Two fashion platforms, a hundred and twenty-two scarves and mufflers between them, and one shelf that tells you what buyers thought while the other tells you nothing at all.
We read both on the afternoon of 19 September 2026. Below: the two brands stocked by both and what each charges, the brand-level discount rules running through AJIO's badges, and the full price list from each platform.
📅 Both shelves read 19 September 2026
Stole Villa scarf: Rs. 175 at AJIO vs Rs. 218 at Myntra
0 of 70 AJIO listings publish a rating; 34 of 52 Myntra listings do
📅 Update log:
19 Sep 2026 — first published. Myntra's 52 listings came from its own scarves, women's scarves and stoles and mufflers listing data; AJIO's 70 came from ajio.com's own search responses for scarf, stole and muffler. Both were read on the afternoon of 19 September 2026 as a logged-out visitor in India with nothing purchased. The brand comparisons are ours, made by matching brand and product descriptions across the same session's results. Both platforms re-price without notice, so we re-read both shelves and log what has changed here.
AJIO publishes no ratings at all. Myntra publishes them on two listings in three
We read both scarf shelves on the afternoon of 19 September 2026 — 52 listings at Myntra, 70 at AJIO — and the first difference is not a price. Not one of AJIO's 70 listings publishes a star rating or a rating count. Myntra publishes both on 34 of its 52, and some of those samples are large: a Handicraft Palace cotton scarf at Rs. 377 carries 4.3 from 2,377 ratings, and a Sangria stole at Rs. 542 carries 4.4 from 747.
This is AJIO's own display behaviour rather than a gap in our reading — the same search response that carries every price and MRP carries no rating field at all. It has a practical consequence on a shelf like this one, where sixty listings look broadly alike in a photograph: on Myntra you can sort the lookalikes by how many people bought them, and on AJIO you cannot.
It cuts the other way too. A rating count is not quality, and Myntra's shelf includes a 76% badge resting on five ratings. But between a page that shows a number and a page that shows none, only one of them can be checked.
| Measure | Myntra | AJIO |
|---|
| Listings read | 52 | 70 |
| Cheapest listing | Rs. 218 | Rs. 119 |
| Dearest listing | Rs. 701 | Rs. 1,469 |
| Median price | Rs. 499 | Rs. 334 |

| Listings publishing a star rating | 34 of 52 | 0 of 70 |
| Largest rating count published | 2,377 ratings | none published |
| Most common stated MRP | Rs. 999 and Rs. 1,299 | Rs. 499, on 15 listings |
| Most common selling price | Rs. 499, on 9 listings | Rs. 175, on 7 listings |
The two brands both shelves stock - and AJIO is cheaper on both
Two labels appear in both pulls. Stole Villa sells printed cotton scarves at Rs. 175 on AJIO against a stated Rs. 499, and at Rs. 218 to Rs. 220 on Myntra against a stated Rs. 799. Same brand, two different stated MRPs, and the badge is smaller on the cheaper shelf: 65% at AJIO against 72-73% at Myntra.
It gets wider when you count what is in the packet. Several of AJIO's Rs. 175 Stole Villa listings are packs of two, which is Rs. 88 a scarf against Myntra's Rs. 218 for one. Both shelves also list a pack of six — Rs. 377 on AJIO, Rs. 398 on Myntra, or Rs. 63 against Rs. 66 a scarf.
Handicraft Palace is on both, but selling different things: men's reversible wool mufflers at Rs. 599 to Rs. 1,049 on AJIO, women's cotton and acrylic scarves at Rs. 377 and Rs. 560 on Myntra. Those two Myntra listings carry 2,377 and 1,330 ratings between them. The AJIO listings carry none, so there is no way to tell whether the brand's mufflers are as well liked as its scarves.
