GoDaddy India advertises web hosting from Rs. 89 a month, and the price is real - but it is a first-term rate on a three-year plan, which means Rs. 3,204 paid at once rather than Rs. 89. The struck-through figure beside it is not a display price either: it is the standard rate the same plan moves to when the term ends.
We read all four shared-hosting plans off GoDaddy's own en-in pricing page on 18 August 2026. Starter runs Rs. 89 then Rs. 299, Economy Rs. 219 then Rs. 599, Deluxe Rs. 329 then Rs. 849 and Ultimate Rs. 399 then Rs. 1,099. Here is every price, what each plan includes, and why the biggest badge on the page marks the steepest increase.

GoDaddy Hosting Prices in India Today, and What They Renew At
GoDaddy India advertises web hosting from Rs. 89 a month. Two things about that number are easy to miss on the pricing page, and both change what you actually pay. First, it is a first-term rate on a three-year plan - GoDaddy's own card says 'For first 3-yr term' under every price. Second, the struck-through figure beside it is not a fictional list price; it is the standard rate the same plan moves to afterwards.
So the Starter plan is Rs. 89 a month for 36 months and Rs. 299 a month after that - 3.4 times the advertised price for the identical plan. And because the Rs. 89 rate is tied to a three-year term, taking it means paying Rs. 3,204 up front, not Rs. 89. These are the four shared-hosting plans as GoDaddy India priced them on 18 August 2026.
| Plan | First 3-yr term | Standard rate | Increase | Paid up front for 36 months |
|---|
| Web Hosting Starter | Rs. 89/mo | Rs. 299/mo | 3.4x | Rs. 3,204 |
| Web Hosting Economy | Rs. 219/mo | Rs. 599/mo | 2.7x | Rs. 7,884 |
| Web Hosting Deluxe | Rs. 329/mo | Rs. 849/mo | 2.6x | Rs. 11,844 |
| Web Hosting Ultimate | Rs. 399/mo | Rs. 1,099/mo | 2.8x | Rs. 14,364 |
The number that matters is the third column. Rs. 89, Rs. 219, Rs. 329 and Rs. 399 are what you pay for three years. Rs. 299, Rs. 599, Rs. 849 and Rs. 1,099 are what you pay in year four onwards. If you are choosing a host for the long run, compare the second set of numbers - that is the price you will spend most of your time paying.
What Each Plan Actually Includes
The jump from Starter to Economy costs Rs. 130 a month in the first term and adds no extra website - both are single-site plans. What it adds is the bundle: a free domain, free email and a free SSL certificate for one year, none of which Starter carries. If you were going to buy a domain anyway, that changes the comparison, because a domain bought separately is a real cost.
The jump from Economy to Deluxe is where the plan stops being a one-site plan: Rs. 110 a month more buys ten websites instead of one, double the storage, and unlimited SSL rather than one certificate for one year. That is the largest step-up in the range for the smallest price difference, and it is the plan most people running more than a single site should be looking at.
| Plan | Websites | Storage | What is included |
|---|
| Web Hosting Starter | 1 website | 10 GB NVMe | cPanel, 30-day money-back guarantee |
| Web Hosting Economy | 1 website | 25 GB NVMe | cPanel, free domain*, free email, free SSL for 1 year |
| Web Hosting Deluxe | 10 websites | 50 GB NVMe | cPanel, free domain*, free email, free unlimited SSL |
| Web Hosting Ultimate | 25 websites | 75 GB NVMe | cPanel, free domain*, free email, free unlimited SSL |
Read the asterisks. GoDaddy marks the free domain with an asterisk and the SSL with a caret on its own page, which means both carry conditions set out in GoDaddy's terms - typically a first-year-only domain and specific certificate coverage. We are reporting the inclusions as the page states them, not as unconditional promises. The Economy plan's SSL is stated as one year; Deluxe and Ultimate state unlimited SSL for all sites.
Where the Percentage Badge Misleads
GoDaddy prints 'Save 70%', 'Save 63%', 'Save 61%' and 'Save 63%' on the four plans. Those percentages compare the first-term rate against the standard rate, so they are internally honest - but they describe a discount that expires, not one you keep.
