Two mixer grinders on a purple colour-blocked banner — a black Wonderchef Vista 750W with four jars, the one model sold by both retailers, beside a Prestige jar set, the category compared in this Tata CLiQ against Amazon mixer grinder price read

Two retailers, one mixer grinder that both of them stock, and a Rs. 700 gap on an identical claimed MRP. What makes the rest of this read worth a few minutes is the pattern we found while trying to match the other 79 listings: on Tata CLiQ, the discount percentage is a property of the brand, not of the product.

📅 Update log:
8 November 2026: first published. Tata CLiQ figures read from its own search API for "mixer grinder" and "pressure cooker" (80 results); Amazon figures read from its own search results for "mixer grinder 750 watt" with sponsored placements dropped (14 results). Both read logged out, from India, with nothing bought and no coupon or card offer applied.

If you are buying a mixer grinder this week, Tata CLiQ and Amazon are two of the places most people check. We read both on 8 November 2026 and tried to match every model we could identify from each retailer's own product title.

Exactly one model came back on both: the Wonderchef Vista, 750 watts, four jars. Both sites state the identical Rs. 6,500 reference price. Amazon charges Rs. 2,799 and Tata CLiQ charges Rs. 3,499. That is a Rs. 700 gap, 20.0% of the Tata CLiQ price, on a product that is the same product.

The more useful finding is what we noticed while trying to match the rest. Tata CLiQ's discount badges are not set per product at all. They are set per brand — seventeen Prestige listings at exactly 30%, seven Borosil listings at exactly 20%, all six Meyer listings at exactly 10%.

Everything below is read from the two retailers' own pages, logged out, from India, with nothing bought and no coupon applied.

Only one model could be matched. Tata CLiQ's 80 results and Amazon's 14 overlap on exactly one product. The rest of this page compares the two shelves rather than individual products, because matching a "750W mixer grinder with 4 jars" on one site to a "750W mixer grinder with 4 jars" on the other would not be a comparison of the same machine. Where a shelf-level figure is quoted, the paragraph says which result set it is computed over.

Both retailers state the same Rs. 6,500 reference price, to the rupee. That is unusual and useful: it means the two badges are calculated from an identical base, so for once the percentages can be compared directly. Amazon's 57% and Tata CLiQ's 46% describe a real Rs. 700 difference rather than two different claims.

The review counts are not close. Tata CLiQ shows four ratings on this listing; Amazon shows 221. Neither is a large number, but one is 55 times the other, and on Tata CLiQ four ratings is actually above that shelf's median.

Nothing here says Tata CLiQ is doing anything improper. A retailer sets its own price and its own reference price. What this row shows is that on the single product where a like-for-like check was possible, the gap went one way by Rs. 700.

Tata CLiQ sets the discount by brand, not by product

This is the part worth knowing even if you never buy a mixer grinder. Sort all 80 Tata CLiQ results by brand and the percentages stop looking like individual pricing decisions.

Seventeen Prestige listings carry exactly 30% off. Six more carry exactly 15%. They span Rs. 2,445 to Rs. 12,070 and cover mixer grinders, cookware and kettles. All six Meyer listings in the read badge exactly 10%; all three Indian Bartan listings badge exactly 16%.

Across the whole 80-row file there are 19 distinct discount percentages, and 30% alone accounts for 17 of them. On Amazon's 14 results there are 14 distinct percentages — one per listing.

What that means for a shopper is simple: on Tata CLiQ the badge tells you which brand you are looking at, not whether this particular machine is keenly priced. A Prestige mixer badged 30% is badged 30% because it is a Prestige, not because that model is being cleared. It also means two Prestige models at very different prices will wear the same percentage, which is exactly what the table below shows.

Five of these ten badge exactly 30%, and they run from Rs. 2,445 to Rs. 7,310. The rating counts in the right-hand column are the whole story of this shelf's second problem: four, two, two, four, one, one, thirteen, four — and one listing with none at all.

Across all 80 Tata CLiQ results, 39 publish a rating and the median count among those is two. The highest count anywhere in the file is eighteen. That is not a criticism of the machines; it is a statement about how much published buyer experience is available to read before you commit Rs. 4,000.

Wonderchef Vista 750W, 4 jarsRs. 2,799Rs. 6,50057%221

The Prestige Iris at Rs. 2,699 carries 75,245 ratings. That is 4,180 times the deepest rating pool on Tata CLiQ's entire 80-row read. Three more Amazon listings here carry over 28,000 each.

Note the badge column. Fourteen listings, fourteen different percentages, from 35% to 66% — each one derived from a reference price that seller chose independently. That is the opposite failure mode to Tata CLiQ's. On Amazon the badge varies so freely that it carries no comparable meaning across listings; on Tata CLiQ it varies so little that it carries no meaning within a brand. In both cases the number to read is the price.

One caveat this page will not skip: the Amazon figures come from a search for "mixer grinder 750 watt", so the median of Rs. 2,674 is the median of a wattage-filtered shelf, not of everything Amazon sells. Tata CLiQ's Rs. 4,515 median covers its mixers at every wattage from 300W to 1000W. The two medians are not a like-for-like comparison and should not be read as one — the Wonderchef Vista row near the top of this page is the only genuinely like-for-like number here.

