We ran the same search at two Indian retailers on 31 October 2026 and read each one's own listing data: 32 sunglasses on Myntra, 37 on Tata CLiQ.
The two shelves have no brand in common at all — 22 brands against 8, and an empty intersection. Myntra's median pair costs Rs. 493 and advertises 76% off; Tata CLiQ's costs Rs. 1,813 and advertises 30%. And the review evidence sits on the cheap shelf: a median of 269 ratings against 13.
📅 Update log:
31 Oct 2026: first published. Every selling price, stated MRP, discount badge, star average and rating count on this page was read from myntra.com's and tatacliq.com's own listing data on 31 October 2026, logged out, from India. Medians, counts and brand lists are our own arithmetic over the 69 listings these two reads returned. Nothing was bought, delivered or worn.
We ran the same search at two Indian retailers on 31 October 2026 and read what each one's own listing data returned: 32 sunglasses listings on Myntra and 37 on Tata CLiQ, logged out, from India.
The two shelves have no brand in common at all. Myntra returned 22 brands, Tata CLiQ returned 8, and the intersection of those two lists is empty. That is not a near-miss or a question of spelling — there is simply no product you could price on both pages from these reads.
What this page does and does not compare. Because no brand appears on both shelves, this is not a like-for-like price comparison and nothing here says the same sunglasses cost more at one retailer than the other. It compares what each retailer's search actually puts in front of you: which brands, at what prices, carrying what badges, with how much review evidence behind them.

Not one shared brand
This is the finding that shapes everything else. Myntra's sunglasses results are fashion labels — its own house brands (Roadster, Mast & Harbour, WROGN), high-street names (H&M, Provogue, Carlton London) and a long tail of small eyewear sellers. Tata CLiQ's are eyewear houses — Ray-Ban and Oakley, the Lenskart group (Vincent Chase, John Jacobs, Resist) and Titan's IDEE.
| Shelf | Brands returned in this read |
|---|
| Myntra (32 listings, 22 brands) | Mast & Harbour, SPADEACES, WROGN, HAYDEN haiza, Artrue, HASHTAG EYEWEAR, Roadster, H&M, Provogue, Carlton London, LOUIS KOUROS, PELLE LUXUR, Espee, goglassic, HIPE, MoonX, Woggles, AUGEN, MK ZONE, SAM & MARSHALL, Jiebo, LEGEND EYEWEAR |
| Tata CLiQ (37 listings, 8 brands) | Ray-Ban, IDEE, Resist Eyewear, John Jacobs, Vincent Chase, Irus, Oakley Junior, Titan |
The practical consequence: if you are shopping by brand, these two searches are not alternatives to each other. A Ray-Ban did not appear in Myntra's 32 results and a Roadster did not appear in Tata CLiQ's 37. Searching one and assuming you have seen the market is the mistake this page is trying to prevent.
Myntra: a Rs. 493 median, and badges of 76%
Seventeen of Myntra's 32 listings sell for under Rs. 500, and 29 of the 32 sell for under Rs. 1,000. The median is Rs. 493. The median badge is 76%, and 20 of the 32 are badged 70% or more — off stated MRPs that reach Rs. 5,000 on a Rs. 994 pair.
The exception is instructive: the single dearest listing on Myntra's shelf, an H&M pair at Rs. 1,499, is the only one badged 0%, with its stated MRP set equal to its price. It is also one of the better-rated listings there, on 505 ratings.

Tata CLiQ: a Rs. 1,813 median, and badges of 30%
Not one of Tata CLiQ's 37 listings sells for under Rs. 799, and only six sell for under Rs. 1,000 — five of those six are the same Vincent Chase model code at Rs. 799. The median is Rs. 1,813, and the dearest listing, a Ray-Ban at Rs. 14,931, is ten times the dearest thing on Myntra's shelf.
The median badge is 30%, and the badge splits cleanly by house: Ray-Ban and Oakley at 10%, Titan at 25%, IDEE and Irus at 30%, and the Lenskart-group labels at 60% to 72%. The deep badges on this shelf all belong to the cheaper in-house labels, which is the same pattern Myntra's shelf runs at a lower price point.

The badge is set by the house, on both shelves
Group every listing in both reads by brand and the pattern is the same at each retailer: the better-known the eyewear name, the smaller the discount it advertises. Ray-Ban runs a median 10% across eight listings; Resist Eyewear, at a median Rs. 1,399, runs 72%. On Myntra, the cheapest house in the read carries the deepest badge.
| Brand | Shelf | Listings | Median price | Median badge |
|---|
| Ray-Ban | Tata CLiQ | 8 | Rs. 8,811 | 10% |
| Oakley Junior | Tata CLiQ | 2 | Rs. 4,401 | 10% |
| Titan | Tata CLiQ | 1 | Rs. 4,234 | 25% |
| IDEE | Tata CLiQ | 6 | Rs. 2,800 | 30% |

