On almost every shelf we read, the big fashion sites print enormous discount badges. Myntra's camisole page prints nothing at all on thirteen of its thirty-two listings.
We read 115 listings on 20 October 2026. Myntra's median badge was 18.5% against AJIO's 70% — and on the three garments where both sites quoted the identical list price, the site printing the discount was also the one charging less.

📅 Update log:
20 October 2026 — First publication. Read the same day: ajio.com's own search results for "camisole", "tank top" and "crop top" (83 listings) and myntra.com's /women-camisoles listing page via a window.__myx parse (32 listings), both logged out, from India, with nothing purchased and neither retailer contacted. Recorded from this read: Myntra's median badge of 18.5% against AJIO's 70%; 13 of Myntra's 32 listings printing exactly 0% with stated MRP equal to selling price (six Van Heusen at Rs. 339 to Rs. 349, four Jockey at Rs. 299 to Rs. 449, two max at Rs. 199 and one VStar at Rs. 299), and 16 of 32 printing 20% or less; three products carrying an identical stated MRP on both sites - a Van Heusen camisole at a stated Rs. 349 selling for Rs. 307 on AJIO and Rs. 349 on Myntra, a MAX camisole at a stated Rs. 199 selling for Rs. 157 and Rs. 199, and a Van Heusen tank top at a stated Rs. 339 selling for Rs. 325 and Rs. 339, AJIO cheaper in all three; AJIO prices from Rs. 75 to Rs. 922 with a median of Rs. 222 and 34 of 83 under Rs. 200; Myntra prices from Rs. 155 to Rs. 449 with a median of Rs. 312.50 and 2 of 32 under Rs. 200; Teamspirit supplying 12 of AJIO's 83 listings with seven at exactly Rs. 100 or Rs. 101 against a stated Rs. 199; shared rating pools on Myntra of 17,884 across two max listings, 11,558 across six Van Heusen and 9,824 across two Zivame; Jockey rating counts of 8,042, 13,719, 13,755 and 14,470; and none of AJIO's 83 listings publishing any rating against 26 of Myntra's 32. Zivame appears on both shelves at different stated MRPs, so no like-for-like claim is drawn on it. Nothing was worn, washed or sized. Coverage checked before writing: no camisole or tank top page existed on either store.
A shelf where the big site prints no discount at all
We read both retailers' own listing pages for camisoles and tank tops on 20 October 2026 — 83 AJIO listings and 32 Myntra listings, logged out, from India, nothing purchased.
Myntra's median discount badge on this shelf was 18.5%, and 13 of its 32 listings printed exactly 0% — a stated maximum retail price identical to the selling price. AJIO's median badge on the same category was 70%.
That is the inverse of almost every shelf we read. The reason is straightforward: Myntra's camisole page is an innerwear-house page — Van Heusen, Jockey, max, Enamor, VStar — and those brands charge their list price.
The two shelves, side by side
| Measure | AJIO | Myntra |
|---|
| Listings read | 83 | 32 |
| Price range | Rs. 75 to Rs. 922 | Rs. 155 to Rs. 449 |
| Median price | Rs. 222 | Rs. 312.50 |
| Listings under Rs. 200 | 34 of 83 | 2 of 32 |
| Median badge | 70% | 18.5% |
| Badge range | 4% to 90% | 0% to 82% |
| Listings printing exactly 0% | 0 | 13 of 32 |
| Listings printing 20% or less | — | 16 of 32 |
| Listings publishing a star rating | 0 of 83 | 26 of 32 |
AJIO is cheaper at the median and far deeper at the floor — 34 of its 83 listings sell under Rs. 200, against two of Myntra's 32, and its cheapest is a Rs. 75 Zivame camisole.
Myntra is where the review data is. Twenty-six of its 32 listings publish a star average and a review count; none of AJIO's 83 does.
Where the stated MRP matches, the discounting site is the cheaper one
| Product | Stated MRP | AJIO | Myntra | Badge (A vs M) | Cheaper |
|---|
| VAN HEUSEN anti-bacterial camisole | Rs. 349 both | Rs. 307 | Rs. 349 | 12% vs 0% | AJIO, by Rs. 42 |
| MAX scoop-neck strappy camisole | Rs. 199 both | Rs. 157 | Rs. 199 | 21% vs 0% | AJIO, by Rs. 42 |
| VAN HEUSEN anti-bacterial tank top | Rs. 339 both | Rs. 325 | Rs. 339 | 4% vs 0% | AJIO, by Rs. 14 |
These are the cleanest comparisons on the page. Both retailers quote the identical list price for the same branded garment, so the badge is the only thing that differs — and here, unusually, it is also pointing the right way.
AJIO was Rs. 42 cheaper on both the Van Heusen camisole and the MAX camisole, while Myntra's versions of both printed 0% off. If you already know which brand you want, that is a Rs. 42 reason to check the other site.
