Twenty-one shorts and skirts read on 27 August, Rs. 305 to Rs. 983. The prices overlap across both aisles; the discount badges are twenty points apart.
We read a hundred listings across Myntra's men's shorts, women's shorts and women's skirts shelves on 27 August 2026. Almost everything real sells between Rs. 300 and Rs. 1,000 on all three. The badges do not follow: the median discount is 47 per cent on men's shorts, 55 on women's shorts and 66 on skirts, and the whole difference sits in the stated MRP rather than in the garment or in what you save.
Every price below was pulled from Myntra on August 27, 2026 and checked against the MRP on the listing. Stack them with the live codes on our Myntra coupons page, which the deals desk re-verifies daily.

Why it earned its spot Zero per cent off, 1,176 ratings, and it still sells.

Why it earned its spot Van Heusen has counters in every department store, and its MRP behaves accordingly.
Rs. 655 for a gathered flared maxi skirt, with 4,667 ratings behind it.
Why it earned its spot A large badge and, unusually for this shelf, a large rating count to go with it.
The clean pair - a U.S. Polo short at 16 per cent off Rs. 849 and a satin maxi at 79 per cent off Rs. 3,999 - plus the two largest rating counts in the read.
Rs. 713 off a stated Rs. 849 - the branded end of the shorts shelf.
Why it earned its spot Four U.S. Polo listings in this pull share the identical 9,383 ratings.
Rs. 723 for a scuba mini skort - shorts underneath, 7,799 ratings on top.

Rs. 824 against a stated MRP of Rs. 3,999 - 79 per cent, on a satin maxi skirt.
Why it earned its spot Rs. 111 more than the U.S. Polo shorts, and Rs. 3,150 more in claimed worth.
Rs. 899 for a denim skort off a stated Rs. 1,499 - the H&M middle ground.
Why it earned its spot A real list price from a brand with shops, halfway between the two conventions.
Rs. 983 for a printed cotton maxi, showing 18,975 ratings shared with a second listing.
Why it earned its spot Eighteen thousand ratings - and the identical count appears on another Anayna listing.
First: sort by price, never by discount - sorting this shelf by badge puts a Rs. 824 satin skirt above a Rs. 713 branded short and tells you nothing about either. Second: check whether the brand has shops, because a stated Rs. 849 from U.S. Polo Assn. or Rs. 699 from Decathlon is a price somebody charges, while a stated Rs. 3,999 on an online-only skirt is a number chosen to size a badge. Third: read the rating count as a family count, not a listing count - four Pepe Jeans listings here share 7,225 ratings and two Anayna skirts share 18,975, the same pooling we found on the shirts shelf. Fourth: buy the fabric for the weather - pure cotton and light weaves for the heat, scuba and knit for air-conditioning. Then check the live coupon page before checkout.

Across the 100 listings we read, the median discount was 47 per cent on men's shorts, 55 on women's shorts and 66 on women's skirts - while the selling prices of all three shelves sat in the same Rs. 300 to Rs. 1,000 band. The badge is a property of the aisle's MRP convention, not of the garment or the saving.
U.S. Polo Assn., Pepe Jeans, Decathlon, Van Heusen, Enamor, Marks & Spencer and H&M all state MRPs between Rs. 449 and Rs. 1,499 and discount by 0 to 50 per cent. Online-only labels state Rs. 1,999 to Rs. 4,549 for garments selling at the same money and discount by 63 to 79. Only one of those reference prices is charged anywhere.
Myntra pools ratings across a style family. Four U.S. Polo Assn. shorts listings in this pull all show 9,383 ratings; four Pepe Jeans listings all show 7,225; two Anayna skirts share 18,975. We seat one listing per pooled family and say on the card when a count is shared.
One Roadster lounge short appears three times in this pull at Rs. 399, each listing showing the identical 3.9 from 128. Two Flicfol, two Nayram, two FLEXO FIT and two MULVARI listings repeat the same way. A shelf that looks like a hundred choices contains meaningfully fewer garments.
Pure cotton breathes and wrinkles, quick-dry polyester moves sweat and holds smell, scuba holds a shape and holds heat, satin drapes and snags. An A-line flares from the waist and forgives a size mismatch; a knit lounge short is warmer than a woven one. None of this is in the badge.
Because the two aisles use different MRP conventions, not because the skirts are better value. On 27 August 2026 the median discount across the 34 women's skirt listings we read was 66 per cent, against 55 on women's shorts and 47 on men's shorts - and yet all three shelves sell mostly between Rs. 300 and Rs. 1,000. The difference is in the stated MRP. Branded shorts from companies with physical shops - U.S. Polo Assn., Pepe Jeans, Decathlon, Van Heusen, Enamor - state MRPs of Rs. 449 to Rs. 1,199, which are prices those shops charge. Online-only skirt labels state Rs. 1,999 to Rs. 4,549 for garments selling at the same money. The badge is arithmetic over that second number, so it says more about the label's accounting than about your saving.
In our read of the men's and women's shorts shelves on 27 August 2026, the floor was Rs. 305 for T.T. men's cotton lounge shorts, off a stated MRP of Rs. 478. Three AMUL COMFY listings sat at Rs. 310 and a Sztori plus-size high-rise lounge short at Rs. 312. Below about Rs. 450 the shelf is almost entirely lounge and sleep shorts rather than anything you would wear out. The cheapest per-garment figure we found was better than any of them: an ariel pack of two checked pure cotton lounge shorts at Rs. 464, which works out to Rs. 232 each. Prices move daily and coupons apply on top, so treat these as the shape of the shelf rather than a quote.
Because Myntra pools ratings across a style family and shows the family total on each listing in it. In this pull four different U.S. Polo Assn. shorts listings all showed exactly 9,383 ratings, four different Pepe Jeans lounge shorts all showed 7,225, two Anayna maxi skirts both showed 18,975, and AVANOVA, ariel and Pepe's women's line each repeated a count across two listings. It is not a fabrication - those ratings exist - but the number under the stars on any one listing is not a count of people who bought that colour, that print or even that exact garment. It is why this page seats only one listing from each pooled family and says on the card when a count is shared.
Three listings in this read carried a zero per cent badge: The Souled Store's Batman printed boxer shorts at Rs. 499, a Marks & Spencer men's stretch chino short at Rs. 1,999 and an H&M women's lounge short at Rs. 1,499. All three are brands that run their own stores, and all three are selling at their own list price on Myntra rather than manufacturing a markdown. Two more sit close to it - Dreamz by Pantaloons at 5 per cent off Rs. 499 and U.S. Polo Assn. at 9 to 16 per cent across four listings. Read those small badges as a sign the reference price is real, which is the opposite of how a shelf sorted by discount presents them.
For lounging and sleeping, usually yes; for wearing out, look at the fabric line first. Under about Rs. 450 this shelf is almost entirely cotton or cotton-blend lounge shorts, and the failure point at that price is the waistband elastic rather than the fabric - expect a year of regular washing. The listings with real evidence behind them at that level are the ones to prefer: the Sztori plus-size short has 3,032 ratings at 4.5, ADDYVERO's high-rise short has 3,759 at 4.4 and Decathlon's quick-dry gym short has 17,811 at 4.4, the largest count anywhere in this read. The Roadster short at Rs. 399 is the counter-example: 128 ratings averaging 3.9, the lowest on this page, and the listing appears three times.