The plan with the largest badge is also the plan with the steepest renewal multiple: Starter's 70 per cent off is the same fact as Starter costing 3.4 times more in year four. Deluxe, with the smallest badge at 61 per cent, has the gentlest increase at 2.6 times. Ranking the plans by badge produces exactly the wrong order if what you care about is the long-run price.
| Plan | GoDaddy's badge | Renewal multiple | Extra per month from year 4 |
|---|
| Web Hosting Starter | Save 70% | 3.4x | Rs. 210 |
| Web Hosting Economy | Save 63% | 2.7x | Rs. 380 |
| Web Hosting Deluxe | Save 61% | 2.6x | Rs. 520 |
| Web Hosting Ultimate | Save 63% | 2.8x | Rs. 700 |
How we read these prices, and what we cannot tell you
These prices came from a rendered load of www.godaddy.com/en-in/hosting/web-hosting on 18 August 2026, with the page's currency selector showing INR. A rendered read is necessary here: GoDaddy's en-in prices hydrate client-side and appear late, and the in.godaddy.com host serves this server a privacy wall rather than a pricing page. Every figure below - the introductory rate, the struck-through standard rate, the 'For first 3-yr term' note, the percentage badge, the website allowance, the storage figure and the inclusion list - is transcribed from that page's own plan cards.
What we cannot tell you: what GoDaddy will charge at renewal in three years, since the struck-through figure is today's standard rate and standard rates change; whether the first-term price is also available on one-year or two-year terms and at what rate, because the cards we read quote the three-year term only; the exact conditions on the asterisked free domain and the caret-marked SSL, which sit in GoDaddy's terms; whether GST is included in these figures; and what any coupon code does to the first-term price. We have not purchased any of these plans. GoDaddy also sells Managed WordPress hosting, VPS and a separate Website Builder - three builder tiers were priced at Rs. 249, Rs. 599 and Rs. 899 a month on annual plans the same day - and none of those are covered here.
How to Buy GoDaddy Hosting Without Paying the Renewal Surprise
- Work out the three-year total before the monthly rate. Starter is Rs. 3,204 for 36 months, Economy Rs. 7,884, Deluxe Rs. 11,844 and Ultimate Rs. 14,364. That is the actual cheque.
- Compare hosts on the standard rate, not the intro rate. Every budget host in this market discounts a first term. The number that decides your five-year cost is Rs. 299, Rs. 599, Rs. 849 or Rs. 1,099 a month.
- Skip Starter if you need a domain. Economy is Rs. 130 a month more and includes a free domain, free email and a year of SSL; Starter includes none of the three and still only hosts one site.
- Take Deluxe if you will ever run a second site. Rs. 110 a month over Economy buys ten sites instead of one, 50 GB instead of 25 GB, and unlimited SSL instead of one year of it.
- Set a calendar reminder for month 35. The increase is automatic, and the cheapest plan has the steepest one - Rs. 210 more a month on Starter.
- Check the coupon page before checkout. A store code, where one is live, applies on top of the first-term price - and the renewal rate is the one thing a code will not change.
Zoutons Verdict
GoDaddy India's hosting is genuinely cheap for three years and ordinarily priced after that, and the pricing page states both numbers plainly enough - it is the percentage badge that does the obscuring. Rs. 89 a month means Rs. 3,204 paid at once for 36 months, then Rs. 299 a month.
If you want the cheapest way in, that is Starter. If you want the plan that is worth its price rather than its discount, it is Deluxe: Rs. 329 a month for three years, ten websites, 50 GB and unlimited SSL, and the gentlest renewal step in the range at 2.6 times. The plan we would think hardest about is Economy - Rs. 219 a month for a single website, justified almost entirely by the bundled domain and email, and only worth it if you were going to pay for those anyway.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does GoDaddy hosting cost in India?
As read from GoDaddy India's own web hosting page on 18 August 2026, there are four shared-hosting plans: Web Hosting Starter at Rs. 89 a month, Economy at Rs. 219, Deluxe at Rs. 329 and Ultimate at Rs. 399. Every one of those is a first-term rate on a three-year plan - GoDaddy's cards say 'For first 3-yr term' under each price - so taking the Rs. 89 rate means paying Rs. 3,204 for 36 months at once. The standard rates the same plans carry are Rs. 299, Rs. 599, Rs. 849 and Rs. 1,099 a month. GoDaddy also sells Managed WordPress hosting, VPS plans and a separate Website Builder, which was priced at Rs. 249, Rs. 599 and Rs. 899 a month on annual plans the same day; those are not covered here. Prices change - check the page before you buy.
