Neemans Return Policy 2026: Exchange Only, No Refunds, 7-Day Window

Two Neeman's sneakers of the kind this exchange policy covers, shown as they appear in Neeman's own product photographs

Most return policies fail a shopper on a date. Neeman's publishes one that fails them on a definition. "Please note that we do not offer refunds at this time. Only exchanges are supported." That sentence sits on a page titled "Refund policy", at neemans.com/policies/refund-policy, and it is the single most consequential line the brand publishes about buying from it.

We read the policy first-party on 5 October 2026. Below: what the Free 7-day Trial Policy actually permits, why socks are carved out of every route including replacement, what an EMI or cash-on-delivery order gives up, and the 48-hour evidence rules for a parcel that arrives wrong.

📅 Update log:
5 October 2026 — First publication. Neeman's return, exchange and refund policy read in full from neemans.com/policies/refund-policy: the exchange-only rule, the Free 7-day Trial Policy and its eligibility conditions, the socks carve-out and its 48-hour replacement route, the EMI one-exchange limit, the non-refundable COD charge of Rs. 29-100, and the 48-hour delivery-dispute process with its evidence list. Terms verified 5 October 2026.

The page is called a refund policy and it rules out refunds

Neeman's publishes this at neemans.com/policies/refund-policy, under the heading "Refund policy". One sentence inside it decides almost everything a shopper needs to know, quoted exactly as it appears:

"Please note that we do not offer refunds at this time. Only exchanges are supported."

That is not a condition attached to worn shoes or late requests. It is the default. If a pair does not suit you and you send it back inside the window, what comes back is a different pair, not your money. The policy's own framing says the same thing in its opening paragraph - "we offer a hassle-free exchange policy" - and every process it then describes is an exchange process.

Most Indian footwear sites publish a refund route alongside an exchange one. This page publishes only the second, so the decision a shopper actually makes at checkout is whether they are willing to be locked into the brand for the value of the order.

Size carefully the first time. With no refund route, an exchange has to land on a size Neeman's still has: the EMI clause spells the dependency out, allowing exchanges "subject to a limit of one exchange per order and size availability".

Seven days, and the trial has to leave no trace

The window is short and the page states it plainly: "We have a Free 7-day Trial Policy. If 7 days have gone by since your order delivery, unfortunately, we won't be able to offer you an exchange." Seven calendar days from delivery, not from dispatch or from order.

What makes the word "trial" worth reading twice is the eligibility list that follows it. To qualify, the product must be "Unused and in the same condition as received" and "Handovered in original packaging with all tags intact". The refusal list repeats it: requests are not accepted for "Products that have been used, worn, damaged, or are missing original packaging/tags".

So the trial is an indoor one. Keep the box, keep the tags, and keep the pair off any surface that will mark a sole. The policy does credit Neeman's with the logistics: "We take care of the reverse pickup and exchange logistics to ensure a smooth and convenient experience for you."

To start it, the page says: "Please click on SCHEDULE AN EXCHANGE within 7 days of delivery with your order number." Queries go to info@neemans.com.

Socks are carved out of the policy completely

The socks clause is the sharpest thing on the page and it is unconditional. "Socks cannot be returned or exchanged once purchased. This applies to all sock orders, including single pairs and combo packs."

There is one narrow route left open, and it is not a return: "Replacement is only available in case of damaged, defective, or incorrect items delivered. Any request for replacement must be raised within 48 hours of delivery with supporting images." The product must be "unused, unwashed, and in their original packaging", and the page warns that "Requests without proper proof (images/videos) may not be processed."

Then the line that closes it: "Refunds will not be provided under any circumstances for socks."

Combo packs are the practical trap here. A multi-pair sock pack is exactly the kind of order where one wrong size is discovered after the fact, and the clause names combo packs explicitly so that there is no argument about it. Hygiene carve-outs for socks and innerwear are standard across Indian retail; what is less standard is stating that no refund exists for them under any circumstances.

Note the two different 48-hour clocks on this page. One is for a damaged or incorrect sock order; the other is for a delivery that arrived missing, wrong, partial, empty or tampered. Both start at delivery, both require photographic evidence, and both are shorter than the seven-day exchange window that gets all the attention.

EMI purchases get exactly one exchange, and COD charges never come back

Two clauses sit near the end of the page and both cost money rather than time.

"Products purchased through EMI are not eligible for returns. However, exchanges are allowed, subject to a limit of one exchange per order and size availability." So an EMI order has a stricter version of an already exchange-only policy: one attempt, and only if the size you want is in stock.

"Note - We do not issue refunds for Cash on Delivery (COD) charges, typically ranging from 29 to 100 Rs., in case you decide to return a product." That is Neeman's own stated range for its COD fee, and it is money that stays spent whatever happens to the shoes.

Rs. 29 to Rs. 100 is small against a pair of sneakers. It is worth knowing anyway, because it is the one figure on this page that is irrecoverable by design, and because paying by card or UPI avoids it entirely.

Forty-eight hours if the parcel itself is wrong

Neeman's treats delivery problems as a separate process with its own clock. Six situations are named: missing item(s), wrong product received, partial delivery, delivered but not received, empty package received, and tampered or damaged package. All of them "must be reported within 48 hours of delivery", and the page adds: "Requests raised beyond 48 hours of delivery may not be eligible for investigation or resolution."

The evidence list is specific. Email info@neemans.com with a description of the issue; confirm the package condition from a fixed list - "Sealed & Intact, Tampered, Torn, Damaged, Opened"; and share clear images of the outer package from all sides, the shipping label or AWB, all products received, and the invoice if available. The page also asks for an unboxing video "if available", saying it "significantly helps expedite the investigation".

