21 Aug: Amazon has still not announced Great Indian Festival 2026 dates. The amazon.in/greatindianfestival landing page is live today, but it carries no 2026 dates at all — its own page keywords still reference the 2025 edition. Nothing else on Amazon India is running a named sale event today. We will flip the expected window to official dates the same day Amazon publishes them.

20 Aug: No flagship Amazon event is running today. Mega Deals Days closed on 16 August and the Deals page has gone back to rolling category offers with no named-sale branding. The next flagship is the Great Indian Festival — still unannounced as of today, expected to open in the late-September/early-October window and run in waves through Diwali (8 November). This calendar is re-checked weekly; confirmed dates replace expected windows the day they are announced.

The honest pattern from recent years: if it is a phone, TV or large appliance, GIF is worth the wait — it is the event where brands clear festive inventory with the deepest bank-offer stacking. If it is under Rs. 5,000 (kitchen, fashion, accessories), current Mega Deals pricing is usually within a few percent of what GIF will offer, and waiting six weeks buys you little.

GIF has opened alongside Flipkart's Big Billion Days in the same late-September week for three straight years; some trackers expect a 1 October start for 2026. We will publish the confirmed date here the day Amazon announces it.