What is the GoDaddy hosting renewal price?
The struck-through figure on each GoDaddy plan card is the standard rate, and it is what the plan costs once the discounted first term ends. On 18 August 2026 those were Rs. 299 a month for Starter, Rs. 599 for Economy, Rs. 849 for Deluxe and Rs. 1,099 for Ultimate. Against the advertised prices that is an increase of 3.4 times on Starter, 2.7 times on Economy, 2.6 times on Deluxe and 2.8 times on Ultimate. Note the pattern: the plan with the biggest advertised discount has the steepest increase. What we cannot tell you is what GoDaddy will actually charge when your term ends in three years, because standard rates themselves change over time - the figures above are today's standard rates, not a quoted future price.
Is GoDaddy's Rs. 89 hosting plan good value?
It is genuinely the cheapest way onto GoDaddy, with two caveats worth knowing before you click. The first is the commitment: Rs. 89 a month is the three-year-term rate, so it is Rs. 3,204 paid up front, and the standard rate afterwards is Rs. 299. The second is what Starter leaves out. It hosts one website with 10 GB of NVMe storage and cPanel, and it is the only plan in the range with no free domain, no free email and no included SSL certificate - Economy at Rs. 219 adds all three. If you already own your domain and just need somewhere to put a single simple site, Starter does that. If you are starting from nothing, price the domain separately before deciding that Rs. 130 a month is a saving.
Which GoDaddy hosting plan should I choose?
Deluxe, for most people who are choosing between them - Rs. 329 a month for the first three years, Rs. 849 after. It is the first plan that hosts more than one website (ten, against one on both Starter and Economy), it doubles Economy's storage to 50 GB, and its SSL is stated as free and unlimited for all your sites rather than one certificate for one year. It also carries the gentlest renewal step in the range at 2.6 times. Ultimate at Rs. 399 adds 25 websites and 75 GB, which only matters if you genuinely run that many. Starter and Economy are both single-site plans, and the Rs. 130 a month between them buys a domain, email and a year of SSL rather than any additional hosting capacity.
Does GoDaddy include a free domain and SSL with hosting in India?
On three of the four plans, with conditions. Economy, Deluxe and Ultimate all list a free domain and free email; Starter lists neither. On SSL, Economy states a free SSL certificate for one year, while Deluxe and Ultimate state free unlimited SSL for all your websites. GoDaddy marks the domain with an asterisk and the SSL with a caret on its own page, which means both carry terms - typically first-year-only on the domain, and specific coverage on the certificate - and those terms are on GoDaddy's site rather than on the plan card. We are reporting these inclusions as the page states them. Every plan lists cPanel, unmetered bandwidth, automatic daily backups, a 99.9% uptime guarantee and a 30-day money-back guarantee.
Prices & codes last verified: 18 August 2026
Every price, standard rate, percentage badge, term length, website allowance, storage figure and inclusion on this page was transcribed on 18 August 2026 from a rendered load of www.godaddy.com/en-in/hosting/web-hosting, with GoDaddy's own currency selector showing INR. A rendered read is necessary because GoDaddy's en-in prices hydrate client-side, and the in.godaddy.com host serves this server a privacy wall rather than a pricing page. All four plan prices are quoted by GoDaddy as first-term rates on a three-year plan; the struck-through figure is GoDaddy's stated standard rate as of that date and is not a quotation of what the plan will cost when any individual term expires, since standard rates change. Up-front totals shown here are our own arithmetic - the monthly rate multiplied by 36 - and may not match GoDaddy's checkout, which may add GST or other charges; we cannot tell from the pricing page whether GST is included. The free domain is marked with an asterisk and the SSL with a caret on GoDaddy's own page, meaning both carry conditions set out in GoDaddy's terms rather than on the plan card. We have not purchased or tested any of these plans. Managed WordPress hosting, VPS plans and GoDaddy's Website Builder are priced separately and are not covered beyond the three builder tiers noted. Prices on this store change without notice - check the page before you pay. Zoutons may earn a commission if you buy through links on this page; it does not change what you pay, and nothing here was reviewed or approved by GoDaddy.