Why only one model matched

Tata CLiQ's mixer shelf in this read is built on Prestige (24 listings), Borosil (13), Wonderchef (8) and Bergner (8). Amazon's 750W results are Butterfly, Crompton, Philips, Bajaj, Havells, Longway, CADLEC, Prestige and Wonderchef. Both sites stock Prestige and Wonderchef, but the specific models differ — Tata CLiQ lists the Prestige Nutri-Mate, Diva, Superb Plus, Stylo V2, Deluxe LS, Astra, Fusion 4J, Regal, Delight and Endura; Amazon's Prestige result is the Iris, which Tata CLiQ's read did not return.

Matching on anything looser than a model name would mean comparing two different machines and calling one of them overpriced, which this page does not do. The Wonderchef Vista is matched on brand, model name, wattage and jar count all appearing in both retailers' own titles.

What to actually do

  • Check the model name on both sites before you buy. On the one model that appears on both, the gap was Rs. 700 on an identical stated MRP.
  • Ignore the badge on Tata CLiQ entirely. It is a brand-level rate: 30% means Prestige, 20% means Borosil, 10% means Meyer. It is not telling you that this model is discounted more than that one.
  • Read the review count, not the star average. Tata CLiQ's median is two ratings and its maximum is eighteen; a 5.0 average on one rating is not evidence of anything.
  • Do not compare the two medians. Amazon's Rs. 2,674 is a 750W shelf; Tata CLiQ's Rs. 4,515 spans 300W to 1000W. Compare wattage to wattage.
  • Check the jar count and the wattage in the title. On both shelves the same brand sells three-jar and four-jar versions of one model at different prices — Wonderchef's Cube 1000W is Rs. 4,299 with three jars and Rs. 4,799 with four on Tata CLiQ.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is a mixer grinder cheaper on Tata CLiQ or Amazon?
On the one model both sites sold on 8 November 2026, Amazon. The Wonderchef Vista 750W with four jars is Rs. 2,799 on Amazon and Rs. 3,499 on Tata CLiQ — a Rs. 700 gap, or 20.0% of the Tata CLiQ price — and both sites state the identical Rs. 6,500 reference price. That is the only like-for-like comparison this read supports, because no other model code appeared on both sites. Tata CLiQ's mixer shelf does run dearer overall (median Rs. 4,515 against Rs. 2,674), but that comparison is not like-for-like: the Amazon figure is from a 750W-filtered search and the Tata CLiQ figure spans 300W to 1000W.
Why do so many Tata CLiQ products show exactly 30% off?
Because on this shelf the discount is set per brand rather than per product. Of the 24 Prestige listings in this read, 17 badge exactly 30% and six badge exactly 15%. The same pattern holds elsewhere: seven of 13 Borosil listings badge exactly 20%, all six Meyer listings badge exactly 10%, and all three Indian Bartan listings badge exactly 16%. Across all 80 results there are only 19 distinct percentages. The practical consequence is that the badge identifies the brand, not a model-specific deal — so compare the prices themselves, including against other retailers.
How many reviews do Tata CLiQ listings have?
Very few. 39 of the 80 listings in this read publish a rating at all, and the median review count among those is two. The highest count in the entire file is 18. For comparison, the Amazon listings read the same day have a median of 2,883 ratings and the Prestige Iris alone carries 75,245. A 5.0-star average resting on a single rating, which appears several times on this shelf, is not meaningful evidence — always read the count before the stars.
What is a good price for a 750W mixer grinder in India?
On the Amazon shelf read on 8 November 2026, the 750W machines from established brands run Rs. 2,649 to Rs. 3,699 — Butterfly Smart at Rs. 2,649, Prestige Iris at Rs. 2,699, Crompton Ameo at Rs. 2,741, Butterfly Jet Elite at Rs. 2,749, Wonderchef Vista at Rs. 2,799, Philips HL7756 at Rs. 3,099, Havells Prisma at Rs. 3,407 and Bajaj Rex at Rs. 3,699. Below that, CADLEC at Rs. 1,199 and Longway at Rs. 1,599 are marketplace names with far shallower review histories. Nothing on this page was run or tested; motor life, jar quality and grinding performance are not assessed here.
Do Tata CLiQ and Amazon state the same MRP for the same product?
On the one matched product here, yes — both state Rs. 6,500 for the Wonderchef Vista, which is why their two badges can be compared directly for once. That is not usually the case across retailers: identical products frequently carry different reference prices on different sites, which makes the discount percentages non-comparable even when the product is the same. Nothing on this page alleges that any stated MRP is false; setting a reference price above a selling price is ordinary retail practice.
Prices & codes last verified: November 8, 2026
Every price, stated MRP, discount badge and review count on this page was read from Tata CLiQ's and Amazon's own pages on 8 November 2026, logged out, from India, with nothing bought and no coupon, bank offer or card discount applied. Only one product is compared directly — the Wonderchef Vista 750W with four jars — because that is the only model whose brand, name, wattage and jar count appear in both retailers' own titles. Shelf-level figures are computed over each retailer's full result set, 80 on Tata CLiQ and 14 on Amazon; the Amazon set comes from a 750W-filtered search and its median is therefore not comparable to Tata CLiQ's all-wattage median. Nothing here alleges that any stated MRP is false, nor that any retailer's brand-level discount rate is improper; the observation is only that on Tata CLiQ the percentage identifies the brand rather than a model-specific offer. No mixer grinder was run or tested; motor life, jar quality, grinding performance and warranty terms are not assessed. Delivery charges and installation are excluded. Retail prices change daily and this reflects one day's reading at each retailer.
