Prices & codes last verified August 24, 2026

We read Myntra's handbag shelf on 24 August 2026 and seated 19 slings, totes and crossbodies from Rs. 549 to Rs. 1,499. The two loudest badges here - 81 per cent and 80 per cent - belong to the only two listings claiming an MRP above Rs. 2,800, and both bags sell for about Rs. 930. One of them has no published rating at all. The best-rated bag on the page is badged 52 per cent, and the dearest listing in the read is badged nothing, because it sells at its own list price.

Every price below was pulled from Myntra on August 24, 2026 and checked against the MRP on the listing. Stack them with the live codes on our Myntra coupons page, which the deals desk re-verifies daily.

Four rules for buying a bag on Myntra

First: check whether the brand has a storefront of its own, because that is what makes an MRP a list price rather than a field on a form - Puma, Converse, Lavie, uppercase, Bewakoof and DailyObjects all do, and the seven marketplace labels here do not. Second: read the rating count before the average, since 4.8 from twenty-two people and 4.4 from three hundred are not the same claim. Third: prefer a stated material or capacity to a stated discount - only two listings in this read name either, and both are among the best buys on the page. Fourth: check the live coupon page before checkout, the same discipline we applied to Myntra belt and wallet prices, because a coupon threshold on this store usually needs a cart rather than one Rs. 600 sling.

What we skipped — and why

What we skipped, and why: every listing above the Rs. 1,500 ceiling this page is about, which removed a Lino Perros structured sling at Rs. 2,077, two Mochi oversized totes at Rs. 1,704 and Rs. 1,875, two CORSICA bags at Rs. 1,721 and Rs. 1,785, an Alt by Zouk printed bag at Rs. 1,952, a Mast & Harbour shoulder bag at Rs. 1,571, a DANIEL CLARK structured sling at Rs. 1,549 and three DailyObjects listings at Rs. 1,949 and Rs. 1,999. Two of those DailyObjects listings - the Khaki Beige and Midnight Blue March crossbodies - returned an identical Rs. 1,999 price, an identical Rs. 2,299 MRP and an identical rating count of 393, which is the pooled-count behaviour we de-duplicate on. We also dropped every listing whose photograph had already appeared, because Myntra gives each colourway its own listing and our duplicate-image check blocks them.

What we look for

We read the discount badge as a claim about the MRP, not about the bag

The two deepest badges in this read - 81 per cent on the bagneeds handheld and 80 per cent on the SPOTIC crossbody - are the only two listings on the page claiming an MRP above Rs. 2,800, at Rs. 4,999 and Rs. 4,599. Both sell for about Rs. 930. Meanwhile the uppercase sling takes 20 per cent off a stated Rs. 1,500 and the Converse takes nothing at all off Rs. 1,499. We print every badge because Myntra prints it, and we never treat a large one as evidence that a bag is worth more than what it sells for.

We treat an unrated listing as unrated, however large its badge

Eight of the nineteen bags seated here have no published rating whatsoever: Redsea at Rs. 646, Vesara at Rs. 899, bagneeds at Rs. 930, Puma's printed shoulder bag at Rs. 1,004, Gulaab Jaipur at Rs. 1,102, NFI essentials at Rs. 1,149, Lara Karen at Rs. 1,399 and Converse at Rs. 1,499. We seat them because unrated listings are a large share of what this shelf actually contains, and hiding them would misrepresent the category - but every card says plainly whether Myntra publishes a rating, and the specification line prints the raw count either way.

We say when a rating average rests on too few people to use

LAVIE SPORT's 4.8 comes from twenty-two ratings and uppercase's 5.0 from five. Those are the two highest averages on the page and neither is a usable sample - a single good week produces both. We show a rating pill only where a listing carries at least fifty ratings, so the pill on this page marks a crowd rather than an average, and the card body prints the raw count in every case so you can judge the sample yourself rather than reading a decimal out of context.

We separate brands you can price-check from labels you cannot

Puma, Converse, Lavie, uppercase, Bewakoof and DailyObjects all sell these bags through their own storefronts or through physical retail, so their stated MRPs are list prices that exist outside this listing page. bagneeds, SPOTIC, Redsea, Vesara, NFI essentials, COUNSELOR and Lara Karen exist here and on other marketplaces only, which means their MRP is a number typed into a field by the same party that sets the selling price. That distinction, not the badge size, is what decides whether a discount on this shelf can be verified at all.

We remove duplicate photography and repeated brand-level rating counts

Myntra gives each colourway of a bag its own listing while attaching one photograph and one pooled rating count across several of them, and our quality gate blocks duplicate product art outright. So we de-duplicated on productId, then on the listing image, then on the rating count itself - any count already used on this page disqualified the later listing. The two DailyObjects Retreat crossbodies survived that test because they carry genuinely different counts, 57 and 164, and genuinely different photographs; we seated both and said so on each card.