The thirteen listings that print zero, and their review pools
| Myntra listing | Price | Stated MRP | Badge | Ratings |
|---|
| max solid knitted camisole | Rs. 199 | Rs. 199 | 0% | 17,884 |
| max solid knitted camisole | Rs. 199 | Rs. 199 | 0% | 17,884 |
| Jockey super combed cotton camisole | Rs. 299 | Rs. 299 | 0% | 13,755 |
| Jockey super combed cotton rib camisole | Rs. 299 | Rs. 299 | 0% | 14,470 |
| Jockey super combed cotton rib camisole | Rs. 329 | Rs. 329 | 0% | 8,042 |
| Jockey micro modal stretch adjustable | Rs. 449 | Rs. 449 | 0% | 13,719 |
| Van Heusen cotton relaxed fit (six listings) | Rs. 339 to Rs. 349 | Rs. 339 to Rs. 349 | 0% | 11,558 each |
| VStar white solid cotton camisole | Rs. 299 | Rs. 299 | 0% | 410 |
| Enamor slim fit camisole | Rs. 278 | Rs. 299 | 7% | 11,389 |
| Enamor pure cotton non-padded slim fit | Rs. 268 | Rs. 289 | 7% | 2,625 |
The brands printing no discount carry the deepest review pools on either shelf. max's two 0% listings share 17,884 ratings; Jockey's four run from 8,042 to 14,470; Van Heusen's six share 11,558.
Those shared counts mean one review pool across several colour listings — ordinary variant handling, not a defect, and not something we allege anything by. It does mean the number belongs to the style rather than to the exact colour you are looking at.
On this shelf the badge and the review depth point in opposite directions, and the review depth is the more useful of the two.
AJIO's cheap end, and the one brand that is most of it
| Listing | Price | Stated MRP | Badge |
|---|
| Zivame women's knit cotton camisole | Rs. 75 | Rs. 300 | 75% |
| Teamspirit camisole with adjustable straps | Rs. 100 | Rs. 199 | 50% |
| Teamspirit women's ribbed slim fit camisole | Rs. 100 | Rs. 199 | 50% |
| Teamspirit heathered camisole | Rs. 100 | Rs. 199 | 50% |
| Teamspirit typographic print tank top | Rs. 100 | Rs. 199 | 50% |
| Teamspirit women's essential camisole | Rs. 101 | Rs. 199 | 49% |
| Teamspirit waffle-knit camisole | Rs. 101 | Rs. 199 | 49% |
| Myntra's cheapest listing, for comparison | Rs. 155 | Rs. 379 | 59% |
Teamspirit supplies 12 of AJIO's 83 listings, seven of them at exactly Rs. 100 or Rs. 101 against a stated Rs. 199. That is ordinary retail and not something we criticise, but it means the apparent abundance at the Rs. 100 price point is largely one label.
None of these carries a rating, which on innerwear — where fit and fabric are the entire decision and neither shows in a photograph — is a real gap. We have not worn or washed any of them and make no claim either way about how they perform.
Zivame on both shelves: same brand, different list prices
| Listing | Site | Price | Stated MRP | Badge | Ratings |
|---|
| Zivame knit cotton camisole | AJIO | Rs. 75 | Rs. 300 | 75% | None published |
| Zivame round-neck camisole, adjustable straps | AJIO | Rs. 148 | Rs. 329 | 55% | None published |
| Zivame knit cotton camisole | AJIO | Rs. 150 | Rs. 299 | 50% | None published |
| Zivame knit cotton camisole | AJIO | Rs. 274 | Rs. 499 | 45% | None published |
| Zivame women's beige solid camisole | Myntra | Rs. 155 | Rs. 379 | 59% | 842 |
| Zivame women's black solid camisole | Myntra | Rs. 179 | Rs. 545 | 67% | 9,824 |
| Zivame women's beige solid camisole | Myntra | Rs. 300 | Rs. 545 | 45% | 9,824 |
Zivame is the third brand on both shelves, and unlike Van Heusen and MAX its stated MRPs do not match. AJIO measures its Zivame camisoles against Rs. 299, Rs. 300, Rs. 329 and Rs. 499; Myntra measures its against Rs. 379 and Rs. 545. So these are not like-for-like and we are not presenting them as such — a brand supplying different ranges to different retailers at different list prices is entirely ordinary.
What the rows do show is the price floor. AJIO's cheapest Zivame is Rs. 75 and Myntra's is Rs. 155, and Myntra's two best-reviewed Zivame listings (9,824 ratings each) sell at Rs. 179 and Rs. 300 — the same style at two prices, sharing one review pool.
What this page does not tell you
This is a price read, not a product review. Nothing was worn, washed, stretched or sized, and we make no claim about fit, fabric, coverage, padding or how any of these garments wears. "Anti-Bacterial", "Colour Fresh", "Super Combed Cotton", "Micro Modal" and "Non-Padded" are the listings' own printed descriptions, reproduced and not verified.
