A sunglass with 9,283 ratings. A frames aisle whose best listing has 151. Twenty picks from 122 listings read on August 11.
We read 122 Myntra eyewear listings on August 11, 2026 and seated 20. This is one wall running two aisles that could not be more different. The sunglasses aisle sits at a median Rs. 499 and is thick with evidence - 27 listings above a hundred ratings, one with 9,283. The prescription frames aisle costs almost three times as much at a median Rs. 1,416 and produced exactly one listing above a hundred votes across 47 rows. You are being asked to pay more for the aisle you can check least.
Every price below was pulled from Myntra on August 11, 2026 and checked against the MRP on the listing. Stack them with the live codes on our Myntra coupons page, which the deals desk re-verifies daily.

Rs. 593 at 76% off a stated Rs. 2,499 - a second cheap frame, also unrated.

Why it earned its spot A house label at Rs. 479, with just enough evidence to be worth mentioning.
First: read the rating count before the badge, because the sunglasses aisle here has twenty-seven listings above a hundred votes and the frames aisle has one. Second: compare listings at the same price, since two Voyage pairs both sell at Rs. 812 and are badged 55 and 73 per cent - the same MRP-field arithmetic we found across the watch counter. Third: separate the optical claims, because anti-reflective coating and polarisation do something measurable while blue-light filtering is weakly supported and not recommended by ophthalmology bodies for eye strain. Fourth: buy a rigid case, since it costs Rs. 299, never discounts, and is the only thing that stops a Rs. 500 pair being crushed. Fifth: remember a frame is half a purchase - prescription lenses are fitted and paid for separately, the same hidden-cost problem we flagged on the bags shelf.

This wall runs two aisles with completely different rating coverage. The sunglasses aisle gave us 75 rows at a median Rs. 499, of which 54 are rated and 27 clear a hundred votes, topping out at 9,283 ratings on one listing. The prescription frames aisle gave us 47 rows at a median Rs. 1,416 - almost three times the price - of which 13 are rated and exactly one clears a hundred votes, the best of them at 151. You are being asked to pay more for the aisle you can check least, and that is the single most useful thing to know before opening either.
Two Voyage pairs on this page both sell at exactly Rs. 812. One is badged 55 per cent and the other 73, because their stated MRPs are Rs. 1,800 and Rs. 3,000. Same brand, same wall, same morning, identical price, eighteen points apart. Elsewhere a stated Rs. 4,999 on a Rs. 594 pair produces the widest badge in the read at 88 per cent. The percentage is measuring the MRP field, so the price and the rating count are the only two numbers worth carrying between listings.
UV protection, polarised, blue-cut and antiglare are quoted from the listings and we have tested none of them. They are not equivalent claims. Anti-reflective coating has an uncontroversial and visible effect. Polarisation genuinely filters reflected glare and only one listing in our read claims it. Blue-light filtering, by contrast, is weakly supported - major ophthalmology bodies do not recommend blue-cut lenses for eye strain or sleep - and we say so on the card rather than repeating the marketing. No listing on this wall publishes a UV400 certification.
Ted Smith filed nineteen rows into this read and twelve of them sit at exactly Rs. 1,416 against exactly Rs. 2,080 - one colourway family rather than twelve frames, and not one of the nineteen carries a rating. PERKEY filed fourteen rows with six at an identical Rs. 1,999, and all three Eyejack rows sit at exactly 85 per cent off. We seated one representative of each rather than letting catalogue depth decide the shape of the page.
In our August 11, 2026 read of 122 Myntra eyewear listings, the prescription frames aisle sat at a median Rs. 1,416 against the sunglasses aisle's Rs. 499 - almost three times the price. Part of that is construction, since frames are built to carry fitted lenses and take daily all-day wear. But the more useful fact is what you get for the extra money in terms of evidence: 27 sunglasses listings carry a hundred ratings or more and exactly one frame does. And a frame is only half the purchase, because prescription lenses are fitted and paid for separately, usually costing more than the frame itself.
We would not buy them for the reason they are sold. The published evidence that blue-light filtering lenses reduce digital eye strain or improve sleep is weak and contested, and major ophthalmology bodies do not recommend them for that purpose - eye strain at a screen is far better addressed by breaks, blink rate and screen distance. What is worth having is the anti-reflective coating that usually comes on the same lens, which measurably cuts reflections and glare and is uncontroversial. We report the blue-cut description as the seller's own wording. If you like the frames, buy the frames.
Because the badge is calculated from a number the seller chooses. Two Voyage pairs in our read both sell at exactly Rs. 812; one states an MRP of Rs. 1,800 and is badged 55 per cent, the other states Rs. 3,000 and is badged 73. Same brand, same wall, same morning, identical money. The widest badge in the whole read, 88 per cent, comes from a stated Rs. 4,999 on a Rs. 594 pair. Sort by price and read the rating count - those are the only two numbers that carry meaning between listings here.
Eight of our 122 rows carried a zero badge, and seven of them are eyewear cases rather than eyewear - four Chumbak cases at Rs. 694 to Rs. 695, two SAM & MARSHALL leather cases and a Decathlon rigid case at Rs. 299. The only actual pair of sunglasses on the wall at no discount is an H&M polarised pair at Rs. 1,499, which is also the only listing in the read claiming a polarised lens. The pattern is worth knowing in itself: on this wall the eyewear runs to 88 per cent off and the accessories that protect it do not move at all.
On evidence, the Voyage unisex square sunglasses at Rs. 812 with 9,283 ratings at 4.3 - the largest crowd anywhere in the read by a wide margin, in the most universally wearable shape here. Under Rs. 500, the DressBerry X fwd round pair at Rs. 499 carries 3,548 ratings and sits at the sunglasses aisle's median price. If you need prescription frames, the ROYAL SON metal round at Rs. 699 is the only frame on the wall with more than a hundred ratings, and metal is the most adjustable construction in the aisle. And buy the Rs. 299 Decathlon rigid case with whichever pair you choose.