| Product | Myntra | AJIO | Cheaper |
|---|
| Stole Villa printed cotton scarf, single | Rs. 218 — 73% off a stated Rs. 799 | Rs. 175 — 65% off a stated Rs. 499 | AJIO by Rs. 43 |
| Stole Villa printed scarves, pack of two | not listed in this pull | Rs. 175 — 65% off a stated Rs. 499 (Rs. 88 a scarf) | AJIO, on price per piece |
| Stole Villa printed scarves, pack of six | Rs. 398 — 69% off a stated Rs. 1,299 (Rs. 66 a scarf) | Rs. 377 — 71% off a stated Rs. 1,299 (Rs. 63 a scarf) | AJIO by Rs. 21 |
| Handicraft Palace, cheapest listing on each shelf | Rs. 377 cotton scarf — 41% off Rs. 640, 4.3 from 2,377 ratings | Rs. 599 wool muffler — 60% off Rs. 1,499, no rating published | Different products; only Myntra shows feedback |
₹ Read the pack size before the price. On AJIO, seven Stole Villa listings sell at the same Rs. 175 and some are single scarves while others are packs of two — the price is identical, the contents are not. The same trap exists on Myntra, where a six-scarf pack at Rs. 398 sits beside single scarves at Rs. 499.
On AJIO the discount is a brand rule. On Myntra it is a per-listing number
AJIO's 70 badges cluster hard. All ten YOUSTA listings are badged exactly 40% off. Seven Stole Villa listings are badged exactly 65%. Nine Indie Picks listings sit at 74-75%. Prices behind those badges run from Rs. 119 to Rs. 447. That is a margin rule showing through the discount display rather than seventy separate decisions.
Myntra's badges vary listing by listing, and its own oddity is at the other end of the sum: nine Myntra listings sell at exactly Rs. 499 against stated MRPs of Rs. 499, Rs. 599, Rs. 899, Rs. 999 and Rs. 1,299 — so one price carries badges from no discount at all to 62%. On AJIO, Rs. 499 is not a price at all: it is the most common stated MRP, on fifteen listings.
Neither habit is unusual and neither is hidden. Both simply mean the same thing for a shopper: the percentage describes the number the seller typed above the price, so the only figure worth comparing across the two shelves is the rupee price — and, where it exists, the count under the stars.
AJIO is cheaper and wider; Myntra is narrower and better evidenced
AJIO's shelf is cheaper at both the floor and the middle. It starts at Rs. 119 (a YOUSTA printed scarf) against Myntra's Rs. 218, and its median listing is Rs. 334 against Myntra's Rs. 499. It also goes much higher: Rs. 1,469 for a Monte Carlo reversible muffler, against Myntra's ceiling of Rs. 701.
That range difference is mostly a category difference. AJIO's pull is full of men's mufflers — knitted, reversible, wool-blend winter pieces from YOUSTA, Indie Picks, Monte Carlo and Handicraft Palace — while Myntra's is dominated by women's printed scarves and stoles. If you are shopping for a winter muffler, AJIO is the shelf with the choice. If you are shopping for a printed stole, Myntra has more of them and tells you which ones people bought.
YOUSTA, the largest single brand in the AJIO pull with ten listings, is Reliance Retail's own young-fashion label, and AJIO is Reliance's platform — so the cheapest scarves on that shelf, at Rs. 119 to Rs. 269 with a flat 40% badge, are the retailer's own stock priced by the retailer.

Buy mufflers and multipacks at AJIO, buy printed stoles at Myntra
On the one brand both shelves sell in comparable form, AJIO is cheaper: Rs. 175 against Rs. 218 for a Stole Villa scarf, and Rs. 88 a piece where the Rs. 175 listing is a pack of two. AJIO is also the only one of the two with a real men's muffler range, from Rs. 119 to Rs. 1,469.
Myntra's advantage is evidence. Thirty-four of its 52 listings publish a rating, and the two best-sampled — a Rs. 377 Handicraft Palace cotton scarf with 2,377 ratings and a Rs. 560 acrylic scarf with 1,330 — are the only listings across both shelves we would buy without seeing first. On AJIO you are buying from a photograph, so favour the multipacks, where a bad scarf costs Rs. 88 rather than Rs. 500.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Myntra or AJIO cheaper for scarves and stoles in September 2026?
AJIO, across the shelf and on the one brand comparable between them. On 19 September 2026 AJIO's 70 listings had a median price of Rs. 334 against Myntra's Rs. 499 and a floor of Rs. 119 against Rs. 218. Stole Villa, stocked by both, was Rs. 175 on AJIO against Rs. 218-220 on Myntra, and several of AJIO's Rs. 175 listings are packs of two. AJIO also runs much higher, to Rs. 1,469, because it stocks men's wool mufflers that Myntra's scarf pages did not return.