FAQs

Which handbag should I actually buy on Myntra under Rs. 1,500?

On evidence, the DailyObjects Carbon Black Retreat crossbody at Rs. 1,199 - 4.7 from 164 ratings is the best-supported combination on the page, and DailyObjects sells the same bag through its own storefront so its stated Rs. 2,499 MRP is checkable. If you want to spend less, the Bewakoof stackable sling at Rs. 749 has 154 ratings at 4.5 behind the smallest badge in the cheap half. If you need to carry something rather than accessorise, the Puma Essentials convertible at Rs. 799 is the only listing here that states its capacity - 12 litres - and converts between tote and backpack. And if you want a material worth choosing on, the Gulaab Jaipur quilted cotton tote at Rs. 1,102 is the one non-PU bag in the read.

Why do Myntra bags show 80 per cent off when the bag costs Rs. 930?

Because the badge is arithmetic over a stated MRP that the seller sets itself, and on this shelf the biggest MRPs belong to the labels least able to justify them. The two deepest badges here - 81 per cent on a bagneeds PU handheld and 80 per cent on a SPOTIC crossbody - are the only two listings in the read claiming an MRP above Rs. 2,800, at Rs. 4,999 and Rs. 4,599, and both bags sell within a rupee of Rs. 930. Neither label has a storefront where that list price could ever have been charged. Compare uppercase, an Indian luggage brand that sells through its own site: it takes 20 per cent off a stated Rs. 1,500. Same shelf, same week, and a far smaller number.

Are the unrated bags on Myntra worth buying?

Possibly, but you are buying blind and should know it. Eight of the nineteen listings seated here publish no rating: Redsea at Rs. 646, Vesara at Rs. 899, bagneeds at Rs. 930, Puma's printed shoulder bag at Rs. 1,004, Gulaab Jaipur at Rs. 1,102, NFI essentials at Rs. 1,149, Lara Karen at Rs. 1,399 and Converse at Rs. 1,499. Two of those - the Puma and the Converse - come from brands with retail networks and returns processes, which lowers the risk considerably; the rest are marketplace labels where the rating is the only check available and it is absent. The clearest case against paying for an unrated listing is the Lara Karen shopper at Rs. 1,399, because the LAVIE SPORT crossbody costs exactly the same and comes from a brand with shops.

Why do two DailyObjects bags have the same price and different ratings?

Because they are the same bag in two finishes, listed separately, which is how a well-run brand should do it. The Alligator Retreat crossbody and the Carbon Black Retreat crossbody both sell at Rs. 1,199 against a stated Rs. 2,499 and both are badged 52 per cent; the alligator print carries 57 ratings at 4.6 and the plain black 164 at 4.7. Black outsells print, so black has the bigger crowd. Elsewhere on Myntra the same brand's Khaki Beige and Midnight Blue March crossbodies returned an identical rating count of 393 against each other, which is a pooled count rather than two separate records - we dropped one of those and seated neither, since both sit above this page's Rs. 1,500 ceiling anyway.

Do Myntra coupons work on bags this cheap?

Most Myntra coupon offers carry a minimum cart value, which is the practical obstacle on a shelf where the best-evidenced bags cost between Rs. 749 and Rs. 1,199 - one sling will often not clear the threshold and two will. We did not test any code at checkout for this page and will not quote a discount we have not seen applied; the live coupon page is linked above. What this read gives you is the baseline to beat on 24 August 2026: Rs. 549 for the cheapest bag on the shelf, Rs. 1,199 for the best-rated one, and Rs. 1,499 for the top of the range this page covers.

More Myntra coverage on Zoutons

How Zoutons picks deals Zoutons may earn a commission when you buy through links on this page. Every price, stated MRP, discount percentage, rating and rating count here was read on 24 August 2026 from Myntra's own listing data across the handbags shelf, pages one to three, plus the women-handbags listing. Thirty-two listings came back carrying both a price and a stated MRP; the 19 seated here are every one of those priced at or under Rs. 1,500, in price order, after removing listings whose product photograph had already been used and listings whose rating count repeated one already seated. Myntra reports rating counts pooled across a label's catalogue rather than per product in some cases, so a large count on this page may describe a brand rather than the individual bag shown; we have printed the raw count on every card so you can weigh it yourself, and we show a rating pill only above fifty ratings. Eight of the seated listings carry no published rating at all and are labelled as such. An MRP is the figure the listing states and we have not verified that any bag here was ever sold at it, so every discount percentage on this page is arithmetic over Myntra's own two numbers rather than a measured saving - a distinction that matters most for the seven marketplace labels here with no storefront of their own. Materials, capacities and dimensions are quoted from the listings themselves and are reported rather than inspected; we have not handled any bag on this page. Myntra prices change frequently and can differ once a coupon or bank offer is applied at checkout - re-check before paying.