| HAYDEN haiza | Myntra | 3 | Rs. 334 | 84% |
The review evidence sits on the cheap shelf, not the dear one
This is the result that surprised us most, and it runs against the intuition that a dearer shelf is a better-documented one. Myntra's median rating count is 269 and its largest pool is 3,070. Tata CLiQ's median is 13 and its largest is 114. Both shelves have a similar share of unrated listings — 8 of 32 on Myntra, 14 of 37 on Tata CLiQ — but where a rating exists on Tata CLiQ it is usually built on a handful of people.
The Rs. 14,931 Ray-Ban, the most expensive pair of sunglasses in either read, carries no rating at all. So does the Rs. 1,399 Resist pair carrying the deepest badge on that shelf. Neither absence is evidence that anything is wrong with either product — an unrated listing is unproven, not bad — but it does mean the dearer shelf gives a shopper much less to go on.
So which shelf should you actually search?
If you want a recognised eyewear house, only one of these shelves has them, and you will pay Tata CLiQ's prices: a median of Rs. 1,813, Ray-Ban at a median Rs. 8,811 and a 10% badge, and very little review evidence behind any of it.
If you want cheap sunglasses and are not buying a name, Myntra's shelf is 3.7 times cheaper at the median and has roughly twenty times the review evidence per listing. Its 76% median badge is not the reason — those badges sit on stated MRPs up to five times the selling price, and the one listing badged 0% is the dearest thing on the shelf. The reason is simply that the money is lower and more people have rated it.
What neither shelf's badge tells you is anything about the sunglasses. We have not handled, worn or tested a single pair, and no claim is made here about UV protection, polarisation, lens or frame quality. Compare the prices and the rating counts; ignore the percentages.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are sunglasses cheaper on Myntra or Tata CLiQ in November 2026?
On the shelves these reads returned, Myntra is far cheaper — but they are not selling the same things. Myntra's 32 listings ran Rs. 310 to Rs. 1,499, median Rs. 493. Tata CLiQ's 37 ran Rs. 799 to Rs. 14,931, median Rs. 1,813. Seventeen of Myntra's 32 sell under Rs. 500; none of Tata CLiQ's 37 does. Because no brand appears on both shelves, this is a difference in what each retailer stocks rather than two prices for one product.
Do Myntra and Tata CLiQ sell the same sunglasses brands?
Not in these reads — there was no overlap at all. Myntra returned 22 brands, chiefly fashion labels including its own house names (Roadster, Mast & Harbour, WROGN) plus H&M, Provogue and Carlton London. Tata CLiQ returned 8 brands, all eyewear houses: Ray-Ban, Oakley Junior, Titan, IDEE, Irus and the Lenskart-group labels Vincent Chase, John Jacobs and Resist Eyewear. If you are shopping for a specific eyewear brand, searching only one of these two sites may not show it to you at all.
Why does Myntra show 76% off on sunglasses and Tata CLiQ only 30%?
Because the two shelves carry different kinds of brand, and the badge tracks the brand. Myntra's median badge is 76%, with 20 of its 32 listings at 70% or more, off stated MRPs that reach Rs. 5,000 on a Rs. 994 pair. Tata CLiQ's median is 30%, and it splits by house: Ray-Ban and Oakley at 10%, Titan 25%, IDEE and Irus 30%, and the cheaper Lenskart-group labels at 60% to 72%. The pattern on both shelves is the same — the better-known the eyewear name, the smaller the badge — so the percentage is not comparable between them.
Which sunglasses shelf has more customer reviews?
Myntra, by a wide margin. Its median rating count is 269 and its largest pool is 3,070 ratings. Tata CLiQ's median is 13 and its largest is 114. The dearer shelf is the less-reviewed one: the Rs. 14,931 Ray-Ban, the most expensive listing in either read, carries no rating at all, and so does the Rs. 1,399 pair with Tata CLiQ's deepest badge. We report an absent rating as absent — it is not evidence about quality in either direction.
Is a Rs. 310 pair of sunglasses on Myntra worth buying?
This page cannot tell you, and it is important to say so plainly. Nothing in these reads was bought, delivered, handled or worn, and no claim is made here about UV protection, polarisation, lens quality, frame strength or how long any pair lasts. Terms such as "Polarised" and "UV Protected" are the listings' own words, reproduced and not verified. What the data supports is this: the Rs. 310 listing is the cheapest of the 69 read, it is badged 84% off a stated Rs. 1,999, and it rests on 27 ratings. Read the rating count, check the returns window, and treat the badge as arithmetic on a number the seller chose.
Prices & codes last verified: October 31, 2026
Every selling price, stated MRP, discount badge, star average and rating count on this page was read from myntra.com's and tatacliq.com's own listing data on 31 October 2026, logged out, from India, with nothing bought. Nothing was purchased, delivered, handled, worn or tested, and no claim is made about UV protection, polarisation, lens quality, frame material or strength, hinge durability, fit or how long any pair lasts. "Polarised", "UV Protected" and "Clear Lens" are the listings' own marketing words, reproduced as published text and not verified, endorsed or tested by us. The 69 listings were reached by each retailer's own search and are not a census of what either sells — results vary by query, ranking, login state, pin code and time of day, and listings are per colourway and model code, so a count of listings is not a count of distinct products. Because no brand appeared on both shelves, nothing on this page is a like-for-like price comparison, and nothing here claims that any particular pair of sunglasses costs more at one retailer than at the other. A stated MRP is the figure each listing prints; we report it and compute badges from it, but nothing here asserts that any such figure is false or improper, and nothing alleges wrongdoing by Myntra, by Tata CLiQ, or by any seller or brand named. Stocking different brands, setting different discount tiers by house and listing colourways separately are ordinary retail practices, reported here as published fact. Brand-level figures such as "a median 10% across eight listings" are our own arithmetic over the listings these reads returned for that brand — between one and eight listings each — and are not statements about that brand's pricing generally or its catalogue beyond this read. Where a listing publishes no rating we report the absence as an absence, which is not evidence about quality in either direction; a star average built on one or two ratings is reported with its count attached for the same reason. Prices change without notice and cart-level coupons are not visible in this data — check the live listing before buying. Zoutons may earn a commission on purchases made through links on this page; this does not affect what is written above.