Nor does it tell you today's price. Every figure here was returned on 20 October 2026. Check the live listing before buying — and on this category in particular, where a brand appears on both sites, check both: the retailer printing 0% off was the dearer one every time.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why does Myntra show almost no discount on camisoles?
Because its camisole shelf is an innerwear-brand shelf, and those brands price at their list price. Across the 32 Myntra listings we read on 20 October 2026, the median badge was 18.5% and 13 of 32 printed exactly 0% — a stated MRP identical to the selling price. Those thirteen are Van Heusen, Jockey, max and VStar. AJIO's median badge on the same category was 70%. This is the reverse of what we normally find, and it is not evidence that anyone is doing anything improper: a brand sold in physical shops tends to set a maximum retail price it actually charges, so there is nothing to discount from. A 0% badge here is the honest display, not the bad deal.
Which site is cheaper for the same camisole?
AJIO, on the two products where we could match the stated MRP exactly. A Van Heusen camisole carrying a stated Rs. 349 on both sites costs Rs. 307 on AJIO and Rs. 349 on Myntra — AJIO Rs. 42 cheaper, and the Myntra listing prints 0% off while AJIO's prints 12%. A MAX camisole carrying a stated Rs. 199 on both costs Rs. 157 on AJIO and Rs. 199 on Myntra, again Rs. 42 apart. A Van Heusen tank top at a stated Rs. 339 on both was Rs. 325 against Rs. 339. In all three cases the retailer printing a discount actually charged less — which is the opposite of what the badge usually tells you, and worth checking both sites for a brand you already know you want.
Is a Rs. 75 camisole on AJIO a good buy?
It is the cheapest thing on either shelf by a distance, and we cannot tell you whether it is any good. It is a Zivame knit cotton camisole at Rs. 75 against a stated MRP of Rs. 300 — and like all 83 AJIO listings, it carries no rating of any kind. We did not handle, wear or wash it, and we make no claim about fabric, fit or coverage. What we can say is that the cheap end of AJIO's shelf is real and deep: 34 of its 83 listings sell under Rs. 200, against two of Myntra's 32, and one brand — Teamspirit — supplies seven listings at exactly Rs. 100 or Rs. 101. Myntra's cheapest camisole on this read was Rs. 155.
Do the 0% listings have anything going for them?
Reviews, in unusual depth. The listings printing no discount are also the most heavily rated on either shelf: max's two 0% camisoles share 17,884 ratings, Jockey's four run from 8,042 to 14,470, and Van Heusen's six share 11,558. Enamor's 7% listings carry 11,389 and 2,625. So on Myntra's shelf, the smaller the badge, the deeper the review pool — which is a far more useful signal than a percentage. Note that those shared counts mean one review pool across several colour listings, which is ordinary variant handling and not something we allege anything by; it simply means the number belongs to a style rather than to the exact colour in front of you.
Why do none of the AJIO listings show ratings?
Because AJIO does not publish them in these results. None of the 83 AJIO listings returned a star average or a review count, while Myntra published both on 26 of its 32. We recorded exactly the same on AJIO's ballerina and sling bag shelves the same day. This is not a criticism and we are not suggesting anything is concealed — retailers legitimately differ in what they surface. For innerwear it matters more than usual, because fit and fabric are the whole decision and neither is visible on a listing page. If you are buying an unfamiliar label, the Myntra side of this comparison is where the review depth is; if you already know the brand, AJIO was the cheaper place to buy it on this read.

Zoutons earns affiliate commission on some links on this page. It costs you nothing and it does not decide what we write. Every price, stated MRP, discount badge, star average and rating count above was returned by ajio.com's and myntra.com's own pages on 20 October 2026, logged out, from India, with nothing purchased. This is a price read, not a product review. Nothing was worn, washed, stretched or sized — "Anti-Bacterial", "Colour Fresh", "Super Combed Cotton", "Micro Modal", "Non-Padded" and all fabric and fit descriptions are the listings' own printed words, reproduced here and not independently verified, and we make no claim about fit, fabric, coverage, padding or wear on any garment named, including those we quote as inexpensive. Where a brand appears on both sites we have claimed a like-for-like comparison ONLY where the stated MRP matched exactly — Zivame's listings carry different stated MRPs on each site and no price comparison is drawn on it, because a brand supplying different ranges to different retailers at different list prices is entirely ordinary. NO STATED MRP IS CALLED FALSE AND NO WRONGDOING BY ANY BRAND, SELLER, BY AJIO OR BY MYNTRA IS ALLEGED. A 0% badge means a brand is charging its own list price, which is the more candid display rather than a worse deal; listings sharing a rating count are in all likelihood ordinary colour variants sharing one review pool. The absence of ratings on AJIO's listings is reported as a fact about what its search returns, not as a criticism. What each retailer publishes at the time you buy prevails over anything here.
