GoDaddy's India Website Builder page shows three paid plans: Basic at Rs. 249.00 a month, Premium at Rs. 599.00 and Commerce at Rs. 899.00, all under the Annual Plans toggle, plus a free tier and a 7-day trial. Templates, a free domain, professional email and the AI tools are on every one of them.
Two things on that page deserve a second look before you pay. Four payment and selling bullets carry GoDaddy's own "US only" or "US & CA only" notes, and the Commerce card quotes its card fee as 2.7% + 30 cents on a page priced in rupees. Everything below was read on 21 August 2026 from GoDaddy's own storefront.

Rs. 249 / Rs. 599 / Rs. 899 a month
Annual-plan pricing; no renewal price shown on the panel
📅 Update log:
21 Aug 2026 — first published. Website Builder read at Rs. 249.00 (Basic), Rs. 599.00 (Premium) and Rs. 899.00 (Commerce) per month under the Annual Plans toggle on GoDaddy's rendered India page, with the plan-card feature bullets transcribed as listed, including the four carrying US-only or US-and-Canada-only notes and the 2.7% + 30c card fee on the Commerce card. The panel showed no renewal price. We re-check this page monthly and will log any change to the plan prices, the geographic notes or the badges.
The Three Plans and What They Cost
Read from GoDaddy's own India storefront on 21 August 2026, with the page rendered - GoDaddy hydrates these prices client-side, so a plain page fetch returns no numbers at all. All three figures below sit under the Annual Plans toggle.
Basic is Rs. 249.00 /mo, Premium - which GoDaddy tags "Recommended" - is Rs. 599.00, and Commerce is Rs. 899.00. There is also a genuinely free tier and a 7-day trial of the paid features, after which GoDaddy's own FAQ says you are downgraded to the free version rather than losing your work.
| Plan | Price /mo (annual) | Badge on the card | Email marketing sends | Advertising | Online store |
|---|
| Basic | Rs. 249.00 | SAVE 66% WITH ANNUAL PLAN | 100 a month | Post to social media | No |
| Premium (GoDaddy's "Recommended") | Rs. 599.00 | SAVE 57% WITH ANNUAL PLAN | 25,000 a month | Unlimited ads on Meta and Google | No |
| Commerce | Rs. 899.00 | SAVE 40% WITH ANNUAL PLAN | 100,000 a month | Unlimited ads on Meta and Google | Yes |
Read the toggle, not just the number. These are annual prices shown per month. GoDaddy displays separate Monthly Plans and Flexible Term toggles, and the price changes when you switch. Rs. 249 a month on an annual plan is Rs. 2,988 committed up front for the year, not a monthly bill you can cancel in month two.
The Two Discount Claims on the Same Screen
One small thing to note, because it affects how much weight to put on the badges. The toggle at the top of the pricing block reads "Annual Plans — SAVE UP TO 57%". The Basic card immediately below it carries the badge "SAVE 66% WITH ANNUAL PLAN".
Sixty-six is more than "up to 57". We are reporting both exactly as the page printed them on the day rather than picking one, and we make no claim about which is correct or why they differ - GoDaddy may be measuring two different things. The practical takeaway is simply that a percentage badge is a weaker guide than the rupee figure next to it, and the rupee figures are unambiguous.
What You Get on Every Plan, and What Separates Them
Six things are identical across all three paid tiers, which means the Rs. 249 plan is not a stripped-down builder - templates, a free custom domain, professional email, GoDaddy's Airo AI tools, advanced analytics and the content creator are on every card. What you are paying up for is marketing volume and selling.
| Feature | Basic | Premium | Commerce |
|---|
| 100s of templates and editing tools | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Free custom domain | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Free professional email | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| GoDaddy Airo AI | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Advanced website analytics | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Free digital content creator | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Marketing tools | Basic | Advanced | Advanced |
| Email marketing sends | 100/mo | 25,000/mo | 100,000/mo |
| Unlimited ads on Meta and Google | — | Yes | Yes |
| Online booking, payments, deposits | — | Yes | Yes |
| Sell unlimited products and services | — | — | Yes |
| Online store transaction fee | — | — | 0% |
The jump that costs the most per feature is Basic to Premium: Rs. 350 a month buys advanced marketing tools, unlimited Meta and Google ads, online booking with payments, and email sends going from 100 a month to 25,000. If you do not run ads or take bookings, Basic is the whole builder.
Commerce at Rs. 899 adds selling: unlimited products and services, multiple payment and delivery options, and a stated 0 per cent online store transaction fee. Read that last one alongside the next section.
The Fine Print an Indian Buyer Should Read First
This is the part of the page most likely to catch someone out, and it is not hidden - it is in the plan bullets themselves, in brackets. Four payment and selling features listed on a page that quotes prices in rupees carry GoDaddy's own geographic limits.
| Feature as listed | GoDaddy's own limit | Where it appears |
|---|
| Accept payments with link or QR code | US & CA only | All three plans list it |
| Free invoicing | US only | All three plans list it |
| Automatic sales tax calculation | US only | Commerce plan |
| Shoppable social posts | US & CA only | Commerce plan |
💰 And the currency in the fee line. The Commerce card states a "2.7% + 30¢ eCommerce credit card transaction fee" - a percentage plus thirty cents, on a page otherwise priced in rupees. The 0 per cent figure directly above it is GoDaddy's own store transaction fee, which is a different charge from the card processing fee. If you plan to take card payments, ask what that fee converts to for an India-based store before you commit to the Rs. 899 plan.