Why do AJIO scarf listings show no ratings?
Because AJIO does not publish a star average or a rating count on these listings at all. None of the 70 AJIO listings we read on 19 September 2026 carried either, while Myntra published both on 34 of its 52. This is AJIO's own display behaviour, not a gap in our reading — the same response that carries every price and MRP carries no rating field. The practical effect is that on AJIO you cannot sort visually similar listings by how many people have actually bought them.
Which scarf has the most reviews on Myntra?
The HANDICRAFT PALACE floral printed cotton tasselled scarf at Rs. 377, with 4.3 from 2,377 ratings — the largest sample in either shelf, and on one of the most restrained MRPs in the read at a stated Rs. 640. The same seller's grey and white striped acrylic scarf at Rs. 560 carries 4.6 from 1,330. After those, an Alexvyan checked scarf at Rs. 499 has 913 ratings and a Sangria paisley stole at Rs. 542 has 747.
Why are so many AJIO scarves discounted by exactly the same percentage?
Because the discount is set per brand rather than per product. In our read, all ten YOUSTA listings were badged exactly 40% off, seven Stole Villa listings exactly 65%, and nine Indie Picks listings 74-75%, across prices from Rs. 119 to Rs. 447. Myntra does the opposite sort of thing: nine listings share one selling price of Rs. 499 with badges from zero to 62%, because each seller states a different MRP. On both shelves, the percentage describes the stated MRP, not the value.
Are the pack-of-two scarf listings better value?
Usually, yes, and they are easy to miss. On AJIO, several Stole Villa packs of two sell at the same Rs. 175 as its single scarves — Rs. 88 a scarf. The six-scarf packs go lower still: Rs. 377 on AJIO and Rs. 398 on Myntra, or about Rs. 63 and Rs. 66 a scarf. The catch is that a multipack gives you one print decision for several scarves, and on AJIO there are no ratings to tell you how the fabric wears. Check the listing title for the pack count before comparing any two prices here.
Prices & codes last verified: 19 September 2026
Both shelves behind this page were read on the afternoon of 19 September 2026 as served to a logged-out visitor in India, with nothing purchased and no account used. The Myntra side is 52 listings from myntra.com's own listing data across its scarves, women's scarves and stoles and mufflers pages; the AJIO side is 70 listings from ajio.com's own search responses for scarf, stole and muffler. Every selling price, stated maximum retail price, discount percentage, star average and rating count is the platform's own published figure reproduced without adjustment. That AJIO published no rating or rating count on any of these 70 listings is an observation about its listing display on this date and is not a statement about the quality of anything it sells, nor does it mean AJIO has no reviews elsewhere on its site. The brand comparisons are ours, made by matching brand names and product descriptions across the same session's results; the two shelves do not stock identical products — AJIO returned many men's mufflers and Myntra mostly women's printed scarves and stoles — so the median, floor and ceiling figures describe these two samples rather than either platform's full catalogue or its pricing policy. Where a listing is a multipack we say so and give the per-piece price; pack counts are taken from the listing titles as printed. We cannot verify whether any stated maximum retail price was ever a live selling price and make no claim either way — the same brand's scarves are listed against Rs. 499 on one platform and Rs. 799 on the other. No wrongdoing by Myntra, by AJIO, by Reliance Retail, or by Stole Villa, Handicraft Palace, YOUSTA, Indie Picks, Monte Carlo, Alexvyan, Sangria, Anouk or any other brand named is alleged or implied; setting a uniform brand-level discount and stating a high MRP are both legal and commonplace. The note that YOUSTA is Reliance Retail's own label and AJIO a Reliance platform is based on those companies' publicly stated ownership. Fibre, weave and warmth descriptions — wool, cashmere blend, pashmina, acrylic, cotton — are the sellers' own listing text, quoted as printed and not verified; nothing here was worn, washed or measured. Prices change without notice; coupon codes, bank card offers, delivery charges and anything applied at checkout are not visible in listing data and can move your final price in either direction on either platform, and the prices and terms shown at your checkout prevail over anything here. Zoutons may earn a commission if you buy through links on this page; it does not change what you pay, and nothing here was reviewed or approved by either platform or any brand named.
