might return the new machine. If you do, step 6 says the bonus is deducted from the refund.

Everything above is Lenovo's and Cashify's own published wording, read on 12 October 2026. Programme terms, bonus amounts, price bands and timelines change without notice, and the page itself carried a "Sale Live Now!" label on the day we read it — check the current table on Lenovo's site before you buy.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much is the Lenovo exchange bonus in 2026?
Lenovo's published table lists seven bands. Monitors: Rs. 1,000 on any purchase value. Yoga, IdeaPad 5 and LOQ laptops from Rs. 80,000 to Rs. 1,19,999: Rs. 10,000. Legion, Yoga, IdeaPad 5 and LOQ above Rs. 1,20,000: Rs. 25,000. For "All Other Laptops, Desktops & AIO" the bonus is Rs. 2,500 (Rs. 60,000–79,999), Rs. 5,000 (Rs. 80,000–1,19,999), Rs. 10,000 (Rs. 1,20,000–1,49,999) and Rs. 15,000 above Rs. 1,50,000. Each one is "Value of Old Product + " the figure, because the page states the bonus "is in addition to the exchange value of the product". Figures read 12 October 2026 and subject to change.
When do I actually get the money?
In two payments, from two companies. The page says: "you will receive the Exchange value from Cashify (within 7 days) and the Bonus amount from Lenovo (within 30 days)" — and only "upon successful verification". Before that, "Cashify representative will contact you within 48 - 72 hours to pickup your old device and verify the specifications." So the sequence is buy, receive, pickup within 48–72 hours, trade-in value within 7 days, bonus within 30.
What happens to the bonus if I return the new Lenovo?
It is taken back. Step 6 of the published process reads, in full: "In case of Product return, the Bonus amount will be reduced from refund value." The page does not describe what happens to the separate exchange value already paid by Cashify for the old device, and we are not speculating. If you think a return is likely, this is the clause to read first, along with the return terms that apply to the purchase itself.
Is the Cashify quote guaranteed?
No. The terms on Lenovo's page say: "All quotes are pending our evaluation of the device and no binding offer is made until we have had a chance to inspect the device. We reserve the right to change our quote at any time." Three grounds for revising or revoking are named — a device that is "a different brand or model than originally quoted", "missing any parts or accessories not captured on valuation", or "in a different condition than stated". Declaring the true model, condition and missing accessories up front is the practical defence.
Who is responsible if the exchange goes wrong, Lenovo or Cashify?
The page allocates it explicitly. The buyback services "are provided by Manak Waste Management Pvt Ltd. (‘Cashify’) at its sole discretion", and "Lenovo is not responsible for, and expressly disclaims all liability for, damages of any kind arising out of use, reference to, or reliance on any information contained either on Cashify's Terms of Use or the services provided by them." Lenovo says it is displaying those terms "AS-IS". The bonus itself is the part the page attributes to Lenovo. This is a description of what the document says, not advice on any dispute, and statutory consumer rights apply regardless of how a document allocates responsibility.