The geo-limited bullets, exactly as the plan cards list them
Transcribed from the three plan cards on 21 August 2026:
- "Accept payments with link or QR code (US & CA only)" — listed under Accept Payments on Basic, Premium and Commerce
- "Free invoicing (US only)" — listed on all three
- "Collect donations" — listed on all three, with no geographic note
- "Automatic sales tax calculation (US only)" — Commerce
- "Shoppable social posts (US & CA only)" — Commerce
We are reporting the labels GoDaddy printed. We have not tested any of these features from India, and a feature being marked US-only on a marketing page is not necessarily the last word on what your account can do - it is a reason to ask before paying, not a finding about the product.
Which Plan Actually Fits
The honest read
For a portfolio, a services page or a small brochure site, Basic at Rs. 249 a month is the plan. It has the templates, the domain, the email and the analytics; the tiers above it sell marketing volume, not a better builder.
Premium at Rs. 599 earns its Rs. 350 gap only if you will actually use online booking or run Meta and Google ads. The 25,000 email sends are meaningless without a list to send to.
Commerce at Rs. 899 is the one to be careful with from India: the selling features are real, but four of the payment bullets on that card are marked US or US-and-Canada only, and the card-processing fee is quoted in cents. Confirm what an India store can actually charge on before you commit.
And on any tier, ask the renewal price at checkout. This panel does not show one, and on GoDaddy's hosting page the introductory figure and the other stated figure are Rs. 89 and Rs. 299.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does GoDaddy Website Builder cost in India?
On 21 August 2026 GoDaddy's India pricing panel showed three paid plans: Basic at Rs. 249.00 a month, Premium at Rs. 599.00 and Commerce at Rs. 899.00, with those figures shown under the Annual Plans toggle. There is also a free tier - GoDaddy's own "Start for Free / No credit card required" option - and a 7-day free trial of the premium features.
Is the Rs. 249 a monthly price?
It is displayed as "Rs. 249.00 /mo" under the Annual Plans toggle, so it is the annual plan expressed per month rather than a month-to-month price you can stop after one month. GoDaddy shows a separate Monthly Plans toggle and a Flexible Term option; switch the toggle before you read a price, because the numbers change with it.
Does GoDaddy Website Builder include a free domain?
The page says yes, on annual plans: "Free domain included with annual plans – or start building for free", and "Free custom domain" is listed on all three paid plan cards. A free first-year domain is a genuine saving, but note that a domain's second year is charged at its own renewal rate, which this panel does not display.
What does GoDaddy charge to renew a Website Builder plan?
The pricing panel does not say, and that is worth knowing before you buy. On GoDaddy's hosting page, read the same morning, the entry plan showed Rs. 89 against a stated Rs. 299 - the introductory price is roughly a third of the other figure. We have no equivalent published renewal figure for Website Builder, so check the renewal terms at checkout rather than assuming the plan stays at Rs. 249.
Which Website Builder features do not work in India?
Four listed on the India page carry GoDaddy's own geographic footnotes: accepting payments by link or QR code and shoppable social posts are marked "(US & CA only)", and free invoicing and automatic sales tax calculation are marked "(US only)". They appear as bullets on the plan cards you are being quoted in rupees for, so read the parenthetical text before you pick a plan for one of them.
Prices & codes last verified: 21 August 2026
Every price, badge, feature bullet and quoted line on this page was read on 21 August 2026 from GoDaddy's own India storefront at godaddy.com/en-in/websites/website-builder, with the page rendered because GoDaddy loads these prices client-side. The three prices are the figures shown under GoDaddy's Annual Plans toggle and are displayed by GoDaddy as a monthly figure on an annual plan; the Monthly Plans and Flexible Term toggles show different numbers, and the annual commitment figures in this article are our own arithmetic over the displayed monthly price rather than a total GoDaddy quoted. The pricing panel displayed no renewal price for any Website Builder plan; the Rs. 89 and Rs. 299 hosting figures referenced for contrast are from GoDaddy's separate hosting page read the same morning. Where the Annual Plans toggle read "SAVE UP TO 57%" and the Basic card read "SAVE 66% WITH ANNUAL PLAN", we have reported both as printed and make no claim about which applies or why they differ. The "US only" and "US & CA only" notes are GoDaddy's own labels on its plan cards, transcribed as shown; we have not tested any of those features from India and are not asserting what a given account can or cannot do. The 2.7% + 30c figure is quoted from the Commerce card as printed. Plan prices, features and terms are set by GoDaddy and can change without notice, and GoDaddy's own terms of service govern rather than this page; re-check at checkout before paying. Zoutons may earn a commission if you buy through links on this page; it does not change what you pay, and nothing here was reviewed or approved by GoDaddy.