Claims "may be declined" if the information is not provided, the evidence is "incomplete or unclear", or the issue is reported beyond the stipulated 48-hour timeframe. And where an order arrived in several shipments, evidence must cover "only for the shipment associated with the reported issue" - sending more than that, the page says, "may delay the investigation process".

The practical reading: film the opening of any Neeman's parcel you have the slightest doubt about, and send the photographs the same day.

The policy's own conditions, as printed on 5 October 2026Free 7-day Trial Policy; no exchange after 7 days from delivery. To qualify the product must be "Unused and in the same condition as received" and "Handovered in original packaging with all tags intact". Exchange requests are refused for requests raised after 7 days and for products "that have been used, worn, damaged, or are missing original packaging/tags". Neeman's states it arranges reverse pickup and exchange logistics. "Please note that we do not offer refunds at this time. Only exchanges are supported." Socks cannot be returned or exchanged at all, single or combo; replacement only for damaged, defective or incorrect items raised within 48 hours with supporting images, product "unused, unwashed, and in their original packaging"; "Refunds will not be provided under any circumstances for socks." EMI purchases: not eligible for returns, one exchange per order subject to size availability. COD charges "typically ranging from 29 to 100 Rs." are not refunded. Delivery issues - missing, wrong, partial, not received, empty, tampered or damaged - must be reported within 48 hours with a stated evidence list; claims may be declined for missing, unclear or late evidence. Six things to do before you order

  • Assume no refund. "We do not offer refunds at this time. Only exchanges are supported" is the policy's default, not an exception.
  • Open the parcel the day it lands. Delivery problems have a 48-hour window; the exchange window is seven days.
  • Try indoors, keep the box and tags. Eligibility requires the pair to be "Unused and in the same condition as received" in original packaging.
  • Treat socks as final. No return, no exchange, no refund under any circumstances - including combo packs.
  • Pay by card or UPI if you might send it back. COD charges of Rs. 29 to Rs. 100 are explicitly non-refundable.
  • On EMI, you get one exchange. One per order, and only if your size is available.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Neeman's give refunds?
No, by its own published policy. "Please note that we do not offer refunds at this time. Only exchanges are supported." The page is titled "Refund policy" and sits at neemans.com/policies/refund-policy, but what it describes throughout is an exchange process: a Free 7-day Trial Policy, reverse pickup arranged by Neeman's, and a replacement pair rather than money back. The only further mention of refunds on the page is to rule two of them out - COD charges, and socks "under any circumstances". Read 5 October 2026; the page can change and the terms at your own checkout prevail.
How many days do I have to exchange Neeman's shoes?
Seven, counted from delivery. "We have a Free 7-day Trial Policy. If 7 days have gone by since your order delivery, unfortunately, we won't be able to offer you an exchange." To start it the page says to click SCHEDULE AN EXCHANGE "within 7 days of delivery with your order number". The pair must still be "Unused and in the same condition as received" and "Handovered in original packaging with all tags intact", and requests are refused for products "used, worn, damaged, or missing original packaging/tags" - so the trial is an indoor one.
Can I return Neeman's socks?
No. "Socks cannot be returned or exchanged once purchased. This applies to all sock orders, including single pairs and combo packs." The one route that stays open is a replacement for "damaged, defective, or incorrect items delivered", which must be raised "within 48 hours of delivery with supporting images" with the socks "unused, unwashed, and in their original packaging". The page adds that "Refunds will not be provided under any circumstances for socks" and that requests without image or video proof "may not be processed".
What happens if my Neeman's order arrives wrong or incomplete?
There is a separate 48-hour process. Missing items, a wrong product, a partial delivery, "delivered but not received", an empty package and a tampered or damaged package "must be reported within 48 hours of delivery" to info@neemans.com. Neeman's asks for a description, the package condition from a fixed list (Sealed & Intact, Tampered, Torn, Damaged, Opened) and clear images of the outer package from all sides, the shipping label or AWB, all products received and the invoice, plus an unboxing video if available. Claims "may be declined" if evidence is missing, unclear or late. For multi-shipment orders, send evidence only for the shipment concerned.
Are Neeman's COD charges refunded if I send the shoes back?
No. The policy states it directly: "We do not issue refunds for Cash on Delivery (COD) charges, typically ranging from 29 to 100 Rs., in case you decide to return a product." That range is Neeman's own stated figure for the fee, and it is the one amount on the page described as irrecoverable by design. Paying by card or UPI avoids it. Separately, EMI orders are "not eligible for returns" and are limited to "one exchange per order and size availability".

A published policy can be amended at any time, so the terms described here may already differ from the ones that apply to your order - the policy shown on neemans.com at the time of your purchase, and any terms shown at your own checkout, prevail over anything on this page. The stated COD charge range of Rs. 29 to Rs. 100 is Neeman's own figure as printed and not a charge we were quoted or paid. This page describes purchases made on neemans.com only; Neeman's products bought through any marketplace or physical store are governed by separate policies this page does not describe. Reporting that a brand offers exchanges rather than refunds, excludes socks from returns on hygiene grounds, limits exchanges on EMI orders or does not refund a cash-on-delivery handling charge is a description of its published terms; setting return and exchange conditions is an ordinary and lawful retail practice, and nothing on this page alleges unfair trade practice, deficiency in service, a dark pattern or any breach of the Consumer Protection Act, the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, the Legal Metrology Act or any other law, rule or guideline by Neeman's, by Shoe Alchemy Private Limited or by any other entity, and no wrongdoing is alleged or implied. Nothing here is legal advice; a shopper with a disputed exchange or a declined claim should rely on Neeman's own published policy and customer service rather than on this summary, and consumers in India retain whatever statutory rights apply to them regardless of any published policy.
